I bought the body mist version of this because I love violet candies and I was curious about iris. Well, the incredible sweetness of the violet combined with the powdery iris and white musk choked me in a cloud of candied baby powder. Even then, I could have handled it and kept this as a seasonal or novelty scent, except for the longevity predicament. As dense and thick as the opening was, in an hour or two the entire scent would be gone. I am not comfortable reapplying a scent 5 times a day, especially if I don’t enjoy that initial hit of fragrance. So I had to give it away.

Caramel + vanilla + iris + lavender?. It’s quite expensive but smells cheap (strong alcohol note after spraying). Sweet, uncomplicated, reminds me some Avon’s cream or body lotion.
Periwinkle in the name and notes? – it must be a joke because periwinkle is completely scentless!
There was another Embrace in my shop:
“Embrace French Lavender Tuberose” which is similar, also very sweet and not my fav. It smells like vanilla + lavender, without tuberose.
All Embraces are sweet, cheap and chemical. I think Marigold Gardenia and Green Tea Pear Blossom are the best.

I didn’t know what to expect from this one, but I seem to be in a Vera Wang-loving-and-buying craze currently, so I decided I would take a chance and blind buy. Oh.My.Word! From the first spritz, my mood lifts! The fragrance is more beautiful than I would have guessed, since I don’t know what periwinkle or iris smell like. At first, I get a big shot of vanilla. I like vanilla, but it isn’t usually my favorite note. No so here, however, because the robust vanilla is right away mingling with the scent of fresh flowers. I don’t how to describe it other than if you can imagine the best vanilla scent you’ve experienced and add it to light, fresh, sweet (but not cloying) floral notes. Pure heaven to me! I am only disappointed in its longevity. I don’t notice it on my skin after a couple of hours. I am alone a lot of the time, so it is possible that if I wore this around others they would still smell the fragrance on me longer than I can/do, but as for myself, this fades to a barely noticeable skin scent after a couple of hours. Sillage is medium for me. Even so, I plan to keep a bottle of this beauty in my permanent collection. I bought the 1 ounce bottle I have 3 weeks ago and it is already 25% gone. Looks like I’ll be purchasing another bottle in the very near future.

While I love the idea that I come across undiscovered perfumes from Vera Wang I somehow dislike that they are available absolutely EVERYWHERE – I mean I`ve been to a few pharmacies recently and there they were in front of the cashier..in each and every pharmacy! This could mean good and bad..
As for the scent itself all I get is iris and a bit of violet, heavily powdered. I think bergamot too, but I can`t seem to detect any other notes at all although I must say I can`t say I`ve ever smelled periwinkle – at least I can`t remember..I must agree that there is a kind of synthetic vibe going on in this composition, yet you`ll still find it charming if you`re any bit of a fan of iris and powder. This is that, only a different take.
It lasts and lasts – this part actually surprised me as it didn`t come across as something that would, especially that there is a body splash made too for all three scents. So, again, it does tick the box for longevity.
Something about it reminds me terribly of something I`ve used in my teens, could be certain notes from Oriflame Volare..
Not a scent I would fall in love with but if I got a bottle as a present I would definitely not pass it on. I think it could be lovely for springtime and early summer days too, or the coldest days of winter.

I tried Periwinkle & Iris mainly because of the highly voted whipped cream note, even though iris perfumes aren’t really my style. I thought this might be a nice twist on the cool powdery floral notes. Well, while there is a creamy vanilla note, it is not extremely creamy or realistically like whipped cream to me. It just keeps the fragrance from being a powder bomb, though it does become more powdery in the drydown. I have no idea what periwinkle might smell like, but I agree iris and violet are very prominent here.
This is a cute little floral fragrance, quite sweet and not comparable to more mature lipstick or powder fragrances. I don’t really understand why some think this smells so cheap, it’s not scratchy or messy or anything else I would perceive as cheap. It’s a soft scent with okay longevity and weak projection, and to be honest, a bit boring to me. If you like powdery purple florals, it might be a nice choice for casual occassions, otherwise, it’s nothing special.

