Description

New fragrance by Juicy Couture was designed in hippie style and it takes us back to the 60es and free minded Malibu. Peace Love & Juicy Couture is, we can freely say, hippie phase of the brand, which does not distance itself from style of the brand with the new flacon design and cheerful notes.

Peace, Love and Juicy Couture is created in a massive flacon made of heavy glass, with wonderful decorations on its neck (turquoise pearls, fluffy pink decoration and small heart-shaped pendant with peace sign).

Its composition was created by Givaudan perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux of such notes as Meyer lemon, wild hyacinth, sweet apple and black currant buds absolute in a top. A heart blooms with floral kisses of Sambac jasmine absolute, star magnolia, Malibu poppy, honeysuckle and linden blossom, while a base features iris root extract, patchouli blossom and sensual musk which rounds up the composition as a non-chalant embrace.

The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml EDT, as well as EDP edition – 7,5ml rollerball. Advertising campaign was made by Steven Meisel, and you will find it in fashion and beauty magazines from October 2010.

    I have this fragrance sample.
Just sprayed it … first top notes are very strong, dominate and smell like fresh cut grass. Now it’s turning into a mixture of fresh cut grass and ??????.
Wait a minute … the fresh cut grass scent has toned down a bit but is still present (this green smell is also a bit cloying) with faint notes of lemon, lime and bitter hyacinth.
Not really a fan of this one. I guess this scent requires a certain body chemistry to make it smell beautiful …
or all day you’ll smell like you’ve cut the grass.
This scent is definitely an acquired taste (or should I say ‘smell’).
Update: 15 minutes later – I’m still smelling fresh cut grass but with a faint, light jasmine.
Now it smells like fresh washed laundry and the green isn’t so cloying.
Nice, but I’d rather wear my Elizabeth Arden’s Blue Grass.
Or maybe later I’ll change my mind. : )
OK, OK … wore this to work yesterday and after 2 hours the dry down was amazing. I realize you just have to give it time. A light version of Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Love on my skin. Loving it!!!
OK, so I would wear this instead of Blue Grass. : )

Comment only based on final notes after 5 hours.
-Smells fresh and warm breeze e.g. yacht ride + wearing freshly washed cloth.

To be honest I just got this because I love the bottle! And it was on offer. The JC line screams of Sugarland to me and I am a vintage Chypre lover. So I avoided this line like the plague even though those bottles are my cup of tea.
This perfume is light and inoffensive. Flowery citrus and earthy leaves that ground the sugar. It has a happy hippy uplifting sweet vibe to me and yes, its grassy. Like Chloe Narcisse has that tart green thing going that makes it so worth my while. Cassis is that note I am guessing, along with the light Patchouli in the base Its not spectacular, and I would recommend it for those who don’t crave sweetness in every perfume.
I will be reaching for this on any warm day. Its refreshing so I will use it as a mood enhancer anytime of year. Flowery with a green edge that stops it being too little girly sweet. Perfect for a Summer or Spring day. Sillage moderate. Its clean soft and feminine but not boring . That bottle is a keeper! Love it.xx

I think the great deal of dislike for this scent stems from a basic mismatch between this brand /the other of its fragrances and the followers it has garnered…vs. this fragrance.
I feel this is a great bitter, peppery, green, floral drydown fragrance. The person who likes this, is generally not a classic “Juicy” fan. And vice versa. This scent is more along the lines of Cristalle, Green Tea, Alliage..etc..clean, crisp, sporty….. no frills and pink here.

I bought this specifically because of the reviews saying it smells like fresh cut grass – a scent which I love but I can never find a fragrance that replicates it accurately. PL&JC is grassy at first but then it settles to a semi-sweet white floral. It’s not anything special (smells just like Burberry Weekend and Maria Sharapova’s perfume), but at least it’s different for the Juicy Couture line.

