I purchased this perfume after reading and watching reviews about how amazing it is and let me tell you — this one is well worth every penny! I have the standard Pink Sugar as well as Simply Pink by Pink Sugar, but am not really a huge fan of the licorice “burnt” note that it contains. The Pink Sugar Luxury Extract makes you smell absolutely wonderful like cotton candy, strawberry and caramel goodness without that unwanted licorice smell at all. It also have a subtle powdery note that makes this scent feel very luxurious and high-end. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!

For lovers of Pink Sugar, you can get this Luxury Extract on EBay for under $30 + free shipping as of right now. I bought one for myself and just got it today. Dabbed some on and I actually think I like this more than the original. It has a strawberry cotton candy sweetness and the floral notes are soft and powdery. The burnt licorice note is barely present in this version so if you’re not a fan of the burnt sugar note in Pink Sugar, you will like this version better. This one is softer and more balanced than the original, less cloying and more subtle and airy. This one is fantastic if you found the original to be too much. Personally, I love the original, but this is a more palatable alternative.

I found this oil on eBay for a super reasonable price and after reading the reviews I wanted to get this. So glad I did because I love this oil! I actually like it better than the edt because it doesn’t have that burnt note. This is just pure caramel, cotton candy, sugar, and fruit I’m getting strawberries. I also enjoy how much this oil projects and it lasts! I would like to get a backup of this because I really enjoy this. This smells so yummy I love to wear this on cold days it smells so good when the weather is cool. I’m happy you can still find this as I think this is my favorite form of Pink Sugar. Love!

Gosh this is nice and comfy. I always thought of Pink Sugar as a comfort scent and this one is 100% comfort. It’s more dense and as many have detected without that peculiar burnt note. It has a somewhat oily consistency and is easy to dab on. I think that this mode of application also benefits the scent. A little on the nape of your neck and wrists and you’re good to go. The roll-on from the “regular” PS should also do the trick. I agree with the review of Norgirl below although I might add that the opening on me also consists of a lot of cotton candy! 🙂 Dry down is warm and jummy and to equal parts caramel, cotton candy and a mash-up of the rest of the notes! 😀 It’s also a tad powdery. Love this. There really is a Pink Sugar for everyone.
Edit: How could I forgot to mention the packaging. Fabulous! The bottle is glass and not plastic and the little plate around the neck is too cute. The box can also be used to store jewelry or something but I think I’ll keep it stored in it.

This is like a strawberry cotton candy version of the original. You still get that burnt licorice note upfront, but it dissipates rather quickly. I also get a strong coconut note, which I guess is supposed to be fig leaf, but that also dissipates quickly. Then you have a concoction of strawberry cotton candy, vanilla, and caramel that is pleasant enough, but it smells quite artificial. I think the drydown of the original Pink Sugar is a lot creamier and just smells better and more true-to-life in general. This was a blind-buy for me. Kinda wish I hadn’t. Then again I just bought it to wear when I take my daughter to the zoo, so I guess it will serve its purpose as a fun perfume…

Finding this one a little strange, no burnt notes, very smooth.. but the powdery fruit notes seem to be throwing me off.
Not sure how I feel about this one yet, may have this up for swap soon if I don’t warm up to it.. was looking for something a little more cotton candy-ish but am surprisingly not getting the classic Pink Sugar cotton candy vibe I get from the original. Hmph!
    Update 10/26:
Okay, totally loving this! Got over the fact that this is not Pink Sugar, but that it is its own scent. Like I said before, no burnt notes, so this comes off a lot softer and more floral with fruit. Still gourmand, still lovely! Glad I bought two of em 😉

There are bottles of this at Fragrancenet and on eBay (the Fragrancenet store there) right now. I had a gift card to use and bought this with it. The bottle is adorable and the scent is nice. It’s a rich and grounded version of PS. It is applied with the dabber from the glass bottle and I only used it on my left wrist because it was the only vacant spot at the time 😉 It is lovely! A more grown up version with a slight bubble gum hue. I really enjoy it but I can’t say that is soooo different from straight up PS that I’d recommend rushing out for it. But if you’re a collector or if you want a new bottle that’s different, go for it. Otherwise, the cheap version will work about the same! Just my opinion.

For those of you who are seriously looking for this, there are two on ebay right now. Kinda pricey, just thought I’d share.

Oh my God!!! I would absolutely love this I’m sure! I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it before. The original Pink Sugar is one of my all time favorite scents..my boyfriend loves it too. Everytime I wear it he asks if I’m baking something..lol…Anyway,this Luxury Extract Oil would be one of the ultimate finds if I could ever come across it.

I wish I could have found this somewhere – it seems that it just really came and went quickly. The only review I found for it was an old Nordstrom site one. The person who reviewed it was upset because the bottle was small – 1/2 ounce. But from what I understand, this is the pure essential oil blend that is used to make the perfume, so it’s extremely concentrated. With perfume oils, you only need a very small amount.
My guess is that most people didn’t really understand the use of an oil and didn’t give it a proper chance – too bad for us Sugar addicts 😉
