Prada unveiled its gourmand caramel scent named Candy in 2011. In April 2013, the house lunches its adapted version under the name of Prada Candy L’Eau. Like the original, the new version is also signed by perfumer Daniela Andrier.

This playful and seductive perfume is modified with notes of citruses and flowers. Its opening sparkles with fresh Italian citruses, followed by the floral heart of sweet pea. The base is signature warm and gourmand, composed of benzoin, white musk and caramel.

The face of the advertising campaign is French actress Léa Seydoux. The promotional video was directed by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola.

The fragrance is available as 50 and 80 ml Eau de Toilette.
The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

This to me doesn’t smell like caramel at all, it smells like mix of benzoin and nice baby wipes, with a hint of sweetness.
It’s a nice scent but is it supposed to smell like this or am I anosmic to something in it? I’m getting NO gooey caramel or gourmand sweetness.
With exception of Candy Gloss nothing from Candy line smells anything like candy to me, always clean but slightly dusty with some sweetness.

im surprised this one got such nice reviews lol……..on me it was a nasty smell……i did the same nasty review for sugar pop………..neither one of these i thought was good or at least on me they were not lol but i do adore the other ones – kiss, floral & gloss 🙂

I heard this one was being discontinued..why why?!! 🙁 I looove this one!! if anything discontinue florale.. stankin a** mess!..ugh always the good ones..I know it’s still around but I’m already noticing prices going up a little on it. I used to be able to get a 2.7 tester for like $40 now they’re like 60+..

I have both Prada Candy and the Candy L’Eau. To me they are completely different. I love the soft feminine smell of L’Eau and I get compliments whenever I wear it, it’s my new favorite. I agree it doesn’t have the staying power as everyone mentioned, but works better with my body chemistry than the original Prada Candy. Maybe I will try a little layering to get the best of both worlds.

It is rather sad to me when perfumes are aptly named in the worst way. Prada Candy L’eau is truly a watered down Prada Candy. The original smells like buttery toffee candy to me. This one smells like lozenges.
It has a strange medicinal vibe and I am surprised there is no frankincense listed in the notes pyramid. I thought my nose was being weird but my husband picked up the same accord and commented it smelt like herbal Chinese medicine.
A strong nope for me. I love Prada Candy but wouldn’t go near the L’eau again.

This opens with a sweet coolness that has an essence of dry floral, which is quite balanced and pleasant. It is pretty but it doesn’t stand out to me in any special way.
Its wear time is also too short for me. I can’t explain what its dry down is like because, on me, it disappears. There is a lingering clean smell on my skin but it isn’t enough. I have other scents in that category that do stand out and last longer.

This perfume does nothing for me. Doesn’t make me feel pretty , sexy , floral , or anything it says it is. I have no nice or bad comments about this perfume, maybe just a little bad . Jja

I’m not a fan of the original or Candy Kiss: they’re too musky and one-dimensional on me. This edt has the caramel from the original with a quiet floral base. It’s simple and close to the skin. I like it, but it’s not fbw for me.
ETA: It lasts about 2 hours on me. I’m glad I got the rollerball.

    This is actually quite lovely.
Ive noticed that theres not a whole lotta love for the Candy line in general among prada fragrance fans; but this is better than the origional Candy.
Its got the same burned butter hot caramel note as the origional; only with florals backing it up giving it a lot more strenth and longevity.
It starts with a sharp zingy, almost sherbety opening from the citrus notes but soon becomes a nice soft creamy floral with a warm musky drydown.
Update: Ive noticed slight similarities to Mon guerlain, in the drydown The notes are completely different so im not sure where this comes from but i wont invest in a full bottle as I already have mon guerlain and Candy leau is quite deer.

