Description
Yves Saint Laurent launches limited editions of the cult perfume Paris every year, celebrating rose in the most romantic way. Paris Premieres Roses is a skillfully created version of the classic perfume Paris, surrounded with carefully selected flowers blooming in spring.
Pomegranate scents open the composition and romantically announce the opulent floral bouquet of Centifolia rose, peony, lily of the valley, bellflower, velvety violet and refreshing orange blossom. The gentle embrace of white peony in a soft and sensual way retrains the floral choir in the heart. Creamy accords warming the skin arrive from precious sandalwood staying in the base along with white musk.
Paris Premieres Roses 2013 arrives in a pink flacon shaped like Paris and numerous limited editions, in the amount of 125 ml Eau de Toilette Legere. Jubilant edition.

Can not wear the original Paris, sadly. This is my “wear to church” scent. My classy, elegant, feminine floral. I brought this with me from my grandmother’s house after she died. Her best-friend from Florida had sent it to her as a gift and she loved it and wore it often. It is special to me and always will be. I tend to wear it in the summer months for special occasions, too. Sometimes, I pick up the bottle and just sniff and remember my beautiful grandmother who loved flowers and roses, in particular.

It’s not that I don’t WANT to like the original Paris, I really do – But I just CAN’T. But with this – YES.
It’s like somebody att YSL read my mind: “Oh I see!; It’s this and that that you don’t like. No problem! We’ll just replace it with this and that that you DO like! What do you think?”
And I think: YES! This is exactly what I wanted! Like a laundromat rose-bouquet with fresh blooming rose-hip bushes on the side. Not exactly “Paris” – More like …”Grandmas Garden”.
The violets, rosehips and the bluebells. Mixed with a soapy musk.
This is spring/summer in an adorable little bottle.

Bottle and packaging is truly beautiful, almost irresistable. The opening of fresh delicate rose supported by carefully selected supporting flower notes makes my heart melt. It then evolves into, or perhaps I should say dissapears into, a creamy lotion type of skin scent. Lovely but with moderate sillage.

Initially I was impressed with this perfume. Nice Rosey, powdery scent but not overpowering in anyway. I thought it was perfect but after wearing it for a few weeks now I must admit I find it quite unremarkable. It is virtually undetectable on me after a few minutes. I ask everyone if they like my perfume and they say ‘what perfume?’ Must be my body chemistry I suppose. So disappointed with this one.

Smells like the Paris lotion!

This is lovely! A soft, fresh rose with a clean creamy base. It is a bit soapy but without the iris that is so typical. It makes for a beautiful, clean creamy rose that doesn’t get lost in a musty haze. It stays close to the skin which I love and is very easy to wear. It lasted on my skin for about 8 hours! At the final stage of drydown it smelled just like Nivea cream! I love it!

Working my way through this Paris edition because it simply doesn’t last long. Light airy whisper of roses with a creamy white musky base, oh how I wish it would stay with me longer and not be in such a hurry to disappear.

I love Paris, and this version indeed reminds me of the original perfum but… it is too light. After 20 minutes it becomes almost a nonexistent scent. I know it’s still there, on my skin, but I don’t feel like I’m wearing perfum at all. I didn’t expect such a poor sillage.
Still, the scent itself is a really soft beautiful rose scent. Creamy and a little bit soapy too.

Light, soft and powdery.
Very pleasant skin scent, but on me not very long lasting.
I couldn’t wear Paris, so was thrilled when I could wear this 2013 version.
My feeling is this is a nice daytime fragrance, for spring/summer.
