I am totally into powdery fragrances; Chloe Love and Tom Ford White Suede being my favorites. I also have L’heure Bleue, Oscar de la Renta Esprit d’Oscar, Guerlain L’instant Magic and I wear them from time to time.
After reading the positive reviews, I ordered Puro Talco from Officine Delle Essenze’s website. It has arrived in 3 days in perfect condition (I live in California). I must admit I really appreciate their customer service.
Unfortunately, it was a total disappointment for me. I really had high hopes for this blind buy to have another perfect powdery fragrance for my collection.
It is warm, clean and sweet as Hadassa mentioned but it is too much vanilla for my taste and it is not fresh at all. Longevity and sillage are above moderate and dry down is almost feeling oily (so hard to explain that smell). I’m not sure if it’s the combination of ylang ylang and vanilla.
Recommended for vanilla-powder fans.

I am in the US and I want this! I can’t find it anywhere. I even went to a very well known niche house in my area and asked if they could track it down for me and they couldn’t get it for me either (without ordering overseas which would cost me insanely)
Do any US residents know where I can get this? Inbox me please!

after going through some total powder-scent misses like the famous “Teint de Neige”, which had quite an unwashed and almost urine note on me, I came across “Puro Talco”
And what can I say, a dream! It’s the perfect powdery scent for me. Why? Because it does especially NOT smell like Babypowder, but like an elegant adult woman powder, with an underlying very adult, sensual note (which my husband also noted immediately and put into words I will not utter here 😉
The scent itself is so perfectly rounded, and I can’t get enough sniffing my wrists when I wear it.
The perfect poweder scent, hard to top for my taste. And er, no, this is NOT a unisex scent, no way. I’d be utterly irritated if a guy would smell like this Oo 100% feminine.

woah! This was not what I was expecting! Goes on like a cool foamy and thick soapy powdery talc scent, but shortly after, a subtle yet almost skunky, sharp bitterness emerges underneath all the fluff and foam and reminds me of… you guessed it. SEMEN. Well more like a cross between semen and burning electronics.
hahahaha Hey! Don’t be so immature! It’s not MY fault that’s what it smells like.
Thank you to Vie Cafe for the sample that woke me up instantly this morning. Puro Talco. More effective than a triple espresso and a slap on the behind. Now I need to go get it off of me. AND FAST.

Vanillic, warm and sweet iris powder, my only complaint actually equals to a compliment: PURO TALCO is very true to its name, it smells exactly like Borotalco products (cheap but good Italian deodorants and shower gels). I just cannot justify the purchase of a perfume that smells exactly like my deodorant, although it is inexpensive for the quality and the concentration.
I highly recommend it to those powder lovers who never tried Borotalco 🙂

Clean and fresh. Reminds me of a freshly bathed and talced baby. The vanilla stayed with me till the end. Great to use where the weather is extremely hot and humid. This is a lovely day fragrance. I think it’s worth buying.

I tried this fragrance becouse I was very curious and I believed too exagerated all the compliments by few people! It is adelicate and strong perfume all together, long lasting and probably right in winter, it reminds me the Russian ballet’The Nutcracker’ or something nice from my past Christmases. Puro Talco is in the style of Vanille by les Nereides, I agree with Tschiepchen: this is ok if you like vintages or diva’s like frags. On my skin vanilla and iris are very strong.
@@@ thanks you daniela3 @@@

To me Puro Talco smells like a mix of body powder and soap:
That kind of old Hollywood glam body powder of yesteryear’s movie stars (Lana Turner, etc.).
And that so-called beauty soap that is fit for all purposes and can even replace make-up remover.
Ylang-ylang is the most prominent floral note in this composition.
Soft facets of rose and marzipan and cherries (!) suddenly appear out of nothing and tingle my nose time and time again.
The consistency of this fragrance is rather dense – like a powder puff full of powder; airy and “light as a feather” is something that Puro Talco is not.
I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves perfumed body powders and (vintage) beauty soaps and their intense, dense and cosmetic scents.
Puro Talco projets with slightly above average strength (which is fully sufficient) and lasts for ages.
I would not say it is shower-proof but I have to admit that it takes some effort to remove all traces of this fragrance from my skin.
This fragrance is definitely value for money considering how long it lasts.

If tenderness could smell it would be like Puro Talco. It is the very first time that disregarding hot wether – above 37 degrees, minimum – I’m wearing a ‘sweet’ fragrance, which is normally wise using in winter, without ‘plaguing’ the air around me. More than a frag – during these days – it’s a real challenge and it smells so good that I also receive positive comments. Although it is real that it brings you back memory from childhood I cannot read any babyhood in P.T.. It isn’t a childish fragrance and its sweetness is proficiently kept under control. Its tenacity is surprising too, it seems to last for ever. The evolution is quite plain, but after a while (let’s say 5 hours) I perceive the presence of a touch of almond and a powdery heliotrope that pop out to join to this lovable bouquet. If you like spritzing a frag only once in the morning trust it as you can easily find it up to dinner time! (Shower proof, or is it too much?!?) Another positive aspect is the price (talking about a ‘niche’ frag, especially….) which is affordable comparing to the quality, the high percentage of oils employed and the tiny quantity you really need “to glitter and be gay”.

Very interesting fragrance. It reminds me very much Soavissima Profumum but IMO Puro Talco (EdP version) smells better on my skin (a little hint of vanilla softens it). Good longevity and sillage. Worth a try.

This is so clear, warm and wearable fragrance. Perfect!