I’ve ignored this candy in favor of kiss and Florale so long. It’s a really subtle soft sweet. The citrus isn’t too apparent, and it has a soft subtle lipsticky like floral quality. I’m someone who’s in love with powdery florals. I haven’t had an every day scent in such a long time but I think this simple formulation is so hard to tire of. I don’t see anything that I can agree with in the negative reviews (not negative. It’s more hat I don’t smell overly sweet, too much citrus, pencil shavings..) but that’s just me. Usually I can understand why people smell what they do but the idea of it coming off as sickly or highly citric really surprise me. It’s a nice soft delicate sweet mild powder without being too dry, serious, or anything of the sort. I have strong florals paired with powder like tuberose as well as more heavily powdered fragrances but this is simply the most gentle fragrance I’ve found so far. I doubly enjoy it’s faint Forman’s edge as I’m someone who likes gourmand influence without coming across as edible.

I blind bought this perfume and i regret it .. it’s very sickly sweet but i donot know if the original prada candy has the same kind of sweetness as this one or not , but the only thing that i could smell here is a mixture of caramel and Citrus which makes me disgusted .

I read the notes of Candy L´Eau and very many of the reviews here and then did a blindbuy. I shouldn´t have… I´m so disapointed. Directly after applying it smells of lead pencil and then it´s overly sweet, powdery and cloying. I can´t see what many of the reviewers see at all. I wouldn´t hate it on somebody else but it´s really not my cup of tea. I almost feel nauseated by it and think it smells like a older lady and on me it´s really strong and seems to lasts forever so not the poor longevity that everyone is talking about. How different the sense of smell is :). However, I LOVE the bottle! It´s clean and old-fashioned and maybe I´ll keep it just beacause of it´s beauty… If anyone wants to buy a completely new bottle in it´s original casing get in touch. Sweden shipping only.

If your into subtle sweetness its a good buy. Not as intense as the original Prada candy its a bit lighter.Very creamy and soft not overpowering. A good buy even if its blind.

This is a solid ‘like’ for me. Really solid. It’s lovely for ‘every day’ for me, and I prefer it over the original Candy. It’s sweet, but with a little fresh edge. It’s not very strong, and it doesn’t last too long, but as I do a lot of sports during the week, that kind of works out. Nevertheless, I don’t think I’d re-purchase, as it’s not mind-blowing, but I definitely do love having it in my wardrobe right now 🙂

Okay, this is an update to my review from last December (3 reviews below)
I applied it to my wrists, two short squirts on one wrist + pressed my wrists together, and then when I felt like I couldn’t smell that weird smell, I put on a third regular sized squirt and pressed my wrists together again.
Still no weird smell. So I guess this confirms that something was going on with my nose those few weeks and nothing wrong with this perfume.
Right now, about 10 minutes in, it smells like real candy, but one that doesn’t have an artificial flavor like strawberry or orange/ This is the plain candy base with a hint of natural caramel sweetness, and a touch perfumey (light and floral, NOT ‘OH GOD IT’S THE 80’S AND I’M DYING!’ which is usually what I imagine when people say “perfumey”)
So honestly this is literally what something called Prada Candy L’Eau should be. It is very much Prada Candy Lite and it’s perfect if that’s what you are looking for. It feels light and pretty an relaxed and is not trying to be sexy or get attention. (But it still might!) I’m so happy I bought this despite how my nose was reacting in the last review!
Just goes to show, you shouldn’t write perfumes off after one or two tries. (Now I need to go re-smell Candy Florale, though that limoncello note was a thing of nightmares!)

  17. :

Benzoin (along with a number of various incense-like notes) is not well accepted by the young audiences; too pity, it’s got a wonderful smell that adds depth and sensuality to a perfume. But if you’re too young, you just don’t “get it” and if you haven’t smelled a good variety of perfumes and just stick to Escada fruity florals or LVEB, you still won’t “get it”.
Well L’eau’s drydown is very benzoinic, very sensual and musky. For an EDT it develops a lot and accordingly to the pyramid above. Initially it has a caramelic floral scent, not like Candy though, and not sickeningly sweet, instead it’s very pleasant and balanced. The last thing to emerge is benzoin, which in my opinion is very prevalent.
A very classy and contemporary juice from Daniela Andrier. A lighter version of Candy that as an EDT lasts at around five hours and wafts softly around the wearer. Too feminine, fragile, romantic, you wanna hug the woman that’s wearing it. Something for autumn and spring.
It’s a solid like from me. Candy, I couldn’t really get used to, the more I smell it though the more I like the powdery-cacao drydown. Candy gloss is a fabulous floriental and and Candy Kiss is my personal favorite from the line with its steam-pressed accord of orange blossom, although I haven’t got a chance to wear it yet. Let’s see what Candy Sugar Pop will bring to the table.

