Description
Paul Smith presents Rose Summer Edition as a summer edition in which the dominant flower is rose, typical of Paul Smith editions. Fragrant pleasure of Rose edition is reinterpreted through summer edition decorated with sunny aspects and good mood, ideal for use in summer season.
Rose Summer Edition was developed by perfumer Antoine Maisondieu of such notes as violet and currant buds in top notes combined with green tea and sweet aquatic watermelon notes.
A heart blooms with characteristic Paul Smith rose combined with green tea, Damascus rose and iris adding discretely seductive light accents. A base is warm and woody, created of amber, light musk and sandalwood.
Paul Smith Rose Summer Edition was designed with an intention to be cheerful, dashing and spontaneous. The new flacon is in tune with the theme, created of yellow and white nuances resembling sun rays, which reflect spirit of the composition. Its outer carton is also yellow, with picture of rose with pale yellow petals on the box. The perfect contrast to yellow is strong pink cyclamen nuance of name of the fragrance, giving a strong and clear summer effect. The fragrance will be available as 100 ml EDT as a limited edition from January 2010.

The summer rose here is dewy and very fresh; on my skin it has good silage and very good lasting power, it’s clean and very chic. I smell Granny Smith apples in the beginning, followed by watermelon and roses; the roses are light and luminous, not very perfumey, rather crisp, and blended with linden tree flowers; the drydown is musky on me, very clean. What I like most is the fact that there’s no pepper which is usually associated with light colored roses, or sweetness associated with fruits. Really beautiful. If there is a scent it resembles, that is Rose d’ete from La Rosine. The bottle is heavy and original/funky, a pleasure to hold, spray, smell, and look at!
This 2010 edition is yellow roses at their best. Not voluptuous like the red roses, not angelic , like rose or white roses, but modern and fresh and a little off in a good way like yellow ones. Thanks to NathalieZ I got this beauty!
Almost identical to Rose d’ete from Rosine.

Very different from the original Rose but still smells like rose which is combined with tea, very refreshing & smells clean indeed.I found it a bit similar to lancome miracle so magic and Ralph Lauren Romance.I like the original Rose and summer 2009 better bc the rose smells more elegant and real but this one still smells good tho not utterly original.
Edit: been wearing this for 2 weeks now and received good compliments from my friends at college. On my skin the tea note is more prominent and I do get the juicy real watermelon note at the beginning. Warm and soft on the drydown with the sandalwood note lingering on my skin. I’m starting to like it more bc of the tea note. The only thing that I regret is the staying power. It’s weak, only last not more than 4 hours on my skin and the sillage is pretty decent. A youthful and pretty scent, not to be mentioned my mother loves it too.
BTW nice packaging & love the heavy yellow opaque bottle.

Absolutely gorgeous!
My mother owns it and the sillage and lasting power are impressive.
I liked Paul Smith La Rose, but this summer edition is even better. It’s a very femenine fragrance. Rose is soft and there are some green notes on top, but nothing fruity (fortunately).
The middle notes are clean and powdery.
But seriously, lasting power and sillage are extraordinary.
