Could this be one of the most loved Women’s fragrances of all time?
If the glowing reviews with bunches of balloons do not signal it’s appeal enough, try smelling it.
I join a few other male reviewers on here, though I accidentally ordered this instead of the well regarded male version, Oxygene Homme.
My partner is in for a treat though.
At first I thought I had a light Woody, green fresh scent, then it was apparent on the dry down I had a beautiful milky, floral musk.
I gathered it was unisex but much more Feminine.
I wish I could wear this, to my novice male nose, it brings to mind glimpses of the late 90s and in particular the 2002 classic Dior Addict.
The floral aspect of gardenia and rose coupled with milk, creates a smooth, opulent bouquet.
Sandalwood and musk broaden the accord with just enough lift from the citrus and pepper.
Beautiful, certified Classic.

HELP!!! I need some Oxygen 2L please… This fragrance is so breath taking!! I loved this fragrance since 2001 and loving the new version as well..
rwmsaoifxfcx – :
Fresh and velvety at the same time.
Fresh musky “oceanic” scent of washing powder mixed with sweeter velvety note (milky scent of skin) + powdery iris / violet / sandalwood + echo of anise and peper.
It’s scent of fresh laundry, like a mix of washing powder and steam during ironing + milky scent of some starched fabrics when heated.
KotoffMatroskin – :
Oxygene wears so floral on me not woodsy or aquatic just extremely floral and I love that. I love this so much!!!
dth181elipseskism – :
I wore this almost exclusively from the age of 20 to 30 but changed it eventually about 10yrs or so ago. If there is anybody else who used to feel the same about this please contact me, I’m curious to hear what your favourite fragrance is today.
milovan69 – :
Great notes, milk, iris, gardenia, there are way too few milk fragrances in the perfume market. Anyway, this sells for 16 pounds and is readily available in the uk, but hard to find and expensive in the us, so shop international.

My Nieghbor’s Mother-in-law wears this. While visiting (we were hanging out having lunch together) The topic of perfüme came up. The M.I.L raved about this perfüme. She said she had some with her. Asked me if I wanted to try some now. She’d be happy to spray it. My Nieghbor had this look of fear on her face and yelled in a panic. “No!”Don’t. Please Don’t. Not here. Then quickly said, it’s because we were eating. Well, M.I.L pulled a big full bottle of this out of her purse. (No Kidding). Filled up a little travel spritzer and kindly gave it to me. After she left my Nieghbor said she hates it. It stinks. I thought maybe it’s because it’s her MIL scent. Well,as I left I decided to freshen up my lipstick in my car and decided to give my newly gifted perfüme a go. It’s awful. I don’t get any specific notes because it’s not that type of perfüme. But, at first it’s spicy strong. Not in a good way. After that it just smelled of old spray on deodorant or cheap cologne. Gave me a wicked headache too.I don’t get anything fresh or airy at all. As far as longevity. My car reeked for three days for a couple of spritz. But, honestly, the mom-in-law who gave it to me loves it. She claims she wears it almost daily. She never smells badly. So, who knows.
Stavros – :
I just read Hedward’s review which says “…. Before I start talking about the scent itself I must quote a reviewer (guest_Vie Cafe) here: “In early 2000s, perfumes, it seems, were created and blended in a way where all the notes were coming at you in one punch of nondescript recognizable scent. You could tell what someone was wearing by name, but you could not identify any note”.
Spot on. Lanvin Oxygene is no exception – it’s blended to absolute perfection. Yes, I can name some of the notes: musk, sandalwood, hints of spacey iris and peppery gardenia… the thing is however that they form an unison ….”
The one word which leapt out to me from the quote from _Vie Cafe is “nondescript”. That to me is not at all apt for Oxygene. Nondescript means “lacking distinctive or interesting features or characteristics” but Oxygene DOES have interesting features and characteristics, mainly the contrast between the pepperiness of the opening and the creaminess and floral combo. Also, at least some of the notes in Oxygene CAN be easily defined, plus Oxygene is not a perfume many people would be able to know by name what the wearer is wearing unlike, say, Poison, Angel, etc, which ARE more ‘slap you around the face’ kind of perfumes and are far more ubiquitous (very unfortunately, in the case of Angel which I detest and which totally turns my stomach!!).