This is such a gorgeous rich scent. Unfortunately I can’t justify purchasing the beautiful bottle because it disappears within minutes

Does anyone want to exchange?? I have half of a 50ml bottle. The benzoin is so strong I smell like old makeup when I wear it.

I originally couldn’t decide between this and Candy Florale and went with Florale because I thought it was a prettier color.
When I got home, the limoncello note in FLorale started shrieking and would not stop. I tried 3+ weeks to get used to it and hoped my “nose chemistry” would learn to like it but I finally had to give up. Lucky for me, they took the perfume back and let me swap it for Candy L’Eau with no headache or drama.
If I had to describe this in just a few words, “pale pink powdery caramel” would be a start. It really is the lighter version for people who can’t deal with Prada Candy. It’s very linear too. It’s almost the same from beginning to end, (minus the initial sharpness that happens in the first minute or two) then just progressively getting lighter as the hours pass. I’d say two squirts with wrists pressed together would last 4-4.5 hours on me on this cold December day.
HOWEVER. That horrible screechy note that I blamed on the limoncello in Florale is very mildly present here too. Right now I can’t smell it at all so I think it definitely has something to do with my nose chemistry (I also have this issue with LVEB, Angel, Anais Anais, which are all smelling good today) it’s well known from reading Fragrantica reviews and forum posts that a lot of people have complaints about those fragrances, so I just wanted you to know, if you have problems with those fragrances, you will have the same issue with L’eau and Florale too, except Florale was just OHHHH MYYYY GODDDDD 100000% worse than anything else. Even worse than Angel on a “bad nose day.”

Why is this classified as an oriental vanilla if it has no vanilla??

I can’t see why some people say this is a young girl perfume..It is not…I find this very strong and heavy, a bit annoying. I don’t know what it is, my mood just goes negative when I spray it. A big no from me.

  23. :

Sweet and caramelish in the beginning, that how this smell is, edt – medium durability, about 4 hours. I finish the sample of these perfume and will not be interested in the bottle. First Prada Candy is so sweet that I did not want to test them, I took L’eau as a milder version. It is, but according to me without character. Nothing happens, after 15 minutes there is no depth. Anyway it is a better scent in the category sweet than the Si Armani.

I’ve always wanted a signature scent which gently whispers “My heart is soft and full of love”, and I do believe Prada Candy is THE perfume. I used to spritz it on myself everytime I went past the perfumerie, and it made me feel like a different woman – like the woman I wanted to be. Carefree, a bit mysterious, sweet. Candy is a delicious caramel scent, perfect for fall/winter. I’ve never been more in love with a perfume in my life!

Light and fresh take on sweetness !sadly prada have recently stopped making this !

  27. :

I enjoy the original Candy, which is so sweet and sickly – this flanker is just so weak and watery. More citrus and floral notes than the original, with the volume on everything turned way down. My skin just eats this stuff up and within an hour I’m just left with nothing.
I would avoid this unless you’re into very subtle, soft scents. For me, it’s entirely pointless.

This is a very pleasant, easy to wear, powdery, clean and sweet fragrance. I get compliments when I wear it and I’ve repurchased it three times but I’m a bit over it. It’s very good but if you want something similar but deeper, try Valentino Donna.

The best one out of the prada candy line for me. This is warm friendly and smooth. I think the L’EAU makes all the difference. This reminds me of my chanel N○ 5 L’EAU.

