The easiest to wear from the “Oud” blend, perfect for any occasion, but a moderate longevity and projection.
I was hoping Oud Wood Intense could do a slightly better job with the longevity but it’s so SO different from the original, smells like the Tobacco Oud to me.
    Scent 9/10
    Longevity 6/10
    Versatility 7/10
    Uniqueness 9/10

One of my favourite from TF and I believe it’s very best from the house too
Good projection for first 3 to 4 hours and it stays on my 8 hours plus.

Following the below review.. I have a 2018 bottle and the performance is fine. Couple hours projection and can smell for a further 4-5 easy enough (6-7 total without burying my nose into my arm.) On clothes another couple hours. Maybe for some it’s bad skin chemistry but this is a fine scent to me. Tobacco vanille, Tuscan leather etc are much more powerful but I love this for what it does and the uses it is for.

I bought a bottle of this last week (Sephora); it is now the 5th Tom Ford in my collection. While it smells absolutely amazing, it is shockingly a SKIN SCENT in less than an hour. A Tom Ford!!! I have used up to 6 sprays at once, and even in the beginning it is almost undetectable. My other Tom Fords are beyond long lasting. I do not understand how Oud Wood can be so weak.
It smells so good….woody, balsamic, hint of powder in the drydown…but perhaps the worst longevity of almost any fragrance I own 🙁

Finally tried this while lost in a Neiman Marcus the other day. Quickly found it amongst a row of similar looking bottles and sprayed on arm. Did not smell like what I expected, to be honest. I expected a much more dry and woody smell like that of olive oil. Instead, smelt more safe and powdery than thought. The opening was bitter and earthy but dries to a sweet powderiness I can only describe as an Aventus cupcake. Seriously. I kept smelling Aventus in a dessert manner hours later then realized it was the drydown of Oud Wood.
I will need to try again, but as of yet, my mind isn’t blown. VERY pleasant smell but not obssessed as I wanted to be.

One of my favorite TF fragrances. Very nice and soft. Heavy on the sandlewood. I have no performance issues with this scent. It stay on me for at least 8 or more hours.

    Sensual
    Warm
    Elegant
    Stunning
My favorite fall / winter oud scent
A very soft and mellow oud
Soft projection but fairly good longevity of 8–9 hours when I spray 2–3 times on each arm

The original gold label release is absolutely exquisite. The current version, well, not so much. If you’re considering a purchase, my advice is to try and find a gold label bottle.

Well, if you think scents don’t have gender then spray yourself with Old Spice and let us know how you feel about it, of course provided you are a female. And yes “age is just a number”, but the experience which comes with it makes hell of the difference. Just saying.
TF Oud Wood is stunningly elegant and magnetic masculine oud fragrance out there which can be worn by both sexes, depends on your own preferences and body chemistry, naturally, who are we to tell you what to wear?
In addition to oud wood and rosewood I have detected a hint of stimulating pine needles in it. It might be down to olfactory complexity of oud wood… This is a very masculine combination anyway. It could be a wonderful frag for a woman who wants to feel a bit strong, masculine and sterile. It has a cold vibe to it, though all modern frags and old re-formulated ones have it. I didn’t buy it, it was a present, I love it, but I rarely reach for it, way too masculine for my taste, yet the elegance and refinement are there, no doubt.

I really like this unique smelling fragrance. Kind of has this smooth, intoxicating, oily, masculine feel. Nothing citrus or fresh about it, but also not as dark, possibly cloying or polarizing as Tuscan Leather (btw I love and prefer Tuscan Leather lol). This one also seems to be quite complimented by girls. Def must try

This is competing with Clive Christian X Women for the worst niche oppening I have ever smelled.
I’ve spent my fair share around medicine learning about them due to my parents being doctors. And the opening of Oud Wood is reminiscent of a B-complex B12 injection ampule. It did redeem itself when the tonka emerged and became quite pleasant to my surprise. So take your time with this one and don’t judge from the first sniff.

Honestly, I’m almost only here to disagree with the reviewer below me. Age is just a number and scents don’t have genders. Don’t forcefully categorize things that need not be. I’m 21 this October, I wear Oud Wood with a passion, in my velvet jacket, sundresses or silk PJs. I thoroughly enjoy this heady, sweet woody scent way more than whatever was offered to me at department stores and specialty shops alike.
Lasts around 6h on my skin in east coast humid summer weather, depending on the application (I dab) you get less projectile, more wafting dryish woodiness. Really, I think it’s very well blended. It’s got presence, character, personality, you gotta know what you’re doing before putting this on.