So, just because a perfume is more subtle and less immediately definable than the stinkbomb types does NOT mean it’s nondescript!! It’s the kind of distinction, say, between sexy and slutty – one is more toned down and subtle, the other is in-your-face and brazen! Personally, I prefer wearing perfumes that are not so definable that 99.9% of people who smell me would immediately know exactly what I was wearing …. better to have some mystery!
awesomering – :
I bought this as a blind buy, seeing all the positive reviews. Unfortunately the chemistry with me is totally wrong. I never understood how a good quality perfume could make anyone feel sick-now I know. This literally makes me nauseated, probably because of the milk- to me it smells like freshly boiled milk, which makes me instantly sick.I tried it in different weather, both warm and cold and unfortunately I had to give up and gave it to my mother who loves it.
bfv186 – :
Beautiful scent, I am surprised too see so many ppl talk about Oxygene having poor longevity my bottle isn’t current it’s the original formula my bottle is from (2001) this has incredible staying power. I love it! ❤️
filemon – :
More often than not, this peppery perfume opens on my skin with a realistic blast of fresh, crisp…celery. Complete with the watery crunch and disappointment at the lack of substance.
Later it gets musky and sweet and the milk comes through, giving it an almost Chai effect as the pepper continues to bite through a slightly denser veil of creaminess. I get a little delicate rose, something heady and white but not necessarily “gardenia,” and in the final shift I can pull out my beloved iris, cool amid the warm sandalwood.
I really enjoy this, even if I have to first sit through a very strange first phase.
zakevgeniy – :
Sometimes i like it on my skin, sometimes not.
It is soft, clean, soapy, sweet sent. But sometimes it slightly smells like medicine??

– Dreaming room – ★★★★☆
So, I ordered myself a very cheap bottle of Lanvin Oxygene in the hope of getting myself a more affordable Feu d’Issey Light. Turns out this is the fragrance that the happy go lucky girl wears during daytime when she is preparing her nostrils for a night full of Gucci Rush. In other words – Oxygene is hopelessly 90’s, early 00’s but in the most bittersweet nostalgic loving memory way. My soul is truly crying for this lost avant garde experimental fun genre that was so abundant in the 90’s designer fragrances. Sure, there are niche options released year after year but they’re never as refined or true to the decade.
Yes, I can name some of the notes: musk, sandalwood, hints of spacey iris and peppery gardenia… the thing is however that they form an unison, a singular scent that cannot be really divided into pieces unlike todays style of fragrances. I’m so sick and tired of all the “LOOK, I CONTAIN OUD” “HEY IT’S ME, AMBER” fragrances that don’t even try to be something creative new. The lack of artistry is real – just pick a note and support it. Fragrances like Angel, Oxygene and even Poison are immediately identifiable because only they possess this certain singular accord that is the core of their identity. Call me biased but the great era of perfumery is sadly long gone. I’m patiently waiting for a counter-movement against this endless overflow of oud and ambroxan so we could once more have designer fragrances that are fun and clever. The change is already on it’s way – 90’s house has been ressurected (now called lo-fi house and future funk) and latex is back in mainstream style again.
Moving on. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, luckily these rare gems still exist. I wouldn’t call Oxygene a groundbreaking masterpiece but it certainly has some very unique qualities that transport me. It’s easy to wear and airy but vigilant and certainly does radiate. Not even close to the milkiness of the masterpiece that is Feu d’Issey but there surely is a fleeting abstract white texture to Oxygene that keeps my nose reaching for my wrist. Can’t wait to shower in this peculiar blue liquid. Cheers!

papa_12345 – :
I surprised that no one mentions how woody this is. It so big on that sandalwood.
