Completely lacks the opening, piercing green freshness of GIT but has the lovely violet sweetness of the dry down.
Don’t find the projection to be the best but can still smell it on my skin after 6-8 hours.
    Needs to be applied heavily.
    Excellent price value trade off!

you can not get GIT in this price. it gives you the same vibe though. i like it for the smell…..i dont agree with those who think it is a synthetic mess but i agree 100% with those who think the performance on this sucks. you spray 10 times and it go away in minutes. they should introduce oil version of it as well.

Really disappointed with the performance of my new bottle it actually smell good and fresh and very similar to Irish tweed, but 20 sprays for an hours performance is a shocker.

THIS IS MY WORST BLIND BUY EVER…
It smell very cheap and synthetic…the drydown develop to some obnoxious cheap mess

This I find very hard to like, actually I give it a dislike, a bad blind buy.
All that dominates this scent on my skin is probably the Iris root, I get a lipstick vibe but mostly a strong odor similar to many hair perming lotions that can still be smelled in the hair hours later, ammonium thioglycolate?
    ( Vaguely skunk-like smell )
It must be the Iris as I know the other notes well enough and like them but not sure about Iris, perhaps too much Iris?
It is a smell that I would prefer to wash out, is not attractive and verging on dead rodent.
Rodent eats lipstick from a hair stylists handbag then dies, two or three days later the rodent is bottled with alcohol and sold on as perfume…sorry but I tried to get past this and find something I like but no.
This is the worst fragrance I own, I can’t believe people wear it.
    Is my bottle off?
LOL, I decided to try some on a paper strip just in case it was my skin reacting to the fragrance and low and behold it was but still probably due to the Iris, probably chemical ( synthetic ) Iris.
I will look out for this in future to narrow it down if I can.
This is the first negative with my skin after using over eighty different fragrances, I have not detected this from anything else in my arsenal.
I can just barely detect the smallest hint of it on paper now but almost negligible, registering as Iris or part of the Iris chemical makeup.
On a paper strip the smell is ok but still not enough to get a like from me anyway.

    Wow this is soo gorgeous!
I really enjoyed the scent on this one!
Its really a good clone of GIT
Longevity and perfomance 4-5hours on my skin!
    Soo beautiful!
    Overall 10/10

No performance issues for me, not sure about projection but lingers around for a good few hours.
This is silky smooth scent…as I wrote below as a guest shouts high quality.
    UPDATE 27/01/18:
still the most wonderful bargain in my collection. Performance is moderate but Id say the same about a lot of scents including creeds.
    UPDATE 29/01/18
few sprays on the back of my hand 6 hours ago and still there although may not be projecting much. If a bottle is 14 US dollars (say 10 pounds UK) and there are 1400 sprays in a 100ml bottle then its like 1 US cent(1 penny UK) a shot.

I recently revisited this as I’m already planning my Spring/Summer rotation and thought it would be a good every day alternative to my GIT/Chez Bond.
This really has changed a lot since I first used it a few months ago, when I thought of it as a GIT/Chez Bond splicing.
As for the smell, I’d now say this is purely a GIT clone, as I get virtually none of the Chez Bond vibe I used to get on first wearing it.
I must confess that I used to be a bit of a flag bearer for this underrated frag but I now have a major issue with it, namely performance, or lack of it.
As @imrannaseem says below, this has shocking longevity.
I did virtually the same thing, 12 sprays total with 3 to both sides of my neck and the back of each wrist, within 2 hours it hd faded to a skin scent. BUT to be fair, the projection was pretty good during that initial 2 hour period AND it is the closest clone to post 2012 batches of GIT that i’ve come across.
And, yes, that does includes CW, Aspen, Tres Nuit, Estiara Stag Black and Egra, all of which I own or have owned at least decants of.
I won’t go into how this smells, as we are all familiar with GIT, suffice to say this really is as close as you can get without it being GIT. The only difference is the strength of smell throughout the shortlived lifespan. Its GIT but fainter, same scent but just diluted or watered down. Like GIT light or Eau Fraiche.
Carry a decant/atomiser and you’ll be OK but be warned 2-3 hours max is all you get with this one.

Nice scent but very poor longevity and projection. Sprayed generously (12+ sprays) but it goes away in an hour or so…..yes it is cheap but I can’t keep the bottle in my pocket to spray after every couple of hours…A BIG MISS!!

This is wonderful juice, my review can pretty much end there.
It’s as powdery as Tres Nuit and very far removed from CW, another Chez Bond/GIT splicing.
Delightful frag and at £10 a bottle, you can’t go wrong.
Two thumbs way up from me on this one!!