This perfume perplexes me. It is the only fragrance I own that manages to be musky sweet yet still retains a gorgeous freshness. The citrus and sweet pea sit so gently on the caramel, musk and benzoin, it’s a seamless mixture. It definitely is different to the original Candy, but still retains the caramel/musk DNA. I enjoyed Candy just as much but L’Eau’s bottle is way prettier in my opinion anyway and the fresh opening so unique, that I chose this over original Candy when I sampled them side by side. Sillage and longevity are quite good, it isn’t an obnoxious fragrance but it does leave a nice cloud. I always get compliments when wearing this, from both male and females! Love 🙂

This is what I can describe as refreshingly sweet perfume. Not too loud, just a cool woody earthy sweet scent with a hint of sweet pea flowers and citruses that balances the sweetness of caramel. It is musky and i like it. Longevity, moderate.

Prada Candy and Prada Candy L’eau, for me, is like stepping into a time machine. Though I’d have to say that it’s no ordinary one!
It takes me to two different places at once where my fragrance persona’s duality fulfill gratification. Both exude ELEGANCE in maturity without spurning its child like PLAYFULNESS. With every note Candy plays, my soul is whisked away to inhabit distant memories…the sight, touch, and smell…all very real!!!
Vividly, I feel the sun’s glorious warmth through the colourful glow of stained glass windows adorning old churches and smell the melancholic atmosphere of antique dust and faint incense interlaced with the delicate trail of church ladies’ perfumes. I love the impression it evokes as Benzoin, like an unrepenting inamorata, reigns the heart of Candy’s trinity!
ENIGMATIC…it resonates with the wearer in a deeply personal fashion.
The one I’ve always been searching for…my signature!!!

This is the one and only gourmand type scent I actually fell In love at the first time I smell it on me. I usually get sick and got massive headache when I try sweet gourmand scents, but This working with my body chemistry so beautifully that its almost miracle. I absolute love this, and sniffing myself all day long 😀 omg I smell like an angel on heaven when I wear this!

ON ME this is purely baby powder wipes.
    Pretty and soft.
Its sweet, but not caramel, just as sweet as babywipes.
    Its powdery,very much like babywipes.
And soft smelling, just like babywipes.

i got a sample of candy l’eau by mistake. i ordered another sample when i was buying online at sephora, so when i found this in the mail, i was a little upset. my first reaction was, “eww, it’s so sweet”. what kind of girl would want to smell so sickeningly sweet? not me. but it became more of a guilty pleasure later. i would put it on when i’m doing nothing at home. and now i’m hooked. i love the complexity once the sweetness from caramel is lifted. it’s actually really intricate if i pay attention. i thought the advertisement was really cute too.

this is a very powdery musk that is deep, rich, seductive, and mysterious. this was designed for a very tough feminine woman. this is the most elegant chypre I’ve ever smelled. with very few notes, easy did it for this candy

Lol. So here it is. Cards on the table. Bought this on a “VIP sale” – Special invitation for a special kind of member that spends the most money etc. You get the drill. The big black card. That is me.
So I went in to a raging “GOTTA BUY EVERYTHING” mode.
So sniffed this, because bottle was pretty. (Yes, it is)
Sprayed and sniffed and “yes-why-not-it’s-a-bargain”-bought it. In a crowded departmend store. Wearing a winter jacket. Sweating like a sinner in church.
    You’ve all been there.
Well. Now it is 2 months later. And I’ve been wearing it quite often.
Met my mother. She was wondering if I was wearing “Tabac” (lol yes, really)
Now I am sitting here, sniffing my arm, and feeling a mixture of a (clean and sanitary) public toilet and Paris Hiltons Can Can.
I can live with that. I like it.

  39. :

I can’t stand this. For me this is, basically, the “fruitchouli” version of Prada Candy.
Gone is the animalic benzoin creamy vanillic musky goodness of the original, and in the place of the original’s understated sophistication and beauty is this generic fizzy patchouli/praline crap that’s the basis of so many modern scents today, though I might add that I believe this trend to be, thankfully, coming to an end!
    Flowerbomb,
    La vie est Belle,
    Coco Mademoiselle,
Etc, I.E you get the idea.
(This genre is not my niche nor my forte.)
The best of the Prada Candy range, in my personal opinion, are the original and the “Kiss” variation – which ups the muskiness of the original to dizzying heights, with more nuanced floral notes and a removal of the citrus.
    Adore.