Gymnkeymnpyncsd – :
Very peppery indeed. Nothing too spicy though. It’s smooth, milky, truly nice. I don’t understand the name ‘oxygene’ as it is rather like some oriental dessert, semi spicy and semi milky.
vasekk – :
I really like this scent. As others have said, Oxygene (to me) is not an aquatic fragrance.
It opens a little sharp but quickly dissipates into something clean and fresh that lingers in the room.
It has a spicy element to it (the white pepper). The dry down is powdery, soft, and pleasant– it truly is an inoffensive fragrance that would work in an office environment and for daytime wear.
This is definitely one of my favorites for the summer. The heat brings out the scent more.
The longevity and sillage are disappointing. After 2 hours I can’t smell it, so this is one you’d need to reapply to get its full effect. Stick to the wrists for a refresher, and your collar bone if it’s exposed.
I plan to use this sparingly as it’s been discontinued, so you’re more likely to find it on a few websites online. I don’t see myself repurchasing it because the few bottles left have probably over-stayed their shelf-life, which will lead to stale-smelling perfume.
Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
marko-combo – :
Do you have the one which is actually “just ok” for you, but you miss it to the death when the bottle is not arround?
I had. This Lanvin.
Oxygene.
Lanvin missed the colour of the bottle, but picked the name perfectly.
I don’t think about it, I just use it. Works as one of my reset-fragrances.
I wear it summer after summer after summer. And when the bottle is gonne I … well, that’s why it is called Oxygene.
It is creamy, mild, fresh, clean, unintrussive, light but present – more like the classy bodymilk or deodorant than like perfume, but in a good way.
Very unpretentious – I wear it as “no-perfume” perfume, in my leasure time.
It’s discontinued, but still available and by the current price bordering on bargain. I have the bottle in reserve, to “just like it” from time to time, and don’t miss it and don’t forget it.
*like
*silage: moderate (arms lenght)
*longevity: moderate plus (up to 8 hours)
*discontinued (but available at affordable price)
*weather/season/time: Any/all year round. Suitable for hot weather conditions (30+ C). Casual daytime scent.
PS
Oxygene is the only “aquatic” that I ever loved and wore, because I don’t go very well with this group. So, chances are that all the reviewers who disagreed with the label “aquatic” are very much right, or Oxigene is – at least – not at all like any typical representative of this group.
Beware, aquatic lovers.
vitalik125 – :
I have to agree with the reviewers below who reiterate that Oxygene is NOT an aquatic. This does not feel like an aquatic to me because there’s not a lot of citrus and none of that fake fresh Cool Water smell. It’s airy if anything, like a breeze. Oxygene could be worn in any season, even summer. There is a powdery feel to the sandalwood and iris dry down, but not enough to make this a powdery scent. The rose feels like an opening rosebud, very natural and green, more like a rose plant.
Oxygene is the first scent in which I was ever able to detect black pepper as an herbal scent. The pepper is very evident, but I wouldn’t call it strong since nothing about Oxygene is “strong.” The pepper and milk smell much better than it sounds like they would…I mean “pepper and milk” sounds kind of gross like gravy ingredients, but it is a splendid combination here.
In the end there is something I can’t identify that reminds me of Calvin Klein’s Truth, though they don’t share notes. Fresh but rich at the same time. Maybe it’s that they share a creator (Alberto Morillas).
kelevro – :
This is a very fresh and unique scent. It is not aquatic but it does give off that cleaning product smell in the opening which is okay but the dry down is so worth it because it turns into something so soft after it sits on your skin. I blind bought this with two other fragrances and this is my favorite out of the three of them. I’m planning on buying the 2.5oz bottle because this is a must have for the summer along with D&G light blue and Balenciaga skin.
