My husband just picked this up as part of a custom coffret at the ELDO boutique in Paris. This is my favorite of the three–it smells warm and comforting to me with a freshness in the opening that is not screechy or soapy. The fizzy aldehydic opening doesn’t really evoke champagne to me. I think Mr. Honest hit the nail on the head with their comparison to the Haribo cola bottles, oddly enough. The grapefruit is gentle and doesn’t last long. For some reason I also get a hit of something aromatic in the opening that reminds me of pine or rosemary. I am guessing it’s the cardamom but it just doesn’t smell like cardamom to me. It dries down pretty quickly into a warm, not-too-sweet vanilla-ish scent. The projection isn’t too good, maybe 4-6 inches, and neither is the longevity, on me anyway. I have hot sweaty skin that burns off scents relatively quickly. I think I would give this one a 3.5 out of 5. 4 for the scent, because it’s nice and different but not too terribly complex. 3 for the performance.

Picked up a 30ml of this. I liked it a lot the first few wearings. Now it just sort of smells awkward to me, like playdough or something. It’s not a huge turn off, just not as amazing as the first time I tried it. Strange how you become accustomed to certain fragrances and in time they lose their magic.

Most fragrances I sample need to grow on me before I decide how I feel about them, and whether or not they even smell good. This is the rare little gem that wows and dazzles immediately. It is so bright and effervescent but without being too intense or rough around the edges. I don’t favor a lot of citruses on my skin but I always find them pleasurable to smell no matter what they may be–the freshness and sweetness of citrus just elicits a happy feeling almost 100% of the time.
This gave me that undeniable citrus smile AND then completely stunned me with its gorgeous depth. Just for reference, I usually take a good long while to decide to purchase a full bottle as I am not impulsive and like to get to know a fragrance well before I buy. However, I bought a full bottle of this the day after I first smelled it. I love cardamom so much and the notes at play here create such a pleasant, unique and beautiful impression. Lorenox also performs very nicely on me so that is another element here that gives this a purring quality, along with the soft labdanum. I wouldn’t even classify this as a citrus; it is a bright and sensual clean scent that blooms into something so magnificent and spicy while also being quite tame and appropriate for any occasion. I also smell something very nostalgic here, like a soap I used years ago as a child (still not entirely sure) but it is just a beautiful, clean and uncomplicated fragrance that still manages to seem intangible and unique. It all works so well together. A lighthearted fragrance with a distinct personality. It won’t challenge you or fight you, it just wants to be there to make you happy.

The champagne note dissapears in just 15 minutes (even on clothes) leaving you with an extremely basic designer freshy smell. The champagne note was the only thing interesting about this so it’s a shame it disappears in only a matter of minutes. I would not recommend this to a friend.
Скаббард – :
For me this smells of gin, stale sprite soda, mellow tonka, sandalwood and some magic.
I get 4 or 5 hours and fair or rather poor projection, but this is so lovely and effortless I will have to get this.
Thia fragrance really speaks to me and is effortless, casual and yet charming.
A great scent for a first date in a park, travel or a daytime city fragrance.
One of the best modern fragrances I have come across.

I FINALLY figured it out.
After wearing it several days in a row, I noticed that the drydown smelled incredibly familiar somehow. It didn’t take long for me to pinpoint the similarity – it basically smells like a slightly better quality version of Moschino Uomo(?).
To me, it’s unmistakable. The citrus, the fizziness, the sweetish finish. But the similarity doesn’t end there…
You might giggle at this, but on my skin, both Remarkable People (and Moschino Uomo?) smell very similar to those small Coca-Cola bottle candies from Haribo. You know the ones I’m talking about? The little gummies with the black and clear gradient? I’m totally serious. I used to love those things as a kid so the smell is deeply ingrained.
So yeah, check it out for yourself – on the skin of course – and see if you get the same thing. Liquid candy. Good or bad?
spandx – :
Very nice smelling? Yes. Unisex? In my opinion, no. I got a sample of this with very high hopes and expectations after watching a couple intriguing YouTube reviews. Within seconds of spraying on my arm, my wife and I both agreed this is a women’s scent, not recommended for a man at all. Still having my hopes high, I insisted we let it dry down an hour. It remained linear, still fully a women’s scent. I think it would smell absolutely wonderful on a woman, but entirely too feminine for a man. I certainly don’t recommend you blind buy this, find yourself a sample first.