Try Acqua Di Parmas Colonia Oud, Its Fresher, uniquer and all seasoned. This one is for the mature audience, mean while ADP can be pulled off by ages 25 and up.

This was my third bottle from the Private Collection. It was bought on a whim, almost forcing myself to like it. I keep the bottle in my collection despite it’s been a few years and it’s almost full. I may spray it once every 2 or 3 months but never want to wear it the next day. There must be something there because I sometimes “need” that smell around me.
Yes, it’s masculine and keep in mind it is offensive to some people.

  15. :

    5 out of 5

A unisex perfume? No, it is so masculine!!
Heavy on the oud? No, even people who are not fond of oud, would enjoy this one.
It is somehow sparkely, Smokey, and at the same time citrusy and fresh, which makes it go very well all year around.
    Longevity: 2 hours!!!!!!
    Sillage: moderate

This is the kind of fragrance that we buy because of the overall smell, and not the performance. I must admit, I really wish it performed better. But damn, this fragrance is good – so good. A rich, warm and woody scent that is so cozy for those cooler days. I’ll always have this in my collection.

  17. :

When I first tried Oud Wood I liked it… but not much more, and I wrote:
‘This is a nice Oud scent that has warmth and gentle sweetness but is neither amazing nor special and is wildly overpriced for what it is but still enjoyable and gets compliments during colder months.’
However, after spending more time with this fragrance I’ve quickly grown to love it.
The depth of this rich Oud is balanced almost – dare I say it – to ‘perfection’ by rich amber, sweet notes of vanilla, and a snap of pepper that creates a delicious Oud with gourmand notes that will get you noticed by ‘the ladies’ who shall give compliments and who will be attracted to this fragrance.
Perfect for Autumn or Winter, balanced enough for the office and interesting enough for a soiree either formal or romantic.

I sprayed nearly 3 ml of this product and after an hour and hlf I can barely smell it on myself, the scent in itself is nice but sillage is very poor, on the contrary the price tag has some kind of depth!

  19. :

Finally pulled the trigger and bought it … It is best smelling Oud IMO .. SILLAGE and performance is weak but it smells amazing … This is a skin / date / indoor scent .. something you should wear to impress a person in a closed environment .
    Scent 100/10
    Sillage 6/10
    Performance 5/10
    Longevity 7/10
I wonder why people say it smells like Versace .. i own both they are extremely different perfumes .

Didn’t like this at all ! It smelled like old furniture polish to my nose. Once it dried down it did get a little nicer but not by much. Easy PASS for me !
To be fair though there’s a gentlemen at my gym that rocks Dark Rebel and this scent and on him it doesn’t smell amazing but it does smell better on him than me. He’s a rugged tattooed biker that’s also an attorney and that’s exactly the type of person I see wearing this.
Not a horrible smell but on my skin I can’t say I honestly like this.
    Overall rating —5.5 out of 10 !
Sidenote— if you’re looking to get into Oud I’d pick Royal Oud over this as I actually really enjoyed Royal Oud.

  21. :

To me, this is the best out of TF private line.
It’s very masculine, elegant, unique and has a bucket of character.
I’m surprised that cardamom and pepper are less appreciated in the perfume by other reviewers, but those are the characteristic notes in this perfume, at least to me.
Oud and cardamom are one of the best combination in perfumery.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

A very mesmerizing scent, indeed. However, lasting power is not that great. TF Oud Wood is very classy and deep, surely a gentleman’s fragrance. I’d consider owning it if the performance is better. A great scent but its longevity and price are its downfalls.
    Rating: 7-7.5/10

