Day four in Hawaii and we were finally blessed with sunny skies. I had made my Hawaiian perfume purchases.. Forever Florals, a Honolulu based company, had inexpensive island scents available in every corner grocery, and I had scooped up the Plumeria and the Pikake, two flowers I had been smelling in the air everywhere since I stepped off the plane. I sprayed myself down with the Plumeria one and hit the beach. It’s such a light and feminine petal scent. The scent of the $5 lei I bought from a woman on the side of the highway, stringing the blossoms with her young daughter helping. And even though it’s inexpensive, it does not smell cheap. It felt perfectly suited in a 5 star sushi restaurant for dinner on our final night of tropical vacation. Whenever I have worn this perfume since that trip, I immediately feel blissed out and taken right back to the beach, sipping fancy cocktails and napping on the sand, feeling aloha. An incredibly unique smell, reminder of the humid island air filled with so many of these blooms.

Plumerias are my favourite flower. This smells so sweet and feminine, I always get compliments on it! It’s not overly complicated with tons of different notes, just the beautiful scent of plumeria!

I can only mist a small amount on me. I’m not one for strong florals, but a friend bought this for me from Hawaii. It’s quite sharp, no softness at all. I’m afraid it smells very chemical-y to me.

I love the Tiare Flower from Tahiti which looks a little like the Plumeria flower from Hawaii. I’ve performed in Hawaii many times and have enjoyed cruises that go to Hawaii and the island flower is always so inviting so beautiful and tropical. I thought this scent would magically and realistically recreate that floral scent. Of course for what it is it’s not bad and it does smell a bit like plumeria but it’s mostly frangipani as the listed note on Fragrantica says. Theyre 100 percent accurate. This is a fruity tropical frangipani. However with an unlisted “invisible” white floral note of gardenia this thing becomes very much like the plumeria which is a type of gardenia anyways. There is also a vanilla scent I pick up from this. It’s really quite lovely. It comes in a body spray form so it’s not really a perfume but it does have enough life to keep you enjoying the scent well over 5 hours or even 6-7 hours. It’s pretty strong if you apply too much. It’s soft and girly if you spritz with a light hand. It’s also great as air freshner for your house and for your car. Love it.

A friend brought me some of this back from Hawaii when she visited years ago. Plumeria is a wonderful, soft scent that I really adore. I will always love the scent of Plumeria and I know it is in a lot of other fragrances, but you cannot beat the pure scent.

I once lived on the island of Maui and plumeria was my favorite lei flower. This perfume is just the one note of pure plumeria with long lasting power and moderate sillage. It is enjoyable for warm summer evenings after a day at the beach when you want to be in a tropical mood.