Nikich – :
If you want a masculine fragrance for women, that’s it! The citrus sandalwood champagne notes make the perfume woody, which is so beautiful!
lexa-qs – :
Oh my…! This is fantastic! Simply amazing!
gfhfljrc – :
A nice, natural smelling, grapefruit cologne with a musky dry down. It’s true that it doesn’t last long but it’s extremely pleasant while it does. And if you think of it as a cologne which, as Luca Turin says, is meant to “smell nice and then go away” then it’s not a problem. It skews slightly masculine but not so much that I won’t be wearing it.
A word on the “champagne” note, I got no alcohol at all. The “champagne” manifested for me as a sparkling aldehyde opening which I really enjoyed and is probably this best part of it.
In summary, a wearable, easy to like cologne with a sparkling grapefruit opening.
LisaRoseFox – :
Wow, I REALLY like this for a man. I prefer more unisex (unisexy, lol) fragrances on men over something overly “manly”. Smells fantastic and I could probably “borrow” it occasionally for myself too. It’s almost unisex but I’d say slightly masculine leaning. It’s a really fun and fresh smell. Just different enough to be interesting yet still an inoffensive, wear anywhere, type of scent.
mag-prol – :
Opening is just gorgeous. That mix of champagne and grapefruit is just breathtaking!
Scent: 9/10 (For opening alone)
Longevity: 6.5/10 (about 5 hours)
Projection: 6/10 (about 1.5 hours)
Versatility: 9/10 (pretty much any occasion, not so appropriate for cold winter and clubbing situation though)
OVERALL RATING: 7.5/10
This is a hidden gem. If it only performed a little bit better.Anyway nothing is ideal. Well done with this one Etat Libre d’Orange.
stein1 – :
On me, this opened with bright citrus and soap! Maybe that reads as champagne to others, but not so much to me.
Soon I started picking up the lightly sweet spiciness of cardamom and as time went on, spices, resins and woods took over the citrus.
I actually find this quite different than typical (dept store) fragrances, as generally a spicy scent for women has a good bit of vanilla and for men, patchouli (for women, too). (No offense to dept store frags… I love ’em and they make up much of my scent wardrobe). Although I love vanilla fragrances, this one isn’t hurting for lack of it and I’m VERY pleased that they didn’t patchouli it to death. Instead, this is a unique, interesting and quite wearable fragrance.
I find it especially interesting that although it seems like the opening notes are completely gone, I occasionally catch another whiff of the clean, soapy opening – completely devoid of the spiciness. Then, as fast as it came, it’s gone again and it’s back to spicy!
This is gender-neutral that leans masculine a bit. It’s definitely a departure from my style – I probably wouldn’t have tried it but it is part of a sample-sized bottle set I bought recently. Although I definitely won’t be springing for a whole bottle, I do like it. Unfortunately, I’m somewhat sensitive to something in it, as my nose hasn’t stopped itching since I applied it. 🙁
Because of that, I have to rate it pretty low on “office friendliness” – just 4/10.
I think it’s more of an adult fragrance, so I’d say age range is probably 19 y.o. & up.
Be well & happy! Have a wonderful New Year!
PolpravHalf – :
Remarkably similar to Dolce and Gabbana’s the one. Except with a fizzy champagne note on top.
FOISON – :
Amazing scent! Will be wearing this a lot. This one is a must try. I get a crisp sparkling cream smooth vibe from this. Love at first sniff.
Zhurenko.evgenija11 – :
I like this for a general, easy to wear, summer fragrance. The grapefruit is photorealistic in the Atelier sort of way but the cardamom and pepper break it up and make it a little more exotic and interesting. There is something sweet here, and a bit synthetic in the drydown which comes early, and I bet it’s the Lorenox which is eerily familiar in a lot of other warm-sweet fragrances. I like the top notes, the champagne fizzy grapefruit and the labdanum—but it breaks down soon into a fruity-licious type of scent that is a bit generic—not remarkable. It’s not “bad”—and I’d wear it to the office, but I don’t think it’s exceptional.