This is really nice, I’m not sure why I haven’t worn it more! I like the original Candy better personally because I’m a sucker for warm, cozy smells. But the L’Eau version is an excellent springtime alternative to the original! It’s bright and warm at the same time and melds into my skin beautifully, surrounding me in a delicate cloud that never overwhelms. The citrus and sweet pea liven up the warm base, transforming it into a sunny, happy scent that I could see myself wearing on a colorful Spring day for a picnic in the park. This would match beautifully with a floral-printed sundress and ballet flats.
Candy L’Eau makes me want to run, free-spirited, through a field of sweet pea flowers–my hair streaming wildly behind me!

  41. :

This is so pretty! I don’t like either of the other Candy scents, but the sweetpea in this makes it so pretty to me. That, the caramel and the musk are strongest to me. It’s simple, sweet, but elegant. It makes loved ones want to come in for a hug.
Edit: Unfortunately, the dry down of this may be a bit TOO powdery/musky for me. For a similar sweet and elegant effect, a LIGHT spray of La Vie Est Belle will do.

This is what they should have done “First” instead of “Candy” HUGE Improvement, I can’t stand the original Candy, the flowers give this a much better scent. Thank Goodness. I like the Kiss too.I always thought the original Candy was weak & pathetic. Love this!

Powdery, sugary, flirty, youthful, playful, and fresh…..I love this scent in the summer but it’s too light in the cold winter months for me. I wore this recently whilst on tour through the Caribbean, and it was much stronger in the warm and sunny weather which made it a perfect match to the climate. Lovely and feminine!

  46. :

Much like the original and clearly its little sister. She’s just as sweet but in a soft way rather than a rich, indulgent way. I love both, but Candy only when the weather is cold, especially at night. L’Eau feels fine during the day.

  47. :

I have never tried the original, but I have a small decant of this. It’s kinda sweet, I can catch the caramel, a little floral, but it just doesn’t stand out for me. To be fair I don’t generally like the “lite versions” of scents. I am sure I would prefer the original so I’m going to eventually try to get my hands on it.

I use this beauty as a bed linen spray to have the best ‘sweet dreams’, as it is so airy and caramel…think lime patisseries and baby powder. I wear this around my family as it is makes you smell perfectly put-together, like doll skin.

Candy L’eau is very charming and flirty. This fragrance is one of the best caramel scents to me. Its the perfect mix of caramel and musk. Its bright, fresh and sparkly. This fragrance always makes me feel cheerful. its a scent that makes me feel happy and sexy. I highly recommend it to all people who love a light sweet scent that isnt headache inducing. x

Sweet and delicious. While I like the original Candy, I found that there was something about it that smelled a bit off to my nose, which prevented me from loving it. However, this flanker, while you can still tell it’s from the Candy family, smells just a bit fresher, just a bit floral (from the citrus and sweet pea, I assume) that makes it so easy to love. The longevity is good, I can still smell it on my wrist hours later, however the sillage is quite soft, as it turns into a skin scent quickly. It does layer gorgeously with my vanilla-scented lotions as well as my citrus-scented ones though. Overall, it’s just a nice, sweet, uncomplicated girly scent. I can easily say that this is a scent for all year round. I tend to lean towards this more during the daytime, as I find it just a bit too playful and bright for the night.

Hmm… okay. This one was tested last night. First spray smelt like cough syrup. An hour in it was powdery, later the syrupy stickiness of the note that was causing it to smell like cough medicine was back. Overall, weak. Projection was next to nothing and it was kinda a mess on my skin.

  53. :

I really like this. I think it’s better than the original. I’m not a huge fan of the initial spray but the dry down is really good. Boyfriend loves this too.