Tom Ford’s Oud Wood. I find this Tom Ford in particular, should be a staple in every man’s collection. If you want something masculine, versatile, and unique, Oud Wood is for you. I sought after Oud Wood for years. Every department store I went that had it, I made sure I left with getting my whiff and a spritz. Upon first spray, you get this kind of spicy, peppery note (Sichuan pepper) which is mixed with some heavy woody nuances, and of course, oud! There is just nothing like this fragrance I have smelt anywhere or done by another house. I smelt this years ago probably 2010-11 for the first time, but for something created in 2007 it is definitely original and pure class! I feel Oud Wood can sometimes sit linear with me, and from first spray it is heavy, and it carries the scent for a really long time. I am still testing for longevity and sillage. I can’t wait for the colder months.
Obviously for some, price point is an issue. This may not be the most affordable fragrance on the market, but it is one I suggest you should consider saving up for. It’s definitely appealing to men and women, and something worth having in your collection. So before buying a 30ml bottle (I bought it a week ago), I contemplated a fragrance that is very similar to this one. Also done by the same house. Tom Ford Noir Anthracite. Anthracite opens almost the same as Oud Wood does. That Sichuan pepper right off the hop, followed by some kind of earthy metallic notes, and something cold. You have Anthracite. Another beautiful fragrance. So what made me buy Oud Wood over Anthracite was mainly being able to wear something along the same caliber, but just more than fall and winter seasons. Oud Wood is quite versatile and I feel it can be worn almost the whole year, minus summer.
For me, Oud Wood gets a stunning 10/10.

I usually don’t like oud frangraces and this is no exception. It smells so medicinal imo. Would make a good office scent but that’s it.

I am 25 and find this modern, likable and not too different
Overall this is earthy and almost musky, but still seems modern and energetic
The problem for me is that this is too understated. 4 hours longevity and fair projection and poor sillage
I really enjoy the smell though and want this to perform better
I am not sure If I can justify the price

The smell of handsomeness. Smells rare and expensive, but in a very subtle and elegant way.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

A very nice scent, that won’t overpower. Subtle, yet noticeable. I would recommend this to the mature gentleman on a more dressed up occasion. Oud is a tough fragrance to pull off but TF OUD WOOD makes it much more wearable.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

Pure elegance and sophistication in a bottle.
The most refined woody fragrance ever with smart touches of vanilla and amber. Oud accord is basically the effect of some spices with sandalwood and other woodsy notes. No real animalic or oriental oud is here which makes is very inoffensive, classy and sexy.
If you are after a woody fragrance or a tamed oud fragrance, TF Oud Wood is the best.
(The new grey bottle version has similar amazing scent to the old golden marked bottle but it is watered down severely. Projection is close to the skin and longevity is below average for the price)

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet oud rich opening, with lots of other woods and vanilloids/coumarin stuff. After a few minutes on my skin only the sweet coumarin creamy notes exist. Of the generic type. No character in the drydown.
    More unisex than my tastes.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

It’s smells very intriguing, rich and woody… but for me it’s just too feminine smelling. It has that distinctive powdery women’s perfume smell that sits right alongside that great woody smell. This is coming from a guy who LOVES Noir Extreme, by the way. Guys, DO NOT blind buy this stuff. Obviously there are a lot of guys that love this, but I just can’t imagine myself wearing this, unless it made my girlfriend or wife crazy with lust.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

This is sooo overpriced and overrated if you’re looking for a good authentic smelling oud. The perfume still smells good, the other notes blend nicely together, and the oud note doesn’t smell bad, but it’s so very fake and even synthetic/chemical smelling and you’re paying for the name with this, definitely not the raw materials. I’ve tried several middle eastern oud oils as well as many niche and designer ouds. I hate oud that smells…fecal, which a lot of attars do but I like medicinal oud so I prefer designer ouds anyway, the best quality ouds that I’ve tried are roja dove (which I don’t actually like, it’s way too skanky smelling for me), Dior oud ispahan, and lancome oud bouquet. The roja one is way more expensive and I would never wear it, but the other two are in the same price range as this and on a totally different level. From the Arabian oils, my favorite one is al sharquia by al rehab which is only $25, and understandably not as high quality as Dior and lancome, but still much better than this. I suggest trying that one instead of this if you want to save money. This isnt bad smelling or skanky or anything like that, but it smells like any of the hundreds of oud flankers you can find at Macy’s. It’s just not special and i would never, ever pay the asking price for it. The oud note in it smells closest to the oud note in Roberto cavalli nero assoluto which I had and got rid of. If you have money to spare
try the lancome or Dior first they’re so much better/worth the money to me.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

