I know it is only The Body Shop and nothing fancy, but this is one of my greatest loves. Only wear it in winter, as it is this warm, sweet, cosy veil that seems to stay on all day. When I heard it is getting discontinued I bought 2 back up bottle as I can’t imagine winter without it. It’s one of the perfumes that get me the most compliments-I guess there is something very sexy about it and I am definitely not complaining. I have never tried White Musk so could’t compare.

Summary: cozy cinnamon soap scent. Comfortable and nice. Unusually fresh and clean for a cinnamon. Near skin scent only.
    I own the perfume oil.
UPDATE: performs much more beautifully if I apply more generously and the day is warmer. This second time it feels more round and well-developed, and no longer missing anything to my taste. It is a warm but clean musk with a fresh and not too sweet cinnamon, and actually projects at arm’s length.

To be honest, I was almost disappointed when I first applied the oil.
Upon application while it is still wet, I could almost only smell the soapy-ish musk, with maybe a hint of spices, but mostly an airy and soapy musk. Similar to White musk if you stripped it of all the flowers and added something vaguely warm.
From the reviews, I was expecting a masculine scent, dark, smoky, and I got none of it. So my expectations were shattered.
As usual with perfume oils, upon drying and warming up it started developing more. I still don’t get any tobacco, but the cinnamon comes through beautifully here. Not the sweet-ish, dessert-ish kind of cinnamon.
In my skin, it’s dry cinnamon bark mixed with soapy white musk, which I end up registering as cinnamon scented glycerin soap.
The sillage is pretty small, and after a pair of hours you can only smell it putting your nose to my skin. It does linger there for a long time.
After 3 hours: It’s cozy, simple and warm, perfectly office-safe, but I sure am glad I bought it half price. It’s cozy and warm but for me seems to lack something.
Update, after 7 hours: the scent is still here and I am starting to enjoy it a lot as a skin scent. This musk does not die 🙂 and the result is an unusually clean and fresh cinnamon scent. I really feel like I washed up with cinnamon glycerin soap, and I actually am enjoying it.
It’s the warm, cozy embrace of a soft blanked after a nice warm shower now, and it’s quite serene and lovely.
It WAS a good purchase after all 😀

This one of the body shop perfume which long lasting in my skin

I like this one for a body shop fragrance it reminds me of a mall scent version of (the much better) brooks brothers NY gentleman, it’s like NY gentleman if they took out the distinctive qualities and replaced everything with a mall store type clean but inexpensive musk. It’s good and the mall scent musk has its redeeming qualities in itself. Honestly I’d rather wear this than most other things at the mall aside from the nicer high end designers tha are actually good to wear at any point.

I have to say that I really don’t agree with most of these reviews. I bought this for cheap at my local TJMaxx after smelling the shower gel in Red Musk. It seemed very nice. But when I opened the box at home and sampled this oil it smelled like a generic mens cologne from the 1980s — all barbershop and herbs. I don’t pick up any cinnamon, or tobacco or anything very spicy. Maybe the bottle I picked up is pretty old or something. At any rate, I’ll be giving this one away because it just isn’t very pleasant. Luckily it seems to fade pretty fast.

I can hardly smell this at all, really low perfume oil concentration to my nose .

I love this fragrance – spicy, creamy, woodsy and warm – but it just doesn’t last on me more than 3 hrs. To me there is no point in wearing perfume unless I can know that it will be with me most of the day – 6-8 hrs. I’ve tried many perfumes and oils from TBS and really liked them but none of them had any longevity.

I was never impressed with anything The Body Shop sells. However I found the fragrance oil at Marshall’s for $9.99. Probably because it’s been discontinued, and as a rule Marshall’s never has any oils as far as I know. You can’t judge this at the first whiff: after an hour the prominent notes are tobacco and leather. No cinnamon or pepper….Maybe it will take more time to warm up, good thing I’m not in a hurry.

