With peony perfumes I don’t really bother. They aren’t my first choice when it comes to floral perfumes. Some peony perfumes that I’ve tested did not impress me much, and this does not do either. But in all honesty, it’s a lovely beautiful, simple and feminine pink floral without any age restrictions. Very balanced between sweetness, floralcy and spicyness rosey scent. The smell represents the color. It is a rendition of peony; not all perfumes need to be accurate representations of nature. Soapy with a drydown of vague fruit, not necessarily raspberry, yet the opening is basically a spicy patchouli that lingers more than it’s stated. You need to give this perfume time to develop. Stays close to the skin and lasts at around 5-6 hours.
I don’t need it. Women who like classy fruity florals will really appreciate it

If you’re looking for a photorealistic peony, this is not it. There are better offerings from this house.

I must be hypersensitive to pepper because this smelled like an enormous blast of PEPPER on first spray and it overwhelmed me to the point that I could not wait to get it away from me (thank goodness I never spray unsniffed fragrances on me).

of the notes listed all I got was patchouli and amber.. and some sort of powdery note. Overall it just smelled surprisingly cheap, synthetic and disappointing. A lot like fake polyester flowers actually :/

I love Peonia Nobile, I think it’s one of those perfumes that exude elegance and femininity in a subtle way, without trying too hard. And the name suits the scent just perfectly because this is a noble perfume, interesting like an aristocrat without being overbearingly important, a perfume that says nothing and so much at the same time. Peonia dominates without contenders in this creation and other notes, mostly rose and raspberry serve the main note giving the whole composition a sweet, fresh, juicy character. This is a mature scent and with that I don’t mean created for mature women but mature in an abstract way, something that cannot be seized but reflects the highest level of elegance and simplicity that someone can reach. Yes, this is a special perfume that can be worn all year long and in every occasion as it’s never too much or boring. Also it would make a gift much appreciated for a woman, a scent to be remembered by forever.

It’s a lovely floral scent, and the fruits make it nicely sweet and warm.

Very pretty. At first, it has the fabric softener sheet freshness (good or bad you have to say fabric softener sheets do a good job). After a few minutes, I get an expensive smelling musk, not very strong. A few minutes more, the musk is gone.
I like what must be the freesia and geranium notes. Rose is nicely blended in to add richness without taking a prominent role (which is not for everybody I heard). Peonia Nobile is a pretty fruity floral. It just does not have something that hooks you. I’m not a connoisseur but even I ask why this now from an established house.
I might like this in my teens or 20s when I was into fruity floral fare but still probably wouldn’t care to own a bottle, thinking back the perfumes I owned and loved then. If you give me a bottle now, I don’t know when to use it–when I’d feel like using it. Too strong for after shower. And can’t imagine to pick this over my other perfumes when going out.

    Beautiful, but not for me.

I can’t enjoy this perfume, it’s screeching my nose.
Strongly floral, peony and rose are dominant in it.
    Smells old-fashioned and heavy.
    Not for me.

Tart, juicy floral. There’s a nice rose in the opening (which unfortunately turns a bit pickle-ly/watermelon-ly on me but that’s a personal problem I often have with rose) along with a detergent note. Rather run of the mill, with it’s Iso E raspberry and the pink pepper (not my favorite note as it’s often used in the most boring fragrances). Well within the high standards of this house, though, so if you’re looking for a pretty floral you should check this out.

The least interesting Nobile. I just received it, and as much as I would like to praise it, I just can’t do that. Peonia Nobile is a very pedestrian musky rose fragrance, pleasant nonetheless. It’s somewhat darker and not as vibrant as Rosa Nobile.

When I sprayed this on to test it, I immediately thought, “Oh well, this is a just another one of those rosy florals.” I didn’t want to pass judgment so quickly though, so I let it sit. And…it really is just another rose fragrance. I have smelled so many similar scents, and many of those were at a better price point. Sadly, this is nothing special. It is lovely, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not groundbreaking. On top of that, the sillage and longevity are pretty poor as well. If you’re looking for your perfect peony or rose scent, I would keep searching. There’s no harm in testing this, but don’t go in expecting something different than other typical rose scents.

