Description

Dior launched Poison Girl in January 2016 as the fragrance of a new generation of Poison. Its sweet and heady combination of bitter orange, Damask rose and rose from Grasse, almond, vanilla and tonka bean is announced by the slogan “I’m not a girl, I’m poison.” A year later, in January 2017, its new edition comes out as Poison Girl Eau De Toilette.

Poison Girl Eau de Toilette is a refreshed version of the original, dedicated to the same “type of femininity … freer, more daring and more virtual than ever.” The new composition, which is also signed by Francois Demachy, is based on the “shock effect” of three aromatic aspects; there are refreshing frozen orange, warm roses from Grasse and sparkling neroli.

The signature bottle design, which was created for the original fragrance in 1985 by designer Véronique Monod, is also present in this edition. The fragrance will be available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

I like Poison Girl. It has a younger vibe than Hypnotic Poison and its sweet. On me all I smell is vanilla. No citrus, nothing but plain vanilla. It smells good but its just not knock your socks off.

I expected orange – caramel candies, jellies, jams and similar climates. Meanwhile, Poison Girl eau de toilette is a fluffy vanilla, almond (which is missing, but it is clearly perceptible to me), tonka and caramel. Citruses slightly breaks sweetness. The aroma is cozy and feminine.

Been spraying this beauty on & off this week.
I love that it’s working on me now, in winter it let me down.
Now it’s spring and this blooms 😉

Opens up with a sugary orange candy, orange-vanilla ice cream, creamsicle scent which is rather hard to take.
But when this dries down – after an hour or so – it becomes a vanilla-caramel skin scent. It’s still not my favorite, but it’s a lot more pleasing than the opening.
I think only people who enjoy gourmands and vanilla would appreciate this. It’s sweet, but not a sugar-bomb.
I don’t pick up rose in here at all.
The longevity is 8+ hours. I can’t complain about the longevity.
This radiates off you in the summer heat, which is kind of fun.

Lol at the poll. This is not the perfume for a spring day. This is the smell of Xmas eve

My sweet heart brought me a bottle, I really like it, but I don’t reach for it much.
Maybe it’s not the right season ? It’s winter in australia, each time I wear this I pick up a play doh vibe :/ , but he always says I smell good? It’s a confusing perfume. Maybe in spring it’d smell a little sweeter & I won’t pick up the play doh.. For now I’m putting you away poison girl.

I’m wondering HOW Dior does it, it’s one of the sweetest fragrances I have ever smelled but it does not make me sick or induces headache. I just can’t get enough of it, the more I sniff the more I want, so addictive. Also, how could they freeze orange and transform it into perfume? Seriously. This is a masterpiece. This is how I picture a charming woman should smell on colder days.

Very sugary sweet, like a powdered sugar coated orange candy. I do get hints of balsamic notes hidden behind the sugar that makes the scent a bit deeper than your typical sugary modern perfume. The citrus can be biting, with the sugar it’s a bit much for my nose. But then an hour later, the citruses dried away and I’m left with wafts of warm vanilla powder which is quite comforting and lovely. The scent as a whole isn’t a love, but it’s quite nice, young and lively, sweet and feminine.

I waited for poison girl edt to reach my country for a long time.poison girl edp is my top one favorite, almost my signature and I was expecting a lot from it’s edt version.when I first tried it,I was kind of disappointed, not that I don’t like it because I do,I actually love it,but I prefer edp version ten times over this one
I totally agree with below review.when first sprayed orange is very strong and it’s not a frozen orange.it’s syrupy and caramelized, like melted orange candy and orange stands out as the dominant note for a while.middle phase is actually very pleasant.still orangey but less sharp and flashy.creamy orange-vanilla-a hint of caramel but finally it dries down to poison girl’s vanilla, tonka, powder signature base which I love, albeit softer, less deep, less gourmand and without almond.
Both longevity and sillage are less than edp version but they’re still acceptable.longevity is actually good for an edt but it’s very soft and close to skin in most of it’s life.
Poison girl edp is a winter perfume for most people but I wear it year round.edt is also year round wearable IMO
I haven’t tested unexpected flanker yet,I don’t think it’s going to be available here anytime soon, but if they’re going to come up with another flanker,I’d wish to see a poison girl noir/intense/ or even sucree