Today I’ve tried this perfume for a third time since I haven’t been able to wrap my head around it. The final verdict is that it indeed goes through three very distinct stages, the first one lasting about fifteen to twenty minutes and being quite strong, “fresh” and a bit off-putting in my opinion. The first time I tried it I didn’t give it enough time and dismissed the perfume completely due to this stage.
The second stage is soooo lovely though! Here it becomes quite similar to Prada Candy Kiss – soft, sweet, just a bit more fresh, citrusy and very pleasant. It is quite close to skin and when the perfume was at this stage I walked my wrist constantly by my nose.
About five to six hours after the application the fragrance has developed into its final stage, in which there is almost only caramel to be detected and it gets a touch very similar to Bonbon but not nearly as heavy.
Overall I have to admit that those less pleasant minutes at the opening are worth it because overall, I love it. A this very moment I have worn it for eight hours and it is still there without slightest doubt, while Prada Candy Kiss gives me tops five hours.
This one will clearly go on my wishlist to Santa this year!! 🙂

I’m on a mission lately to try all of the Prada Candy fumes. Candy Kiss is hands down my favorite. I would bathe in it if I could. Prada Candy doesn’t do much for me – sadly I don’t get any caramel or sweetness and end up with a rather run of the mill ambery-balsamic scent. I was hoping that Candy L’Eau would give me the sweet caramel everyone raves about. And, no. Honestly? I spray this and I smell…Shalimar. Which is to say a lovely, elegant perfume that I have many fond memories of (my mother wore it) but not at all what I was hoping for or expecting. I would never name this fragrance Candy, unless we’re talking some Victorian sweet made with almost no sugar and lots of medicinal herbs. I guess I have to chalk this up to yet another case of my chemistry latching onto the woody notes and obliterating everything else. Looks like Candy Kiss is the only member of this family I’ll be adopting.

Soft, sweet & inoffensive. Pleasant scent for the first five minutes, then disappeared. Very poor sillage and longevity on me, I couldn’t detect this on skin or clothing after a couple of hours. Would have liked a ‘neutral’ button to press on this one. A bit disappointing from a house of this reputation.

  57. :

Rich, pink, powdery candy, with a delicate background of white musk. Very feminine and appealing. Lush, yet somehow delicate too. GREAT longevity.

  58. :

    4 out of 5

Lovely fresh Citrus opening. Much softer Caramel than the original Candy. The Sweet Pea certainly calms this and stops the Caramel from being too food like – if that makes sense? I am not particularly a Gourmand fiend so I am grateful for that…though my nose certainly still classifies this as a Gourmand rather than on Oriental.
I can see the appeal in this perfume. It is sweet but not sickly, has just enough Musky Balsamic accord to stop it being overbearing and has a gentle silage that could not possibly offend anyone around you. Longevity is average – 3 hours tops. All in all though it does not suit my personal tastes.

  59. :

    4 out of 5

Brutal & honest review coming up. This smells cheap, the top notes remind me of scented candles. Although this lasts longer, go buy yourself something from Victoria Secret. This smells and gives a vibe like sexy little things noir. It’s not a dupe, but a close and cheap alternative to this.

  60. :

I’m not very familiar with the Prada Candy line itself but I wandered into this scent and it was love at first scent. So delicate and melodic, very strong Caramel with the rest of the notes following its lead. This is for sure dancing on the fine line between amazing and cloying so depending on your standards, do not blind buy.

Reminds me a lot of Flowerbomb so I detest it.
Prada Candy is soooo much better! If you like Flowerbomb, you’ll like this abomination.

“Threw the sample out”…..what a waste 🙁 no friends, relatives, workmates? Fragrantica swaps even? Love of scents goes beyond self…sometimes it’s the sharing and giving that brings the greatest pleasure 🙂

Probably the best blind buy I ever made — and it was at Ross of all places! $39.99 for 1.7 oz. Smells amazing, great caramel without being sickly sweet. AND the bottle is far more sophisticated than the original garish ones, the colors understated, the whole thing classy. So glad I found it and I think I got really lucky that it was L’eau, not the original.