On me, the opening is very sweet. Honestly, it smells cheaper than it is. It smells like these cheap fragrances from dupe brands, not like a designer perfume. Later, it gets a bit powdery, but the powder is really very shy. The sweetness tones down, but never really leaves. Smells a bit immature too. The smell is not bad, but i wouldn’t really recommend this fragrance. You can find better stuff for this price.

Artificial, sharp, and nauseating. Headache-inducing. Cheap like a perfume Mattel would make for Barbie. I can’t pick out any notes because it’s just so overwhelmingly synthetic like the very worst air freshener that breathing in makes me cringe. The only good thing I can say is that it will last forever; I have washed my wrists twice and scrubbed them with rubbing alcohol and I can still smell it.

I’ve wanted this for a couple years. I tested once and fell in love. I never paid much attention after that first few seconds. I assumed it light, but not lasting. I thought it was just too expensive for the tiny bottle of non-lasting scent.
I read reviews that said it DID last. Thinking I may have judged a bit too quickly, I tried it again. To my surprise, I had to have it immediately!
Iris is a bit of a cool scent to many. Not so much for me. This is kinda snuggly and warm to me. I smell ORCHID. A lot of musk. Sweetness!
This is light enough for summer, and comfy enough for sweaters and snow! I bought two! And it might not end my love affair. I love violet and was planning on a HUGE soft fluffy violet in this. I don’t seem to get it. Maybe if someone else had it on, I might smell more violet. Maybe I will smell more violet later on? Doesn’t matter…this a must have for me. This is a youthful, soft, tender, motherly, kind hearted Neutrogena commercial mom/model.
This is a heavenly puff of actress…Jennifer Garner?
This lasts above average for me. And what I find even more important, the 6 or so hours it lasts…it’s quite strong! Not overly strong at all. Don’t be afraid. Everyone will LOVE that they can smell your perfume. Few perfumes I can smell on myself after an hour. If I do, I’m pretty sure I’ve over sprayed. Not this one!
I love this bottle also. It’s just so cute! It’s plain, nothing much really, but I love that silver and blue together. Buy yourself a little bottle of Christmas winter blue sky and sparkling silver ornament stars.

Bummed! I have wanted to try this for a while and this evening I got the chance. Only VERY sweet violet on me. So disappointed! I love the name and the bottle and color are super cute, but on me it smelled like violet candy and upholstery cleaner. I LOVE Prada and had such high hopes, but I have a hard time with most violet dominant scents and this one is no exception.

Vera Wang Embrace Periwinkle & Iris is delicate, powdery, sweet. Soft and feminine, the fragrance is sheer and elegant, a superb example of a violet and/or iris perfume. She is beautifully simple in composition and affect, refined and elegant. The quality of this fragrance belies the asking price.
    Scent: 8/10 beautiful!
Longevity: soft to moderate (up to several hours on well-moisturized skin, longer on clothing and hair).
Sillage (projection): Soft to moderate at best depending on application.
If you love violet and/or iris, this one is a “must smell”.
I love VWP&I and am very glad that this is now in my wardrobe.
I would highly recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves Maison Martin Margiela’s Replica Lipstick On but find it too costly; Vera Wang Embrace Periwinkle & Iris isn’t a dupe, but similar enough that this one may serve as a good surrogate to satisfy that craving for soft, powdery iris. ♥

Periwinkle and Iris reminds me of the blueprint of a Victoria’s Secret perfume [especially Tease Flower]; there is a combination of sweeter notes here, and they begin to develop more or less immediately upon application. However the sweeter notes are mild and the cream and light fruits gives the mix a airy and sweet-but-fresh sense of sugar water and milk, rather then being a syrupy jumble.
The Periwinkle and iris are the stars of the show here – I say stars, but the floral notes share the airy vibe that the fruity and sweet notes do, so there aren’t any louder ‘look at me’ scent notes in this perfume. I can separate the violet and what I think is freesia and/or peony, although the jasmine doesn’t stand out to me. I think that there are some clean floral notes present underneath the listed notes, but I can’t say for sure what they are, as they are so subtle. If I had to guess I’d go for the one’s commonly found in ‘clean’ fragrances – orange blossom, heliotrope, and neroli.

