I was traveling and I smelt this in the Dutty Store, it just overpassed my expectations!!! It’s súper delicious, smells similar to polo red, which is one of my favourites, it fits perfect with my seductor – self secure personality, same as acqua di gio, if you are a self confident person as I am, I recomend you to buy adg for summer and CH privé, those exotic tastes, are perfect for that personality.
If you are more passive personality way, I recommend you ck one, or nautica classic or blue, those are great, and makes you feel great.

Polo Blue was my first ‘designer’ fragrance however many years ago – purchased primarily because it came with a free Ralph Lauren Polo weekend bag.
If I used more than two light sprays before I went to work Polo Blue’s sillage would announce my presence – and not everybody is a fan of this fragrance: the opening can be somewhat harsh and potent which is unfortunate because after maybe one or two hours it softens down to a rather crisp, pleasant cucumber scent.
Eventually, the harsh opening was just too much to get through before I could enjoy the cucumber freshness so I gave it away.

I wish this one got more love. This was one of my first fragrances, and I’ve always loved the smell of it. It has a blast of citrus and woodsy right away and a hint of musk. It is unquestionably masculine, but not harsh or anything like that. It seems to be a fairly all weather type of choice actually. It’s not as strong as some would like it to be, but up close, your scent will be noticed. As I have gotten multiple compliments for it over the years.

I am not good at describing the scents of certain spices, ingredients, vegetables or fruits. I will say this cologne is not loud. It is inoffensive and very pleasant. I work making deliveries in a school. I take books and supplies to students and teachers. So I have to wear something to hide my musky body odor as I am in and out of classrooms all day and this cologne does it. Perfect for spring and summer. During the fall and winter I use polo blue the de parfum version which is more woodsy and potent than Polo Blue edt. I spray it 6 times on my shirt, belly area. At the end of an 8 hour work day, I can still smell it just a little bit. I would imagine others smell it more since we get used to a certain smell and our nose becomes fatigued by it.

This was my summer fragrance of 2017 along with Versace Pour Homme.
Blue has a lovely fresh clean fragrance which attracted more than expected compliments but as the summer wore on the less I noticed it. I’m someone who likes to be able to smell the fragrance on myself as well as others and I now feel I’ve become nose blind to Blue.
I’m glad it’s being put away for now but also look forward to re-introducing myself in the spring. If I was to buy this again I’d get a smaller bottle (or a larger bottle of Versace Pour Homme).

Scent: a sophisticated, almost dated, aquatic that I personally enjoy. Sharp cucumber, melon, suede, and woods.
Performance: weak even by designer standards. After about 2 hours it’s a skin scent and a weak skin scent at that.
Season: summer days and evenings. It’s ozonic nature makes it appropriate for spring. This is one of my primary summer office scents but the performance is weak.

I made polo blue into a workout fragrance for myself. I love how it smells but it takes me back to the 90’s and is just too obvious for casual wear, though I still love the effect and I think it really offers some mental support during a workout @ aromatherapy… Today I decided to mix with some Escentric Molecule 01… MMMM they go quite well together.
If you have these two, give this mix a try. It smells tremendous and offers great lasting power 🙂

This is my juice I love this stuff…. Currently ranked at 4.00 out of 5 on here, that’s not shabby. For me this is an energetic and very clean smelling workout fragrance. I am still seeking one other workout scent to switch it around with.
I have not tried the Parfum and not in a hurry because I wouldn’t change this. I like Nautica Voyage too which is similar with what seems to be a heavier emphasis on the cucumber note. I have only smelled a dab of NV from the sample vial but it could very well end up being my rotation piece, though I think I will still be looking for something completely different to alternate with.
A somewhat versatile fragrance I think but I prefer to go a step up when making a more social presentation

To the reviewer below,. Pure Sport and Polo Blue smell nothing alike even in the slightest. To my nose at least.
I own over 30 deodorants and Polo Blue was my first ever cologne that I’ve used for years. Also Pure Sport was the only deodorant I used for a long time until it was reformulated 2 years ago to a slightly worse smelling version of itself.
Pure Sport is a sweet oriental spicy fragrance prominently featuring anise, cinnamon, some florals, lavender, citrus, and a bunch other stuff to round it out.
Polo Blue is a cool crisp aromatic fougere featuring cucumber, melon, suede, and sage.
The closest deodorant to Polo Blue is Degree Adventure (the orange color one).

