This is another woodsy wonder from Solstice! Similar to Black Forest, but much more piney.I love the interplay of gourmand notes with the scents of nature and it’s something that Solstice does very well. Pinyon Truffle is very high quality and niche smelling, which is true for the other Solstice scents I own or have tried. The smell of pinyon is a very nostalgic childhood smell for me, I lived out in the woods of Southern Colorado as a kid and anytime I smell pinyon or ceder it takes me back to that time. I absolutely love this one and will be adding it to my collection as soon as I can 🙂

The opening is extremely coniferous. I’m talking sticking your nose into a bag of pine needles. However, good things come to those who wait – as soon as the greenery of pine dissipates a bit, the truffle actually starts appearing. If you’re mostly in for the gourmand aspect of this fragrance then there are other offerings of this house that cater more to you, I would say that this is more for the lover of all things mossy and foresty.

One of my favorites from Soltice Scents.
It starts off with the pinyon scent and it then fades into an amazing chocolate and vanilla scent.
