When I first put this on, there was a whiff of gasoline in the air, and when things calmed down, I realized that my objection was to the cedar flower in conjunction with the smokiness of the vanilla. The cedar flower takes command on my skin and to my nose it is an odd smelling concoction when mixed with the vanilla. Projection is soft and longevity is fair. Love this maker’s Patchouli Noir, but my skin and nose don’t care for this one.

A very pleasant and delicate vanilla. It’s the one I have most appreciated above all Il Profvmo scents.
It’s like a cozy blanket on a snowy Sunday morning.
There’s a distributor in my city which has the 10 ml version, and I am tempted to buy this.

Received samples of Tihota and Vanille Bourbon and switched back and forth for about a week. Both are simply amazing and grown up vanillas but every time I’d come down wearing VB my husband would say “what smells so good?” and then trail around the house after me. Both are rich creamy vanillas, but there’s something in the dry down of VB that my skin just loves, and my skin EATS perfume like nobody’s business. I finally ordered a full size and can’t wait for it to arrive.

NICE SCENT but TOO MUCH FLORAL
VANILE don’t need lemon blossom notes
6 / 10
Piebfo – :
Lovely soft vanilla which, on me at least, lasts a good 10 hours. At the end it’s a very soft, close-to-skin, almost chocolaty scent. Beautiful, and I can’t imagine that this would annoy anyone.

My all time favorite perfume. I love vanilla and have sampled as many as I could find. to me, the scent is perfect. The perfume is quite light though, with little sillage and lasting power. The absolu works much better for me, but sadly is discontinued. I would be grateful if someone had some absolu they’d like to sell. I’m running low.

I had other expectations for this fragrance after trying both liked Chocolate.
To this you can not call Bourbon Vanilla, it lacks the characteristic nuances of this type of vanilla: facets: wood, candy, gourmand, exotic and aphrodisiac.
Vanilla is the note that marks the title is very artificial, it too lightly and without body, with a tagline dusty due to musk, which makes it very dry, like the ethyl vanilla, well worse because the ethyl vanilla It smells better.
The floral notes take two sighs.
The truth is that for a soft vanilla smell, no gourmand, with musk because it is somewhat ridiculous and boring spend € 100 highly osmotic it.

Ooooh this is a nice vanilla. It’s not like those sweet cookie vanillas, this one is more smooth and creamy, almost rum-like, instead of a sugar frosting type. I would like this more if it had more potency, it’s quite light wearing and transparent, close to the skin with zero projection. If it weren’t so gentle I’d grab a bottle, that and the fact it has only lasted about 2.5 hours on me. It’s faded now and left me missing it. v_v
petru12 – :
I think it is the best vanilla sent out there. Yes its expensive but it is worth it…You can spray it on your skin, it will last 24 hours. I had my bottle 5 years, now I buy a new one….
Cattriabe – :
vanilla, nothing exciting. soft sillage., moderate longevity. it’s pretty, but lacks depth.
0kisska0 – :
I have to say that it doesn’t have ANY lasting power, and the scent is exactly like Coconut Passion by Vistoria’s Secret, which is a lot easier to find and costs like 10$, compared to 160$ for 50 ml. NOT recommended!
LieflyHifemer – :
Smelled this at Scent Bar the other day. It reminds of the Mazzolari Vaniglia. They’re both beautiful vanilla scents, but there’s only so much you can do with a straight vanilla fragrance, and with plain vanilla, price is not always indictative of how much you’ll like the smell or the lasting power.
Are they somewhat more refined and balanced than an inexpensive vanilla? Yes. Is there $150 worth of difference? No. You’d have to be a professional nose or someone who is an expert on perfume to even notice a difference. It’s like telling the difference between a $60/shot vs $10/shot tequila AFTER you’ve poured it in a margarita. Good luck. I’ve had both cheap and expensive vanillas, and several of the expensive ones are dupes for the good old Outremer you can get at Anthropologie for $19. I’ve been known to purchase perfume with the heart, not the head, but even I won’t pay $150 for something that disappears in 15 minutes when there’s a $19 dupe that lasts hours.