I get mostly the Meyer lemon and a green patchouli from this, with a floral underneath that keeps them from smelling too sweaty. It’s an interesting juxtaposition of clean and earthy, though not dirty, and it’s great for a spring or early summer day, with a boho tunic and some Birkenstocks- it’s casual and doesn’t try too hard, and doesn’t expect to please everyone. I wouldn’t call it sexy, but it’s fun and quirky.
Edited to add: I’ve realized that what this mostly smells like to me is very young boughs, stripped of the bark. To a lesser extent, the stems of hardy flowers as they are being trimmed for the vase.

This lovely, green and very Springtime in a bottle perfume immediately reminds me of a much softer Estee Lauder Pleasures, which I also own and love. The two are not dupes for one another but very much olfactory siblings, as in: if you enjoy one of them you will likely appreciate the other as well.
So far, and since I just received this fragrance, I prefer to wear this one in the warmer temps offered by Spring, looking to the Summer heat as well for this lovely scent.
So far on me, the performance is a soft sillage that lasts moderately, which makes the value on par for average (bang to buck ratio). No complaints at all! The bottle is lovely, elegant in its simplicity.
    Overall? 7/10
Very nice and my favorite of the JC scents which I’ve tried so far.

This was a blind buy at Shoppers Drug Mart (no tester) I was expecting a 60’s fragrance with patchouli, sandalwood and Jasmine and was surprised to discover a green scent. It is a sweetish, bitter green. It takes a few minutes for it to dry down and bloom on the skin. I used 4 sprays. I sense lime and lily of the valley. It is refreshing and great for spring and summer. The sillage is subtle but it definitely floats subtly above the skin. It is Eternity’s shy sister. Similar vibe but Eternity is much bolder and only requires 2 sprays. The bottle is charming and a keeper for sure and I love the hot pink box.

Lately I decided to collect all juicy couture perfumes that I can find.most perfume shops don’t have tester bottles so anyone that wants to buy them has no choice but blindbuy.luckily today I saw a tester bottle of peace, love and juicy couture and tested it on my skin.well, however I had read the reviews, still I was shocked.
I agree that the reason of so many dislike is that people expect something different from this brand.this is not a bad perfume for someone who appreciates green and grassy, slightly lemony, slightly floral scents.well I hate this type of perfumes.of course there are some exceptions even for me,for example I like “issey miyake a scent” or “chanel NO.19” which belong to same category but peace, love and juicy couture is definitely not for me.all I could smell was grass, wet grass and soil to be more specific and a hint of something like a tart lemony/fruity cleanser liquid.probably it doesn’t agree with my skin chemistry not much of florals or fruits showup on me.that wet grassy-earthy aspect lasts til the end just that it becomes a bit more tolerable in dry down as it gets a bit warm and I can smell faint florals, but still not something I can say that I like
I was so lucky that I didn’t blindbuy this one as I couldn’t use it but it’s good to see different jobs from a brand

This is one of my favorite budget-friendly hot weather fragrances. Citrusy, green, earthy, and just a little bit floral. No sweetness at all. It reminds me of being out in a field in the sunshine. Not so great staying power. And the drydown is very earthy.

This is my favorite Spring/Summer scent! It blows my mind how many people dislike this one.
It’s very floral & grassy…fresh yet dirty in the best way. I just love it and have it in all sizes!

I am a sweet gourmand type girl but this is nice for a change. I would sit it next to Tommy Girl, Happy by Clinique and Lovely by SJP just to name a few. Very clean and springy.

  13. :

    3 out of 5

Even though this one is not a sweet fragrance at all, it does not smell nice as an earthy or “green” one either. It smells more like a cleaning product (Windex) 🙂 The opening and the dry down smell the same to my nose. No middle notes whatsoever 🙂 I also somehow detected a light smell in the end that reminded me of “moth ball”. Very surprised that it is JC perfume compared to some other great ones, the iconic ones that they made.
And yes, it is for sale at Marshalls too (not just at T.J.Maxx) for $19.99 plus tax (3.4 oz bottle). And it just comes with a Mint colored elastic hair band with one small Pink tassel attached to it, wrapping around the bottle neck. It does not have 3 colorful tassels and Turquoise beads as seen in the photo on this page, or any original retailed package. I believe it is still an authentic product from Juicy Couture but was packed in an economic, different package (just like one reviewer stated in her review).