This is one of my favorite scents. It’s fresh, clean, and dry. It’s good for casual use but it can be used for something more formal as well. I find it to be suited for any season, and really enjoy it for fall and winter. I feel like this is a cold “blue” fragrance. It opens with a strong chilled cantaloupe/cucumber. After a few minutes a light and fresh mandarin/citrus smell emerges. It has some spicy notes in the heart of it. The basil and suede seem to keep it from being too sweet; it’s a very dry scent. Woody/musky notes begin to appear during the dry down. Overall a good choice, 8/10

This does have a cooling effect in the high heat situation as I live in a tropical Country and I have used this during the El Nino season. Although I also got compliments from office mates inside an Air-conditioned room so this also is suitable for cooler environments and when I was in a Mall and waiting inline for an ATM machine a woman started to engage me in a conversation, although she did not comment as to how I smell I did notice her trying to sniff my back just before she started to talk to me. Try this one and you can have a refreshing journey with this scent.

I’m not sure where this one fits in the fragrance world. Its an aquatic that is better suited for the colder months. Heavy in cucumber and somewhat of a gentleman smell. I would not recommend this for a younger person. The over all smell is quite nice but it just doesn’t seem to fit into a season. It don’t go well in the summer it is too heavy, and who wants to wear an aquatic in the cool months with so many better choices out there.
And that’s what it really comes down to. There are a lot of better fragrances out there at this price point to be had.

This is my updated review.
Polo Blue is a very good long lasting watery soapy cologne. Often soapy scents are a putdown in my book due to the negative connotations and the anti-aquatic “clean” fragrance stereotypes. I happen to like how light and clean it is which is mostly due to Arizona being Arizona and heavier scents baking you pretty good, especially in the middle of summer.
The longevity is typical for aquatics at about 6 hours with about 2/3 of heavy projection. The one knock on Polo Blue I can think of is that the smell is rather common. Calvin Klein made a similar smell with Eternity Aqua virtually with out even trying. That said, it is a pretty good light clean scent that you can wear in late spring, even into about mid fall providing you don’t have a cold snap.
Polo Blue is mostly modern and a great light scent fit late spring and into summer as well as warmer climates. I would rate it 7.9 but for those that hate and love to bash aquatics, I dont and wont fight it.

Bought last year because my original had run out. Still smells good but the basil and leather went out the window, literally castrated. It’s now a hollow shadow of what it once was: a blue blood, timeless spring and summer fragrance that set the trend of “blue” fragrances, but still had depth and character. This has been reformulated to my nose, and as much as I loved it’s original, I won’t buy this again. Aqua di gio profumo nails the fresh herbs citrus contrast and it lasts for hours. A shame

Scent is very unique. Smells fresh and dry which is why I like it. It doesn’t smell offensive. It’s bittersweet. It has astringency effect like your eating unripened bananas. After an hour or two, the fresh opening transforms to a spicy smell with a musky background. I wish it could’ve last long on my skin though. It quickly settles close to the skin after few hours and I don’t get much too in terms of projection. Regardless, the scent is what makes it popular and worth considering to be added in your wardrobe.

I love this frag for spring/summer, it’s one of my favorite. I broke it out today just to liven up the senses and remembered that I was just about out. Ran to the store and behold they had an EDP version!!! so I bought that. Got home put the usual 3 spritz on and thought how magnificent this smells, slightly different but wonderful. That is where it ends, dry down came quickly and it became a very thin close to your skin scent. Like WTF, EDT lasted for 5+ hours on me and projection was pretty good, this EDP version became almost non-existent in less than a half hour. I took it back later on in the day and exchanged it for EDT, much better in my opinion and on my skin. So Polo Blue EDT version I give a 8.5/10, the EDP version 3/10 and that is generous.

I’m a fan of most of the Polo line and Polo Blue is to my liking. It isn’t complex or sophisticated but it isn’t supposed to be. It’s an aquatic, fresh smelling fragrance that just smells so darn good. If you’re kicking around town, headed to work, or just hanging out with friends it will do the job for you. You will smell clean and it will be pleasing to be near you. On me this fragrance is fairly linear. The top notes hang around and the mids really don’t assert themselves. And I get none of the base at all. By the time the aquatic freshness wears off for me the scent is gone altogether. I think of it like a day at the beach. Once the sun goes down the time spent by the sea is over.

It smells like cucumber hand sanitizer, perhaps with less of the alcohol sharpness. It doesn’t smell bad, but the smell is just so spot on for anti-bacterial gel that it’s hard to imagine spraying oneself with this. I guess it could also remind one of common cucumber melon bath products – again, why buy expensive cologne that smells like body mist? It’s quite unisex, probably due to the overwhelming cucumber note. I would wear it if I had a bottle of it, but I don’t think I would buy it.

Ralph Lauren Blue is one of those that just didn’t really do anything for me. It’s a nice fragrance, but it’s like I want to just shrug my shoulders at it. There’s no incentive for me to purchase or own this, I guess I would say.
Breaking it down is fairly simple. The opening is a green fruity mix, mostly melon and cucumber followed by a heart of a rather blase sage and basil mix. The end result is a common woody, musky light dry down.
Anyway, I do think it’s a nice fragrance, it’s just rather common and uninteresting to me. Again, there’s no incentive for me to purchase this, but for the price you can find this at I see why this is popular.