All of these Vera Wang scents are cute. I have the Rose and Vanilla one and this one. I get orris, powdery purple iris candy a bit of old fashioned ladies face powder. Reminds me of an Edwardian lady’s vanity. I would wear thus in very early spring up to easter. Its a pretty color. Its not an overly sweet scent.
I love the color and I’ve never had any iris perfumes so I enjoy the different, colder feel of these notes. Rose and vanilla is warm and golden, periwinkle and iris is cold and silver.

Thought I had written a review of this delightful scent weeks ago….. And now I find a host of delightful reviews that say very much what I would have done.
    Kudos, friends!
Of the many excellent write ups, my thoughts align most perfectly with exciter76’s review. 🙂 Periwinkle and Iris is such a SIMPLE scent, isn’t she? But I just can’t help feeling Great when wearing this powdery Iris beauty! Yes, a perfect beginner’s introduction to Iris. There’s also a refined sort of Bath and Body Works vibe here. The basic goodness (perhaps courtesy of all that glorious powder and nothing fruity?) seems a notch above B & B W, while being in the same ‘cozy, simple, happy, likable’ category as the best of theirs.
So perfect is Periwinkle Iris for bed and bath time that I find myself using the body spray (which is quite affordable and available at Walmart) IN the bath! Lavishing hot running water with 10-20 spritzes of your favorite body spray gives a lovely ambiance of scent to any bath ritual, and nothing could be more perfect for scented clouds of steamy goodness than Periwinkle Iris. It’s a bed time dream come true for me, literally.
Oh, and did I mention *complements*?! I so rarely receive complements for anything I wear, yet people around me love Periwinkle Iris’s comforting & somehow elegant simplicity.
    Five Stars <3

Another winner in this collection. I love it! I really notice the jasmine in it. It’s sweet and feminine. The whole collection is really nice. It’s one of my favs.

Vera Wang did everything right with this. I purchased the 3 rollerball set and I just knew that rose buds and vanilla would be my favorite one but I was wrong. I’m not familiar with Iris or periwinkle but I love it in this fragrance. I immediately purchased the 1 ounce after getting the roller ball. I’m just upset that this doesn’t come in a larger size because I would definitely buy it.

  17. :

This is powdery, iris(which I think is powdery itself anyway)& creamy. Like other reviewers said this is a comforting scent. Its like casual daytime in spring or summer perfume. I think some of the reviewers may have been expecting something complex but its a simple, comforting daytime scent. I will rebuy and want to try the others now. The longevity is very good. I keep catching whiffs of myself.
The only negative I can put to it is that its not worth $29 for 1 ounce, which is what it sells for in most stores. Definitely try to find it at a TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

  18. :

    5 out of 5

I just picked this up (gift set with lotion and shower gel) for 9.99 at TJ Maxx. I have to say that on the initial spray, I didn’t like this at all. It was harsh to me. I thought for sure, that was it, I wouldn’t be using it again. After a while though, I’d say a good 15-20 minutes, it softened up and bloomed in my opinion. I can smell the iris and a bit of the bergamot. What I smell a lot of is the violet. It’s not sharp or overpowering, but it’s there and I love it! After it’s settled on the skin for about an hour, its softness really comes through. Delicate, but strong enough for you to take notice. I don’t get vanilla, whipped cream, or sugar in the least. I mean, not at all. I think if any of those elements were more present, I would love this so much more. Still, it’s lovely and perfect if you want florals but not the kind that punches you in the face. I found that this scent lasted a good 8 hours on me, even though it doesn’t seem to project that far. I just got light whiffs of it throughout the day. When people comment that this is a “comforting” scent, they’re not lying. It is.
One last thought, the lotion and gel that came with it? AWFUL. The scent smells so off and plastic-like. I mean, it was terrible!

