I am having trouble tweezing out the various notes in this fragrance. But most certainly a sunny, yellow fruity floral.
Not sure which note it is that reminds me of Burberry Weekend ~~ but this is a slightly sleeker, more elegant quieter version.
Though i do like this fragrance, I do not quite love it. It is best worn with a light hand. Otherwise it becomes strong and soapy. Worn lightly, it is lovely. I will end up wearing it to work, for sure. But hard to say if I’ll be buying another bottle just yet….not because it isn’t nice, but because it isn’t distinctive enough. Beautiful fresh floral opening, beautiful soft drydown.
I will experiment with layering it with other scents, as I think it lends itself well to layering. Possibly green, clean scents.
If you are looking for an easy to wear, inoffensive floral with good longevity…this may be the one for you.

I just blind bought this based on the reviews. While it is what is described I have to admit I am a little let down. It is a bit of a generic peach and amber scent. There are many nicer fragrances of this era that are just a bit more remarkable and special. I wouldn’t get this again. I suggest to try before you buy it.

Somebody was selling this discontinued perfume and I bought it blind just so I could experience it for myself. The opening is musty, as it develops I get all the notes mentioned and it settles a soft feminine skin scent. Hmmm I’m getting a freshly clean restroom aura from this one. It has a air freshner sort of vibe to me. I have a problem with a particular note, that being fressia and this perfume confirms my acute aversion for it. Sorry to those who love it, it’s not bad at all.
Edit:08.08.17
I like this fragrance now very much, it’s long lasting non-offensive, fresh and layers wonderfully with other fragrances. It’s good to give everything a second, or third try. Do not pass it up if you come across it.

Not generally big on florals but love Perhaps and so disappointed to hear that it’s going the way of the dinosaur… I just love that little whiff that I get in the afternoon when I’m at the office and I move and it doesn’t smell like it’s a perfume, it just smells like it’s me – or what I would like to smell like. Losing Perhaps has now set me on the mission of finding one or two fragrances that I can truly call my own but I am so overwhelmed… Bob, what have you done?!?

Perhaps one of the most serene refined classy scents that truly transformed my life..to me its so amazing its pure simple yet so relaxing so clean so beautiful.. i don’t know why it didn’t become an international best seller .. doesn’t matter to me its on my best top ten everyday perfumes ..its notes are so balanced..so pure..clean..sharp yet rounded..its some how refreshing to the senses..it uplifts your spirits..there is a fine sensuality hidden within its notes..like a silky vail.

“Top: Mimosa, peach, orange; Heart: jasmine, freesia, rose; Base: sandalwood, amber,” Basenotes.net review
“Perhaps” was a different kind of mainstream scent back in 1997. In 2012 it is still clumsily unique in its own way in context of its time. It somehow got trapped in the transition between the late 1980s powerhouse florientals and the soft fruity-floral “slacker” scents of the late 1990s.
It begins with a mentholated fruity slap. I don’t see mint listed but there is a bracingly cold blast of mint flying below the radar, underneath the scent of canned peaches. The same peaches that graced Tresor, Tuscany Per Donna, and Liz Claiborne’s Liz made one last appearance here, subconsciously creating a time stamp that will forever read 1990s floriental. If one can find pleasure in the former listed fragrances’ peaches, then the latter’s peaches should present no problems. Given a few minutes the peaches share space with freesia and mimosa, giving this a very bright, yellow-floral scent (for a very long time). The sunny yellow bouquet seems to be an attempt to mimic its more subdued contemporaries, such as Happy, Sunflowers, and CK One. It’s nice but it creates confusion—is this going the way of a bang or a whimper?
The drydown turns to a typical 1990s floriental powderbomb. Again, nice but nothing new, if not downright confused. There are plenty of generic fruits, flowers, and amber. The juice’s duration is incredibly long-lasting, typical of that era’s fragrances (and a sorely missed characteristic in many fragrances produced nowadays). Sillage is tastefully strong enough and projection is just loud enough to let others you are wearing a bad-girl-gone-good.
I got ahold of a (free) vintage bottle which smells exactly as I remember. I was not over-the-moon with this one back in 1997 and I am still not completely in love in 2012. However, I do have a greater appreciation for this one, looking at it through “graduation goggles,” where former stinkers and powderbomb offenders are at once forgiven for past transgressions.

i liked it a lot but unfortunately this didn t hold on my skin,. people here are mentioning this is longlasting though… my skinchemistry refused it…. on me it was a faint woody-ambery drydown after half an hour and after an hour it was gone completaly… such a pitty, the aroma of this scent is indeed very unique and nice. fruity fresh and warm at same time. good for spring and summer.

I love this fragrance. The peach and jasmine with hints of rose and freesia is just right! And, this one tends to last on me. Go figure! The other fragrances by Bob Mackie do not last on me. This one is definitely special!
fda76 – :
i really want this perfume it’s very floral and fruity it’s good to wear in the summer
Sceteenaicy – :
Perhaps by Bob Mackie is a sweet white floral concoction that mellows from a burst of white into a somewhat peachy
rose midnote, with a classic amber/vanilla base. It is quite feminine and long lasting; a scent that can be worn day or evening by young and older women. It is a perfume distinctly different from the designer’s over-the-top fashion creations, as if it were not a part of the line at all.
A favorite introduced to me near debut by my young teenaged daughter, she and I are miserly with our remaining Perhaps as it has been discontinued!
