I find that the alcohol free body mist of this scent has a truer rose smell than the perfume… it also lasts forever. The body mist doesn’t have the sharpness of the perfume and it smells warmer. Give the body mist a try if you haven’t yet.

I am having a ‘rose’ moment (having never worn rose perfumes before) and recently bought this and the Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose. Both are lovely, but quite different. The Body Shop rose is light and pure. Doesn’t last long – maybe an hour or two, longer on clothing, and is more of a girly, feminine, pretty rose. Quite pure.
Persian Rose is the dirty older sister of the two. (Did someone say there is myrrh in it? That makes sense.) You could say Body Shop for daytime and Pacifica for evening, however if it’s a night in, I like to spritz the Atlas Mountain Rose early evening and it’s faded by bedtime. Persian Rose is a bit more ‘stimulating’ so it depends what you’re gonna do at bedtime!
Either way I’d recommend both, especially as they’re inexpensive, cruelty free and vegan. Also, neither of them are remotely ‘old ladyish’ (which I’ve heard some people mention when it comes to rose scents).

Pure clear red rose, a touch of myrrh and just a whisper of powdery violet. The essence of Pacifica Persian Rose is captured by The Soul of the Rose by John William Waterhouse. Just beautiful.

Persian Rose starts with an odd pinchy lime boozy bitter note, a bit scary. It dries down to a very sour smoky rose, like unburned rose incense, after a short time. The heavy rose incense smell (must be the myrrh) drapes around the wearer like a wool shawl, a wool shawl brought by an ancient female relative from the old country (Ireland in my case). Puts me in mind of old pictures from the Edwardian era, all sienna.
This is a heavy, serious rose scent, not light and fresh. Rose in its hour of darkness. Darker than oud roses (Clinique Beyond Rose, e.g.). Don’t let the hippie natural marketing fool you – Persian Rose is powerful, long lasting, and HEAVY. And to be candid, it smells more like geranium than rose for the most part, but geranium is an underappreciated scent that I happen to enjoy almost as much as rose.
My plan was for this to be a fresh, light June rose. Au contraire – this one gets saved for winter. For now I will stick with Tocca’s Bianca for a fresh summer rose.
Did I mention it is heavy? Great scent for winter.

Absolutely gorgeous deep red rose with some lime in the top notes. Unfortunately longevity is abysmal on me – it’s gone within an hour. I’ll probably keep it for a bedtime scent, when I don’t need it to last for hours.

First impressions: This perfume is pretty citrusy and sharp when first applied. The scent of lime remains throughout until the perfume has completely settled and dried. The rose is apparent from the beginning, and becomes more incense-like as it dries. This smells very similar to the Hem rose incense sticks I burn from time to time. It’s pleasant in the form of incense, but I’m not sure I enjoy it as much as a fragrance.

I have Persian Rose in body butter. I love it so much! <3
It means so much to me that Pacifica are animal lovers and cruelty free <3
    A poem for Persian Rose:
    A lone red rose
You left it for me on my favorite rock.
As I sat and inhaled it, my heart filled with bliss.
A lone big gentle red rose, you cradled it in a bath of lemon juice ,1 drop of sugar and 2 drops of resin oil
A big gentle red rose warmed by the sunlight
I caress the velvet petals in my hand
I feel your love today transferred to be by this big gentle red rose. <3

This smelled way more like limes to me than rose. I got compliments on it and everyone mentioned smelling roses, so I guess that’s what it smelled like from several feet away. But for me, the person wearing it, it was lime juice and lime rind and making margaritas.
Still on the hunt for a perfect rose scent. It might be Stella McCartney for me…

Just a big succulent bouquet of roses & Turkish Delight ! Smells very similar to the sweeties ! A very pretty scent . Very strong and lasting !