I hadn’t come across a tester of PERIWINKLE & IRIS and although I have others in this line, I was reluctant to blind buy given the notes and so many negative or lukewarm reviews. I thought it would be too sweet and/or bland. Recently, I happened upon a good sale and noticed rollerballs of various fragrances for about $5 apiece. There still weren’t any testers, but at that price, I wasn’t risking much and I purchased this one along with one other (also a blind buy).
As it so often happens, it’s all down to personal chemistry. On me, this fragrance is creamy and powdery and in some way “blue” without reference to the color of the juice, but it isn’t at all sugary and it doesn’t smell like baby powder. There are undertones of sweetness and vanilla, but they’re not overpowering. It’s true that the development here is on the linear side, but over time, I can pick up a hint of the bergamot and even a bit of woodiness. What this scent brings to mind for me is an angora sweater.
PERIWINKLE & IRIS is particularly cozy at night, but I find that it also works during the day as a casual and office scent. Sillage is soft. I see this as more of a winter/spring fragrance, but I haven’t had it long enough to try it on a warm day. The longevity is actually pretty good – right now I’m on hour 7. This brand seems to be on sale frequently, so I’ll be on the lookout for a full bottle at a good price.

This is a light, powder-and-candied violet perfume, 100% identical to Avon’s now-discontinued “Pearls & Lace,” from the very beginning to the end.
Vera Wang’s “Periwinkle & Iris” may not be an oriental powerhouse, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t worthwhile. After all, we’d all like to return to something a bit simpler and more innocent sometimes, if not to get away from the bolder, attention-grabbing blends.
“Periwinkle & Iris” opens with a soft-textured, creamy-powdery and sweet, candied violet scent, and stays that way until it fades away completely three hours later. It’s simple, but very elegant. There is something almost Victorian about this scent, which conjures up images of vintage ads featuring those romantic Gunne Sax dresses, and the New Romantic movement of the late ’70s through mid-80s.
The only thing I don’t like about “Periwinkle & Iris” is the bottle. For such a soft, romantic, and feminine scent, the perfume deserves something better than the bulky, cold, industrial bottle. A frosted glass bottle with soft curves, with a light pink brushed metal cap, would have been more suitable. Ugly packaging aside, the perfume itself is full-bottle worthy.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

Right out of the bottle I get (literally) creamy iris. At the end of its long wear I get (figuratively) sugary, creamy iris. That’s it. Is it necessary that you love iris to love this? It might be a requisite. If you are iris-averse then don’t even bother with this. If you’re looking to explore iris this is as good a place to start. I’d even say this is a good gateway into more complex scents like L’Heure Bleue—not that I’m even suggesting they are of the same ilk. However, if L’Heure Bleue is a kaleidoscope of blues and violets then Periwinkle & Iris is a marker of powder blue hue.
A question was posed, “Who are the basic b**ches in your collection?” I hadn’t thought much about it. I hadn’t even offered a reply. But I knew right away, as I was swooping in to grab a second gift set of Periwinkle & Iris, who she was. Periwinkle & Iris offers nothing groundbreaking. The earth does not tremble when I spray this. But damn, I smell good! And isn’t that all we require from these basic, ahem, ladies in our collection?

  23. :

Aww.. Kind of sad to see this fragrance get so many bad reviews. This is such a simple little scent. Not all perfumes have to be intricately crafted masterpieces. Sometimes a little smell to lift your mood is all you need, and this one does it for me.
I love this for just relaxing! Very sugary sweet violet and iris with some vanilla and wood. Very very powdery, veering towards baby powder. I wear this when im just lounging around at home.
It’s calming, clean, and sweet. Simple and cute is what comes to mind when I wear this one! Most people would reach for a bodyspray for that sort of thing, but I prefer the longevity and potency of actual perfumes.