Though this starts FAR more subtle than Green Irish Tweed, and their openings don’t have much in common, the fragrances become more and more alike as time goes on.
Let me say, usually, I’m not a fan of clones. I feel like I’m missing the experience of a full, quality scent with its presentation and safe in the trust of the established house.
However, Raghba for Man made me change my mind on that. The opening is not harsh or strong at all, not very similar to GIT. However, after only about 15-30 minutes of GIT drying down, these two become INCREDIBLY close. I’ve owned GIT for many years and it’s one of my favourites. But, with this being 10x cheaper, I don’t see why I would always buy this instead of GIT. Well trained noses will barely be able to tell the difference between the two. Even the sandalwood-ambroxan dry-down is the same.
    Very impressive fragrance, amazing price.
The heart is exactly the same, the base notes are exactly the same. Usually, there is a difference in “density” and “complexity” between a clone and its original counterpart. Not here.
Longevity and sillage are the exact same as GIT for me, which unfortunately isn’t too good. The scent more than makes up for this, though.
If you’re looking for an alternative to GIT, get this.

I got this as a blind buy because a friend had told me it was “woody and leathery”.
Last time I ever take their advice.
Come to think of it they’re going to be DMZ’ed from now on and persona non grata for convincing me to buy this stuff which is clearly a quality product but unfortunately it reminds me of a frag I dislike intensely and I feel like I was conned and deceived. Boo!
Although I have been collecting (real, authentic, aquilaria) ouds for more than a decade now and by extension acquired a fondness for traditional Arabian perfumery, Raghba for Men is like some kind of weird hybrid fusion mimicking contemporary Franco-Italian style perfumery.
This stuff reeks like Creed’s sickly and overpowering Green Irish Tweed (of which I have a gigantic bottle that I can’t even give away because nobody I know likes it) which I liked for about five minutes when I was first intrigued by the novelty of the composition.
Since then I only ever apply the tiniest quantities because otherwise it makes me want to vomit, plus I find it to be the least sophisticated, least attractive and most overwhelming of the entire oeuvre of the House of Creed.
Nowadays I cannot stand GIT and absolutely detest the stuff. The most noxious concoction ever inflicted on society by a reputable and pedigreed house.
Apologies for the rant. Like most of us my tastes and fondnesses evolve, change and develop over time so I may well change my view entirely at some time in the future, but the immediate association with GIT has utterly ruined Raghba for Men for me.
These days the ONLY time I wear GIT is to occasions hosted by people I dislike or who irritate me intensely. Or if I’m trying to establish firm friend-zone boundaries with someone who appears to be a bunny boiler or a stalker.
Because it is such a singlularly un-sexy, un-romantic scent – it’s like insecticide for weirdos or a virtual cold shower for the unwelcome admirer, which screams “I’m into gardening and celibacy so keep your distance”
Not sure if there’s Lavender in Raghba for Men but that’s another of my pet hates.
Lavender is an intensely powerful phyto oestrogen so powerful that exposure to Lavender essential oil can make prepubescent boys grow breasts. Google it if you don’t believe me.
Ever since childhood Lavender reminds me of extremely old ladies with blue hair and I find it extremely unattractive – personally, I don’t think it has any place at all in male perfumery. Unless you’re into growing your own man boobs. Real ones.
Apologies for the rant but I needed to vent my disappointment and outrage at the utter lack of anything resembling “woody” or “leather” notes in this.
Sure it’s a quality product and if you’re a fan of GIT you’ll probably love it, but for me it’s unattractive, un-sexy, un-pleasant and girly – in other words a scrubber and I intend to gift my bottle to someone I dislike intensely so I’ll be able to smell them coming.
Not sure why or how anyone could think this stuff smells anything like Original Santal of which I’m reasonably fond, because it smells absolutely nothing like it. Unless there have been different versions of Raghba for Men.
Longevity isn’t something I paid any attention to since I tried desperately to remove the stench, and like GIT it sure doesn’t get any compliments either.
So this is definitely not a safe blind buy and don’t take anyone else’s recommendation for this unless you’re infatuated with Green Irish Tweed because the similarity is apparent.
The foregoing is merely my own humble opinion – and PLEASE bear in mind that all reviews are subjective.

That is Creed GIT smell alike but you will need 10+ sprays to make it noticable but for £10 for 100ml on ebay thats probobly ok..smell is very simillar, not as green opening as GIT about 90% simillar not to be spoted by untrain nose..will last 5h on me but as I said you will need more then few initial sprays as its not as strong as GIT, works for me for every day use..saving GIT for special occasions.

Absolutely superb value . Beautifully fresh & green ,& I get a sauvage / montblanc legend spirit – ambroxan & orange notes . Longevity & silage great too.
This layers beautifully with vintage grey flannel !