  14. :

Just bought this as a blind buy from Marshall’s. After reading all the negative comments I was afraid to try it and thought for sure I wasted my money. Now that I’m wearing it though I’m relieved because I actually like it. I don’t think I would ever pay full price for it but it is a nice clean and earthy scent with a hint of sweetness. It will be perfect for the summertime when you want to spritz something on and feel fresh.

While at Tj Maxx today…found this on clearence big size bottle for $12. Finally sniffed it after all this time. I can see the resemblace to Chanel Cristalle..but this is not a dupe for sure…nor does it smell like Diorella It is a lemon/floral vibe…a tad green/grassy …but not too too much.I get a lot of hyacinth/lily of valley type floral punch too. LOl..like an other reviewer stated…there is a Windex vibe when first sprayed…but that leaves quickly…lol..thank the Lord. It can be a nice light/airy spring summer scent.
Remarkable…??? Not really…but not bad…simple scent.Kind of reminds me of Calvin Klein BEAUTY…(?)
Edit: Ok..OK….In the drydown…I am getting similar vibes of Diorella !! WAIT..be patient…the drydown is worth it….(Oops !)

  17. :

    4 out of 5

This is green grassy and lemon-floral, breezy and cool. It will remind me a bit of Windex for a few seconds sometimes, but I can’t be mad at it for that because it’s just so darn pretty and changes so drastically during the course of wear.
I feel like the juice should be light green. An hour and a half in the patchouli tiptoes in and mixes with some tangy fruit (apple? Currant?) to produce one of the most delicious, tangy, fruity-tart dry-downs I ever smelled! Really warms up the fragrance. Goes on like this for hours. 5+…
Just don’t go in expecting sweet and fruity. If you like the idea of citrus, green smells, fresh flowers, and a little touch of tangy fruit, this is for you.
Seriously, the drydown! A very addictive smell. I think this is a sprightly, springy-summery one, but I even want to wear it now in the fall. The dramatic haters of this perfume were so compelling I almost didn’t try it but I’m glad I did.

I am a huuuuge fan of juicy couture brand , girly , cute and amazing original bottles .. even when they do floral mature scent ..
    however
    This is a SHOCK
it’s one of the worst scents I have ever smlled in my entire life ..
I could not believe that juicy couture makes such an awful smell .. I bought it blindly .. I thought how bad can it be , it’s juicy couture
    but then .. BAAM shock

Great for when you want your hubbies to come home and say, “wow hon, did you just clean the bathroom?”

  20. :

Most people buy this probably thinking they are getting a sweet vanilla fragrance, thats why there are so many dislikes. Peace Love and Juicy is a green, earthy, fresh scent. On me it opens up strong, with fresh cut grass. It quickly turns into a slightly sweet floral and fresh smell. Its not offensive and is clean. Its more of a spring/summer perfume.

    Underated goody!

  22. :

Not a fan, this smells very cheap and it smells like a fragrance from Victorias secret. Too sweet too floral doesn’t blend well. I find it a bit offensive and over the top. Silly looking bottle.

  23. :

Funny how fragrance is so personal and subjective, never the same experience for anyone. The same exact scent can smell 1,000 different ways to/on 1,000 people.
I really like this and I’m not a Juicy fan in the least! Earthy indeed. Incomparable to their usual fruity-floral offerings. There is a slight dirtiness that accompanies the green notes which could be turning people off of it (or the greenness alone can do that for a lot of people). But once it gets past this opening, on me it blooms into a sexy, sexy somewhat sweet floral with some remaining bitter green. Try it on your own skin and see how it plays with your chemistry before buying.