Selihov-1987 – :
As a HUGE fan of Oxygene (which has been one of my best blind buy perfumes so far in the past few years since I started buying perfumes online) I feel the need to clarify something:
Oxygene is NOT (and I repeat … NOT!!) an aquatic perfume. I’ve read over and over again reviews on here saying that it doesn’t smell like an aquatic perfume, that the reviewers “didn’t get the aquatic in this perfume”, that aquatic scents don’t work on them, etc, etc, etc.
The only reason I can think of why anybody would assume this is an aquatic perfume is from a) misleading reviews and b) the colour of the scent itself which is a lovely ‘tropical seas’ shade of blue.
Also, someone has compared Oxygene to Bath and Body Works Sea Island Cotton. I can see why that comparison may have sprung to mind BUT Oxygene is SOOO much better than Sea Island Cotton. I had a bottle of SIC (another blind internet buy!) and really didn’t like it at all, even though I love clean smelling perfumes. It was very cheap smelling to my nose, very ‘shrill’ and just smelled of cheap fabric softener / dryer sheets.
Oxygene is a perfume with a surprising peppery kick in the beginning, oddly straddling the florals, but that quickly dissipates (in about 5 minutes on me!), becoming a very soft, creamy yet floral, clean, fresh out of the shower, ‘cuddly’ perfume. On me it smells very much like an expensive, lovely creamy body lotion / triple milled, exquisite smelling soap.
Despite being such a soft, clean smelling perfume, on me Oxygene lingers FOREVER (especially if I spritz a little in the small of my back or on my tummy) and outlasts many perfumes that are far more expensive (and overpriced!). I only need one or two spritzes and never need to reapply it because it lasts so long! It garners many compliments and is perfect for me to wear anytime, anywhere.
I’d be lost now without my Oxygene and if I had to get rid of all of my numerous perfumes and only keep one this would be the one (well, OK, along with my Pacifica French Lilac perfume!!), even though I like to not stick to using just one perfume all the time. It’s pretty much perfect for me and I love it now just as much as I did when I first encountered it several years ago!! It’s a real gem. 🙂
Rensik – :
I had high hopes for this one and fell in love with the beautiful futuristic bottle. No milk on me, first seconds I can smell a bit of freshness but then it transforms into a more sweet and rather elegant smell, but with a slight “metallic” note. No smell of rain of thunder or freshness on my skin :/
very similar to Paco Rabanne Pour Elle Indeed.
artemfortov – :
Blue bottle and “oxygen” in name is trigger for me. But wisely I tried it rather than blind buy. Not bad, but for me to plain and synthetic. Dispite the good price, I will just pass this one.

I have both versions of Oxygene and use them often in the spring/summer. They each smell fantastic on their own, but I use a couple sprays of the female version on my skin and a couple sprays of the male version on my clothes. To me the layering of the two smells out of this world. Both versions are a must in a collection.
medik-35 – :
My third bottle and this time I get the milk-note. Warm soft pepper, milk, musk, Gardenia and sandalwood is what i get on my skin. A great scent with good sillage and very longlasting on my skin. perfect for warmer weather – for you who don’t like just citruses for hot sunny weather. Often a bargin-price and easy to find on internet. worth trying.
alex1622 – :
I just got this a few days ago and I can NOT stop sniffing my arm after I spray it! Oh my goodness, it smells so good! I was afraid it would have an empty, lonely, sad feeling that I get with some ozone perfumes or aquatic. No, this is not an ozone perfume at all, it’s just called Oxygen and I’m not sure why. Not aquatic either, just the beautiful blue perfume tricking your mind. Nope, no ozone or aquatic. This is very lovely and cozy. First spray I get the blast of iris, rose and bergamot with a tartness/sweetness. Then immediately the creamy/milky comes in, then slight spicy/powdery…very slightly. Stays a little tart, but only a little…very little. It is all blended so perfect that there is nothing in the notes that comes forward in an overwhelming, annoying or irritating way. Not cloy at all but just two sprays fills a room with loveliness. I threw my shirt in the dirty clothes basket and the next day when I went to launder my shirt, I could still smell a soft hint of the perfume still lingering. I keep getting the sinse I have smelled this gorgeous perfume before but can’t put my finger on it. I will try to edit when it come to me if it ever does. I never smelled the gardenia in this. It is definitely a pillow sprayer. I would wear this all year around all day. Oh gosh, I can’t stop smelling of it! Not a regret blind buy at all…no way!