That sweet note is also in “Like This” but can be explained by the Immortelle but I suspect the Lorenox boosts the immortelle in that too, and here it’s just sweetening the grapefruit.
The scent would have been better minus that—just grapefruit, pepper and cardamon and a few other notes, but it may be used to extend the longevity which is poor with citrus in general and here as well, as others have noted along with silage.
Overall, a pleasant, easy-breezy scent, not as common as what your neighbor might be wearing, but not “remarkable” either. Silage and longevity poor to moderate, which may be a plus for some (for me, I like it a bit heavier and a whole lot longer).
shakal11 – :
Remarkable people is a great scent. First, it started with a sweet citrus fizzy champagne but stays linear as long the fragrance last. I got at least 5 hrs with decent projection. This is a versatile fragrance as well (clubbing, dates, casual and office). I do recommend it for spring and summer only. Do I recommend it? At least try it but for the price and EDP concentration for spring/summer scent there are better choices. So 6,5/10
Virginijusx – :
I liked the opening a lot but very quickly it becomes a fruity synthetic mess.
bykina.jana – :
Smells like a peppery YSL L’Homme flanker on my skin. Good – and I appreciate what seem to be mild aldehydes – but it’s not “remarkable” enough with my chemistry to buy a whole bottle at these prices.
Absolutely worth a try if you like this kind of scent, especially since ELDO fragrances seem to vary so much from person to person.
Ava_fromAF – :
This one is…ok. No note seems to be prominent for me, and sadly I neither get the curry nor pepper or indeed any “musky” notes. For me, it’s a mostly citric scent and then fades into nothing. A nice, pleasing scent for hot days.
petr49 – :
A hot summer day, the air is standing still. Suddenly a breeze from the small lake separating small farmlands from the forest brings a cool refreshing facet to the landscape. On the same time I can hear soft, far away voices from a small beach between the reeds where people seek refuge from the busy city life.
This is where Remarkable People takes me. The opening Champagne – grapefruit chord is to me so refreshing and so summery. Fortunately this chord is still mildly present in the dry down where Sandalwood and Labdanum embed it in a soft and warm woodiness.
To me Remarkable People is summer at its best!
artist34 – :
KennyLetty96 – :
Wow this works very well on me, I can not say I just like it, I’m loving it, in me opens the elegant Labdanum mixed with Grapefruit, soon comes the sparkling touch of Champagne, what a beautiful blend, this is very good, in I have a good performance.
I value this:
Smell: 10/10
Projection: 7.5/10
Longevity: 7.5/10
tormster – :
Inoffensive scent, boho inspired. Reminded me the smell of Voluspa volcano candles.
Doesn’t have musk or similar strong base, therefore doesn’t last. Nothing special, but safe and pleasant.
saa_1970 – :
In somehow it reminds me of Herrera For Men 1991 specially on the beginning then every perfume takes different way.
any way its a good but you dont feel like a new scent or special , i feel like i smelled this scent before.
Daren – :
I agree that the name “Remarkable People” seems to be at odds with the juice. However, I LOVE the smell of cardamom, which presents itself strongly throughout, and contributes to the overall holiday vibe of this fragrance.
Alex_FD – :
Got this as a sample and initially I sort of expected it to be masculine. It definitely has a masculinity to it, but I think this could be unisex. It is comforting and clean-smelling. The kind of fragrance you want to pull closer to you. Not overpowering and not a fragrance you can smell clear across the room. It does get a tad sweet on the dry-down, but a very subtle sweetness.
My only complaint about this is that this does not last long once applied. If lucky it lasts 2 hours. I just feel a fragrance of this price point should last longer. When I purchase a fragrance of this price point, I do not want to have to re-spritz every couple of hours. But that aside, the notes in this mesh very beautifully. I think this is great for the Fall time of year but could also be enjoyed any time of year.
lag08 – :
Almost a dupe of Frapin 1270, regardless of official notes. It’s a bit less musky, a bit fresher and lighter. Nicely done.
