I thought this was so good when I sprayed, but then on the skin it’s just a “decent” candied gardenia-like fragrance.

Gardenia, Musk, elemi, & Jasmines. It’s more of a musky gardenia jasmines with doses of elami.
It turns later into something soapy as well and slightly metallic! then it turns a bit into Insecticide!
I know Gardenia, and i like gardenia, but this doesn’t resembles gardenia, plus i don’t see any staying power through all their products!
If this supposed to be vintage since it’s launched 1879, then truly, today’s perfumers are MUCH BETTER creative, and inspiring.

Just came from the boutique at the Plaza Hotel. Smells nothing like a gardenia. Very strongly resembling a magazine scent strip. Sigh…

Probably the best gardenia fragrance I’ve come across since vintage Tatiana-

For so many time I was searching for a fragrance similar to Chanel’s Gardenia, but with better staying power and voila here it is! Krigler’s gardenia is like a sister to Chanel’s Gardenia and a cousin of Isabey’s Gardenia. It’s bolder, stronger and less changeable. Krigler’s gardenia is blooming among mimosas in a candy shop. It is sweet indeed, for some may be a bit too candied. I get no jasmine notes. It is No.1 in my wishlist:) The staying power on my skin is superb!