I have to agree with @Aurora Fisherman’s review below, I hated this after the first sniff, I bought the small roll on bottle. I kept going back to it and testing it and I never changed my opinion. I never throw perfumes away so I just left it in it’s box in my cabinet. It was sharp and had a dirty note to it that I didn’t like, it always got scrubbed off when I tried it. However today, middle of Summer in UK, humid warm day, I saw it there and gave it another try. It smells completely different now and perhaps a perfume I would actually wear! I pick up a lot of Jasmine and lush greens, then it settled to a warm light floral. I love heady Jasmine fragrances in Summer, my favourite being Al Rehab Full, I think this little beauty has woken up, definitely not a Winter fragrance in my opinion 🙂

Unsure of what to think of this one really. I see where they were trying to go, but they just didn’t get there at all.
It certainly has a squeaky clean vibe to it, and I can see how they tried to connect a lot of “earthy” notes to each other but the end product just smelt like windex. It was awful. Lime blossom and honeysuckle are there for sure, I feel like they kinda used elements of 5th Avenue really. it smells like a dank version of that.
After a shower and 4 hours however it seems to mellow out and stops being so screechy and soapy. It turns almost sweet and ditsy, the magnolia comes through (always a lifesaver).
Overall, it’s a no for me. But a thumbs up for Juicy for really trying something different. They just failed… horribly.

I thought Juicy Couture could do no wrong, but I definitely did not enjoy this. I picked it up from TJ Maxx and the bottle looked fake. Even though TJ Maxx does not allow you to return open boxed fragrances, I walked right back in (after just walking out & opening the box), and told the sales associate that it looked inauthentic. She told me because they are a discount store , that the packaging could be different and that’s how they can sell it for cheaper. I never knew that!!! Allegedly the juice is the same, packaging is cheaper. Knowing this, I womt repurchase from a discount store. I enjoy the original packaging; it, to me, is part of the experience.
Anyway, as to the fragrance….. it smells cheap. There’s a spicy element to it which I didn’t care for. Definitely smell thlike musky undertone. I just didn’t like it. So far, Viva La Juicy remains the winner in the Juicy Couture line in my opinion.

  27. :

Whoa! That’s the first thing I think of when I smell this fragrance. It’s so strong to me. It’s nothing like any other juicy fragrance. It’s not sweet at all. Please don’t buy if you like sweet smells. This definitely isn’t the one for you. Or me. Lol. It’s an earthy scent. It’s sharp and loud and in my opinion can be offensive if you get spray happy. The only plus for this fragrance for me is the beautiful bottle. Other than that it’s a no for me!

  28. :

    4 out of 5

I also had bought the wrong bottle, one with a hair elastic around the top instead of a turquoise bracelet. The main reason I had purchased this perfume was for that bottle. 🙁 The scent to me smells like I had expected. Similar to other juicy perfumes but instead of the sweetness it is strong in the grass notes. Like juniper almost but not quite. I suppose that is the “cassis” note. It is an interesting perfume I would have loved it more if I had the nice bottle.

  29. :

Peace Love and Juicy couture- how I hated you last summer when you came to me (bought wrong bottle by mistake)!
You were green, sharp, loud and not even the least hint of sweetness. I hated you and wanted to swap or throw you away! But I didn’t!
Now almost a year later I tried you on again after discovering more than just white flowers.
Peace Love and Juicy couture- yes you are green, sharp, loud and you don’t have any hint of sweetness! I’m sorry for I said I hated you! You are indeed strong and sharp- just the way I want to feel! Now you are my “pick me up” early mornings and daytime and you remind me of my need to put my self first in hand!
You have moderate silage and stays on my skin for about 5-6 hours. Suitable for women that knows what they want!

I personally wasn’t crazy about this fragrance because it didn’t last on me. 30 minutes and it totally vanished. I did want to let fans of this fragrance know though that TJ MAXX currently has bottles upon bottles of this stuff 3.4 oz for only $19.99! It has been discontinued so if you love it I suggest you go get it while you can. I saw 3.4’s for 20$ at two different TJ’s and one Marshalls. Get it while you can.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

It’s very earthy but crisp and fresh at the same time. The first time I tried it I hated it. But that had more to do with my preconceptions. I’m used to juicy cents being sweeter. Not so much the tuberose bomb of the original, but needless to say I was not expecting this fragrance to come out of that bottle. And what a beautiful bottle it is. Classic and bohemian. A bit like the fragrance. A zesty aromatic fragrance with a side of gritty. It’s become one of my favourites for its uniqueness and it’s uplifting abilities.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

The top note is absolutely lovely. It reminded me of Annick Goutal Petite Cherie and le Jasmine. After 5 minutes the frangrance turns into a sharp and pungent smell like a cheap perfume. Got it cheap in Australia anyway. Aud30 for 100ml. Overall I like this perfume but not crazy about it. Longevity is about 3 to 4 hours.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Peace, Love and Juicy Couture:~ Earthiness that truly smells of fresh dirt! That note is then beautifully blended through out with Citrus & Watermelon Jolly Ranchers!?! There is a floral denseness that keeps this scent truly Hippy Chic, & I really do love it! I am almost done with a full bottle, & I do intend to repurchase!

