To me this fragrance is all about Lilly-of-the-valley. I didn’t even know about any other notes until I’ve read about them. After reading I searched for the other notes extensively. Still, magnolia is non-existent for me, pure Lilly-of-the-valley.
This fragrance is the best from all of them, one of the bestsellers for Bergdorf Goodman. Followed by number 9 and 5.

MAGNOLIA + WOOD & AMBER
______________________________________________________
Today I visited the Bottega Veneta Corner in a luxury department store. There I was told that there are several other notes in this fragrance than magnolia. the 2 most predominant are Wood and Amber.
It doesn’t last too much, but there wasn’t anything in this fragrance, which I wanted to last at all.
Longevity: – 2/10
Sillage: – 1/10
All in all: 1 out of 10 subjective points -> I expected a lot more for that high price.

Open like a real fresh magnolia. That lemony soapy flowery smell. Than in a few minuts turns into a more orange blossom version of palais jamais. Remains between palais jamais and azahar/saharienne
Nice. Nothing special. All this line is anything of exceptional.

I gotta hand it to them—this is a really good magnolia! Quite realistic and multifaceted even though it only has one “note,” but I do prefer Jo Malone’s interpretation a little more, and for $300 I’d rather get one of the Le Gemme Imperiali from Bvlgari.

‘Parco Palladiano I’ opens brightly and promisingly with an unfurling of magnolia blossom, its majestic sweetness prominent for all to behold. The flower’s waxy scent feels amplified by a sheer musk which compliments but never seems to overwhelm the fragrance. It’s as though summer’s humidity and heat are carrying the magnolia’s pervasive yet delicate white scent through the air like a mist. Faint lemony nuances are relegated to the background, much like the true odor of a freshly opened magnolia bloom. Traces of warmth evolve via amber and unspecified woods in the drydown (perhaps a dusting of oak moss is added for contrast), but the true star of this “solifore” creation remains the magnolia. Its heady aroma encapsulates its audience, transporting them to a mist-filled summer morning amongst the bucolic terrains of Italy.
‘Parco Palladiano I’ begins the new luxury collection of fragrances from Bottega Veneta off on solid footing. Its straightforward, no fuss approach is certainly appreciated. When something is inherently beautiful, it does not demand pretense or garnishment. Never soapy, never powdery, and never old-fashioned, with ‘Parco Palladiano I’ perfumer Michel Almairac has created a modern magnolia scent which is impeccably balanced. The composition as a whole offers little transition from first application to drydown, apart from the inner core of musc/amber and woods becoming more prominent after the upper magnolia blossom’s scent has had time to scintillate away. It is a quiet, demure scent, one meant for contemplating the beautiful natural world around us. Sillage and projection are light, with longevity above average for this “eau de parfum”. Although marketed unisex, this first scent in the collection leans strongly feminine due to its strong floral focus. Equally suitable for casual day and more formal evening wearings, ‘Parco Palladiano I’ is an extremely versatile offering. The sun’s warming rays of Spring and Summer will surely highlight the elegance and radiance of this most splendid creation.