Enveloping, warm, dusty rose. A beautiful ode to the Persian empire and the beloved, symbolic bloom. It goes on with a touch of lemon, and then heats into a resinous, incensey rose, with an intoxicating headiness, completely unlike white florals but with a rivaling narcotic bliss. It’s neither particularly clean nor dirty. It is entirely its own, a work of art.
Overall, Persian Rose is not complex, but it’s so graceful and elegant. Heavy but never overwhelming, it is an old soul to be sure – this is no contemporary fragrance – and it whispers with an undercurrent of spirituality to it born of the origins of the scent in ancient Persian poetry. It is exquisite, and inexpensive, at that.

The little brand from the Pacific Northwest has done it again…managed to impress me far beyond some of the high end brand names that cost hundreds of $$$$. Such a lovely and unique rose that I am going to enjoy wearing during the winter months…
I see this rose as a deep rich red velvety smokey rose that after a while sweetens thanks to the fruits with a powdery touch when violet enters. Persian rose is a very regal, lovely expensive smelling little perfume that lasted all day and gave me much pleasure as I went about my chores…very good longevity and left a lovely aura around me…I love this little rose a new favorite! Beautiful…
This one is fit for a queen in castle high on a hill…

    This is beautiful.
I have a tiny sample and here are my impressions as I’ve worn this applied to wrists and throat:
When it first hits the skin – lemon pudding, sprinkled with lemon sherbet, and real rose, the smell when you put your nose to a rose.
Then, develops into ‘Taif Rose’ – which I’m judging from having tried (and hated, but wait) Al-Rehab Taif Rose recently – but without the screeching and unbearable ?eugenol which that has.
Then, Persian Rose becomes incense-like and very beautifully BALMY – the myrrh I presume?
I don’t get any ‘fruit’ apart from lemon, or any violet at all.
I was wearing this when I opened the oven earlier, to take or some hot food, and the waft of this perfume that rose in the heat – oh!
Big bottle going on my wishlist.

Bought this lovely frag at Ulta last week, and it is making a GREAT work/daytime scent.
If one could bottle the scent of the delectable rosewater infused pastries and baklava from the plethora of local Mediterranean/Lebanese bakeries here , this would be it.

I’m on the hunt for my favorite rose, and this one is close! There is a varietal of white hybrid tea rose called Sugar Moon, which possesses a characteristic sugared-lemon blast that so far I have found Persian Rose to replicate EXACTLY, much to my newfound pleasure! This is a deeply sweet, yet sunny rose that absolutely blooms in warmer weather, with judicious application. I detect zero violet, but definitely get the myrrh during that resinous, incense-y drydown – and I think I prefer it that way. Absolutely delicious.

This is the freshest fragrance I’ve ever had. There is nothing about it that’s artificial, or “old.” Green, yet sweet, it envelopes me in pure tea rose, citrus fruit, and a hint of myrrh…not just for a few hours, but all day. This brings me back to my great grandmother’s home in Canada, with her beautiful gardens. I loved breathing in the roses on a spring day. I have received many compliments on this fragrance. Just be careful not to use this too heavily. A couple of sprays will get you noticed by anyone nearby.

Rose Tea With lemon. It’s a citrusy rose.. soft, with bit of sweet . But it doesn’t last long at all. Its ok I liked it better before, I purchased it. Before purchased it was sweet rose essential oil. Now,I’m getting lemon tea with hints of rose. While it is a rose scent the lemon notes, just dont sit well with me. I find myself never in the mood to wear it anymore.I’m currently using it as, a room and pillow spray. I hate I’m using it that way. Because it was a bit pricey for the size but, think it works best that way.

Can’t speak to the enjoyability of the fragrance, but this is the worst scent I have ever found in a candle. Before lighting–heaven, an exotic twist on an oldie-but-goodie. After lighting–profoundly bitter, almost antiseptic smell. So I’d be afraid to try this perfume.

I do love a good rose perfume but I sometimes find rose – soliflores especially- a bit too melancholy. I hate to say this, but they sometimes make me sad. I have to say that this is a happy rose, sparkling, full of life. What works for me is to later this on top of a glorious body lotion. I am currently using Mazzolari’s Elena as a base for this and Persian Rose leaps off it like a charm!