I purchased this perfume without knowing what it smells like especially on me. and OMG I am so glad i did, I am so in love with the scent, it smells clean, and has that earthy smell to it. this is one of my go to scents. I just love it…

It is definately not like the other JC fragrances which could account for the “dislikes”. I personally love this fragrance. Floral and green, fresh and clean. It is a perfect day fragrance for spring and summer and safe for the office. Well worth the 20$ blind buy!

  36. :

I had tested this years ago and remembered not liking it. Either my taste has changed or my expectations have. This reminds me a lot of A Scent by Issey Miyake, but where that one was a bit too sharp and bitter for me in the end, this one has a touch more sweetness and earthiness to round it out. I actually really like this scent for days when I’m sick of flowers and candy. Plus the bottle is pretty cute. Oh, and the price is great too!

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Spring flowers, sunshine and green grass in a bottle! A rather complex scent with a clear character considering this is from the house of Juicy Couture! An unexpected surprise!
If you are a gentleman who also loves women’s fragrances, this is the Juicy Couture for you, everything else that I have tested came across as overly feminine, stereotyped and somewhat lacking in personality. Peace, Love & Juicy Couture breaks this trend!
I am not one to focus on the notes as I write my review but I love to try and describe how it feels, it feels like you are an earth child, your priorities do not align with those imposed on you by society, you are a rebel, you have your own values… You are an activist, you fight for what matters to you! You are empathetic!! You are not competing with the girl in the little black dress wearing far too much makeup because you are… love, peace and most importantly, yourself!

I wanted to like this but I didn’t. It remainds me a lot of Honey by Marc Jacobs. I am returning it back from where I bought it. There is officially not a single Juicy Couture scent for me to like.

I bought Viva LJ when it first came out and loved it. Through the years I replaced the bottle several times but would then relegate it to the back. It is one of those scents that I always come back to because I guess it really does appeal to me. Whenever I smell it on a piece of my clothing I can’t stop sniffing. I tried this because it sounded intriguing and my first smell of it was a lot of different than what I had expected.
I was expecting something dirtier and heavier. As soon as I sprayed it I immediately remembered my obsession with Finesse shampoo in the 80s. It smells almost identical to the 80s version.
I love that smell so it’s okay with me. I don’t love it like I love VLJ but I had sprayed it on a shirt a week ago and put that shirt on last night and found that I loved the smell on clothing after a week;)

Honestly, I had bought this perfume to add on to my JC collection. I really liked the bottle. It was surprising since I prefer sweet scents. Yet this perfume I really like. It’s clean and fresh, It’s hard to describe but I smell the flowers with the leaves. It’s very earthy. I am so glad I have it.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

Given that its a citrus based perfume I thought it would be a little sour and overwhelming but no. It is delightfully sweet, fresh, very earthy and flowery as well. Very nice for spring.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

After reading the boards, I know this particular Juicy fragrance is not well received. However, I absolutely love it. To me, it’s fresh-cut grass and bright citrus. There is a slight sweetness to it, probably from the apple, but it’s very delicate. Peace, Love, and Juicy is a clean, outdoorsy sort of scent.
I would describe it as green and definitely unisex. It is not overwhelming, and it has a pretty average lasting power. I regret selling my bottle of this and will have to find another at some point.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

I adore this fragrance. I can understand the haters as it’s not like any other in the JC range. I feel the fragrance is perfectly matched to the look that JC were going with. This is to me Boho in a bottle. Earthy, fresh and relaxed. A great scent for day time. I love the little bit of bling on the bottle also. Cute.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

This is gorgeous and classic smelling – very similar to Cristalle and a scent by IM. A clear and green scent without any sweetness. It’s quite “grassy” and mossy and dries down wonderfully. I am not surprised that this one wasn’t a commercial success, the JC crowd expects at least a pinch of sugary sweetness 🙂 But if you’re a fan of the similar scents listed above – try this one out. Longevity and sillage are both moderate and the bottle as usual very beautiful!

