Description
“Othoca is a ramble through ancient ruins surrounded by aromatic shrubs infused with saltiness. It pays homage to the most important aspect of Sardinia: the sea water that encircles it. The portrayal of the waves appearing on the symbol, as can be seen on prehistoric vases and on the carpets which still today continue to be hand- woven, represents the salvation of souls. The fragrance is dedicated to Othoca, a Phoenician town now flanked by a lagoon but which once upon a time overlooked a large navigable gulf.” – a note from the brand.
Othoca by Acqua di Sardegna is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Othoca was launched in 2017. Top notes are bergamot, red thyme and marjoram; middle notes are juniper, lavender and costus; base notes are patchouli, vetiver, amber and cedar.

A strange salty sweet flowery perfume. It does not remind me anything else. It is unisex but seems a bit more masculine. I dont know how costus smells but is so well blended in a way i cant pick up a note that will dominate the others. It has a good longevity and sillage but im still thinking if i like it or not. It kept me engaged smelling my wrist all the time but im not sure if this is something i like to wear or not. The ingedients are very good, the bottle is stunning but is not the typical masculine perfume. I have to wear it a bit more to be sure. For the time being, the sweet saltiness is very well done.

One of the best perfume my nose has ever smelled.
Even if notes are those of a glorious oriental fougère (commonly considered more suitable for men than women) I find it perfectly unisex.
It lasts several hours on skin without loosing its charming power and it lasts days on clothes.
Othoca and me.
This was a total chance meeting, but definitely love at first sniff.
It has that extremely rare and beautiful ability to give me an overwhelming sense of mental well-being… isn’t this what love is all about?
