Bought the edt as a christmas present for myself.. Biggest regret ever. When first spraying this smells slightly flowery and green, which is ok, but the scent basically disappears right after. This is more like a light body spray than an edt. Definitely do not recommend.

Sweet peony that I am finding easier to wear than prior reviews might have lead me to believe–however, I would say that applying with a light hand might be better with this one. Very fresh and inoffensive in small doses.

Exactly what Ouch! said: too rosy, too sharp, not enough oomph in the drydown. I recommend wearing it for awhile because the beguiling scent they spray on the tissue paper in the store is not representative of the scent. It’s too top-heavy and a bit synthetic.

I totally agree with Ouch review below, he/she described the scent fairly well. I tried it last night along with so many L’Occitane fragrances & it smells very crisp fresh & clean & perfect for spring cool season. I’m offecially becoming a big fan of L’Occitane & their luxurious range of fragrances & toiletries. The fragrances don’t smell cheap or smell of alcohol or like something went off or anything like that. So many gorgeous scents at the store you can pick one or take them all if you got the cash cause they totally worth it.

Gorgeously fresh and bracing in the opening. A blast of citrus and crisp cool rose makes this feel icy and fresh. This is the kind of thing I’d like to make into a body mist in summer and keep it in the fridge.
The rose/peony combo becomes more prominent as the citrus backs off and I almost smell a grassy/mint tone coming through. It really makes it feel like a spring perfume and something quite natural. As sofii said, it also feels slightly aquatic.
I think it’s verging on being that bit too sharp for my tastes as I like things a bit more sensual but I still appreciate the feel of what this is supposed to be.
It’s just that bit toooooo rosy and sharp. The softer, more beautiful and delicate elements of rose aren’t present here, it’s more on the crystalline side.
I think it might be more pleasing to my nose if the musk and sandalwood were amped up a bit more in the drydown, it would have given this a bit more weight. But, I don’t think that was the point of what this was supposed to be, it’s just my selfish way of wanting to altering it. 🙂
Fresh, crisp..airy and pretty. It’s quite a simple scent, and not one I would run out and purchase.

Popped into airport L’Occitane and came out with a rollerball of Pivoine Flora. Not sure it smells exactly like peonies – I think they’re a little lighter and fresher and that’s why I prefer them to roses – but it does smell peony/rose like and that’s good enough. Not too loud and doesn’t stick around forever which suits my preferences for rosy scents. Blends v nicely with the remains of Eau des Merveilles Elixir.

I’ve had this fragrance for months and yet I still cannot determine if I like it or not. It’s staying power is light on my skin but the combination of peony, citrus, musk and rose does something to me that I can’t place. It is certainly unique to my typical perfume collection, and I can’t make myself trade or hand this bottle off to my mother in hopes she’d use it more than myself…but I still have it and use it from time to time. There’s something a little special in it, but test it yourself before committing.

Very feminine, and for an EdT it also has depth. Very flowery, tube-rosy, fruity and slightly musky, it smells like those beautiful, dark, pink rosa rugosa roses you find planted in scandinavian parks at summer.
A bit grown-up, peony, full, wine-rose – scent with little drydown as the scent just disappears after a while. It’s like it starts like the bottle, super feminine, mature, rose-peony-musk, bergamot scent that changes into a slightly calmer flower-fruity almost vanilla-like scent, and then it just sort of vanishes!
And it doesn’t matter a bit, it is so forgivable since the scent is complexe, 2 layered with depth, you just have to have a bottle in your purse – and refresh once in a while.
It smells like a mature, feminine woman in love, in a hot, damp summers rose field and with dreams and dimples and bare feet 🙂
Too fruity and summery for a cold , serene, nordic winter, but perfect for those long, neverending, bright summerdays – and nights up north…

A lovely, soft scent with green freshness and subtle aura of peony flower. Very elegant and feminine.

I really like this, for me it conjures up a country garden by the sea, roses and peonies and other warm florals, but the continued freshness that has an ozonic note to it. The dry down is soft but it still has that clean watery feel.
I love floral and aquatic scents for summer wear and this combines both oh so nicely.

This is The Fragrance of a peony garden. There are peony flowers everywhere. As the scent develops, the backdrop of rose petals is discernible. A radiant scent of feminine florals that’s airy and girly due to a dash of bergamot and citrus.
This is a delicate scent, suited for a little feminine girl. Although grass is not a note here, I distinctively smelt the scent of freshly cut grass 10 minutes after spritzing.
A fresh scent suited for daytime and especially hot weather.
I like this scent, but since I’m a tough female it’s just not my thang.
EDIT: Bought one for my mumma for Mothers’ Day.

this is a very nice scent.. floral but light and very feminine,, not a heavy floral at all. L, Occitane makes very good quality, natural scent thats unique and not so sickly compare to other high end brands that is so strong and expensive as well, love this product…….

I am male and I am a huge fan of the pivoine flora range at loccitane. So I thought I’d try this, wow I loved it straight away.especially when layered with the shower gel and body lotion. I don’t usually wear female scents, and my signature scent is Yves saint Laurent ‘l’homme’ but with this,on my skin,I get an opening of peony rose, but followed quickly by green grassy notes that dries down to a sandalwood and rose smell. This is why I wear it even though it is aimed at women, the sandalwood smell that developes on my skin and clothes is amazing. Last about 4 hours, arms length sillage. But if you like this please please DON’T try the eau de parfum, it is a,completely different smell and very disapointing.