I find it shocking to see the listed notes containing deep, warm, spicey notes over a musky base, but that’s the exact opposite of what I can smell. It’s a clean cottony white musk but not the women’s drugstore body lotion type of white musk that can be found in the original white musk also by the body shop. This white musk is a fresh, clean, crisp cotton sheets type of white musk lightly tinted with a fresh, apple scented shampoo. I know my review sounds like I was uttery disappointed and I think it’s bad but it’s actually not. I like it, but the listed is a total joke.
Maybe I just sprayed the wrong fragrance in the store, but as far as I can remember; it’s the red musk. I better check it out again if I ever get into the body shop store sometime and I’ll update my review.

Love the fragrance on itself. Amassing cinnamon smell, therefore I`ve been wearing it a lot this winter around Christmas. The longevity is not great for the price (it is completely gone after 3 hours), that is why I would not re buy it unless it is on some great sale (like the one I`ve got it on the first place – 8 euros for 60 ml).

This does remind me of a very fresh sort of Spicebomb, not diluted but a bit calmer and far more wearable than the Viktor&Ralph&Ben&Tobby scent. It also reminf Lavin AvantGuard and to a certain extent to LNDL’H … On me it does last over 8 hours. Sorry …

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance but won’t buy it again until The Body Shop either lowers the pricing on their fragrances or they formulate them to have more sillage.
I love this fragrance because it reminds me of sitting in a smoky lounge listening to some great jazz music. If red had a smell it would smell like this fragrance and once it tones down from the “red” and cinnamon top notes, it settles into a close to the skin leather and musky tobacco scent.
Their fragrances do not have any sillage to them so you will smell it for the first hour or 2 and then it’s gone like a poof of smoke. For almost 30 bucks a bottle, there are many other fragrances out there that will last for you to enjoy most of the day.

A warm, cozy December evening with someone you’ve recently began dating. You’re buzzed on mulled wine or sipping a hot toddy in a fuzzy sweater. This scent is romantic. It’s an ice skating date or Christmas shopping at the mall date with your BFF. Peppery spice with subtle fruit and musk. This is a winter crush, a December romance. This fragrance defines cuffing season.

Quite a sexy, warm scent. This one smells different, the cinnamon makes it unique. It’s a shame this doesn’t last at all.

It smells like a coniferous forest on a hot summer day, cozy and relaxing, perfect for colder weather, when I want something that reminds me of warmth and sun. I got myself an EDT (couldn’t get any EDP). Unlike other reviewers, I find it decently lasting – I can still smell it in the end of a working day, so I consider it sufficient for an EDT. It seems expensive at first, but the bottle is large, so it should last me for a while.

Beautiful, but doesn’t last long on my skin. Just got the Eau de toilette today, another blind buy after reading reviews here and I’m very happy with it, sweet, warm and comforting, everything I love in a perfume, just no sillage or longevity. Its a warm humid day again here in the UK and it works well in this weather, very heady and seductive. The body Shop have amazing offers on at the moment so I’ve ordered the oil and body mist too, maybe layering it will make it last longer, if not I’ll just reapply often, it’s worth it 🙂
Update: Well I bought the body mist and the perfume oil but it really doesn’t make any difference layering it, it’s quite a weak fragrance and I’m a bit annoyed about it. It’s a beautiful perfume, why don’t the body shop make it a bit stronger and longer lasting, I’m feeling a bit disheartened now 🙁
Update 7/9/17 well apparently this is now discontinued!!! 🙁

I really don’t think it smells like Spicebomb. At least not to my nose. And I don’t smell tobacco. What I DO smell is kind of like very spicy floral with deep base. Something about it reminded me of 80s fragrance, with modern twist.
I wanted a heavier spicier scent to “cleanse my palate” from all the gourmand fragrances I usually wear. This would have been perfect if it was not for poor lasting power. Salesgirls in Body Shop told me it was heavy long lasting scent. Not on me, it aren’t. I don’t know if that’s my body chemistry but it laid very close to the skin and was much lighter smelling that it was in the bottle which quite frankly was a disappointment. Because I really do like this a lot. Also, EDP in this is almost 50 bucks which is not that cheap for scent of this caliber. It lasted about 2 hours on my skin.
Still pondering whether its worth the money even though I like the scent. And I see a reviewer below me had similar experience with lasting power. TBS fragrances NEVER lasted on me