I like Poison Girl EDP better than this EDT. They are very similar, especially in the drydown, but the opening of the EDT is fresher. In theory, that sounds good to me, “frosted orange” sounds very appealing. But in practice I think the orange doesn’t really leave an icy, frosted impression – the opening is rather just an intense blast of different citrus notes that don’t mix too well with the caramel and the Poison Girl signature base of super-creamy tonka and vanilla with a dash of rose.
In the drydown the strong citrus calms down and it becomes very reminiscent of the original PG, but a bit lighter, with more air to it. Very creamy and gourmand, with some light orange and rose.
Not bad all in all, but I’d recommend the EDP or even the La Rive dupe (which I have) or PG Unexpected over the EDT.

    1. test. Very pretty. Too weak, though. Faded.
    2. test. Orange lemonade. Didn’t notice ealier.
    3. test: Most beautiful. Mild fluffy strawberry icecream. Orange: no.
    4. test. Nearly empty bottle+heat: Orange. Feels much worse.
    5. test. Jam-like sweetness, too sweet stuff. I believe it now.

Ok so I only had this on for an hour but last year I fell in love with the perfume version of this but the edt idk about which makes me sad cuz I want to get the new roller pearl version ! It’s so cute!! I do sense at first a seeet orange maybe then a cookie or something baking in the oven but then I smell a play dough smell which is odd and I love CARAMEL but to me this doesn’t smell like a warm rich caramel , it’s more like chemical dare I say air freshener scent

-The first Poison Girl edp is balmy, warm and rounded, comfy yummy scent. All about vanilla and almond.
-The second Poison Girl edt is sharply sweeter a bit colder, candy like and sugary. All about that frosted orange and caramel.
-The third Poison Girl Unexpected is jammy and juicy, even colder than the edt.I get more fruity floral tones here and I would say its all about blood orange and rose.
The edp is the closest to Hypnotic Poison edt, but softer and not dark and smoky.

This is really nice and I do like it a lot, but I wish I’d gone against the general consensus that this is better than the EDP and bought a full bottle of the EDP instead of this. This has a sparkling fruity opening and is lighter than the EDP and I get why people prefer it, but I think the EDP is softer and cozier and reminds me a little bit of Gourmand Coquin, especially on the dry down. I also disagree that this is suitable for hot weather, although it is great for any other type of weather, making it more versatile than the EDP which is truly best left for winter. Also, I think that the sweet orange combined with the candy-gourmand notes can make this cloying if oversprayed, but I never find it cloying if sprayed judiciously, then it is just sparkling and ultra girly (in a very good way). But don’t get me wrong, I still really like this and find it very feminine and charming in its own way. I also really appreciate that Dior seems to have used high quality ingredients thus escaping the trap of “cheap/synthetic” that most fragrances this sweet fall into. I can see myself finishing this bottle, I just don’t think I would repurchase it (I’d rather get the EDP instead). I don’t understand the hate for the PG line, all the PGs are supposed to be sugary sweet gourmands but I think they are impecably well done and are far higher quality than other saccharine gourmands in its price range. I think they’re both better than, for example, Love By Kilian which is far more expensive. I think that if you prefer cozy, warm-blanket type gourmands you should go for the EDP, but if your tastes veer towards fruity gourmands then the EDT is for you. Also, kudos to Dior for making the EDT it’s own distinctive fragrance rather than a watered down version of the EDP. If you’re a die-hard PG fan it may be worth owning both. The difference is pretty much equal to the difference between Hypnotic Poison EDP and EDT. And if you don’t love this one, don’t write off the EDP, and vice versa.