fregat100 – :
Now that I know it is so cheap I am planning to buy some bottles of it. Back in 2000 when they launched I was a poor student and had no money to buy it, and I loved it! When bumped into it here on Frangrantica I immediately remembered how it smelled, I had forgotten it’s existence! Glad to know it is still around. I will buy it for sure!
Olennikova – :
Nicw gardenia/iris scent. I do get a little bit of the milk pepper and ozone in the drydown, but it’s primarily floral on me.
sergiugarabajii1998 – :
I really like it. It’s fresh, peppery and creamy/milky at the same time. In a way I think it smells like the turn of the millennium, somehow. I can’t explain.
goga_sergei – :
This is a great scent
fresh spicy and powdery..blue..
it’s for all seasons.
Longevity and projection are good.
it’s a legendary masterpiece from lanvin.
mariya100985 – :
Really a very nice and fresh scent. Unfortunately I find it boring very fast. I say unfortunately since I get plenty of compliments every time I wear it.
bustyhentaimovies – :
Ahhh I love this one it’s warm creamy goodness with hints of pepper and flowers…. Oh dear! It’s not aquatic at all definitely I would say a unisex frag! Although on my skin it’s a luxurious cup of warm milk with a decadent mix of delicate flowers each shine holding their own and the pepper sprinkled on top it’s musky and a wee bit woody but over all a fresh twist to it maybe the bergamot balances it. So good so interesting! Definitely refreshing for me considering I’m a gourmand freak but I’m not afraid to change it up! And this is a great change from time to time. Comforting refreshing all in one! Longevity for me is about 8hrs sillage is moderate and wearing it is pure bliss!
Lekvaz1 – :
Think I love this but will wear longer to see. Very clean and works for all seasons.
grey93 – :
Thanks, jana.hollinghorst. It seems that you are right. Such a shame, as I was specifically looking forward to smell the milky note.
4drain – :
I’d like to speak to the review below mine: I believe that the newer stock of this fragrance lacks the milk note. I’ve had two bottles of this stuff and the second bottle wasn’t anywhere as creamy as the first. Such a disappointment!
edvard7074 – :
I had high hopes for this one because of the reviews here. Received my bottle yesterday, and it disappointed me. I guess I have to correct my understanding of what a milky scent is, cause I don’t get any milk here. The scent doesn’t come out as a soft and spicy scent on me. It’s more a straight up fresh aquatic, great for a young lady in summertime.
I find “oxygene” actually very similar to Yves Rocher “Ming Shu” (discontinued) which I am done with after using up approx 3-4 bottles in the early 2000’s. Now I am stuck with a 75 ml. bottle of Oxygene and I already have too many perfumes. Anyone up for a swap? Preferably in Europe or Scandinavia, as I live in Norway.
Sergey57 – :
This is a wonderful, warm and singular scent. The ingredients are modern but has a cozy Proustian feel, reminding me of scent memories before I had names for them. The powdery sweet opening is followed by a lingering spicy milk cloud. I wear in in cold weather when I want to smell like warm almond milk and in cooler weather when I want something deceptively light. Smells snuggly on a scarf and on a crisp cotton shirt. A welcome duality.
vil.stat – :
I love Oxygene! It is definitely unisex, IMO, not at all aquatic, and the peppery drydown reminds me of a less-sweet version of Si Lolita, which I can totally get behind. It’s pretty one-of-a-kind, and definitely comes across as special yet appropriate for everyday wear all at once. The musky-milky undercurrent gives it “wow” factor. A great fresh option for those of us who dislike aquatics.
Jorthgfau – :
This is the best example I’ve seen of marketing/advertising that actually does represent the fragrance truthfully.