I absolutely loved the first 15 minutes this was on my skin. I love to wear floral fragrances all year, and I thought this fresh, spicy floral that would be perfect for fall and winter! Then, it went downhill. The midphase was all sour, stale musk, and the base was just another generic, slightly sweet floral scent. I get no fruit, patchouli, or amber on my skin.
    Weak-moderate longevity, moderate sillage.
It’s nothing special, and I won’t be purchasing, which is such a shame because it was such a winner at the beginning of the wear time.

Peonia Nobile could easily be a creation of Montale or Mancera. It isn’t the most original fragrance.
But I enjoy the duality of floral/fruit with dry notes.
    It’s a raspberry-rose-patchouli-musk perfume.
The opening is too much for me, thankfully it gets better with time.
The middle and drydown are marvelous, more delicate and elegant than the first impression.

Everyone keep saying tha its so summery and fresh perfume an I can say NOT.For my its the perfect fall scent, I can imagine myself wearing this gem on a rainy, fogy autum in Scotland and deffo I am gonna do that :). Pepper makes it warm and cozy perfume, peonies gives some spiciness, I can not detect any roses but I got fresh whips of raspberries in the begining. Longivity its moderate.
    To sum up :
You can not say that the price its to high or perfume it not worth it. Its worth every pound because you honestly cant compare it eith anything at the market.
Its nice classy perfume, but not a safe buy!
Its gonna be my fall and rainy days number 1

A lovely lovely perfume. I agree with a post below that compares it to Stella In Two Peony although this doesn’t have as much peppery depth as Stella does.
There’s nothing I dislike about this fragrance, it is super pretty. Groundbreaking? No, but what it does it does VERY well.
Edit: I’ve barely reached for this scent as it’s way too sweet. Now I’m in my late twenties I seem to be moving away from these scents. If you’re 18 and like sweet fruity florals this will be for you but sadly I’ll be parting with it.

Bright peony and gentle raspberry very well blended. Feminine and summery.

Acqua di Parma Peonia nobile smells like 1 million other perfumes, it is a pretty bright floral with a lovely musky dry down – but the price is prohibitive.

Mmm…. Acqua Di Parma Peonia Nobile is a delicious floral scent. I’ve been on the hunt for a luminous peony ever since testing the discontinued Stella in Two Peony.
Peonia’s spice doesn’t quite make it for me though. Stella still remains my favorite. However, Peonia is pretty, fragrantly pink, and with the raspberry note, is more floral and sweet. It’s a bit linear but has a clean, opulent presence, reminding a bit of the floral accords in Lancome Miracle.
Peonia is a an absolute safe blind buy if you’re into straight forward pink florals. However, my quest still continues for one with a bit more attitude.

Intense peony scent. It can make your nose irritated, so better test it before buy. Too heavy floral for me.

I knew I was going to be biased when my first test brought me back to my grandmother’s garden in summer. This is a beautiful peony rose blend. The black pepper adds a spicy note to it that I never realized was a part of peony flowers, but it is. Clean and slightly soapy in a good way.
This beauty was made for warn summer days. Lasts on me about 5 hours. One or two sprays is all you need, more and it could overpower the weak! Nothing chemical smelling about it, this is pure class. Give it about half an hour to mellow out on and you will know this is a very well made, quality gem.

This is what I wanted Lola to smell like! Pure peoney bliss, yet wearable. Flowery, fruity, juicy peony with great silage and longevity which is where Marc Jacobs Lola let me down.
Beautiful spring/ summer scent, very well made, love it 🙂

i’ve just tried this perfume and i like it: it contains peony and pepper that i love.
It’s very rich, juicy, fruity, you can clearly smell raspberry.
But it’s also wearable, not too strong. It’s feminine and the package is so cool, pink and gold.

This edp is really something quiet amazing. I was wearing it and had one lady I passed by ask me what it was. She said you just walked by and left this beautiful sweet trail behind. This is a truly elegant scent. Perfect for all occasions.