So i waited a while before i posted a review in this. I bought this because i love gourmands and i wanted the caramel note, i love it. Iv worn it on my skin without moisturising and it stays for 5-6 hours with the last few hours becoming very soft that i can only smell. When i moisturised and then added this scent well i felt it was more sweeter if that makes sense. And it lasted all day. I always shower at bedtimeand spray my night clothes with the perfume i am going to wear to bed. I can still smell the caramel note on my top 2 days later it is sooo cosy.
I was quite disappointed with the colour of the liquid in the bottle,it shows it as a nice hot pink but when i received mine its nothing like that its a very very light pink if u can call it that sort of colour. All in all i would deffinetly buy again.
P.s the weather her is still cold with the wind being quite bitter occasionally i love ut when its windy and i can catch wafts of perfume travelling.

This finally came to the stores here were i live. I like this version better than the edp. This one is softer. Truth be said, it is not “poison” anymore. This one has lost the uniqueness and the “bite” from the edp. This one is just one gourmand more, but it is very well done, very feminine and pleasant. This is something romantic girls will surely like.
This one gets another plus point from me, because the caramel note is really well done, and normally caramel gets weird on my skin.
If you’re looking for a gourmand for spring, test this one.

  18. :

I like this a lot. The orange, caramel, vanilla, rose, and tonka bean are very well blended. Nothing jumps out singularly. The name is really unfortunate. “Girl??” I’m 55, it doesn’t seem “girly” to me. Pretty bottle. Longevity is about like all my others, only a few hours on my dry skin. Sillage is modest.

  19. :

Poison Girl EDT smells nothing like the EDP. I sprayed EDT and let it settle on my skin for a few minutes. The sniff i first got of it left me…weirded out. It smelled exactly like a mosquito reppellent lotion. I gave it more time to show me its true potential but it was just not worth it. Very artificial, plastic-y, cheap and weird.
Given that I was wearing the EDP on my other arm, i was left amuzed from the huge gap between the two fragrances. It felt like EDT shouldn’t even be included in the ‘Poison’ family. EDT is definately not for me. I will perhaps reconsider it during the summer months when mosquitos hunt me down, but for now it’s a pass

I have been wearing the original Poison this week and can definitely say that Poison Girl smells nothing like the original. Poison Girl is not a bad smelling perfume, but it’s just your run-of-the-mill oriental vanilla that you see over and over these days.

  21. :

    3 out of 5

I’m surprised no one has picked up that this smells EXACTLY like Alien. Thierry Muglar could probably sue if he wanted.
So yeah, lucky it’s pretty delicious. I like it – smells like an artificial vanilla with some licorice. Glad to have this cute fragrance for those days when you crave a sweet scent but don’t want to smell too generic.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

…Why oh why is this called Poison “Girl”??? I am NOT a girl. I’m a full-fledged woman. I’m really loathe to tell people I am wearing anything called “Girl.” This should have been called “Poison Sucree” at the very least. I would have tried it MUCH sooner than I did. As it was, I only bought this because I had a 20% off coupon at Ulta and had to use it before 12/24. Had I realized they had in Angel Muse EDT (which is just launched) I probably would have bought that instead, since I love Angel Muse EDP.
But I digress! Poison Girl is not a bad perfume. It’s okay. It falls in line with all of the sweet and fruity offerings major house offerings these days. The drydown is MUCH better, and interesting, than the initial blast. Maybe it’s the Cashmeran note that’s adding a bit of warmth?.
Here’s an interesting twist: Because I like to layer, I actually sprayed this on top of my vintage Chanel Coco EDP the other day and it was divine! As I wore it, it became very popcorny with a hint of sweetness. Interestingly enough, I was just reading about Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 that had the coveted strawberry popcorn smell and ordered one online, and now I’m really curious as to whether this concoction of mine actually ends up smelling similar (it’s on its way so we soon shall see!).
So, do YOU need Poison Girl? Do you collect Poison flankers (as it seems that I am now?) Yes, you do. Do you already own a pink citrusy vanilla juice from some other offering? Probably not. Is this better than another recent citrusy sugary offering like Angel Sucree? Hell no. But you could do worse.
EDIT: I now have my 2005 bottle of Miss Dior Cherie and am wearing it today. I am torn. It does smell as described…but there’s something missing. I think I actually like my mixture of Coco with Poison Girl better. MDC smells like buttery popcorn, but my Coco/PG alchemy smells like caramel popcorn. Much better. There’s also that dang Coco Mademoiselle thing to contend with. I used to LOVE to smell CM on others, but by the time I dropped coin on a bottle I couldn’t stand it on myself. This MDC 2005 reminds me of CM, which shouldn’t be a bad thing since I did love it once, but there was just something in CM that was added that was too, too much. Another frag that smells super similar to both of these is Camelia by L’Erbolario. I actually smelled it on someone else and begged her to tell me what it was and I ordered a bottle straight away. But there went that Coco Mademoiselle smell again once I put it on. Seriously, what is wrong with me? Why do I love/hate so much??? I think I am going to add Poison Girl on top of the MDC to see if it turns more caramel on me. Maybe that will solve it??? To be continued…