Very nice spicy-sweet tobacco musk, warm and comforting. This is one of those cozy blanket scents. the silage is pretty low but if the longevity is better I would purchase a FB, so we will see but it seems like the general opinion is that this doesn’t last very long. I am curious if the oil version holds up better then the EDP.
Update: so even though the silage is pretty low this has lasted on my skin for a good 8 hours. I will definitly be picking up a FB. A warning to future buyers: I purchased the much more expensive EDP version and it really doesn’t last any longer or project any better then the oil or EDT.

  19. :

Wow, this really is a much weaker version of Spicebomb. I bought the LOTION, and I’m glad it was on sale because it’s so weak! It’s a great skin scent, but not much more. I think the only others who’ll smell it are the ones you let in your personal space, ha. I believe this is unisex.

It was one of the first fragnances I ever owned and right now, as I look back, I believe this one hooked me on fragnances overall. I went through the first 50 ml bottle crazy fast becouse I couldn’t have enough of it. Right now I have repurchased it multiple times and I own maching shower products and lotions. So as you can probably tell I definately love this one, but:
    – Longevity is really poor, at least on me. I can’t feel any sillage at all, but sometimes I get comments that I smell “like something intresting”, so maybe it’s just me.
    – Even though I love the scent somehow the top note irritates me – not the note itself, but some kind of chemical, not so natural spice to it.
I think that the best thing about it is it’s simplicity – just warm, comforting, not too much in your face.
I consider it the best day time fragnance for me.
Definately recommend if you can’t stand flowery and girly scents and don’t want to go with too obvious sillage.

  21. :

I really love this smell and I find this scent unisex but more on the feminine side while I find white musk more masculine. The tobacco is not that strong and goes well with the musk. I wish that the longevity was better though. The sillage is good/moderate. Very lovely, 8/10.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

really nice for the first 5 minutes, dies down a lot after and all you’re left with is this very perfumey, lightly fruity musk that smells exactly how the body shop does when you just walk in. barely projects, gone before 3 hours. the opening kind of saves it from being a dislike, its a really nice spin on spicebomb type scents but without a sickly sweet accord ruining it, just a shame it dies down so quickly.

am i the only one who think that this one is really similar to white musk? i bought and used white musk before but that perfume just didn’t agree with my chemistry and just didnt smell like anything when i wore it (when i detect a really feminine, flowery smell on other people).
but when i wear this one (i use the edt one), i finally got the compliments and is noticed by people. finally, i found a body shop fragrance that agree with me.

I have the EdT and Perfume Oil. Both are different formulations.
Funnily, I get very little musk from this. The oil was my introduction to it, and from it I get a hefty dose of cinnamon, though not nose-tickling. There is also certainly tobacco, though not a trace of ashiness about. Like Spicebomb, its tobacco is smooth and warm, with a slightly herbal aspect.
I was surprised that dried fruit, especially apricot, wasn’t in the notes, because the oil is jammy in the midphase and drydown. It’s not cloying at all and actually very refreshing- I even wore this in summer! It’s a versatile scent that could be worn any time of the year.
The EdT amps up the peppery notes in the beginning and stays drier with more tobacco. It is a bit thinner than the oil and not as rich.
It’s woody and gives the overall impression of fire and smoke without actually smelling like them. I quite like it, and it’s definitely in my top 10. It is definitely a unisex scent, bearing more than a passing resemblance (but being in my opinion better) than Spicebomb.
In colder weather, it stays closer to the skin but is still detectable. It blooms with warmth. Longevity on its own is in the area of 4-6 hours, but I layer this with a homemade Molecule 01 (20% Iso E Super in 80% alcohol) and can get upwards of 12 hours out of the two combined. The cedar of the Iso E goes beautifully with Red Musk.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

Like a warm sweater on a cool night, Red Musk is not as sexy and complex at it is marketed to be. Sweet cinnamon with a hint of cola, there are absolutely no detectable floral notes on this one. Sillage is low to moderate, but the lasting power is a good 6-9 hours.