When I smelt this in the store, it smelt light and powdery with a deeper hint of musk. I got it for a gift a few months later, but I don’t like the scent much. It is mostly whipped cream and strong violent in a cloying way. I usually like scents with a bit of musk, like this one, but it gives me a headache. I personally find it too masculine but one of my friends likes it, so I guess it depends on the person.

This is cheap and has masculine undertones also performance is bad. I thought about buying for my lady but will pass. Smells good though

This is an interesting scent. At first I get a powdery, almost fresh laundry smell and then it settles into vanilla and creamy goodness. That powdery scent remains though for me. The very end of the day, this just smells like cream. I feel like this is more of a ‘just after a shower’ and ‘running around doing errands’ and ‘lunch date’ sort of fragrance. It is bit strong – not to others but potentially the wearer, if that makes sense. I remember the first time I wore it that I liked the scent but wished I had sprayed less (and I did not spray a lot!). I think daytime for this. I can’t imagine really wearing this at night. it’s not exactly warm or sexy. Just sweet vanilla cream powder. I can see how some might even find it cloying. I liked it and enjoyed it a lot. You don’t need to worry about sillage with this one – so it is a great one if you’re looking for something that won’t offend. I did find it lasted a long time on me. I’m interested in continuing to wear it to see how it grows on me. I like it a lot – it is a pleasant surprise.

    Whipped Cream Vanilla & Flowers
Who’d have thought this mix could smell good?
Once you get past that weird opening which smells of notes that are not listed on here – violets, irises, roses and citrus, in a rather sharp projection, you can enjoy how it softens and turns into something sweet.
I could smell the vanilla and the whipped cream which give it a sun tan lotion vibe, but with a gourmand edible yumminess. This smells of delicious vanilla yogurt.
I didn’t think of this fragrance as being heavily floral and the iris and periwinkle (and violet) and one white floral note that eludes me is on here, to give it that flowery feminine touch.
    Beautiful.
Simple and easy to wear in the day time any season any month and with any type of clothing.

Vera Wang Embrace Periwinkle & Iris
This fragrance isn’t all that impressive to me, though it has a sweet charm. It reminds me of blueberries even though there is no berry note in it. It’s kind of hard to figure it out and it changes itself from floral to vanilla and a fruit cake type of scent.
The first spritz is a sweet citrusy mandarin orange. Nothing else but mandarin orange, but it comes and goes without much sillage or longevity, a brief citric passage.
The floral notes are strong and they include the periwinkle and iris from the title. I have cultivated periwinkle and they are similar to violet so it doesn’t surprise me that a violet note is in this fragrance.
In fact this is a big violet, and it’s matching up with the both the periwinkle flower and iris flower. If you like sweet fruity florals this perfume is going to be your cup of tea.
The periwinkle, iris, and violet are powdery and vanillic. The vanilla that emerges in the dry down and base note is creamy and sweet, like vanilla frosting on a cake. This smells like a wedding perfume although really less pretty than Vera Wang Sheer Veil.
Embrace Periwinkle & Iris smells like a soft subtle scent on a light purple or lavender colored bridesmaid dress.
It seems to want you to wear her to a wedding. It’s flexible as a day time perfume: lunch or work/office. I don’t think a young girl can wear this if she thinks this is going to smell anything like the more youth oriented Vera Wang perfumes like Princess or the Princess flankers. It’s definitely mature.
I wear this to work as a public school teacher. I have never received a compliment on it because it’s not on long enough.
Vera Wang’s Embrace scents and Sheer Veil could be better. I’m wondering why she invested so much of her time and money on jewelry and bridal wear than in perfume. She isn’t really much of a perfumer/nose.
So this is ultimately pleasant, floral, vanilla but nothing to rave about.
    It’s pretty.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