Class, confidence, and distinguished…
It has been a while since I have tried my old friend, Ralph Lauren’s Polo Blue, but this morning I was reminded of the greatness of this fragrance and the way it makes me feel. It is hard to imagine this fragrance is 12 years old – geez, where does the time go?
Out of the bottle, the opening is a well-made composition of fruity, floral, and herbal notes that settles into woodsy and musky fragrance with a suede finish. Blue is masculine and is made for gentlemen.
Performance is above average – lasting 7+ hours on me and longer on clothing, all at a projection greater than arm’s length. I agree with reviewers suggesting that Blue is tailored made for more formal events, but add it does also offer great flexibility to be worn to less formal events and across seasons – it is all about timing, confidence, and setting. Blue is definitely office friendly and has “compliment getter” potential. The bottle is classic Polo design and the presentation is among the best for designer fragrances.
On a personal note, I have been wearing Blue from the beginning and introduced this to my Dad early on. Since that time, and still today, Blue remains one of my Dad’s favorite fragrances. While not the collector as I am, he has about five “go-tos” and this is one of them that he wears often. To me, wearing Blue goes much beyond being a great fragrance – Blue is about a Father and Son relationship and going down memory lane – fishing, road trips, and attending our favorite college sporting events, just to name a few. Thanks Dad for the memories and being a positive influence in my life.
My final tally for Ralph Lauren’s Polo Blue is 4.5 stars out of 5. Since I have discovered niche fragrances, Blue has slid from my Top 5, but will always have a spot in the Top 10 – not to mention the sentimental appeal. I strongly recommend adding Blue to any collection. It smells great and exudes confidence – you will not be disappointed. Enjoy your day and happy fragrance hunting…

I remember wearing this a ton during my senior year in high school, actually worn it for my high school graduation. Still have some left in a bottle manufactured in 2011. Recently bought it back and this is a bottle from 2015. I personally think that there has been some type of reformulation because off the top they smell different. The 2011 bottle smells deeper and greener that the new one, I also got way better longevity and sillage from the old bottle.The newer bottle from 2015 smells brighter and light, longevity on my skin is only about 2-3 hours. Still a great fragrance but I don’t think that this will cut it for my aa graduation this year. Probably will go with Bleu or ysl LA nuit.

Blue smells clean and soapy. Someone mistook it on me for ADG–that is to say the scent is clean and contemporary. The scent is safe, and usually I wear it only if I’m wearing a suit.
Blue is my “I want to smell clean and professional, but I don’t feel like smelling interesting right now” scent.
It serves its purpose. 10/10.

I forgot how much I love the smell of (fake) suede. It reminds me of Stetson Black, only not as cheap.

This smells VERY good. I read around that is a “light” scent but in my experience not at all.
Two sprays in both sides of the neck and is more than enough, and it projects nicely and stays several hours. No more than two sprays, tried more once and got feedback like “man, you should put less perfume”.
About the fragrance… stunning how the melon and cucumber make it a sweet yet serious scent. You can smell class with this and I think it’s worth it to have in your personal collection.

It’s my husband’s signature scent and of course I’m reminded of him when I smell this frag. It’s fresh, clean and light (we both dislike heady, headache-inducing scents) so this one is a great aquatic juice that goes really well with his body chemistry.
We noticed that this lasts longer when sprayed on clothes compared to the skin. And it smells a lot fresher when done so.
Nothing much to say about this other than it’s a great everyday scent for guys no matter what their age is. Great for hot weather but is also nice, out-of-the shower cologne regardless of the time of day.

In 2005 i inherited this frag from my father when he passed away.It was pretty much a full bottle but i have worn it sparingly.I actually have forgotten about it but i wore it to work today.It really is a great scent.I put on 3 sprays 9 hours ago and its still going strong so i dont get all of the weak longevity comments.

Fresh, fresh, fresh. OMG so good for summer. It exudes freshness and masculinity. The only problem with it is its longevity. You barely smell it after 2 hours.

Definitely a good one, longevity and projection are monstrous at least on me, gotta recognize it´s kind of cloying if over sprayed, but if you are gentle with the trigger all solved. Highly Recommended.

I sincerely wanted to like it and tried it a few times in Boots. But i felt embarrassed wearing this fragrance , because to me it smells like I have just had a take-away from the local Indian curry house. I don`t get it…I was looking for notes of cardomon,cumin, ginger,curry or some sort of Eastern spice. Hence the fact that I was well surprised when I looked at the composition:
Melon,Cucumber and Mandarin, Basil, Musk, Sage and Geranium. BUT the dry-down is not bad at all but I am just to conscious of the curry smell.
Maybe I will like it better in winter…?
