Patchouli is my favorite note in perfume. Ok maybe tied with labdanum, so this is a perfect perfume for me!
It’s boozy, rich, warm, delicious and lasting. I have so many patchouli perfumes but this is the one I reach for the most! A total surprise to me, but I adore it. I wear it day, night and also for bedtime.
Plus you can’t beat the price, and I love that it’s natural and no dyes.

An almost edible patchouli – therapeutic and comforting. A bit boozy with some good bourbon whisky. Plenty of warm, earthy and ambery patchouli sweetened up with fine vanilla. Seems like it also has some tonka in it to me.
I really like this and it’s got quite a lot of body at first, it feels like it should be strong and long lasting and it ‘almost’ gets all gorgeous and chewy, I wish it did. Unfortunately the sillage and longevity are moderate at best. After the initial delicious blast it fades to a skin scent rapidly and is almost gone within three hours. If it was a bit stronger it would be a big love for me – a gourmand patchouli, yes please! – Still, it does smell great and I spritz away liberally when I’m at home and have it at hand to reapply regularly.
I think I will try layering it over something resinous to see if I can make it stick for longer. Excellent as a quick pick me up mood enhancer.

This is a patchouli cognac. This stuff features an accord of hard, brown liquor. Like many patchouli fragrances, this features vanilla. But the patchouli is not ruined by an overdose of vanilla. Rather, it’s accompanied by the natural sweetness of the resins.

Acorelle-Patchouli Essential- First off, Thank you Dr. Marlen Harrison for the free sample I requested after reading your article on this fragrance, no worries about being pounced on or my claws raking the chalk board after posting my request or threats on your article page for this fragrance sample, lol. I received the sample safely, Thank you. I have worn it and here is my review.
Folks this is highroller, the Patchouli Monster’s review. I love this Patchouli. WOW! This is the most drunk Patchouli I have ever tried. Just opening the container I was met with a potent whiff of Whisky. This is one boozed up Patchouli. After applying on my skin the aroma was warm, boozy, earthy, exotic, sensual. All this needed was a cannabis note and this would be Woodstock in a bottle.
Folks The patchouli is the main player here, but the way Myrrh and Labdanum caress patchouli is pure exotic luxury. I am a lover of Labdanum so the grouping of these three fragrant behemoths is heavenly to me. Myrrh adds silkiness to the intimacy while the whisky note, which is not mentioned in the pyramid, adds a forbidden sinfulness to the holy union, but slowly dissipates as time rolls on. I am glad that vanilla stays very low in the mix as well as Vetiver, these two only give a slight peep into the heated passions between Patchouli, Myrrh and Labdanum. Clary sage lends a leathery scent, while amber and opoponax just linger in the air like incense filling a bohemian hippy den.
This is a wonderful all natural Patchouli right up there with my favorite, Tunisian Patchouli by Kuumba Made. Being the Patchouli Monster, I have many patchouli blends. This is a new forever friend in my vast Patchouli collection.
This has a very long longevity, lasting all day and night even to the next day. The sillage is heavy, I was able to smell this on myself for the full duration as well as others 5 to 10 feet away asking who is wearing Patchouli. Even my territorial markings smell of this boozy patchouli, the neighborhood alley cats all glaring envious. Heheh!
Welcome Acorelle Patchouli Essential, I love you, come home to Daddy.

Thank you for adding this! This is my favorite patchouli of all of those I’ve tried. It’s like a patchouli oil, but slightly more refined, with that sort of cocoa-like quality in it. The green, tartness that’s in patchouli oil (when it’s fresh) is nowhere to be found, which is nice. This EDP smells earthy-sweet and rich and dark like aged patchouli oil.
This lasts all day, but isn’t too overwhelming, and is awesome for layering. Plus it’s natural.

Lovely patchouli! This is a very invigorating scent as such, but it’s also excellent for layering. It adds some nuances and depth to fragrances that seem a bit “lackluster”. Lasts quite long with a good sillage.
