This is a sharp, green, woody rose. A little ambered (opoponax) and although plum is listed I get raspberry. A few raspberry fragrances I have smelled have that sharp and woody finish…it has a real old school chypre feeling. Thumbs up, even though I am a sucker for most rosey things…

I found it be cloying and not particularly pleasing at all. After 5 minutes I get a real punch of leather in my face. Judging by the name, was hoping to smell something delicate, feminine and exquisite. It’s a scrubber for me.

This is pretty intense jammy rose. Opens with a bright fresh floral blast – then the fruit comes out rapidly – it goes through a very sweet jam stage….and then the patch blooms – the really nice menthol/camphor patch that I love. It then settles to a beautiful full rose.
I dont have many rose fragrances (any?) as I’ve never reached for it as a dominant note – though I am starting to appreciate it more. This would be a worth addition to any rose collection I think.
Agree with others that it has a vintage quality to it.

This is rose at max, and it’s kind of an Arabian fragrance with it’s texture. It has that sharp red roses with patchouli & sandalwood. Geranium is there with a mild sweet (i guess it’s the plums) & i can’t sense any musc.
It’s good for Arabian roses kind of fragrance lovers as i get a complements from colleges.

I loved the initial burst of rose in this. Afterward it began to drive me crazy reminding me of something else. I eventually remembered what. Black Phoenix’s ‘Roses Pearls and Diamonds’. They’re by no means identical but the vibe is the same and there is a huge similarity there.
It’s a very nice rose. As I already have something similar I don’t think I would buy it.

OH. MY. GOD. I am utterly beside myself over this fragrance! If you love roses, if you love vintage, RUN, don’t walk to try this!! Raw Silk and Red Roses is the most authentic vintage smelling non-vintage fragrance I have ever tried. It literally smells like you have been put in a time capsule and taken back a few decades. But in the best way possible! It opens with gasp worthy geranium and rose and settles into a musky patchouli with just enough fruit elements to perfect it without burdening it with sweetness. It’s like this perfume was personally created for me. Like my own accidental bespoke.
I am so impressed by this fragrance, the first I have tried by 4160 Tuesdays, that I will be ordering every sample from this house that I can get my hands on.
Love, love, love this so much!

This is definitely one of my favourite rose based fragrances and I have only a few. I think Sarah said this was a classic chypre. This is most certainly all about roses. Sumptuous ones at that. The peach, patch and musk make the perfect complimentary supporters. Musk definitely comes to the fore on the dry down. This is not a heavy dense complicated rose fragrance like say Portrait of a Lady but succeeds in being sparkling and very wearable. Wear this when you want to be your most feminine. Rose is queen. Good sillage and longevity.

This is without question, one of the best rose fragrances I have ever smelled. It’s glamorous, feminine and long lasting. The patchouli gives it a real impact and the hint of peach gives it a beautiful vintage feel. I absolutely love it.
