As a couple other reviews have noted, this is sold in the United States as Avon Untamed. The bottle is the exact same design down to the cap.
I bought this because I had read it is a ‘dupe’ for Celine Dion’s Sensational Moment. To me, this is not a dupe. Dion’s is a comforting, soft, motherly type smell, with a touch of warmth. The only thing this has in common with Dion’s frag is there is a warmth to this. But to me, this smells masculine and heavy. I did buy this off of ebay (from a reputable seller with well over 1K feedback, and 100% positives) So, not true “dupe,” really, imho….if you are wanting a true dupe for Sensational Moment, you might be disappointed…as am I…
Anyway, aside from the Dion comparison (I wanted to add that, in case anyone was looking at this as a possible replacement for Dion’s fragrance, as Dion’s seems to be discontinued), this is..pretty much an average Avon very-affordable fragrance. For me, Avon fragrances just always have a dime-store scent and look about them, smelling very manufactured. Some obviously better than others, and this is one of the better ones. To me, this is a nice nighttime Fall/Autumn fragrance.
Not too heavy, but will still announce your presence, even with two light spritzes from far away, so this is almost..ALMOST..a statement type of fragrance for me (another huge difference from Dion’s, Dion’s is way light compared to this, and Dion’s is very feminine, whereas this has a definite masculine vibe to me). I get a lot of spices and the amber for sure with this. The citrus is totally MIA on me, as are the sandalwood and floral notes not detectable for me with this. Just a spicy amber with this for me.
All in all a pretty average/very affordable fragrance, great if you like spicy amber scents.

This was sold in the US as “Untamed” and you can find a bottle for about $10 on eBay. I love Untamed, it opens with a very strong geranium/cardamom/mandarin blast, if you are a geranium fan you will love this one. This really isn’t as creamy or milky for me as others have found it to be, but the sandalwood, amber and patchouli combine to give this a warm, sticky, slightly sweet woodsy base. The silage is great. I really like this, it’s a top notch Avon that smells so much more expensive/ high quality then it is. Avon’s can be a little hit or miss for me,but this one hits it right out of the ballpark. I have to add, I don’t really see much similarity to So Elixir Bois Sensuel.
UPDATE: As much as I like it, I’m not sure Untamed will work out for me, the geranium is just too strong 🙁 it never really settles and by the time that creamy drydown hits the lingering geranium is awkward and weird feeling for me.

I wore this when I was 19 or 20 when it came out and you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t a sexy siren man-eater with this on, I think it was the animal print cap. I remember it had a creamy sweet smell. I liked it well enough to go through about three bottles. I was heavy handed back then (well I still am if I like a scent). I would get it again if I could find it purely for nostalgia sake.

This bottle just came across my desk and my first thought, Feu d’Issey! That’s funny the last reviewer thought the same thing. The packaging is adorable, I’m not sure why they release things like Instinct and bypass a fragrance like Prowl. This is much more sophisticated and I agree way ahead of it’s time.

One of the ‘milky-spicy’ scents from the late 90’s era, probably slightly inspired by Feu d’Issey but much more pleasant and wearable. I still have half a decant and I occasionally use it on really frosty days, as the scent is so spicy, warm, sweet and intense. Why don’t they re-release it? Prowl definitely came ahead of its time, as on the millenium breakthrough few of us were ready for this time of milky-gourmand scents.