  19. :

    5 out of 5

I do wish I smelled the incense and smoke purportedly in this!
So far, Persian Rose smells to me like a very good soliflore along the lines of Al Rehab Istanbul Rose. Which is to say, citrus opening and straight-up rose heart. (Though I believe the Istanbul has more of a geranium leaning…) Longevity is quite decent and development linear and pretty.
I always want to layer this kind of rose with something else, since it feels a little ‘thin’ and unfinished on its own. Voila, look no further than the Pacifica Vanilla. They are excellent together. 🙂
Summary: Not bad at all! I will update if further spraying brings more notes to my attention.

My favourite rose perfume of all – and I love many! Such a fabulous, exotic, smoky, deep rich rose. Perfection!

I LOVE this scent. I’m usually not a big florals fan, but this is a perfect balance of floral and fruit. The sillage and longevity is impressive too. I can easily smell it on myself with just a few sprays. I put it on six hours ago and it’s still going strong!
I wish the bottle came with a cap, I’d be afraid to travel with it, but I guess that’s what rollerballs are for anyway.

This is the Rose of my dreams. It’s is sweet, deep and powdery. It’s starts off with a lemony kind of blast, which I tolerate, but some mayreally enjoy. I personally do not like citrus in my fragrance. But not to worry, because it is fleeting, dissipating with in a minute, only to reveal the most gorgeous of roses, which is what will remain for the rest of the wear. I say that I don’t mind, because I truly believe the citrus that is present in the beginning is essential to the dry down, to leave you with the perfect fragrance that is Persian Rose. Elegant, mysterious, yet innocent.

I first purchased the lotion and a small amount spilled on my comforter. It filled my room with a lovely zesty rose scent. I was enchanted and decided to purchase the fragrance to compliment the body lotion. The fragrance was a huge miss for me. The citrus note is very screechy and it overpowers the whole fragrance. I will be passing this along to someone else and will continue to enjoy the body lotion.

Got my 1 oz. bottle of this beautiful fragrance, today. Have been wanting this since testing it last year at my local grocery store. This is another Pacifica perfume that stays true to its name, Persian Rose. It’s deep, crisp, and inviting. Makes you wanna keep smelling the inside of your arm where you just sprayed. One word: Fabulous!!

This smells exactly like the huge, fuchsia pink, fruity smelling roses that grow in the Pacific Northwest. Excellent. Also makes an excellent layering fragrance.

Woof. Rosey at the start, then degrades into acrid, burning citrus.

Persian Rose is an Oriental fragrance of a rose sweetly incensed with myrrh. It smells like a less intense and more wearable Sa Majeste La Rose by Serge Lutens and also has some qualities similar to Calligraphy Rose. If you’re familiar with Oriental roses, they’re smoky roses, dark roses, with a balance between sweetness and warmth, deep, rich, creamy, full bodied and strong. This is very beautiful. The fruit notes are mostly citrus but they’re hardly strong enough for this to become a fruity floral. This is mostly a deep red rose next to incense and both scents are blending well together. I find it very appropriate as a formal evening cologne. It wears better in the winter time. Gorgeous.

She is the ingenue who eventually becomes Queen. This rose is the most subtle, enticing Rose that begins with a citrus note then dries down to a powdery Victorian Rose. She is not abrasive nor overtly dominating, but one who rules with the firm hand of diplomacy. She is balanced in her judgement, and kindness is a natural part of her character.
She is not cloying nor saccharine, candy is not the flavor of the month. She is elegance and audacity, honoring the historical precedents that have come before her.
As with all Pacifica perfumes, the scent is au naturel, there is nothing toxic nor inflammatory about her scent- although the packaging leaves a little to be desired, this is a classic rose hidden in a little hippie bottle from somewhere in California.

On my skin this is really overwhelming lemon, with a little bit of rose in the background. Totally not what I was expecting and not what I wanted.