I don´t like this actually… The opening is nice, fresh and flowery with lovely caramel in the backround. When the top notes fade, it’s not as nice. Not sure what note it is, but something in it smells like an old lady perfume to me, just a hint, but enough for me to be put off by it. It worked fine for feeling fresh before dinner when I was camping. Now that I’m home and have perfumes that I love to choose from – I threw the sample away. Just not for me.

original: very goumat, warm, sweet strong caramel
l’eau: lighter, almost fruity/lychee like start with the same base
florale: detergent top note nothing like the previous ones, then settle into a nice floral scent
kiss: niche, unlike other mainstream perfumes. can pass as something from diptyque

This is a very subtle, charming scent. I get a pleasant muskiness, coupled with a hint of caramel. The silage is soft, so it is appropriate for times when you need to be mindful to strong scents. I only have a mini splash bottle of this but reach for it when I just want to smell nice. Not overly sweet, and the musk makes it interesting.

This is ok. It doesn’t bother me, screech or give me any reason to dislike it, but isn’t one of those moreish scents that inspire compliments or interest. It feels like it has very little heart.
I would wear this to the office or somewhere that strong or individualized scent was discouraged.
On me the musky notes are quite loud, which is annoying because the top notes hold far more interest for me (I’m a big fan of sweet pea).
Silage and longevity are almost nonexistent. Buy this as a gift for friends that hate perfume.

sophisticated but sweet. soft and sugary but not subtle. prada candy l’eau is SUCH a charming fragrance. love bought it for me two christmases ago and whenever I spray it he always comments on how yummy it smells! the opening is citrusy but not in a clean way, more in line with a jelly tart or candied lemon/lime. once that leaves it definitely carries a caramel scent, but I would say its lesser than the original and more of a background player to the powdery sweet pea and musk. its innocent but memorable. i’m in love 🙂

This is so subtle and delicate… I love this version of Prada Candy!
It’s so wearable… And simply lovely.
A great fragrance, in my opinion! <3

I adore the packaging of Candy L’Edau, it’s gorgeous and very stylish..
I just received a 30ml bottle as a X’mas gift and after trying it for many times, I have decided not to keep it in my collections..
The scent did not stand out for me..personally it’s too light and is lacking of personality, strength, lasting power and sillage, which is all I want in my frag..so overall Candy L’Edau isn’t a bad frag, but I have to say I’m just not impressed..

This was my favorite scent for a bit and it’s the only one I brought on my first trip to London. For that reason it will always hold a special place in my heart. So many wonderful memories were made wearing Prada Candy L’Eau.

This flanker is what I now realize I WANTED the original Prada Candy to be. This lightens up on the saccharine heaviness that I found overwhelming in the original–I think the citrus influence actually allows the benzoin and caramel notes to shine together much more harmoniously. This would still be a winter scent for me, but I could wear it all day in cold weather and enjoy it.

This is excellent for young girls. For me this is pure sugar and perhaps a lovely citrus…but it has good silage and a moderate staying power…staying more than 4 hours. I would buy for my daughter but for me… it’s all rainbow and candy floss. I’m not there anymore!

I can see very few comparisons between Prada Candy & the L’eau flanker. They are both easy to wear, guilty pleasure scents for me – a dime a dozen, but delicious nonetheless!
The notes I get predominantly from the L’eau are citrus, sweet pea, and caramel, in that order. There is an underlying feeling of the caramel from the original Prada Candy, but this flanker isn’t as “fuzzy” or “warm”, it’s a little bit more high-pitched and shrill/sweet.
The longevity and sillage in both are weak, so I generally keep this in my bag for emergencies, or to throw on in the morning when I want something barely noticeable for work!

To me this perfume smells like baby powder. Very disappointing, awful and cheap smell that caused me headache. It’s really strong so putting more than 1-2 spritzes may make the perfume extremel