Bevzon – :
finally!!!
i’ve found it!!!
when i was a teenager, i used to use a lynx/axe deodorant spray called ‘inca’. it’s long since discontinued, and i’ve searched ebay and the like to find it. and this scent smells almost dead on like inca!
haven’t looked at the ingredients, nor the other reviews, so i could be repeating this, but this is as close to inca as i have come. it’s a wonderful replacement of the lynx spray and i’m overjoyed to have found it! might get a sample from one of the decant sites or something, but for now i’m quite happy i found this!
no idea of the ingredients, something citrus striking an accord with something resinous. seriously, no idea. i’m more taken with the fact it smells like inca!!!
Kdvladimirovich – :
Deep, pleasant spicy scent, with excellent base notes of labdanum and sandalwood. It’s a must have for all oriental scents’ lovers. For me it’s just too spicy but it’s just the matter of my taste, not the scent quality. It’s great quality indeed.
vanobb – :
if you want to be remarkable you need at least something that stands out. It is not with this perfume you will get there, one could say that it’s nice but it’s so low as diffusion that it’s not worth the effort. I still just empty all a sample on a piece of tisssu and I need to put my nose in it to smell something vaguely.
Maybe Remarkable Invisible People is more appropriate.
nazikkk – :
I really like this fragrance, but have to agree with the other reviewers here that the performance is very poor. Most $5 drug-store body sprays last longer than this did.
I got this as a sample directly from ELDO with my purchase of ‘Like This’ so I know the juice is good but it barely lasted an hour on my skin. It was a very enjoyable hour lol But left me disappointed that it was over.
My other ELDO frags last for DAYS, so I don’t know what’s up with this one but I definitely won’t be purchasing a bottle even though I almost ordered one during that glorious hour lol Glad I waited though.
Shame because it’s a very nice, wearable frag just no longetivity for what it costs. ❤
23dmitrii – :
Remarkable People is lovely for the first hour on my skin: a cheerful, effervescent and spicy mix of citrus and woody notes.
Unfortunately, after that it falls apart and becomes a rather flat and dreary interpretation of sandalwood. There are more complex and longer lasting perfumes than this, and for less than this costs.
LemoDemssin – :
Niente di nuovo, un odore gia sentito e piu volte.
Simile a una colonia, ricorda altri profumi.
dibeimpeday – :
Just tried a sample. At once getting the cardamon and grapefruit. Mmmmmm! warm and comforting like being wrapped in a blanket of spice. Love. Will see what happens from here in terms of drydown.
paga26 – :
An odd little fragrance that I found to be both remarkable and…well, not-so-much at the same time. Remarkable People opens with fresh burst of champagne and grapefruit. Although I’ve never tried one, I get the impression this is what a Grapefruit Mimosa would taste like. A short while later and I’m sensing champagne and sandalwood, wrapped in a blanket of warm & sweet spices, with a hint of grapefruit lingering in the background. It’s interesting to say the least.
Performance was a bit disappointing in that it lasting around 4-hours and sat softly on my skin after the first 45-minutes. This fragrance is unique and I enjoyed some aspects while wearing this scent. Conversely, there was something about this fragrance–while a very nice blend–that was just a little off. I can’t describe it and there is nothing wrong with the fragrances….just my personal choice, I suppose.
Moreover, while Remarkable People is indeed unique, there was also something about that was vaguely familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The impression I had was that something in this fragrance was reminded me of an inexpensive fragrances I’ve tried/used in the past. Regardless, I feel this fragrances is worth trying and I’m giving a tepid like.
qsx – :
I like this fragrance, and from the notes, this is really unexpected. I can’t smell any champagne or curry, I smell a flowery redbull. It makes me very nostalgic in a great way. Very comforting! It is like a more elegant / less harsh version of Knowing – Estée Lauder. I can’t comment on longevity-sillage because this is a sample.
Grybiyan – :
“Remarkable people”
Its opens quite “dejavu” fruity boozy aromatic tropically delightful then turns into smooth spicy flowery aldehyde nuances with warm woody powdery base .
I found this little creative Interesting , positive energetic modern crowd pleaser from “ELDO”. Thats seems turns more to the masculine side !
Remarkable
9/10.
