Pale Fire by Maison Anonyme is a Oriental fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Pale Fire was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Christopher Gordon. Top notes are cacao pod, licorice and cassia; middle notes are orris root, turkish rose and magnolia; base notes are tolu balsam, benzoin, labdanum and tonka bean.

Pale Fire is an absolute show-stopper. I made my way to the Maison Anonyme booth at the San Francisco Pop Up exhibit, with intent to try L’Immortel. Lovely flower, but it was Pale Fire that caught my eye.
We all have individual preferences on notes. ‘Warning flag’ notes for me include: tonka, labdanum, orris, and cassis leaf, so Pale Fire didn’t initially make the To Try list. SO glad it wasn’t overlooked!
On my skin, it’s a cacao-benzoin ride with a floral facets and licorice. Chocolate is more subdued than Nomaterra’s Datura. Pale Fire feels like a more unisex version of En Voyage’s Zelda.
Longevity is top notch. Out of the dozen or so blotters I took home from the event, this one’s going strongest the morning after. Need to get in on this action.