It is a rich scent, it smells “thick” and very nuanced. Right after spraying I get an initial blast of spicy, warm, deep woody tones. After about 30minutes it becomes a little balmier. Sillage Oh do I love this scent! My go-to fragrances all fall in the Oriental Floral category, so this was definitely something different. It can easily pass as a niche scent of a private collection scent.
Sillage and Longevity are both ok to me. You wouldn’t want to overpower a room when you walk in, but would still like your fragrance to be noticed by your conversation partners, right? This delivers on that. Especially with a scent this deep and rich, I wouldn’t like it to be too overwhelming. About 16hrs after application it is still detectable on my skin, so I have no issue with that either.
About the scent itself: it is dark. It is moody, deep, rich and velvety with a hint of smokiness. But there is no “dirty” darkness. The wood tones are just bright enough to keep it from being mucky and overly stuffy. TOm Ford really hit the spot with the balance in this one. Initially, I got a lot of spicy, warm, woody notes. After an hour or so the “pepperiness” and sharpness of the top notes has evaporated, leaving a balmy warm (slightly more masculine) scent that sits a little closer to the skin.
I bought it in June, and as long as the sun isn’t too bright and hot I don’t see a problem in wearing this. But its natural habitat is cold, crisp and dark weather, I feel. It would work in a board room, in a conference if you want to exude confidence and power, or on a night-time date if you want to intoxicate and bewitch your date. Maybe it is just me, but I always feel a lot more confident and daring when I am wearing a more unisex perfume.
My SO is a big fan of this one too, even though his standard fragrances are Burberry London and Angel for men. I suspect he will be pinching this from my collection every so often ;-).
All in all, TF Oud Wood is definitely not a scent for everyday wear, but it is a powerhouse if you need a confidence boost that will make you feel incredible. I’m very happy with my purchase!

The body Oil just arrived. Gorgeous soft velvet oil. 250 ml plastic bottle(that’s what makes it affordable) and it only takes so little to get the full Oud Wood experience.

Awesome scent. It’s classy and can be casual as well. Not for hot weather though. It’s very dark and although it’s never gotten me a compliment I still really enjoy the smell.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

firstly, the scent – its incredible, a true masterpiece. easily a top 5 in woody fragrances…ever.
masculinity, rich woody & spice aromas give way to a fresh vetiver and vanilla smoke.
i’ve gotten many compliments with it, BUT…theirs a down side. the performance lacks for its price point.
2 sprays (1 by each ears pulse point) & 1 on the back of my neck)
1st hour is pure rage, insane projection and strength.
    (more than most colognes)
3rd hour its modest and becomes a more appropriate close encounter cologne.
5th hour its close to the skin and lacks any projection.
7th hour i couldn’t detect it. my wife smelt my neck and barely gets any scent from it. its all but gone after 8hrs. which is a shame given its price & the performance of some other colognes.
in my experience – go to Sephora and pickup a tiny 1.5ML sample atomizer for free and pump in 1ML of Oud Wood into it. keep it with you thought you night/day and re-apply after 3-4 hours. 1ML will hold about 10 sprays so you’ve got plenty to keep you smelling Fabulous.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Do not believe the people who tell you this cologne lasts. It DOES NOT. You’d be lucky if you get 5 hours out of this one. Is that worth the price? Absolutely not!

  41. :

    3 out of 5

Oud is one of my all time favorite notes in fragrance, especially men’s. It is masculine, down to earth, giving me a natural comfort feeling. Oud combines with wood and vanilla, even better. I also love all the warm spicy notes in this one. IMO, TF Oud Wood suits men better. But I could be wrong here, as everybody has different chemistry and pH balance.
Over the years, I have realized that, from time to time, the often I wear my girly sweet fragrances from my collection, the more I get drawn to scents like this one, worn by the other sex. Quite an opposite attraction that I have experienced. One of my favorite little things that I do at weekend is “stealing” and wearing my husband shirt that he wore the night before when we went out, and sniffing his cologne/parfum from it…And there it was, the beautiful Oud Wood…Such a wonderful feeling being so close to someone, feeling wanted and wanting.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