I have a sample of this perfume and I just sprayed it on my arm. It’s a gorgeous spicy-fresh floral fragrance. I can mostly detect the rose-peony and spicy notes rather than the fruity ones. It reminds me a little bit of Burberry London on the opening because of its freshness and the floral notes only this one has a more accentuated rose and peony note whlist London is more on the white floral and citrus category. I love both of them. A suitable perfume for every season, occasion and woman who wants to feel classy and elegant by not over exaggerating.

The opening of Acqua di Parma Peonia Nobile is a very pretty peony: gently rosy but without the fruity tartness of a rose, adorned by a fresh green nuance. The whole effect feels round and transparent, almost like a peony frozen in a cristal ball.
Then comes the sweet raspberry. Granted, I’m not the biggest fan of raspberry, because many raspberry notes make me think of artificial flavouring and the stickiness of sweet jam. Admittedly, the raspberry in Peonia Nobile is quite mild compared to most “artificial” raspberry accord and far from being saccharine, but it sweetens the floral peony and muds it as well, therefore breaks the cristalline effect in the opening and turns it into a more conventional fruity floral.
However, another interesting turn comes along after about 5 hours. As the floralcy gradually wanes with time, Peonia Nobile reveals a peppery, salty ambery base instead of a more conventional soapy white musk, and it feels quite masculine compared to the first few hours. I experienced a similar transition between masculine woody peppery and pretty pink floralcy in Rosa Nobile, but in reverse. The pink flowers chez Acqua di Parma got some backbones!
The sillage of Peonia Nobile is moderate to soft, and the longevity is around 8 hours. While I’m not very interested in its sweet fruity floral heart, the peony opening is quite agreeable and pleasant, and the base is surprisingly daring for such a pretty floral. I think it would be interesting to sample, but I would recommend against blind buying if you’re looking for a safe, pretty fruity floral.

First perfume review ever..so here we go! First of all this perfume is quite a considered purchase. But the first few moments of the perfume on the skin are divine, very pretty and expensive smelling. The presentation is very chic and clean. And after the intial spritz I thought great thats it, I have finally found my signature perfume. However the dry down was very disappointing and the beautiful scent had faded to a light musky rose smell within a hour. I am still looking for my ‘signature’

ahhhhh…soooo dreamy.. airy.. creamy.. sensual.. poeny.. whispery.. almost tangy.. in a subtle almost sweet.. pure flowery.. rosy.. cloudy.. out of this world sensation…so pure.. so innocent ..yet alluring.. so fine ..so intimate so fresh.. so beautiful ..so unique …soooooo peony …almost velvety ..almost tangible love at first sniff so reminiscent of old nostalgia to old love movies.. old powdery peony boudoir rooms.. lipsticks.. powders.. make up bags.. in a fresh frenchy way..in a nostalgic modern way.. in a very sensual intimate way ..it smells like cold cream like fine lotions with a hint of powdery but not musky or aldehyde like strong pungent ones a very soft cold sensual soft cream …it is sparkling and crisp yet serene and mellow vibrant full of life yet down to earth..it speaks from the heart its true to its essence ..simple classic yet dreamy and innovative..
i can almost drink this ..i can drown in it ..and feel happy.. i can see myself in the first peony perfume without headaches.. all of this love is coming from a reviewer who is not sooo in to rosy perfumes !!..this is going to be my converter to rosy land ..i think this is as pink as pink can get.. its like looking at the world through rosy lenses..wear it and you ll surely be happy.. some how ..some way.. it has the power to transform any mood to a happier more graceful one ..
when i first apply it i am reminded of all the pretty finer more delicate rosy perfumes like delicate rose by trusardi but this one has so much depth so much dimension its not light yet it is its so strange so beautiful it reminded me a bit of the l’occitane line for its purity yet this surpasses everything i ve ever smelled in the rosy perfume world surpassing even the annick goutals and so many from the niche world ..
i am so in love with this and i am happy to be the first on to have it before it was launched in lafayet dubai !
what i love about acqua di parma is the lack of alcohol the perfumes are so beautiful and skin friendly you can bathe in them they are not astringent or burn due to the high alcohol they are mainly perfume oils and acqua !perfect for summer days non cloying non sticky and utterly fresh and fine yet with a subtle allure and finesse only to be found from this prestigious house