Raghba man is much nicer than GIT, it doesn’t have that annoying grass smell. Much closer to Chez Bond than GIT

As for the down-voting: a lot of pedants out there…

Raghba For Men (RFM) is an outstanding men’s fragrance that is similar to Creed Green Irish Tweed (GIT)…not identical, but a very similar vibe and, in my opinion, the best GIT clone on the market – and for a great price too. GIT has a richer lemon verbena note and that luxurious ambergris accord. They’re both present in RFM, but they are not as prominent. Raghba has more of a fresh lemon-aromatic feel and there may be some who enjoy this one more if they feel the verbena-ambergris in GIT can be little cloying.
I do get the sandalwood note but not cedar, which must be masked deeply behind everything else. Another difference is there is leather in Raghba and not GIT. I can sense there being a leathery tone in the drydown, but it’s not prominent and you’ll have to search for it since, as with GIT, the experience is mainly about the lemon verbena, violet leaf and sandalwood with the iris giving it a slight powdery accord. Also, the iris is not quite as prominent as it is with GIT. To be honest, I don’t notice much of a powdery accord in either fragrance because, to me, it is masked by that rich citrus/lemon verbena. However, GIT just feels richer (richer/deeper lemon verbena and iris) than Raghba for man, and also a bit more refined.
Regardless, Raghba for Man is a beautiful fragrance that is well-done; for the bargain price of $30 it provides the a very realistic Green Irish Tweed experience (80%+) for a fraction of the price. Longevity and projection are not as good on my skin as they are with GIT (moderate to above average) but they are both solid; it lasts 7-8 hours on my skin and projects moderately. Much like Afnan Supremacy silver (ASS) is the most realist Aventus Clone, RFM is the best GIT clone I have tried.
Finally, I am not sure why some GIT fanboys (who have never even sniffed Raghba for Men, no doubt) are voting down that it smells similar to GIT. It does! Just look at the notes and smell the fragrance! I have 19 Creed fragrances and these kinds of shenanigans are usually reserved for some other popular fragrances.

This reminds me of Volcano for Men by Lomani. Nice enough smell bearing in mind I only paid £15 for 100 ml, but very Middle Eastern. Heavy in its aura, and you could be forgiven for thinking you are in one of those Arab areas of London or a Pakistani/ Middle Eastern Restaurant. The quality of the bottle is fantastic heavy solid probably the contents are just coincidental. It came sealed in cellophane which can only be described as amature, yet the box had a hologram on it! Would I buy it again? An emphatic NO! the Lomani one which I think is no longer available cost me £5.

Blind bought this off the back of good recommendations and an interest in eastern fragrance. Had a chance to fully test it out today.
I understand the likeness to GIT, but to my nose, this smells alot sweeter. Really nice scent but you need a good few sprays to get the required amount I think. I sprayed a good 10+ times. That said, it is quite weak, but has a pretty good staying power. Lasted for around 8 hours for me but very quickly became a very close scent.
It is a good every day scent as it can be used as much as you want as the price is pretty low. I got mine off ebay for £15 (100ml).
    Longevity – 7/10
    Sillage – 5/10
    Scent – 8/10
    Overall – 6.5/10

Fantastic. Yes,it does smell very much like Creed Green Irish Tweed but different notes are excentuated fuller and sharper in GIT. I actually prefer the Raghba, more exotic, sensual and imported with a real strong top note opening. Same quality and better falcon. Better price and better scent. Mind boggling how people get hung up on department store trendy colognes at such ridiculous prices when fragrances like this kick ass.

Somewhere in between Cool Water and GIT. Better than the former, not as good as the latter. My opinion, anyway. Bottle is heavy and feels “expensive.” Cap is cool. Nothing like Original Santal. That’s about it.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

I didn’t wear original santal for over 3 years but what i can recall it was sweet nothing to relate with raghba in any way , cool water .. hmmm may be after the first 5 minutes after the harsh citrus notes are fading of cool water it may come close to raghba but definitely by 30 minutes both start to take a completely different course, cool water gives you the aquatic cold breeze with a glimpse of green grass with a musky base behind totally synthetic but in a cool way … raghba is not aquatic by any means its all green with a woody and a glimpse of leather in the back ground .. citrusy but in a diffrent way its not lemon its the green lemon leaves(and may be bay laurel leaves) , iris beautifully blended… reminds me of the wide fields of lemon trees separated by iris and bay laurel trees along their borders with a slight cold breeze at an early morning in october … i love this fragrance .. satisfactory longevity and projection … i find it quite versitile for any occasion .. every day wear ..worth to be a signature scent for a confident well dressed gentleman..

I’ve never tried this but how could this be siilar to Santal. those are all GIT notes minus the cedar

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I totally agree with Senzadite. I have both Original Santal and Raghba and I did several blind test with my friends and none of them can tell the difference. Apparently Original Santal is stronger but in term of ppm, Raghba is equal or even better than the expensive version.
By the way, I found that Yardley Navy is also similar to these 2. It’s much cheaper than even Raghba.
    85/100

  26. :

    3 out of 5

A great unexpensive version of original santal…and i would say even better, strong and sweet with NO incense and NO oud…sandalwood and lavander are quite obvious. Very masculine and versatile. My cap is quite different and it leaks a little bit, but still i like it a lot.
    90/100