I just sprayed some of this on my wrist a few hours ago.
It started off as one of those sweett, inexpensive perfumes I like to douse myself with in the summer. It smelled very good, but nothing special. But over time it developed into a beautiful, unique scent. Very soft and sweet. Cupcakes and sex.
It went straight to the top of my wish list.

It was with great joy and anticipation that I spotted this on my first trip to a shopping mall in over a year. Oh the joy!
First spray, it hit me hard . . . playdough! Like salty, doughy, weird playdough. I hear of people looking for a playdough scent. If that’s what you’re looking for, try this. It might do the trick.
But it’s just playdough and very sweet, and just not me. There’s no development. The playdough eventually left after a couple of hours, and now it’s just sweet. But I really can’t pick out any notes. Just lots-o-sugar.
I’m not a perfume snob at all (refer to my wardrobe for evidence). I love all kinds. But I just think I’m not up for the super sweet ladies. Saves more for those of you they work for! 🙂
Oh, and the bottle isn’t purple, which is a bummer-slash-blessing, because I LOVE purple bottles, and if it was purple and beautiful like the photo, I would have been sad to dislike it like I did.

I never like ‘sweet’ scent perfumes before. I always prefer clean, fresh, flora, fruity or woody etc. scents but not ‘sweet’ (because every time I tried them I had a headache). But now I fall in love with “Poison girl”. Fresh orange bloom and very sugar sweet along with deep dark but warm. I can tell this perfume made me started to like this kind of scent.(Now I began to like Viva la juicy or yves saint mon paris.) I can’t stop sniff .. sniff ..sniff and sniff when I wear it.
I think, it will be my new signature.
    p.s.
I have both of EDT and EDP ver. I prefer EDT because it’s fresher than the original (but longevity is lesser. 4-5 hr. on my skin. )

  27. :

    5 out of 5

I love this! At first, the fragrance definitely smells like frosted oranges (not that I’ve ever smelled a frosted orange, haha), but after a while, the vanilla and tonka bean combination makes its presence known and I love it! It feels like a very wintry fragrance: frosty at first, but then it warms up after a while. The sillage on me is quite good, so make sure that when you spray this, you let it take you on its journey for the next day or so. Seriously. I really do like this a lot, but a word of caution: it’s a unique scent that was definitely made for a confident young woman, so if you, like me, are still taking baby steps with wearing perfume in public, I wouldn’t start off with this one.

I did it all just for her
I did it all just for her
    And love wants us dead
Just me and my poison girl ♪♫♬
I can’t help but hum that HIM song every time I see this perfume 🙂 Even the perfume’s color is the same as the cover of Razorblade Romance album. Oh, nostalgia!
Sentiments aside, let’s talk about the perfume. Like many reviewers have already stated, it’s more citrusy and less syrupy than the EDP version. I think that Poison Girl EDP gradually morphs into Hypnotic Poison EDP, and Poison Girl EDT doesn’t go quite so far. But it may sound more radical than it is. The drydowns smell really similar. Actually, I could bet that there is a licorice note in both versions, it’s just that in the EDT version the licorice is more subdued. The main differences are in the top notes. It’s up to you what you choose – the syrupy kick or sharp citruses. For me, either one works.
There is a general opinion that Poison Girl is not a real Poison and it doesn’t belong to the line. Of course it’s not as serious as the other Poisons, but all of the Poisons are quite different in style. And they were trendy at the time when they were released. Just remember the gorgeous Midnight Poison (btw, they made a huge mistake by discontinuing it). The patchouli note was all around the perfumery world in 2007. At that time there were many patchouli based fragrances. I think that despite the fact that Poison Girl seems like a more commercial release, it sort of follows the idea that every new Poison (not a flanker) is very different from the previous one and this is what unites them.