  27. :

The fragrance is soft yet quite intruiging. It’s an okay fragrance that can pass as unisex. You can smell the pepper but the cinnamon is not overly present. Just tested this fragrance, I did not like it enough to buy it.

    Amber, Cinnamon & Musk…
A very nice fragrance. Great to see The Body Shop doing an oriental! I like the cinnamon & musk here (which are the main players). There seems to be also an ambery-coumarin-tonka edge to this which is nice as well.
Note: I am reviewing the eau de toilette version here, so it’s very light. In fact, I would prefer this is eau de parfum so I would say that if you get the chance then get it in that concentration. Overall it’s a well priced oriental that smells more expensive than it is. I also think it’s a great choice for summer and warmer weather as it’s light and very pleasing (without being overwhelming). Really nice stuff from The Body Shop, just don’t expect this to be the next Opium.

Oh, I finally got this fantastic scent! I initially wanted, of course, EDP, buuuuut since the Body Shop made a really great deal for EDT and body mist during it’s sale, I got them. Got to say, so far I’m happy with it 🙂 The scent is lovely just as I recalled.

This is one of the first perfumes I bought for myself and wore regularly. I love it during the fall and winter holidays. The one drawback is that I find it distinctive enough that I am not always comfortable wearing too much of it in some situations. Like at the office, for instance. I wish I could find a perfume that captures the same spicy notes while being offset by something else…but not something too floral or sweet.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

When this 1st launch, they have 100ml Edp, 100ml Edt, 30ml perfume oil concentration.
But now this year, no more 100ml Edp only 50ml produced same goes with the Edt and for perfume oil they just newly produced new 20ml sizes. But luckily they do still have the 30ml though which is still a good news for me cause i prefer the body oil and planned to stock up this unique gem.
As you all know the body shop is quiet well known discontinuing their precious perfumes. I dont know but i think its the sign they probably considering discontinuing this too. I hope not coz it’ll be like nightmare for the perfumista like me whi adore this scent.
This is actually really last long and have decent sillage specially the perfume oil. For the perfume oil you can use it alone without layering it with the body lotion or the shower gel.
Tips ? I love the perfume oil and i normally apply 6 drops rules for this perfume oil. 6 drops at the back of my knees fold each left and right, 6 drops on my lower back spine area, 6 drops on my neck bone at the back of my neck, 6 drops on the chest,6 drops on the heart area, 6 drops at the back of my ear left and right each rub it all the to your frontal neck.
That shall do the trick last 6 to 8 hours and on me. Decent longevity and sillage. The perfume oil react so good with your body heat and sweat isnt a problem. Coz trust me your sweat smell sexy with this.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

I have the edt, body wash and body lotion. I thought a great combo to help ensure longevity and projection but sadly this was not the case and I found myself using it just for bedtime wear.
That is until today. It’s been hot and humid in the UK the past few days and I thought why not give it a go in the heat to see how it reacts. The result? lush! Just a spritz in all the usual places and my body heat is causing it to project in the way I wanted when I got it. I’m one happy bunny.
I don’t really get tobacco but having never worn a scent containing tobacco, maybe I am smelling it without my knowledge. To me it us pure musk and cinnamon which correlate to please my senses immensely.
Wales is expecting a rare, long hot summer and I fully intend to wear this warm beauty to maximum effect.
I may by the oil to make the bottle last longer, although I’m not sure it is required to be fair.

The first top note (smell) reminds me of un jardin après la mousson from Hermes…
    What do you guys think??