I am closing in on completing my Pacifica collection. I have about 80% of them now- not counting the discontinued ones of course.
Just got this today – 20 minutes ago!
Nice combo of rose and myrhh gives this a “haunting” quality rather than a “pretty” quality. Unique!
Longevity seems better than most Pacificas but either way – the re-fresh spray hits the spot on a dreary day !
There are a few new Pacificas out now — so one wonders; which older frags will be discontinued ???????????

This scent is fresh, citrusy, and rosey. It’s very different than just a flat floral because it has such an evigorating citrus splash to it. Very lovely. It’s pretty strong, so I think it’s pretty good at lasting.
Edit: while I do like this scent, after wearing it all day i’ve decided it isn’t for me. The part of the scent that I find to be very “fresh” is far too strong. I wish I knew what it was and how to describe it. Sort of dryer sheet-ish. It smells really good, actually, I think it’s just very strong for me personally.

Sorry to all the lovers of this scent, but I really disliked this one. The notes sounded amazing but all I got was burning citrus. Not a deep smoky burn but a screechy, acidic smelling burn.I had to wash this off I’m afraid.

I adore this scent! I bought a vial of this to wear the first time I held my son after giving birth. Now the bold, powdery, florid rose scent transports me back to that precious, unrepeatable moment. The rose here is a joyful-rose, which I think is quite rare. I find other rose-dominated frags e.g. Inis Arose, etc. to be more of a watery and faint “sad-rose”. Persian Rose is powdery but not soft, thanks to the violet/myrrh combo. The fragrance is bodacious, long lasting and distinctive. I will remember it for the rest of my life.

Grabbed this at Whole Foods yesterday – WOW! The single tester spray lasted awhile (4-5 hrs) before I was tempted to respray, just to catch that opening again. This is a very unique Rose scent in my collection. The leomony-Rose opening is INTOXICATING! I received a few compliments during my test run of it :). Rose seems to work very well with my chemistry. The dry-down is so pleasant and delightful. The Rose is smooth and fresh. The myrhh is slightly detectable…I think it’s was balances out the Rose from being too overpowering. I sprayed 2 sprays on my wrists just now, and the room is filled with this beauty ;). Highly recommended. Can’t wait to try more of Pacifica scents!

Versatile with decent silage and lasting power, Persian Rose is well worth the buy. Lovely by itself, a beautifully done rose with nuances of violet and incense, and a hint of sweetness. Mixed with Kuumba Made’s Amber Myrrh, it becomes a mystical, sacred rose powerhouse with strong hints of creamy chocolate.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Very strong smell, too sweet for me. I’d prefer a fresh and light rose smell instead. If you like sweet concentrated flower smells, you’ll like this perfume, it’s very long lasting (up to 3 days if you spray it on a clothes or hair).

  38. :

    5 out of 5

On my skin, this starts out like a powdery rose version of Mrs. Myers Geranium liquid cleaner. The citrus evaporates quickly and then it becomes a lot less punchy, eventually drying down to a very powdery but still bright rose.
Out of the bottle it’s much more energetic and youthful than it is on my skin, but it’s a comforting scent and smells more soft retro than old lady on me.
A good scent for warm sunny days.

  39. :

This came to me as a gift and I am so grateful. I’m not so much into pure florals, but this is an exception. It opens with a syrupy sweet rose in full bloom, and from there, softens to a dark and sweet yet powdery incense on me.
It’s great on its own, but I enjoy this most when I layer it over Lush’s Karma – the patchouli and orange really bring out the dark sweetness of the rose, and add to the smokiness. Someone told me one day that I smelled like the Dubai Mall, which I took as a high compliment! This is a true Middle Eastern rose, mature and full-bodied. Of the Pacifica collection I’ve smelled, I find it to be the most true to its name. It smells exactly the way you’d expect Persian Rose to smell – exotic, pure, evocative, and inviting.

  40. :

I want this simply because I am half Persian aha. Love the notes!