Oh I really wanted to love this fragrance but I can only “like” it. Embrace Periwinkle & Iris is a soft sweet floral gourmand. That’s about it. It doesn’t have the sillage, perfume cloud effect, or longevity that I like my perfumes to have. This was a cheap and poorly composed body mist. I’ve experienced better projection and longevity from some Victoria Secrets body sprays.
Here are the notes in this fragrance:
    Citruses (mandarin orange and bergamot)
    Periwinkle Iris Violet Jasmine
    Vanilla Whipped Cream Sugar Benzoin
Look at those base notes! I was expecting it to have a dry down of pure gourmand sweetness and the bakery shop scent of Britney Spears Fantasy.
If you pay enough attention it has a sweet vanilla cream or vanilla wedding cake smell. It’s cream and sugar, like putting your nose to actual sugar packets when you first open them.
It makes me think of sugar in coffee. The vanilla whipped cream note is like a cappuccino. Salty, sweet, vanilla but it’s not as rich or deep as I would have liked. It’s quite soft.
There are times when all I get are the whipped cream vanilla scents and other times when I get the florals.
The floral notes are heavier than the vanilla. I’ve never been around periwinkle flowers so I’m not the go-to girl for confirmation of whether or not this smells like periwinkle. It definitely has a dominant iris and violet. There is a buttery white jasmine flower.
I am getting these notes and they smell, and I hate to say this, old lady ISH. They remind me of grandmother’s house with vanilla cakes waiting for me in the kitchen, packets of sugar for coffee, white or beige colored ecru lace, china or porcelain tea cups with mauve or lavender colored floral prints, dollies, coaster plates, and other little bric a brac you’d find in the home of a woman over 60. I don’t mind this association because I have fond memories of my nana Christine. I loved my nana and when she passed away it was very hard for me to get over it.
This is a very floral iris and violet scent with a benzoin dry down that provides the flowers with a touch of incense.
So if you like florals and iris & incense, this is a good intro to what seems to want to smell like an Oriental floral. It’s not a hardcore Oriental, however, and in fact, more of a gourmand with only that benzoin note as an ingredient of Oriental perfumes.
I like the vanilla cream and the nana’s house scent.
It’s delicate and powdery and can even resemble Victoria Secrets Heavenly Angels. As such I wear this to bed or with lingerie. It’s a subtle scent and can be worn anywhere, but I think of this fragrance as being domestic and wearable indoors in the home, not out public, and I like to spritz this on before bed. It’s soothing and comforting, vanilla and iris.

Oh Vera…This is the glazed carrot side dish nobody ate at the dinner party.

First I get a whiff of citrus, followed by a sugary floral bouquet that – at least on me – is sweet and mild. My nose gets a lot of iris and violet mixed with a touch of sugared vanilla. I like sweet scents, but there’s nothing unique or special about this. I like it enough to finish the bottle, but I don’t love it enough to buy another one.
EDIT: When I first bought this, the powder note was barely there for me, but after wearing it a few times, my nose started picking it up more and more, especially as the weather got warmer. Sad to say that it’s spoiled the fragrance for me, which I first equated with a clean, mild floral. Now it smells synthetic, sneezy and headache-inducing. I don’t want to waste the rest of the bottle, but it’s coming out of my wardrobe and it’ll just be a room spray now … or maybe it’ll just go in the trash.
I wish I had worn this before I bought it, but it was so inexpensive I just figured I’d get it. Now I’d like to give it away! (Anyone want it?)

Not too bad. Reminds me of one of the philosophy frags. Light and powdery. I do smell the iris I like the Laurence Dumont better but for a cheapie you could do a lot worse. I’ll wear it

Lots of iris and violet on me! Not so much of the sweet and powdery that others are complaining of. It lasts four hours. This was a little gift that I’m really enjoying. But you’ve piqued my curiosity and I’ll now go smell the Prada irises.