  34. :

    3 out of 5

A spicy musk fragrance. It’s unusual to make musk a star in an oriental fragrance. Great combination that still feels familiar. Smells red hot because of the spices, with that salty musky heart. Unisex in a traditional sense.

I had a sample of this when it first launched and I really enjoyed it. I’ve been waiting and waiting for The Body Shop to put it on some kind of sale (because they always have sales and I feel silly paying full price for anything), but in my country it was marked as “new release” for two straight years. I eventually gave up and bought a bottle. A month after that it went on sale.
Well, that irrelevant story aside, I was thrilled to finally have it, but I got bored of it in less than a month. Originally it smelled very complicated and spicy/smokey to me, but then all of a sudden all I was getting was sweetness (SO MUCH sweetness) and cinnamon. I took a break from smelling it for a few months and when I tried it again, it did smell better (I must be turning anosmic to it very quickly).
I never got any musk in it to begin with. If it’s even there, it must be overtaken by spices.
Another irrelevant piece of information. The sprayer on mine is faulty. It fails to let air in the bottle, so after a few sprays it gets stuck and I have to turn the bottle upside down and let it “inhale” some air for it to work again. I would take it back to TBS, but the girl at the counter didn’t give me receipt and I was stupid not to go back and ask for it. I tried switching the nozzle caps with another TBS perfume and that didn’t help. The problem seems to be in the valve. Irrelevant, but pisses me off all the same.

  36. :

I have used this for 6 months now. Although it is listed as more for females the scent can still be worn by a male. I have tried TBS White Musk since my mum is very fond of it and bought it for me back then, so I decided to try this offering from TBS.
I feel that this scent smelt way better and sweeter, and has better projection and longevity when I put it on my clothes (at inconspicuous areas like neck lining, and on darker coloured clothing). On my skin the musk smell comes pretty quickly. Since i leave in a warm country, projection is not an issue but my perspiration will “wash away” the perfume. So putting it on my shirt will make it feel the heat of my skin but won’t be “washed away” and evaporate so easily.
Lastly, I like how cozy this scent makes me feel especially in an air-conditioned room. More for evening use indoors I feel.

  37. :

I like the smell at first, but when I bought it (60ml), I noticed the smell is not for me. Doesn’t suit me, too bad. Silage is lacking, though.

Pleasant but lacks silage and disappears after an hour. I was really disappointed by this.

Actually employees at the store let people know it is unisex (or at least at my local TBS)… I’m in Guadalajara, Mexico.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

This is sultry perfume and both my brother and I love it, and I think the EDT is inexpensive, although it doesn’t last long… Probably with scented oil it would last several hours 🙂 (make sure to ask for a sample at the store)

  41. :

    4 out of 5

Sexy! Very, very sexy. I love it.
When I got it, I wasn’t very well-versed on fragrances so I actually wore it during the day (bad idea, it’s definitely more night-time appropriate).
The scent itself is really nice. It’s hot, spicy, dark. The notes are a little deceiving; it smells like a lot more than just 4 notes.
The musk is nice because it takes off the ‘hot’ edge a bit and makes it slightly refreshing. I can’t wear the regular white musk because I know someone who wears it so I associate it with that person…so it’s nice to have that musk in a new, very different fragrance from TBS.
The bottle is also really cool, and that black to orange ombre is a perfect representation of how it actually smells. A hot, dark, fiery sunset. Nice.

  42. :

the shower gel & body lotion of this scent are lovely and will marry with a variety or woody, musky scents.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

Very nice spicy musk scent – I have the 30ml. oil.
Opens with some menthol, then develops into a warm musky skin scent: peppery, somewhat smokey with a beautiful touch of cinnamon. Warm, rounded, cuddly with a kick.
Red Musk certainly has a character, without being in your face offensive. Definitely suitable for fall & winter, but I can also imagine wearing this on steamy summer days.
When I tried it in store I immediately loved it and took it home.
Sadly for me this turned out to be a ‘like’ rather than love, because it seems to disappear on me? Maybe I’m partly anosmic, but after 2 or 3 hours there’s hardly any trace left. Even right after application, it seems mostly a skin scent on me.
For a bold-ish spicy scent like this, I prefer a bit more sillage and longevity. Perhaps I’ll buy the lotion + edt / edp for layering, to get a bit more life out of this beauty.