  41. :

    3 out of 5

By the notes in this perfume, I really should have loved it. But to my nose, Persian Rose smells just like rose potpourri from the 80s, or as poivrerose noted below, those little ornamental rose shaped soap bars. In fact when I sniff Persian Rose it transports me back to childhood when both of my grandmothers kept a bowl of those rose shaped and scented soaps in their bathrooms. Soaps you never actually used but were just there for decoration and scent; I can nearly feel the waxy smooth texture when inhaling this perfume! So Pacifica Persian Rose does bring back nostalgic memories for me, but it’s not a perfume I particularly wish to smell like. I prefer to apply Body Shop’s Atlas Mountain Rose.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

I got a lot of compliments wearing this. It’s a warm, spicy rose fragrance – reminds me a little of oud but less smoky

  43. :

    5 out of 5

When first sprayed, its sourness is strong, but that blends back into the rose after a few minutes.
The scent, for me, is spot on: loomi and rosewater. Loomi (or Black lime) is a Persian dried and fermented lime. They are sour and smoky; earthy and citrusy; utterly unique. They’re a necessary seasoning in all sorts of Persian food and drink.
I suppose that the smoky myrrh and citrus fruit notes are causing that loomi smell, and I wonder if it was, at all, intentional. Black lime and rose are both such quintessentially Persian scents and flavors.
This is not a powdery French rose. Persian Rose lives up to it’s name, with the sweet rose taking the center stage, and exotic black lime drifting though it.
Loomi can be soaked in water with sugar to make a “lemonade” type beverage, sometimes with a splash of rosewater, and this perfume instantly takes me back to sipping that beverage in a favorite Iranian cafe… I can’t help but love it.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Way too citrusy for me. Rose is one of my favorite scents but I like rose scents that are pure, powdery, soft. This was really sharp and citrusy, not pleasant to my nose.

  45. :

When I was first learning to meditate, a wise teacher taught me that often the simplest things are the most powerful. I know that is true of this beautiful perfume in the humblest, simplest bottle. This is a straight-forward rose scent, for those times when nothing but simple, pure, fresh roses will do. It has depth, but its strength lies in its simplicity. I have quite a few rose scents in my collection, but none that I love quite as much as this one.
I was expecting quite a lot from this scent that so daringly calls itself Persian Rose. I think that the Persian and the Mexican cultures have the highest regard for roses, and give them their appropriate adoration. Both cultures use roses extensively in every day life, in cooking and eating, gifts, adornment, medicine, beautification, decoration, bathing, celebrations, and even in religious ceremonies. Infact, one of the many names for Mother Mary, the mother of God, is the “Mystic Rose”.
I have seen beautiful rose gardens around the world, but the “Holy Grail” for me would be to see the rose gardens in Damascus, the oldest city in the world, the first to cultivate roses and master the use of their scent, but because of the political climate I may never get there in my lifetime. As usual, Pacifica has transported me instantly to the streets of Damascus, where I can feel like the main subject in one of Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema’s paintings, and all I have to do is close my eyes and inhale. Thank you, Pacifica.

The most wonderful Rose concentrated perfume ever made.
Pacifica Persian rose smells like the center of the velvelty petals of the rose with a slight fresh citrus touch. This scent puts me in a good mood enough to be my 5th Signature scent!

I bought several of the Pacifica sample solid perfumes, and while I usually quite enjoy smelling the sprays and roll-ons by this company, most of the solids were very disappointing and smelled nothing like their liquid counterparts.
With the exception of Persian Rose. I wear this solid all the time and for such a basic scent, I find it really appealing and it holds my interest for a long time. A lovely rose that sidesteps the stereotypical antiquity and fuddy-duddy-ness of it’s lineage.

  50. :

This is an interesting rose fragrance. In the beginning I strongly sense the sweet mhyrr and a lemon rind essense. Then the rose note powers through and the sweet mhyrr all but disappears. The rose note is sharp but not to the point of being unbearable. It is natural smelling – just quite potent. I really do sense a lot of citrus here though -maybe a hair too much. It’s notably sour, and it is also a particularly soapy essense. It smells how you would expect a pretty ornamental rose bar soap to smell, or a frilly lace and ribbon laden sachet. I’m interested to do some layering with this scent – possibly with the lilac, or perhaps the sandalwood or mexican cocoa. It needs some softening and a bit of depth. However it does soften a bit in the dry down – the rose becomes a dried rose and the citrus adds the freshness. It is mainly a lemon rose fragrance, and it has an antiquity about it. Not in an unpleasant way, just a definitive way. It definitely has power too – not your shy soft powdery rose.