    Hello everyone!
I would like to share my first impressions about Oud Wood. First of all, let me assure you that it has a very impressive performance! Of course if you compare it to tobacco vanille or tuscan leather you would think its not as strong. But it lasts easily 10 hours (on the back of the head) and gives a good 4 hours of strong projection. I won’t say much about the smell because I would like to form a better opinion in the next weeks. Meanwhile i’m pretty impressed with it. (And i’m not that easily impressed)
    In terms of uniqueness it’s a 10/10.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

This fragrance contains the notes of some of my absolute favorite scents – oud, rosewood, cardamom, sandalwood, vanilla and vetiver. The result is stunning to me. Unfortunately, I feel like this would be better on me if I were in my forties. Hopefully, I will then be able to afford to buy the full size. I mention the price because the longevity leaves a great deal to be desired. The sillage is fine – it is pretty soft, but I don’t mind that.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

@YYY_Delilah the intense version has almost nothing to do with the original. The original is arguably one the most well blended, smooth, dark and sexy oud fragrances available on the market. Don’t let the intense version guide your decision to buy the original, it’s merely a fragment of what Oud Wood is.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

Haven’t tried this yet. Maybe if I find the intense version too much, this would be alright.
    @GrayJacques
Thankyou for the word of caution. But it’s what I was hoping for, thinking it might be a big difference from the Intense one. And in the right direction, according to what you yourself have just said!
Have tried this now. Yes, I agree, it’s a gorgeous oudy fragrance, and there’s a good chance of it being my next oud.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Got to try this one it is very nice modern sweet woody not much of a stinky oud smell which is a plus imo. I think it is nicer and less annoying than the tobacco vanille, which I like but can be a little too phenolic to me some times

Why would you make such a good scent that doesn’t last long Tom Ford? Why?
This is a Fantastic Woody Aromatic scent
Sincerely I don’t really get the oud. What I get is rosewood , spices and tonka bean.
It smells so sophisticated. Very classy and luxurious scent. But alas, the performance is not the best. Unless you overspray , only someone who gives you a tight hug will get a whiff of this.

    So bloody good!!!
Airy and easy wearing oud without any medicinal unpleasant smell.
Reminds me: the CDG Wonderwood drydown with delicious vanilla, little tonka and touch of oud.

I got a small sample from Sephora and I fell in love with it! Entranced and seduced by it! It smells dark, oriental, seductive, sexy and expensive! Picture a hunky Asian guy with dark green eyes in tuxedo. LoL. And picture that guy is approaching you slowly yet decisively with those seductive eyes. Then imagine you’re taking a walk in a dark forest with that guy. That’s pretty much what goes through my mind when I smell this perfume. Sorry if I sound like a maniac.
I want it! I want it for myself, I want it for my man, I want to smell this scent from his skin, form my skin, from our sheets and from our shower. But do I want to smell it 24/7? Nooope. This is for special, top notch and private occasions.

  52. :

    5 out of 5

Everything Tom Ford makes is sexy and Oud Wood is no exception to that. Smells like black tie events, which by the way, I’m totally getting invited to all the time.
    This is to die for.

  53. :

    4 out of 5

The opening is a bit repulsive and offensive and the smell will linger in your bedroom for a few minutes. On the skin the dry-down is the best thing Ive ever smelled. 1.5 sprays max if you’re in a intimate setting.

  54. :

    5 out of 5

A heavy fragrance with a good performance, this one is best used sparingly, as this one is quite strong and heavy, too many sprays will choke the people around you!
the opening is great and you will get alot of compliments, very woody and a bit of oud for sure. perfect for chilly nights.
Longevity 8/10 – this one will last several hours on your skin
Silage 8/10 – this one has a very decent performance but more than a few sprays will result in a choky and pungent overkill

A very warm and lovely woody sandalwood perfume.

  56. :

    5 out of 5

A modern masculine classic, this will be looked back on as one of the scents that defined its generation. It‘s warm, woody and classy, but with that cheap-and-cheerful note of a car’s pine-tree air freshener that keeps things from getting too dull and serious. Have never worn this regularly since too many other guys have it, but it‘s the kind of scent you just enjoy having for occasional wear. Nice!

    Beautiful.
    Bought it.
    Wore it.
    Felt like a dude.
Gave it to a colleague who wanted to get it.
A masculine perfume that I thought I can tame, I was wrong.