  44. :

Holy Smoke and I mean holy as in temples, shrines, mosques, churches…..and smoke as in incense. This is not a Jovan/white musk type of musk…which I like and used to consider mysterious till I put on Red Musk. I bought a gift set for myself with lotion, body wash, edt, and oil. I shamelessly layer it all. It is hard to explain so I will tell you what it is not: it is not soap, it is not flowers….and yet, it is not shrieking loud. Most prominent in Red Musk is that it does not have any retro vibe…but it is what those retro musks descriptions should be. So I will have my own sexual revolution now in 2015. And this revolution is not about overt raw sex….it is something more spiritual….

This was a homerun: sexy, gorgeous and perfect for winter.
I don`t think it`s especially masculine, but a good unisex scent. It smells a bit like sweet rolling tobacco. Extremely addictive! I am pleased with both longevity and sillage, but it is not a beast in any way.
A magnificent scent that won`t kill your wallet. I love it! <3

Does anyone agree when I say it has some sandalwood note?

  47. :

    5 out of 5

This perfume is perfect for the ones that enjoy musk- and lightly masculine notes. It is a very well-composed perfume, definitely one of my favourite musk-perfumes. I don’t know how long it lasts but I would guess that it lasts very long, partially because of its strong character.
A lot of people have told me that this fragrance smells too masculine and that it fits better on men. Personally I think it works good on women, it’s slightly masculine but more like a women’s fragrance heading towards a unisex fragrance. Yet I think men could wear this without anyone noticing that this, originally, is a women’s perfume.
I’ve tried the lotion too but it smelled horrible on my skin. Hopefully the same thing won’t happen with the EDP, otherwise it’s better to try to hinder the perfume to touch the skin.
Overall, right now, I love this perfume and recommend everyone who likes masculine and musk notes to try this one!

  48. :

When I saw this beautiful bottle in the store, I just had to give it a try. I was sceptical at first, because musk does not agree with skin’s chemistry+ the fact it is unisex, made me think it would not be feminine enough.
So wrong…yes, the first spritz does come out somewhat “masculine” The tobacco/musk is somewhat strong, but that part did not last too long on my skin.
    Then comes the CINNAMON….
It is the cinnamon that breaks this perfume into a beautiful soft scent Not powdery but just right: sweet, warm and actually quite seductive, I think. It is not overpowering and can be used daytime, however I’d most likely wear this perfume during the evening/night. So glad I gave this perfume a try!

    I agree with @scarlett.angel
The perfume oil is great to be use for therapeutic massage oil too. Normally after shower, I’ll just wipe dry my body and starts applying the red musk body lotion. Chest, neck & pulse points, the lotion really absorb well & fast on the skin plus no sticky feel to it. Then I put 3-4 drops of this Red Musk perfume oil and start rubbing it.
it’s a good combination the body lotion & the perfume oil. Really recommend this method. It stays with me whole day. Sweat ? No probs, the scent really mix well with my body sweat kind of like cinnamon sweat smelling. Which is sexy in a clean way.
Already have 3 bottles for back up. Need another 7 more. This precious perfume oil won’t be available for long. Just like the Vanilla Perfume oil fate, discontinued.

