Description
“A unique scent, which evokes mysticism and the power of silence.
A legend tells the story of how the majestic aroma of woody Oudh, one of the most ancestral and characteristic scents of the Middle East, permeates throughout heaven.
The woody-animal-like aroma emits dreamlike desires, which envelope all those who use it, immediately transforming them into temples dedicated to the worship of for-fumum.
In Oud Al Melka’s trail, a concentrate of the best qualities of oud is perceived; an oud that is cleverly mixed with different varieties of rose, Sambac Jasmine and a trace of precious Grey amber, that upon contact with the skin, makes it, irresistibly sexy.
I conceived Oud Al Melka as an exceptionally feminine fragrance. A dreamy Oud for princesses and queens” — press release of the brand. Oud Al Melka was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Antonio Visconti.

I agree with some points made by the previous review (Q80) in that you can detect some florals (such as jasmine-which surprisingly is a note I normally cringe at when I can spot it)…cardamom, spicy saffron, sage but I disagree with Q80 because I do smell a slightly medicinal oud. In fact I find the oud to be quite dominant with Oud Al Melka. It is not a barnyard or fecal type oud nor is it cheesy. Royal Crown tells me that this fragrance contains the highest concentration of (Burmese) oud in comparison to that of their other offerings. Sidenote: I should mention that there is a new Oud on display at 2017 Esxence in Milan and I am excited about this one. Back to the review… there is this ultra soft, super attractive, lightly sweetened (Tonka), mildly animalic musc which balances the medicinal oud and takes over the mid and base. To be honest, this slightly medicinal oud presents itself in the opening then merges with a mélange of florals, sexy musc, and warm-soft-spicy accords that is simply irresistible. The performance projects and lasts all day long. One or two sprays is suffice. There is never a need to reapply it. An interesting fact: the juice is actually a light “neon-green” color which I found was interesting. My rating will have to be 10/10 in all categories. Price is €527/100ml.

This is slightly medicinal and not really oud, mostly i smell musc. jasmines, slight and tiny roses, cardamom, saffron, and some factory nylon.
It’s more of a spicy than oudi, kind of artificial nylon & i guess it’s from the sage and ylang mix.
It’s not that impressive as it’s name, it’s just kind of softer to be “Al Melka oud”.
Edit (10th April 2017) Now this time it reminds me of my grandmother! and it is really remind me of her ALLOT with that slightly soft saffron note that covers her shear black scarf! and her hair smell after henna! I believe it does somehow present the primal Arabian engagement somehow (Which means Melka) as i could picture my grandmother wearing a black dress with all the things mentioned above and would smell like this! and i believe there is some oud and it’s not the European medicinal style type of oud! things got mixed up with me since i highly doubted that i’ll find an Arabian style oud in an European fragrance! but i guess Antonio did it and presented it quite well with this one here. An Arabian fragrance that presents engagement.