Watch the commercial for this, and you’ll see what I mean. The ad, to the eyes, is what Oxygene is to the nose. A work of art – clean, refreshing, urban and yet natural all at once.
It reminds me of walking through the streets of New York on a balmy late afternoon.
There’s something romantic about this scent, even though it’s great for everyday wear. I think it would be a wonderful option for a signature, and a not overly common one at that. I wish they were making fragrances more like Oxygene. These days it’s all the same, fruity gourmand sugary girly garbage from the big houses.
Oxygene is a perfume for a full grown, confident goddess, like Gisele. It’s raw and sensual, clean, fresh, and feminine in a big girl kind of way. Love it, and Alberto Morillas is becoming one of my favorite noses! His creations are always quite innovative!
alexfreeman – :
I have a nearly full bottle of this I would be willing to swap… does not smell so good on me!
OceaceShiessy – :
oooooh. yum!
I like masculine woman’s scents, light on flowers
I love this sort of different perfume.
fresh but dry, a weird aquatic but there is a masculineness that seems like an aquatic..
warm out the dryer sheets,
in three words it would be
Dry
Fresh
Wind blown.
lovely milky pepper and if there must be flowers,
let them be Gardenia and roses.
if there is iris it only adds a slight powder to my skin.
To me this is a great winter perfume but I have yet to try in summer.
scent 9/10
Bottle 8/10

I have a decant that I use at night, as it is so milky, comforting and calming. I do not find it aquatic at all. It is kind of warm, relaxing and soothing. Do recommend it
aikiss – :
Perfect scent for hot weather! I can’t wear parfums with citrus-notes at all – but peppery notes turns magic on my skin. And sun, heat and peppermixed scents is my cup of tea =). Oxygene makes me feel fresh for many hours.
Perfekt doft för varmt väder! Jag kan inte bära dofter med tydliga citrusnoter alls, men peppriga noter blir magiska på min hud. Sol, värme och pepparmixade dofter är min grej. Oxygene håller mig fräsch länge.
sergey-valents – :
I’m not certain why some reviewers find this a winter only fragrance. It’s 81F (27C) and I’m wearing it right now. The gardenia comes out more for me making it summery. The milk seems to add creaminess to the gardenia while the pepper adds some spice. The musk with sandalwood complete the fragrance and smells yummy! When it’s colder, I get the gardenia mixed with the hyssop for a while and then it settles to that yummy sweet sandalwood/musk combo mixed with a little gardenia.
I’ve had people stop in their tracks or back up after passing me to ask what I’m wearing. They say I have a “mysterious allure” wearing it. lol I lightly spray my pulse points and let the scent and my body chemistry do its magic. Lasts for a long while on me and can wear it everywhere. They say it’s discontinued but I’ve still have been able to get it online for a very reasonable price and have just recently purchased a couple of bottles at Ross.
Edit 1: Although it’s not an exact copy, it does remind of Lancome’s Miracle. If you like that one, you’ll love this one.
Edit 2: A suggestion beings that this is good for day wear, that for evening layer 212 Sexy by Carolina Hererra on top. Fantastic results since both are somewhat spicy, peppered gardenias. They really compliment each other.
Spawn – :
It is a VERY powdery smell. I think it is better for winter because it is rather intensive to my nose. It is different, strange and unique (almost alien for me). Don’t expect something familiar, flowery or sweet fragrance. It is floral in a veeery different aspect. Gardenia and iris are present but this perfume gives me the impression that is not so blended… You could smell almost all notes. It gets better at 10′ after application. Very PEPPERY, in your face! Hahahaha!
I think it is more suitable for winter.
2000 must have been a very good year for Mr Morillas.
kolosova-romanova – :
There’s only one word that I can use to describe this perfume and that’s warm. Even though it may be classified as a floral aquatic it actually is not. I would rather say that this is a winter perfume, the one that keeps you warm and cosy and I just can’t stop smelling my wrist while I’m reading on my bed or studying. It’s almost obsessive, I can’t get enough of it. I love that milk and pepper note at the top. It’s like it makes you wanna keep getting back for more. I really, truly love this perfume.