  46. :

    4 out of 5

I bought this by mistake (Actually I thought I bought Viva la juicy) and eaven tough it is a very pretty scent I can’t wear it because the three main notes I feel is hyacinth, lemon and musk and sadly those gives me a headache…
I like it but not on me. My eight year son loves it so sometimes I allow him to wear it and lightly applied it smells lovely on him.
Longlivety is about 5-6 hours and radiates a little more than armslengt.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Though I don’t love it, it’s good enough for a daytime summer scent for me. Very outdoorsy, tangy, not sweet, energetic.

  48. :

    3 out of 5

I was on the lookout for a daytime summery office scent that would have remarkable longevity and arm’s length sillage.
I had tested this back when it first released and thought of it as a dusty green stem of a flower that is yet to bloom.
Six years later, I bought it based on my memory of how it smelled and it has not changed a bit.
    Suits my purpose: yes
    Interesting: yes, no, yes, undecided!
Price: bought through amazon for a very good deal
It smells of moss, maybe vetiver, hyacinth and a few lemon oil drops on a background of faint magnolia and lavender
I also do understand why it has garnered so many dislikes.. This is not what the Juicy Couture customer is looking for.. It is definitely above their target customer’s age and is not gourmand, candy-like or syrupy sweet. It is a dusty earthy floral mix.

  49. :

    4 out of 5

To me it smells like a fabulous and weird mix of Oscar de la Renta ‘Something Blue’, Chanel ‘Cristalle’ and Juicy Couture ‘La La’, which I found too teenage-y and bland . This is more grown up – lemony, grassy and discretely floral . Like a modern day Elizabeth Arden ‘Blue Grass’! I can see the hippie/70’s feel it has. It also have the classic Juicy Couture note, in the drydown. Usually I like heavy sweet and oriental fragrances so this is totally out of my regular ways. But I really like it – fresh, powdery, grassy. The bottle is so cute, and I was so dissapointed when I realized my 30 ml small bottle is not wearing any turquoise pearls or charms – only the bigger bottles does 🙁

  50. :

    4 out of 5

The longer I have it the more I love it. Let’s start with the fact that I actually bought it spontaneously and was curious if it’s really that bad as dislikes would suggest. I like flowery powdery a bit sweet scents. Not fan of any fresh cucumber watery thing. Tho, this thing is sucha weirdo, it feels dusty and fresh at the same time. I first had to think if I even would like to wear it but now I spray it always to keep my mood up. I think it’s great in warm humid weather(not too hot). It’s a very youngfull and classy at once, fresh scent. I really think that all those dislikes come from the people who expect candy

  51. :

    4 out of 5

I ordered a full size Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture, which i have a small bottle of, and this was sent to me by mistake. I thought i smelled apple & hyacinth instead of the watermelon and caramel i was expecting to be mixed with honeysuckle.
Cassis and orris are among my least favorite notes because they usually ruin perfume compositions for me but not in this case. They are not overpowering. The red apple, linden blossom, hyacinth and honeysuckle save the day. Thank goodness. Magnolia and poppy stand out to me too. I also find the patchouli to be pleasantly green without feeling dirty hippy on my skin at all. I like it and am hoping this will grow on me even more over time. I may just keep this one instead of sending it back.
Light projection. Lasts 4 hours that way until it turns into a skin scent for 2 more hours.

You are a classy, fresh, elegant one. For the nose of teenagers you may be a strong dose of grass, and moss. But NOOO. It is far cry from the big mossy, galbanum based old parfumes. It is very fresh, springlike, but can be worn all year round. It is close to Chanels.
Crystall clear, ozonic, fresh air and florals. No dirty, no earth, no hippy feeling. It is a Miss, a classy, happy, clean young creature.