I love love love this one! I really like PG EDP, but the EDT is much better. They are still very similar but I love that the citrus notes are more dominant than they are in the EDP. The EDP is beautiful as well, but I think what made the EDT as gorgeous as she is, is the caramel mixed with orange. There’s also that signature Dior vanilla that i love. This is one of those frags that I need to have in my wardrobe permanently. Bravo Dior!

    This fragrance oh my god!
I received a sample of this beautiful scent and within a few days it was gone. I could not stop smelling my arm, clothes or anything it had left a hint of smell on. It was love at first smell I have been searching for a Perfume that in bodied me and who I am and here she is in all glory Dior poison girl EDT. it sounds cliche but I had butterflies and I still do whenever I spritz myself. Within the week I bought a full size bottle with no regrets.
This fragrance is spicy yet sweet and the bottle itself is gorgeous I love the pink juice inside.
I definitely would say this fragrance is not just for young girls as the advertising targets I am in my mid twenties and will proudly call this my signature scent.
    Projection: 7/10
    Longevity: 8/10
Price: Not cheap but 100% worth it.

I have no idea what’s happening with my sense of smell but I’m jealis if anyone who immediately enjoys or is patient with this perfume, reading the notes I put it on a test strip multiple times with the intention of smelling it throughout the hours. I can’t. I don’t even know if this review deserves to be posted (I feel like if even you think it’s unhelpful. It’s not. Don’t post it.) but all I get is screaming citrus? Nothing else. Just loud sharp angry lemons. I thought I was crazy but it happened every time. Some got on my in stores and
I couldn’t wait. I immediately scrubbed it. I’m someone who can’t wait until the drudown. If it’s too intense initially than I can’t even wear it in the fist place. Reading all of these reviews and knowing my experience makes me feel like a noseblind idiot.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

I have both Poison Girl EDT and EDP and love both. Lots of people have reviewed this one for what it smells like, so I will focus on comparing the two concentrations.
The drydowns of both are pretty much the same. EDT gets there a heck of a lot more quickly–in fact after the first 30 minutes or so, you’re there. The top notes are where the differences are…EDP has a perfumey quality and there is more almond and rose, and these linger for a few hours. EDT has a gorgeous fresh orange and the floral notes are not as prominent, and goes right to the drydown.
This is not one of those scents where EDT and EDP are two totally different perfumes, like Addict or Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire, but if you are wanting the orange and slightly fresher, go with EDT. If you want a little stronger and more almond, go with EDP. Or be like me and get both. 😛

This review is for the ladies interested in finding a fragrance that garners attention from men. If you’re looking to break necks and then hearts, pick up a sample of Dior Poison Girl.
I have the eau de parfum concentration but have more experience with this eau de toilette, but either one will get the job done effectively.
Not only is Poison Girl (edt) an extremely seductive and sexy scent, but it’s a fantastic value as well. Although it’s less concentrated, it performs very well and seems to project very nicely. The opening is amazing with the bitter and frosted orange notes on top of the Grasse and Damask roses. Add caramel, tonka and vanilla to the equation and you get one hell of a fragrance. It’s semi-sweet but not sickly sweet, so you can wear this in warmer weather, indoors and out. Obviously it’s a fantastic date night scent, however, it’s very versatile. I’d compare it to Dior Sauvage for men, since it can be worn for any occasion.
Every man I know, whether they’re a fraghead like me or not, appreciates this fragrance and considers it sexy. Surely sparks will fly if you’re out at night looking to attract that elusive young man that’s been missing in your life. I’ve tried a lot of fragrances over the past three years, old and new, niche and designer, but this one immediately jumped to the top of my list after I smelled it on a friend. Perhaps I am biased considering the woman wearing it, however I’m confident it will work for you.
Spray some on your man’s pillow prior to leaving their place and wait for his call or text messages to flood your inbox shortly thereafter, I guarantee it. It’s really that good. Spray your own bedding with this juice and he probably won’t want to leave your bed the following morning. If there was ever a chance to use the dreaded “panty dropper” terminology to describe a women’s fragrance effect on men, this is it.
Mr. Demachy has created a modern masterpiece for ladies of all ages, not just the “girls” as suggested by its name.

