Exquisite, uplifting, mysterious, dark, powdery…works well on my skin layered over “Quelques Fleurs L’Original”. ‘Sets’ it as powder sets makeup / foundation. I try to review fragrances on how they make me feel…so romantic rather than analytical. This one is endless purple gauze…or a kind of milky violet river flowing forever far out of sight.

Quelques Violettes is a very ladylike fragrance with a hint of sensuality after it dries down within 2-3 hours. Violet is absolutely the first thing I smell upon first application; fresh, innocent with just a whisper of sweetness. I love the original Quelques Fleurs and sometimes I like to use a drop or two along with Violettes; sensualizes it a bit more for a date night. I loathe sickly sweet and/or overly-fruity scents. I don’t find that here at all. An excellent scent for the workplace, church or to enjoy just for yourself. It is very soft. No one has followed me down the street asking about it but I have only been wearing it for a few days. I am so pleased with it; I love flower scents and it is rare to find a perfume that captures the essence of a particular flower so beautifully. The only other one I can think of is the absolutely enchanting scent of jasmine in LUSH’s Lust perfume. I never liked jasmine scents before I found it. I have digressed. The market is not exactly flooded with violet perfumes so I am glad to have discovered that this one is true.

I found this fragrance several years ago at Nordstrom and have never again been able to find it! It is amazingly feminine. So glad to have found it here!