  36. :

Not impressed with this one, just like the other embrace scents I just don’t care for it. Way to sweet for me I wouldn’t recommend this one to anyone really

  37. :

Starts off woody and a tad masculine, softens down to a vanilla/ marshmallow/ violet concoction- nice fluffy and very girly, with the musk peeping out during the final drydown.
It’s actually very pretty and I have received some nice compliments on it. I also found it rather unusual and nostalgic. There is a faint, fleeting glimpse of Pradas Iris, but Periwinkle and Iris is not as complex nor long lasting., even still this is a nice, pleasing little potion that’s easy on the pocket book.

Not at all what I was expecting. At first… powder, powder, powder. If I would have known this, I wouldn’t have purchased it. Reminds me of Prada’s Iris.. but Prada does it much better. I couldn’t smell anything but powder and vanilla. I just spritz it on every now and then after a shower. It is a clean smell. But the other night… I sprayed it on top of Taylor Swift’s Incredible Things… and then it hit me. The violet! I smell the violet! Yes.. I smell powder (duh). I smell vanilla. But at last… I could smell something else in this! I could smell the violet! So pretty! I think it takes something more woodsy to open up those other notes maybe? I dunno! But I smell the violet now! Mixing it with another perfume completely took away my feelings of regret from purchasing this. So if this perfume just ain’t “you”, try layering it with something more woodsy. You might be surprised.

    Oh my … the disappointment.
I love powdery fragrances. I adore gourmands – especially vanilla.
But boy, oh boy, this scent is a scrubber on me.
The poor iris is wilting under a monotonous, saccharine hailstorm. There is not even a hint of sophistication.
    And the woods are non-existent.
Bam! The nausea-inducing neurons are activated and there’s no respite.
It’s so sweet I feel ill.
Prada’s Infusuon d’Iris does the sweet iris fragrance so much better. This perfume just smells sickly and cheap.
    My fault entirely. I blind-bought.
Forgive me: the notes were so promising.

Powder, powder, powder. Baby powder, to be specific. Pleasant enough if you like that scent and want to smell like a clean baby, but not something I would buy. It lacks nuance. Great bottle and color, though.

Tried it this evening doing some late night shopping.
I thought periwinkle and iris would be just beautiful combination. along with that light blue tint of the juice. I’m thinking earthy orris root mixed in with some wild flowers. Oh, let’s give that a try/
Well, there it was, my arch enemy…… vanilla.
How vanilla was it? Compleet-el-ly vanilla. I’ve been bamboozled thinking it was floral, and have been smothered by sticky, sweet, burnt vanilla cookies.
Oh Vera, you tricky girl, putting all vanilla in something called Periwinkle Iris …*tch* *tch* *tch

It is very common and ordinary to me. Starts with vanilla, then becomes vanilla and sugar, and then becomes powder.

I have no idea what Periwinkle smells like, so I was curious as to how it would pair with iris in VW Periwinkle and Iris.
This perfume is reminiscent of many others:
    -I agree with the reminder of BBW Twilight Woods;
    -There’s also a smidge of fruity/floralness, which makes me think of my Al-Rehab Sandra;
    -A bit of airiness that also appears in Burberry Brit Rhythm;
-and for me, the drydown arrives quickly and is ALL benzoin, so it becomes Prada Candy, but better, because the benzoin is much stronger, longer lasting and with better sillage in Periwinkle & Iris.
Longevity of this EDT has been good for me: several hours on skin, and even longer on clothes.
Thanks again to Sharks for the swap. I love this one, too!

I got to try these new ones today and sadly not one of them was something I would buy! What a pretty sounding name, shame!

Sigh, after the sugar disappears the number one most prominent note is the white musk. Not a bad white musk but none the less that is the most prominent note in this scent. This is really a heliotrope musk scent aka vanilla musk scent.

Ok, this is kind of nice, not what I expected, it is a very powdery scent, and with a certain green vibe too..I find it to have a masculine vibe in the heart…it is pleasant, but a bit hard to define…rather soft too…all in all, not something I will wear , it wasn’t very expensive, which is good,