Thought I had found my true love with Poison Girl EDP. The almondy, sweet powerhouse really impressed me and was popped to the number 1 spot on my want list.
But that was until I met the delicious and refined Poison Girl EDT.
It opens with the most scrumptious orange jelly-candy smell, similar to the EDP, but more tart and juicy. The heart comes through about an hour later, with hints of neroli and big wafts of vanilla delight. This is the “Orange Dreamsicle” stage. And it lasts for hours. I’m talking a solid 8 hour block of creamy vanilla & orange blossom heaven.
For the last 3 or so hours, the last skin trail is that of a cream soda float.
It’s delectable and extremely well done. A real GEM of the saturated sweet scent market. Poison Girl is a creamy, dreamy must-have.
    ***
    sillage: moderate/strong
longevity: very long lasting 10+ hours

I am pleasantly surprised that I love Poison Girl edt because I didn’t really like the edp. To me this smells way better than the Edp. The tartness from orange save this from being cloying. And I don’t even like citrusy scents. This is so yummy. It has airy quality that it never feels thick even in the summer heat. I didn’t feel nauseous at all. This is perfect for those who love gourmie perfumes but feel too overwhelmed when wearing one.

  36. :

I feel like this fragrance is fitting for all seasons. Has elements to keep it slightly summery and somewhat effervescent (guess that’s the orange peel?). It’s also warm enough for autumn and winter with the vanilla and caramel aspect to it. In spring, the floral notes make it appropriate.
I love this fragrance. Perhaps the EDP would be more comforting for fall/winter, but I actually like the EDT more since it is a bit fresher. I feel like this is great for the office as well as going out. It’s an all-around wonderful perfume, although I personally would not have picked pink as the color for this perfume, nor would I have picked “Poison Girl” as the name.
Maybe “Tranquil Poison” or something along those lines would be a better name. I like the clearish bottle, but think that a more suitable color would be a very pale orange for the liquid itself versus pink. If I did not know what color this juice was, I would not guess pink and would assume a very pale tangerine/sandy color. I say “Tranquil” would be a good description because it seems to be a comfortable poison. It’s the kind that slowly kills you over time while you bask in its sweet glory…for the meantime. It is very feminine, however, but I don’t see this as being “girly,” but rather quite womanly. It’s deep, strong, and proud without being too loud.

For some reason this smells like chocolatey vanilla on me. very gourmand and long lasting but gives me a slight headache

  38. :

Very likable fragrance in my opinion, hard to fault it. It’s definitely got hints of Hypnotic Poison, an old favorite of mine, with the vanilla and almond background. However, on me it mostly smells of orange and musk – well, what I call musk which I’m beginning to see might actually be something called “cashmeran” – interesting!
Don’t pick up on a lot of neroli, but there is a slight hint of rose. Mid-weight sillage and lasting power, it’s a nice choice in the department stores but doesn’t feel like it’s bringing anything new to the table. But hey, there’s plenty of room both on the shelves and in perfume aficionados wardrobes for a dependable perfume and the bottle looks cute alongside the other Poisons, so can’t hate on that.

Yummy! This is what I wanted V&R Bonbon to be.
When I was a little girl, sniffing mum’s No.5 and No.19, wondered why they ruin nice smells by adding stinky smells such as Aldehyde, Oakmoss etc… (I didn’t know what they were though)
Out of desperation I mixed vanilla essence & almond essence from the kitchen with dad’s brandy, put it in a tiny bottle and wore it. It was my own perfume that consists of only three notes I truely loved. Lol.
Now, nearly four decades later, Poison Girl EDT reminded me of that success. This is purely gourmand without being bubblegum-ish. That scent-obsessed 5-y-o me would approve this one.
I’m not saying PG is for kids. It’s nicely done and long lasting. It does have Hypnotic Poison DNA. (I own EDT & EDP)
PG EDP is obviously closer to HP. PG EDT is lighter with oranges that stay throughout the wearing.