Bourbon Vanilla is a shy, delicate fragrance, featuring delicious vanilla with little floral and woody undertones. I really like it. This one is for people who like to have their fragrances quiet and close to skin.
utp731speagoessenda – :
Il Profvmo’s Osmo Vanille Bourbon is gorgeous and almost entirely unique. It’s this ridiculously pure, rich, milky and silky bourbon Vanilla. It’s airy, light and elegantly whispers to you. It’s warm and soothing with a touch of sweetness. I do get a small accord of floral notes (especially heliotrope) but they sit background to the Vanilla and enhance this perfume nicely. It smells luxurious and is also perfect for layering.
It’s a soft, simple and subtle perfume with low to moderate sillage but is quite long lasting. I am obsessed with the note of Vanilla so have been on a quest to find the best Vanilla perfumes and collect them. I will have to buy a full bottle of this. 8/10 for me.
kapl1788 – :
It’s a beautifull vanilla scent, no doubt. But I would like vanilla to be blend with something else too (like in Kenzo Amour or Lancome Hypnose). Here vanilla is the only note I get. Buy it if you are weak for vanilla.
Almost two hours later I get a hint of something smokey..
Longevity on my skin is around 7 hours.
Gamer008 – :
Vanille Bourbon is a delicate and soft vanilla whisper on your skin. It’s airy and almost transparent, warm and tender but not in the typical vanilla-cupcake-sugar galore kind of way. It plays “catch me if you can” with the people around you, they start a hunt for the source of that lovely smell and start leaning in close to you to inhale it’s sweetness.
I’m usually not fond of vanille scents, most seem too cloying, sickeningly sweet or juvenile to me, but this one is a holy grail. Warm, soft, soothing, a perfect everyday scent to get you through grey days, it definately puts a smile on your face and the grey changes to a light shade of pink.
Sillage is intimate unless you spray more but it lasts pretty well, considering it’s rather light.
igrrik1 – :
This is rich, soft, and beautiful. I have been looking for a vanilla that I can wear alone or layered without adding a lot of other stuff to the mix. In other words a pretty straight up vanilla. Which is not to be confused with ordinary. I also wasn’t looking for anything particularly sweet. Il Profvmo’s Osmo Vanille Bourbon seduced me into choosing her~pure and simple.
I actually got a sample of the EDP and wasn’t that impressed with it at first. I might have been had I been able to smell it! But I continued to rotate through my samples of pretty stellar vanille’s and she became the clear choice.
As she blends into your skin a warm, buttery, softness starts to lightly kiss the air around you. I love rose wood and can easily detect it’s goodness in this scent. It gives it body without it ever becoming woody or dry. This vanilla smells like vanilla without crossing over into dessert land. The heliotrope is never strong or insistent. It actually rounds this out and quite nicely.
This is absolutely everything that I’ve been looking for~the perfect go to vanilla scent! I also have Farmacia SS Annunziata Vaniglia Del Madagascar which is also lovely, but a completely different animal. It has nowhere near the versatility that this one does. And that’s the crux of this scent~alone or layered with something else~she is an outstanding example of what she says she is~Vanille. This fall will be Montale’s Vanille Absolu~but that’s another story…..