  58. :

This lasts 2 hours on me. Worse still, everyone else can smell it long past this so reapplication is not really an option.
I have come to terms with this though.
For the two hours I can smell it I have feelings about this sent. I shudder when I get a whiff.
It’s unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. It’s clean. Spicy, sweet, dark but illuminating. It sparkles and simmers.
I feel sad every time I realize it’s gone until next time.
Another seminal moment in men’s fragrances. Tom Ford haters gonna hate.
I will keep buying as long as he lets me.
The legend of the red bottle and gold label persists. It is said this formulation does not slip away so effortlessly, so perniciously. I’m unconvinced but willing to be persuaded.

I got a sample of this randomly in a sephora order and was disappointed it wasn’t whatever fragrance I picked out at checkout. I gave it to the husband and forgot all about it until he got back from conference a few months later raving about the ‘black carded sample that smells like Christmas’.
He rarely notices anything I give him, so this must be special stuff.

Absolute shame this is so poorly performing. A great smell but gone within half an hour and for £215 for a 100ml definitely robbery.

Snark, look at the estatistics, Oud Wood is a long lasting perfume, you probably have anosmia, a common enough problem to almost every human on the planet. Oud Wood is too strong for your nose, some note(s) overwhelms the sensory nerves of your nose that then whitenoises all the smells. Try spraying weekly or monthly the smallest sprays so hopefully your nose can get used to it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. And see which notes can be the culprit, by contextualizing with your other fragrances purchases, this can improve blind buys.

I got this sample while looking for some sandal-woody perfumes. With Oud Wood I think it is as simple as, you will love it if you like Oud and not if you don’t. I don’t.

I received a sample of this with a recent purchase. I had never heard of oud wood. I dabbed a bit on was totally captivated by this scent. I have never smelled anything like it! I kept smelling that wrist for hours and knew I HAD to have it. It is a welcome change from many of the fruity/floral nasal blasters that are popular now. It is classy, warm, woodsy irresistible delight.Once I managed to put my eyeballs back into their sockets upon seeing the price, I clicked ” add to bag”. A wise move and sooooo worth it. Treat yourself, you deserve it! I went back for body lotion and shower gel.Cant get enough. I need my own Oud Wood cave to hang out in.

Stunning fragrance that has a unique effect on me.
When I first smelled it at my local perfume shop, I fell in love with it instantly. At the same time I thought “Beautiful and amazing, but this leans very masculine, I guess it’s not for me..”
Later I figured since I loved it so much and didn’t forget about it, why not get a decant?
Honestly, I’ve never smelled anything like it and I whenever I put it on, I immediately feel a sense of (inner) quiet and strength.
Oud Wood makes me think of the first sip of a brand new bottle of fresh fizzy water satisfying your thirst and giving you new power.
It makes me think of untouched nature, of waterfalls, of clear streams that keep running and refreshing the earth.
My reviews normally focus on notes, longevity, projection, and sillage.
This one is different. It’s special to me because it’s so much more about what it makes me FEEL and I love it for that.

My review is based off of the original/Non reformulated gold label goods!
I bought this fragrance when I first got interested in OUD fragrances and made my Wife fell head over heals in love with it!
This is among the bosses of OUD fragrances for around $500CN!
It is more of an attractive charming OUD scent; than the ones that repels the opposite sex;Due to not understanding what they are smelling! and no ; Telling her that the ingredient OUD is a time and a half more expensive than Gold; Is not going to make her changes her mind and fall in love with it!
    Scent 10/10
    Silage10/10
Lasting power; i got 17 hours!
    Thanks,

At first, the sillage resembles something of a generic men’s cologne cocktail; citrus, herbaceous, spicy but this bouquet quickly evolves after the top notes volatilize. There is a brief moment maybe of a few seconds, after the top notes dissipate where you get a floral scent like lavender or the like, but not a feminine floral like jasmine. Quickly after, in the heart of the unfolding layers you get rich, chocolaty notes like tonka, vanilla and coffee however, this may be olfactory confusion as the base notes of leather and Oud wood push through. If I were to speculate, based upon the rarity of Oud, I imagine the showcase of Oud in this fragrance to be an accord. If I were to wager a guess to the composition of the Oud accord, it would be a leather accord, the ‘woodiness’ to come from birch and or moss and the smokiness to come from Oak or the like. My interpretation of Oud wood is more ‘incensy’ and not so smoky