Why is this perfume called a girl? It’s not girly. It’s pretty grown. I like how the warm citrus compliments the gourmand notes such as tonka, vanilla and caramel. The soft cashmere and the fresh, sensual flowers prevent you from using this perfume as a dinner desert. The sweetness is there but it’s not too heavy. I like how it blends into my skin. I deeply love the original which I gladly wear in the heart of winter. This one would be very appropriate during the fall too. I like it!

Honestly this perfume is phenomenal I’m in love with it. This is the one I’ve been looking for I have tried so many that were good but not on this level. Hypnotic poison was a no from me but this is so different, more sweet innocent. Poison girl though? I’m not sure about the name I don’t think it suits it really. I think the bottle is beautiful 🙂

    Okay… LOVE!
I’ve heard this is better than it’s sister EDP, and yep it is… by a mile… or a million.
So, so beautiful! It doesn’t start as perfumey or heavy as the EDP but definitely has the same DNA. I get the frozen orange straight away, and it lingers the entire time but blends so well with the vanilla and tonka. The caramel is also incredibly well blended and add’s a touch of playfulness.
Overall, a very strong love. However, lasting power and sillage isn’t that great. But the smells that good, it’s hard to care.

Poison Girl EDT is seriously addictive. The first time I smelled this, directly from the bottle, I chalked it up to being just another boring fruity-vanilla gourmand. Then I tried it on my skin and I was like, “mmmm…this smells better than I initially thought…”. Then I got a sample and I couldn’t stop wearing it. I burned through that sample and promptly got a second sample that is now almost gone. This perfume has rapidly moved from “meh” to “I need a full bottle NOW!”
This perfume progresses from a candied orange opening to a cozy vanilla dry down. All phases of the perfume are beautiful and I love the opening just as much as the dry down. Sillage is moderate and longevity is fantastic, making it a good perfume for many occasions/situations.

Poison Girl is a composition of a chemical sweetness (vanilla powder) and threadbare freshness (“frozen orange”), which does not succeed in rendering the mixture any fresher.
My active night clubbing past dates back to almost ten years, and this Christian Dior perfume still gives rise to the same vibrations as back then. For this reason, this is a safe choice for the clubbing girls of today: in order to exude attraction in the whirls of dancefloors, but still not to stand out.
However, Black Opium, another mainstream seduction scent, of which Poison Girl reminds so much, is, in my opinion, a far nobler and more multifaceted creation.

Oh no, I accidentally bought the EDT instead of the EDP and there are no liquorishy, almondy bits like in Hypnotic Poison that I smelled on the EDP tester. This is a very pleasant, rich, smooth, fruity, rosy, vanilla that will be pleasurable to wear but I probably won’t crave it like the EDP.

Simply just sweet, delicate and lovely. In love with this. It’s the first poison I have ever liked.

First of all, I absolutely love Dior perfumes and I have wanted to test this flanker for a long time. I really hoped that this was gonna be a semi-sweet comforting vanilla mixed with very juicy oranges type of scent, but it wasn’t.
On my skin it turned into uncomfortably sweet burned strawberry jam – had to wash it off. I think I got the burned caramel/ burned strawberry jam combination because of the bitter orange note. The caramel in this perfume smells pretty much like you’ve just boiled up a ton of sugar and it has turned into a rough caramel-candy. No milk, very harsh, but still sweet.
Up close you can smell other notes as well, but it mostly projects the caramel note.
Nevertheless I do think that this scent is probably perfect for someone in between ages of 9 to 14. It is very very youthful. Just sad it didn’t work on my skin. Projection is definitely enormous, a lot stronger than what you get from usual eau de toilettes.

This perfume is GORGEOUS! I smelled it at my local Ulta, and I was hesitant because I did not like the eau de parfum version when I smelled it. This version, however, is beautiful! At first spray, it’s a blast of citrus and cream (like an