Absolutely gorgeous. I adore this perfume oil! The scent is sensuous and cozy. The opening is a tiny bit camphorous, but I love the cinnamon here, it’s a sexy oriental cinnamon, warm and spicy-sweet, not a foody cinnamon. I also detect something like a dried-fruit note. Combined with alot of smooth musk, dry wood, and a very mild tobacco note.
Some here are saying Red Musk smells masculine or unisex, but I personally find this scent to be very feminine in a lush, exotic, intimate sense, like something I would imagine a beautiful belly-dancer’s skin to smell like. I only wish that there was an actual perfume that smells like the perfume oil does. Something with an actual sillage trail and of a better quality, because this stuff smells precious, but even in oil form it only lasts around 6 hours with soft sillage.
This is the perfect everyday scent for fall, it certainly captures the mood. I’m single at the moment, but smelling this stuff on myself makes me long for romantic cuddles by a fireplace with a special someone…I would wear this stuff for that, maybe with a couple spritzes of JPG’s Classique edt for abit more oomph. I would love to try the edp and edt soon.

This review is for the Red Musk Perfume Oil.
I have and love TBS Smoky Poppy EDT, which was only available in my country for a very limited time as part of a Valentine’s Day gift set. I tested the Red Musk EDT in store vaguely; and remember it being quite different to this Perfume Oil. I find that the Perfume Oil is much lighter in comparison. On my skin; it’s almost just a skin scent with little projection; unlike EDT or EDP versions.
I mostly detect cinnamon, and musk, with a hint of tobacco. There is a soapy sweetness quality to it. The Perfume Oil is not overwhelmingly spicy like other oriental scents, making it ideal to wear in warmer weather too. It’s actually great as I have enough strong and spicy scents for winter. It also makes a good oil ‘base’ for other fragrances which may be lacking a little spice, longevity or depth.
I really enjoy the applicator that comes with it; dispenses just the right amount of oil onto your wrists (or preferred area), and I find something a bit therapeutic about massaging it in. It certainly creates a ‘warm sensation’ on skin. I think this would make a great body/massage oil too, just like the Smoky Poppy one which sadly got discontinued before I even got a chance to try it.
Overall, I’m very glad to have this in my collection. It’s something I probably wouldn’t buy for myself, yet I’ve found it very useful, especially when comes to layering with other fragrances. A big thank you to Ellina for gifting me this bottle! 🙂
Tip: The tobacco note goes really well layered under Black XS for Her!

I walked into a Body shop looking for a body scrub.
Ended up buying Red Musk EDP…Shower Gel..and the parfum oil. In reading the word ‘musk”…I never would expect to even TRY a scent like this…I am not a fan of POWDERY…at all !! But this RED MUSK is awesomeness in a bottle.
I will be ordering the largest bottle they have as a back-up…as well as back-up’s of the oil and shower gel.Due to the fact it will probably be not available for long…sigh…I heard it is limited edition.
What a surprise this one turned out to be…Musk…woods…tobacco…a little sweetness…YUM !!
I do not see the Spicebomb comparisons that are being made.
Who cares??? It just smells damn good !!!
There is also a Red Musk Oud edition out….but NOT available in the USA….(damn them !!) Hopefully…someone will sell some on Ebay soon !!!
I give ths scent a big 4 stars out of 5.

Perfume smells wonderful. I actually don’t like the original White Musk – it too typical and too many people wore it. But its different with Red Musk. On paper strip, it smell quite strong and bold. But when I sprayed it on my skin, the drydown is soft, seducing and alluring. I just love how the perfume react with my skin. Silage is very close to skin, longevity is ok for EDT. I might buy it someday.

No one really likes red musk in my country, I guess it’s quite heavy for most asian of my age, but I love it anyway.
I don’t know if it’s unisex type of scent, maybe. For me it fits me just fine, feminine, seductive, warm, recognizable and even a bit mysterious, it will help you stand out from the crowd. It’s not overpowering but lasts 6 to 8 hours in my case.
It’s definitely a unique, distinctive perfume that I will never regret buying.

I sampled Red Musk the other day and was a bit disappointed. It’s not a bad fragrance (quite likable) but it didn’t remind me of Spicebomb nor was it as dark as I had expected. To me, Red Musk smells a lot like White Musk with a touch of cinnamon and perhaps a bit more woodsy. I love White Musk as an out-of-the-shower/evening-at-home fragrance, but this one m