Pivoine Flora EDT is tender, sweet, spring floral with aromatic green facets. Simply a feel-good fragrance that will brace you in its delicate natural green floral notes that get just a tad powdery towards the dry down.
Among all scents in the “spring peony/rose” category I tried, this one somehow stood out as the least artificial and sugary.
Although both EDP and EDT are very pleasant individual representations of the peony flower, I prefer the EDT over the perfume because it stays fresher and is greener, whereas the perfume is sweeter and woodier and frankly, I’m not that fond of the violet note in it. I don’t think the EDT lasts less than the perfume, it might even be the opposite. I am surprised that no green notes are listed for the EDT, as it has a mixture of cut grass and sweet dry hay tinted by soft, powdery and delicate peony and rose on a musky, yet clean base.
Although it is leafy and sweet as a real peony bud, Pivoine Flora is more like a floral bouquet rather than a peony solo act.
It evokes that elusive period when spring turns into summer – the air warming up and getting dense with flower pollen and the leafs on the trees starting to get a heavier shade of green.
I really like the Pivoine body lotion. Layered with the EDT it makes it last a bit longer. After the juicy green opening, sillage gets reserved fast. I find the staying power good for an EDT, I can still smell the base notes at the end of the day. Though I admit I like re-applying, I love the green top notes.

Not very strong but distintive. I love peony but I’m not getting a lot of peony in this, it’s more of a bouquet with a bit of a rose drydown. Smells a little stuffy in the begining and fresher in the drydown phase to me, I like it.

This fragrance was too mild for me, and if there is a peony in there somewhere (and I grow them so I do know), it certainly was elusive. All I got was a generic weak rose. Mild and wearable otherwise for everyday or at the office.

Like everyone else, I wasn’t sold at first spray in the store, but as I walked around to browse other products, this fragrance grew on me! I’m not good with notes, but what I like about it is the drying down. Now, 2 months later, I still can’t forget it, so I’m going to buy it!

This is quite unusual to me, as it smells like a mixture of roses and apple juice (yeah I have such a delicate nose). At first I didn’t like it, but it settles on the skin rather nicely and soon dries down to a soft floral musk, still with a hint of apple or something green.
Unlike other reviewers, I find the staying power excellent. The other day I applied it to my wrists at lunchtime; when I woke up the next morning I could still detect a tiny hint of it. Unusual and rather nice, but nothing I would put on my wish list.

This could be the most lady like fragrance I smelled recently. Certainly a combination of the young, fresh, modern, and Victorian.
I wish it could have more sillage and longevity as I’d expect from L’Occitane.
Something important is just missing. If it weren’t that something, Pivoine Flora could may well be a hit for me then.
Now unfortunately, I’d have to put this on the casuals shelve.

Cute, boring and pleasant literal floral. Nice for Summer fetes and garden parties at the Church Hall when you want to smell fresh and make no statement.

Fresh, light and flowery, a delicate smell of rose and peony; unfortunately the lasting power is not very good! but perfect for sunny days

Today I couldn’t get out of the L’Occitane shop without having this one sprayed on me by the shop assistant 😀
It starts out as a maybe nice rose. But now after wearing it 1h or so it’s almost greenish and I cannot detect the rose anymore. It’s also almost gone. The scent I perceived in the last hour was also more a green one, so it’s not my type and also not very “rosy”.

(Off topic, weird enough, Pivoine Flora is already on sale here in Melbourne in March while Fragrantica says it’s going to be out in May this year.)
Pivoine Flora starts with a seemingly monotone peony scent, while actually when I smell more analytically, there’s some fresh zesting citrusy smell there which lifts the scent up, and makes it quite ‘airy’ but not in a sheer way. The beginning has a really similar feel to Moschino I Love Love, but Pivoine Flora has a more fresh floral petals hint in it.
After about 10 minutes, the floral smell comes off stronger, and the citrusy smell barely there. The floral smell is quite peony, but more in a solid and sweet form, I find it somewhat lost the airy fresh nature spirit of peony, but not too bad since Pivoine Flora doesn’t have a big sillage, and when you are not directly sniffing yourself, the scent actually smell quite nice, as if it was a sweeter and more girly sister of Stella McCartney’s Stella, and weird(in a nice way tho) enough, it smell kinda like the dry down of Dior Addict 2 to me at this stage, the floral, a little bit soft powdery clean poeny smell with the citrusy hint.
Towards the dry down, Pivoine Flora is gets softer and flora, with a hint of echo-y fresh nearly ‘aquatic’ smell, but not the sports perfume aquatic smell, thank goodness; however I still find the typical watery -smell present in many L’Occitane rose or peony perfumes a tiny little bit synthetic sometimes.
Overall, Pivoine Flora is such a quiet and pretty perfume to wear, a typical L’Occicante perfume, and a nice fresh ‘rose’ perfume alongside with Stella McCatney’s. However, personally I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who’s searching for something special.
