Helenic – :
Today i dressed up in full Edwardian and big hat and was taken to the Bourton-on-the-Water Cotswold Perfumery for my birthday treat.i already have big bottles of Cymbelline and Ruby, and they are all amazing……today,my chaperone bought me a 25ml Pallas.i have sniffed this on the glass rods in this Perfumery since i could reach,as i am a local.it just took me so long to obtain it,because it is the most expensive one !
This is such a pure lovely jasmine, not rough jasmine like in coty l’aimant.this jasmine is the sweetest smoothest thing that smells like it was grown in Grasse in the Chanel fields, which is why it reminds me of the ed.cologne version of Chanel no 5.i cannot stop sniffing my wrists ! I will definitely save up for a big bottle ! Each bottle comes with the memory of Bourton-on-the-Water and its charm too !

Ah this makes me feel pretty!
I blind bought this and was a little hesitant as jasmine can be a bit cloying or cheap smelling in some things (Jean Patou’s Eau De Joy has not yet bloomed well on me, its jasmine smells too brash) but this just made me feel decidedly pretty. I felt like I should be wearing a floaty white dress instead of my winter gear!
It was a light and soft jasmine, quite creamy almost with all the sharp edges smoothed away, terribly innocent.
The official notes I found online are:
Jasmine
Clove
Ambergris
Oakmoss
I can’t pinpoint them in this, it is beautifully blended.
Sillage and lasting power for such a delicate seeming perfume were surprisingly good.
Nicely done and the best out of the four I smelt so far (Ruby, Amber, Cymbelline weren’t bad but this tops them. Amber is a close second despite being a men’s though.)