Edit: I actually think this is an all-year- round perfume. I love the way it transforms in different seasons and temperatures. During cold or cool days is so soft and warm, I can mostly detect the floral vibe, whilst during hot and warm summer or spring time it presents its other nature- the aquatic and cool one that makes me feel as if I am tasting the breeze of the sea.
Spouhdouddy – :
The smell is okay, but does not last long on me. It reminds me so much of a lovely aunt who used to wear this when I was younger. If I want to go for the fresh sporty aquatic scent, I’m going to be much more likely to reach for Acqua di Gioia or Chance Eau Fraische.
My main complaint about this fragrance is the bottle. It almost hurts my fingers to use. I’m not sure if it’s my bottle in particular, but the spray button on top is very hard to press down, and it’s like I have to squeeze the whole bottle to get it to spray. I won’t be repurchasing this one.
demi – :
I did now receive this yesterday. I got it via mail with 3 other perfumes from a perfume site. I smelled all 4 and put Oxygen aside saying “too weird!” Then today I sprayed it on myself individually without the other perfumes and…oooh the creamy milk and iris with the bit of spices….just great! I remember another fragrance that I thought was too weird to wear- CK Contradiction- has a metallic smell at first, and now it too is a fav of mine. Sometimes just wearing something a couple to a few times gets you in the groove of that certain fragrance…though I will never like EL Youth Dew!! Lol
Oxygen is a definite love for me….
Smitecreate – :
I’m not sure why Fragrantica has stated that this is the “first” perfume made after Arpege, when the site shows there were a few others in the 30’s and up to the 80s…curious…nonetheless…awaiting this one in the mail…..
PanAlex – :
Great aquatic fragrance. For a sporty fresh scent such as this, it’s not a wallflower or wispy ephemeral thing.
I’ve noticed milk note is not what I expected. I find in perfumes it is often not the sweet scent of condensed or whole milk but rather actually a note best described as “airy”. It’s more like if you remove the cap of a reduced fat milk and take a sniff, it is not a creamy scent at all, and Oxygene is a good example of that.
Peppery, fresh, and cool. For a female-marketed aquatic, Oxygene is actually pretty heavy and strong, which I think is a good thing. And although female-marketed as I have mentioned, it is unisex smelling to me. For a unique summer scent which is not floral or fruity, try this.

I love this so unusual scent. It resembles to nothing else in my collection. The name of the fragrance does not suit the odour itself and I see nothing oxygen there nor aquatic. I do not find enough oxygen there. It is thick, dense and sweet with the spicy opening and milky cream dry down with the smoke of iris and refreshing gardenia. The pepper is smooth and tender changing in something ice creamy with the milk note.
It’s very long lasting and is better for winter period.
In one word “Special”! And that’s why I love it.

I ordered this as a blind buy because it sounded like it had all the right ingredients to be a ‘me’ perfume and I am happy to report it was a great purchase!
Oxygene is all of the things I hoped for as a daytime & potentially all year round scent; airy, citrusy, light yet distinctive, easy to wear yet impressively complex. I’m not often a rose perfume fan so was suspicious initially but the white pepper and spice really lift the often overly sweet (for me) rose notes, turning them into crisp about to bloom white roses. This blended with hints of powdery yet unisex iris and gentle gardenia, rather than overpowering full blown gardenia which I can find overwhelming, result in a fragrance that is both bright & cosy at the same time.
I really like the milky layers which round the edges of the citrus & bergamot top notes and think it’s those creamy notes combined with the pepper & the earthy side of the iris elements that make this a year round perfume rather than just a light, bergamot dominant summer spritzer. All credit for the complexity of the blend and Oxygene definitely has good projection, I just received a compliment from my gardener on my perfume which has nev