This fragrance is far too sweet and floral for my tastes. It’s a scent for a more younger crowd, in my opinion (I’m 45). Thankfully, it wasn’t expensive. I ended up giving it to my daughter.

I had really high hopes for this perfume but I was disappointed with the scent.
I normally stay away from sweet smelling perfume which is why I didn’t own any of the Juicy Couture fragrances.
Over the past few months however, my taste have been evolving quite a bit and had this overwhelming crave for a fruity/sweet scent; so naturally I thought that something from this line would suit me well.
This smelled really “minty” on me and had no sweet/fruity notes at all. I don’t like perfumes with mint notes because all I can think about, is the fact that I smell of toothpaste.

PLJC was marketed as a bohemian hippie type scent, but not like a real 1960s Woodstock type hippie. The kind of hippie Juicy Couture has in mind are rich girl hippies who buy overpriced pre-distressed jeans, like Blake Lively’s character in the movie Savages (2012). To that end, I think Juicy Couture hits the nail on the head and I actually really like their interpretation of modern hippie that they went with.
This perfume does smell earthy, but not in a full-blown patchouli way. PLJC smells like green vegetables and soil. There is a good hint of iris. It is cool and fresh. It also smells very lemony. So while earthy, is also rather clean feeling. The drydown is actually a little spicy and there is a hint of fruitiness. Just about the girliest earthy green floral you can imagine. As is typical with Juicy Couture, the lasting power is on the weaker side, reapplication becomes necessary for a full day of being out and about.
I think it’s interesting, but Juicy Couture clientele expect variations on Viva La Juicy so it was not a commercial success and got discontinued but it’s still easily found at discounters like TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall´s etc. I think it´s unfortunate it was so disliked as I think it´s marketing concept is executed well and it´s actually a unique scent not only for Juicy Couture but for designer and mainstream scents in general.

Wow, if someone had told me this was a great accomplishment in niche perfumery I wouldn’t argue the point (not being that knowledgeable about citrus/floral scents)! And I’d say it’s unisex, at least for the niche crowd. At first the floral elements are as strong as the fruit one, then it’s the fruit with the powdery/iris element. There’s also a very mild patchouli and amber/vanilla thing, as one finds in A*Men type scent bases. At first the “quality” may not quite be niche level, but after a short while it really comes together. The drydown is more designer-like, as it’s about the pleasantness of the blend more than a focus on a note or accord. I didn’t get much of a grassy, mushroom-like, or plastic quality, the way some others did, thankfully, and the citrus lasts a long time without ever being metallic. I’m quite surprised by how interesting and pleasant it is.

There is nothing floral about this. The first time I sprayed it, I was disappointed. I prefer gourmands and white florals. This one seemed like sweet mushrooms and grass. After the initial spray it starts to have a plastic bag smell while its drying down. I think that’s the patchouli, which is a version of patchouli I do not care for. After I took a shower, I smelled my wrist and it wasn’t bad, but not particularly good. A muted version of the perfume.
The bottle is beautiful, stunning, and very heavy glass. It’s a shame that the perfume inside was so bleh. It’s not exactly offensive, it’s just not something I would spray all over myself and enjoy. I do not have a taste for this one.

Ugh! I literally had to run to the restroom to wash this off when I tryed it on at Kohls. I wondered what could cause the funky, dirty smell I got & I think it was the cassis & ora root that just did not mix well with my skin chemistry. Patchouli is one of the few grassy scents that I can wear, so I doubt it was the patchouli. If grassy scents work well with your skin chemistry, then give it a try, but I definetly would not blind buy this one. Test it first.

Love this. White flowers, green, honeysuckle, and though not one of the notes, I get a very definite gardenia with undertone of slight musk. This is definitely one of the better Juicy perfumes. This can be a very loud perfume if you overdo it. The dry down does take some time so if you have to go to church or work, apply as soon as you are out of the bath.

Quirky, interesting and free! Moderate silage and longevity.

This is COMPLETELY different from the other Juicys. So green and fresh, it smells just like Escada Magnetism on my skin, whi
