Description
Each fragrance in the Dame Perfumery Scottsdale eau de toilette collection consists of three elements neatly balanced for simple, clean and pure beauty: a bright top note, a pretty floral heart and a warm sensual dry down, all matched together and blended to perfection.
Beautiful and lush Pear, Water Lily & Amber by Dame Perfumery Scottsdale is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance. Pear, Water Lily & Amber was launched in 2014. Top notes are pear, mandarin orange and lemon; middle notes are water lily, cherry blossom, honeysuckle and jasmine; base notes are amber, sandalwood, musk and vanilla.
Pear, Water Lily & Amber is available as a 100 ml eau de toilette.

This is so pretty. It’s a very fresh, airy, and aquatic fragrance. The pear and water lily blend so beautifully and the amber which comes much later in the dry down is warm and soft. Once my sample is gone, I’ll have to get a bigger size. I really like this!

As others have noted, this is an interesting juxtaposition between the warm amber and the cool aquatic water lily.
The pear sweetens it up, and I have to say, it’s this house’s use of fruit+florals that I like the most. The pear here is sweet and juicy, and pulls the floral+amber together.

What an enchanting, adorable fragrance! Although amber’s not my cup of tea, I love it in this blend. This is the second time Dame surprised with a new and improved presentation of a previously-disliked note. Same happened with the labdanum in ‘Bergamot Jasmine Labdanum’. Like a magician master chef, they can make you enjoy any ingredient– even those previously disliked. I’ve come to trust Dame Perfumery, in a way where I’d like to give a 2nd chance to difficult notes– since their blend quality is off the charts!
Pear Waterlily Amber taps into a unique scent-space, in a market where “aquatics” usually have a summer-appropriate nautical/ oceanic feel, and “amber” warmth is suited for winter. This makes PWA a year-around frag, as a “warm aquatic”. Almost has a tropical feel to it, not because of the presence of common ‘tropical’ notes (plumeria, pineapple, coconut); but because of the amber-warmth in a fruit-and-aquatic-floral.
Pear is fresh, not candied; Amber is clean, not cloying; for an overall crystalline and sparkling aura. Makes me feel like I am 15 again — falling in love for the first time.

Love! I also discovered this one through Jeffrey Dame’s postcard sample program. I had requested a different scent and Mr. Dame included the P/WL/A which I immediately fell for. (The Cassis/Rose/Sandalwood wasn’t a match for me, so it’s best luck he sent several!)
I think it could be worn throughout the year. I’ve enjoyed it in both quite warm and quite cold weather.
I especially love the interplay between the amber and the pear/water lily combo. Sooo pretty, and something one could wear often without getting tired of it quickly.
Longevity is a few hours, and projection is pretty good during that time.
I recently upgraded from a 1.5ml sample to a 5ml trial size, and will for sure upgrade to a 30oz when I run out. Fortunately, Dame Perfumery’s prices are reasonable – particularly compared to many department store and other niche/indie lines!

Lovely, fresh, and very pleasant. The pear is only slightly sweet. I enjoy catching wafts of this fragrance through most of the day, with a smile every time. It works well in the summer heat. My favorite way to wear it is layered about 2:1 over Leather Man, also from Dame Perfumery. For me it takes this fragrance from very nice to “wow”!

This one’s a love, for sure. I wish I was better able to describe perfumes, but what I can say is that it’s really hard for me to find scents that work on me, especially now that I’ve developed sensitivity to some chemicals, like iso super e. This scent is beautiful on me! It is light, slightly sweet, musky and completely free of any harsh or sharp tones. It never overpowers, but it is easy to smell for several hours. This is my favorite of the three trial bottles I bought (mate, heliotrope, and patchouli and the osmanthus soliflore are the two others. I also received a sample of bergamot, jasmine, and labdanum which is beautiful, and will be my next trial bottle). It is a nice, clean scent without being soapy. Very unusual and very good!

I wore Clinique Happy for years while in high school back in the 90’s. I dislike it now, but at the time I wore it morning noon and night. Dame’s Pear, Water Lily, and Amber seems like a grown up REAL version of Clinique’s Happy. If Happy is a painting of clean laundry on the line at a beach side home, Dame’s PW&A is an ACTUAL beach side home with clean laundry on the line. It’s a bright citrus floral that makes you smile and feel pretty.
Also, one of the longest lasting citri/florals I’ve experienced. Same as Bond No.9’s $300 bottles.

This aquatic floral is light and airy and perfect for these days when winter turns into early spring.
It reminds me of Victoria’s Secret Divine, they are not exactly same, but they have the same gentle floral note (water lily) supported by the musk. Divine is more soapy, this one more creamy and it seems made from better quality ingredients.
Even if it wears light it has substance and is not the kind of fragrance only young girls would wear. For women of all ages.

I received a sample from the perfumery. This is a lovely soft ,clean floral scent. The water lily and dewy rose ( pear)open this scent beautifully! The musk seems to add a veriest hint of pepper ( that or there’s a bit of zest from the citruses) and then the other florals are blending in pleasantly . Very ,very pretty scent. I think I might need to get a bottle….

I received a sample of this from Dame Perfumery and was happy to try it. I’m a little leery of current floral fruity fragrances as they inevitably seem too sticky sweet to my mature nose. I am happy to say that this is not the case with this scent.
This is a very clean, clear scent with pear leading the way. The pear does bring a note of sweetness but in a juicy way rather than a sugary, candy way. The water lily quickly follows and I was pleasantly suprised. It did not overwhelm and instead added an aquatic quality but in the manner of a lovely scented bath, rather than the ocean. The cherry blossom and honeysuckle are present and blend well, adding a floral, summery note.
All in all, a very pretty, elegant, understated scent, good for everyday wear. It makes me think of a fashionable, cool sundress in the summer on a lovely woman with a cheerful, approachable air.

This is such a pretty, crystal-esque, whimsical perfume. It is exactly as described; an aquatic fruity-floral with a clean undertone. Fantastic for cool/warm/hot/humid weather. I might even like it better than one of my loves, Acqua di Gioia, because it doesn’t have that strong citrus accord. I’m really enjoying this one.
Projection is soft and longevity is 4 hours on my skin.

This fragrance begins very clean and simplistic with hints of citrus, but later evolves into a bright fruity floral. 10 minutes after application, cherry blossom is the star of the show dominating the fragrance. Ruling alongside are pear and water lily, giving a semi-aquatic feel. A fun Spring and Summer fragrance appropriate for women of all ages.

I got a sample of this from the Dame Perfumery and tested it right away. Immediately I smell a sweet blending of the pear and waterlily. Some in fragrances that have waterlily I think it seems to overwhelm the other notes and take charge but this blending is so perfect and lovely. I think this has average silage and longevity. I would love to smell their Cassis, Rose and Sandalwood they have such a way with blending I bet it is wonderful.