With this pricetag, I was expecting this one to blow my socks off.
Unfortunately, it’s just a less impressive dupe of LAURA MERCIER VANILLE GOURMANDE, which is just a straight-forward vanilla extract type of scent. However,LMVG is stronger and richer, with better sillage, and is MUCH more affordable.
Transmission – :
I see that there’s a bit of confusion in a couple of other reviews, so I’d like to point out that Vanilla bourbon is a variety of vanilla. There’s no alcoholic beverage in this perfume, no bourbon whiskey at all.
That said, I consider this perfume a plain vanilla note that never changes, stays close to the skin and does its job. Not outstanding, and not very creative.
I suspect that there’s not just vanilla bourbon in here. The limited range of the fragrance speaks synthetics. My bet? A lot of chemical vanilla plus a little vanilla bourbon. If this is the case, it’s incredibly overpriced.
lvtsa – :
Nothing to say much, my all time favourite vanilla scent :)) pure unsweet powdery vanilla, very different than sticky owersweet vanilla cupcake scents around. İt has the perfect quality with big sillage and an amazing longevity (almost 12 hours). İn the opening i get real bourbon for a few seconds, and then soft calming happy cheering vanilla covering you like a second layer of your own skin, seems like it enhances with time (Osmotic molecules).. A little dusty and people keep asking the same question “who smoked pipe in here?”
rodina_45 – :
The simplest, most natural vanilla scent I have experienced. It’s almost simpler, more “zen” that putting your nose in a cut up vanilla bean.
Delicate, with low silage, but good lasting power, this scent is attractive in its almost organic quality. I cannot envision many notes other than vanilla. It’s not particularly sweet. There is a coolness to it, literarily giving it a cooling property, and some milky smoothness. Actually it makes me think more of the orchids rather than the beans. The result? vanilla icecream. A diet one, without much sugar, without much fat, a little transparent.
It’s expensive for what it is. But if you’re looking for a natural, non chemical vanilla, etheral and delicate, this will please for sure. The only vanilla without spices, fruits, sugar, anise or powder. Relaxing… nice for bedtime. Aromatherapy to calm nerves. Keeper for me.
VorJoiffcig – :
I seriously wanted to love this. Found it to be so weak that it was almost none existent instantaneously. A beautiful scent if you can smell it.
Update: after a period of non-existence, this fragrance came back, full on vanilla plastic. Too bad.
sony133 – :
A lovely basic vanilla. Rich, clear, almost like cooking extract, without anything like cream or milky notes to muddy it up or make it smell like food. Lovely, simple, elegant and imminently layerable.
suvalgis – :
This is plain and pure vanilla but I think not in such a good quality. It’s a bit like a roomspray or so. I was disappointed in my sample. I liked the vanilla scents of La Maison de la Vanille much better, even Yves Rocher Vanilla Noir.
alex__gera – :
one of the best perfumes, very soft and long lasting but too costly. i just read it on fragrantica that it is for women , when i tested it on the shop i found it good for men too.
wyg866Diobtetty – :
Very comfortable luxurious vanilla scent. Dry but sweet.
I like … but not as a fragrance.
These vanilla scents are not fore me, I think.
popazermusht – :
Great scent, maybe the best indeed,
it’s sweet but not too much, gentle, for me not so much flowery but a little bit smoky maybe it’s because this burbon (I don’t know about burbon but scotch is definetly smokey) very smooth scent. It’s extremly long lasting on me (i can still smell it after 35 hours so it’s the king and I have EDP not absolu) and … oh yea I love it so much
Alex_Musatkin – :
The absolute King of vanilla scents. Il Profvmo take the crown for this beauty. There isn’t a hint of butter in this masterpiece, and it doesnt need (unlike some) lashings of fruit to disguise itself as the creamy custard to the current fashion for ambulating cherry pies. In short – the softest, most mouth watering, long lasting, powdery, skimmed milky vanilla in the whole wide world. Don’t take this as read, because I’m sure it’s a chemical thing with me, but after a while, any vanilla begins to take on that strage smell you get when you lift the lid on the crayola tin in school. Chewed, semi melted wax crayons. Luckily, you, dear reader, will not have this cruel chemical assailant in your natural aromatic arsenal, so you may dismiss that bit and buy with glad cries. Ker-ching!

Vanille Bourbon is a delicate scent, that melts with your skin and starts to be part of you. the warm but gentle scent enwraps you and the soft natural vanillia sweetness guides you threw a cold winter day. A very cosy, mellow, smooth and natural Premium-Vanillia scent, that can´t be compared to any sickly sweet “plastic” Vanillia perfumes. It works without Alcohol and uses almond oil instead. Your skin releases the scent slowly over 24 hours because of Osmotic technic.