This fragrance does not have a lot of depth and doesn’t really stand out, however it’s a good rose for the price. This is more of a tart or green rose.

  52. :

    5 out of 5

This is a wonderful scent, but personally it lacks depth. Dreamy, warm, quiet and vivid, it should be layered with a sexy personal scent like an amber/jasmine/wood.

Persian Rose Perfume Spray is a very strong pure natural rose fragrance, warm, uplifting, and very spicy. The spices in this one are NOT deep and dark like incense……the myrhh here is more like a sparkly mix of cloves and cinnamon. The citrus fruits give this one a crispy, bright fresh note, but the fruits do not envelop the rose. Violet is not easily detected, so it seems to be there only to smooth and soften the citrus fruits. Not powdery, not sultry, not dark or intense. Just a pure rose scent with spices added for sparkle.
Longevity is at least 12 hours on skin, clothing and hair. Silage is great, and lasting. A tiny bit of Persian Rose goes a long way. It’s just beautiful !

Spicy, citrussy rose. Mostly, lots of roses in here.
It dries down to soapy rose scent.
Name suitable. Got 3 hours out it.

  55. :

    3 out of 5

Its very pretty, can bloom quite large in the heat and is great twist on a classic rose scent with the added citrus note. Longevity is about 4-5 hours.
I don’t find it much in common with Une Rose except the fact they both happen to be rose scents. Une rose is extremely dark and has dirt and wine dregs; certainly quite a femme fatal, whereas this one is actually quite a sunny rose.
Both however are full and lovely in their own way.
So from that perspective and though I love them both, I can see getting much more wear from this than Une Rose.
BTW, based on the sample, I did go out and buy a full bottle!
    Thanks Amy777 for the sample.

My favorite rose scent of all time. It’s young, rich, slightly spicy and lasts forever! I find it quite strong, so I spray in moderation. The matching body butter and shower gel are just as wonderful. The roll-on perfume also lingers for a while and fills a room just by lightly dabbing on skin. Strong stuff!

    Realistic rose!
Do not be turned off by the intial spray , just wait a sec. it drys down quite beautifully
Usually Stella is my favorite Rose perfume, but NOW, this one makes a wonderful addition

Hey, hey – not bad at all. I’m very surprised by this one too. Many, if not all, of the Pacifica perfumes (to my nose) smell either nothing like their namesake, are poorly/roughly blended and scratchy (looking at you in particular, Tibetan Mountain Temple) or have a nice opening that fades far too quickly and becomes thin and wan.
This rose, however, is really what it says it is. Smells natural, has a lovely bit of myrrh and amber to back it up (I could swear I catch a touch of vanilla too) and would be just perfect with a drop of aged, wine-like patchouli. It also has a surprisingly good amount of sillage and longevity. Best, it doesn’t offend my fragrance-sensitive co-worker either, since I’ve subjected to her to a LOT of strong stuff (look at my wardrobe).
I might even buy another bottle and add a touch of patchouli, a smidgen of Firmenich Oud blend and a wee bit of Animalis from Synarome and see if I can create a budget Montale style rose oud.

This is gorgeous! Persian Rose is an amazing natural rose scent. I actually wasn’t expecting to be blown away by this one. I’m a little fussy about rose in a perfume – sometimes it can come across as too powdery, too soapy, too stuffy for my taste. But here it is dewy, velvety and luscious. The intensive rose note is there throughout the full development of the fragrance.
In the beginning, the fruity notes help to amplify the delicate sweetness of the rose. I get the sense of juicy mandarin and perhaps some lush, tart berries. I don’t get the violet coming through that strongly. It shows up to add a hint of soft powder in the heart notes, but it’s the least noticeable note in the composition. The myrrh works wonderfully. It emerges in the drydown, and gives off a sourish-earthy scent reminiscent of crisp-green rose stems and fresh soil. This fragrance strikes me as a very high quality scent, especially so considering the low price point. This is one of the best Pacifica perfumes I’ve tested yet..and so far it’s my favourite floral scent from the line.

If you are a rose scent lover as I am, then I encourage you to try Persian Rose! I was looking for a natural smelling rose, and I found it! I prefer this perfume to most other rose fragrances available. When it is first sprayed, I get a wine-like opening note on some occasions and a lemon-rose scent on other days. While it is drying, the myrrh gets heady and sometimes overpowers the rose, depending on how warm I am at the time. I think body heat brings out the myrrh more on a warm day. The roses lean to the Hawaiian Punch side on cool days but they are deeply pure rose on warm days. When I’m quite warm and I apply it, I am amazed that I won’t smell any lemon at all, but on a cool day I will smell quite a bit of lemon along with the rose.
I have a rose garden with some forty rose varieties in it, and I am impressed at how close Persian Rose by Pacifica comes to a myrrh scented variety I have by the name of Distant Drums. If you are not aware that roses come in a myrrh scented version, you might take a look at Distant Drums. It’s a great bloomer and grower and I find the scent of its flowers quite mesmerizing!

    Incredible!
Do you ever wish you could smell as sweet as a red rose, so that others passing by would sniff you?
I do, and this is true to life!
I have never smelled a rose fragrance that is so simple and yet so alluring. No synthetic smell here.
It makes you feel precious, and whenever I wear it, it almost feels spiritual, as if I am being enlightened to look at life as more beautiful than ever.
    I highly recommend it.

I was trawling the net looking my next perfume fix when I came across Persian Rose by Pacifica. I have to admit Persian Rose was a curiosity buy mainly made to explore a Vegan product. It’s a direction I haven’t gone in before but as an animal lover it was appealing.
I have to add this wasn’t expensive and I was so prepared for a huge disappointment but upon first spray wow I was really pleasantly surprised. I immediately got a lovely opening of bright punchy notes, fruity and spicy and then a lovely deep mix of heady sweet rose surrounded by a sea of Myrrh. The Violet wasn’t really detectable but hey this is all about the rose so I didn’t mind. Persian Rose isn’t a complex masterpiece by any means but it does have a lot going for it. It’s very affordable, it’s extraordinarily lovely with a real Persian feel to it, it’s Vegan, it has good silage and longevity (not always the case with rose fragrances) and finally, I agree with another reviewer if you labelled this Montale it might just get under the radar!
Oh recently I tried Juliette Has a Gun, Lady V and I have to say this beats that hands down. Lady V ran for the hills when on me and left the building in about 10 minutes flat, this one at least hung around for the day which was definitely a plus as my skin tends to eat perfume at a rate of knots! Well done Pacifica!

To me this is a cheaper version of Une Rose from Frederic Malle. I get the same earthy, mushroomy smell. I do not get any violets or powder.
I think it is closer to Tea Rose then Lipstick Rose.
It smells a lot more natural than the latter one.

I like Pacifica’s version of the classic rose. It does have a slightly fruity quality and it’s definitely not an old, powdery Victorian rose. The other notes only add to the rose scent, not detract from it. It’s very nice for layering with other Pacifica fragrances, like Spanish Amber.
I wore it when I got my hair done, and my hairdresser (a man) couldn’t stop complimenting me on it.

I tried a few fragrances from Pacifica (again) during my grocery shopping and this one stands out the most this time. It’s a very simple scent and very rosey. It’s not too sweet, not too strong. It’s romantic and dreamy actually. I also get a bit of citrus as well; making the scent bright and uplifting. I agree with the previous member’s comment about lipstick, powdery rose accord. It can be a bit soapy after a while but it doesn’t bother me. I still think this is a very nice scent. Another good one for wedding day, I think.
