Description
“Inspired by the famous P.P.Rubens painting ‘Samson and Delilah”, this intense perfume is all about love, drama and opulence. Osmanthus Noble has a strong personality and notes of Osmanthus, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine absolute flowers, spicy tobacco, warm amber and sandalwood. At opening you can feel fresh, spicy and aldehydic notes blended with bergamot and mandarin that give vividness and intensity. The noble osmanthus absolute combined with an aromatic clary sage play together to form a soft suede accord. Tobacco absolute, delicious black cherry, saffron and tonka beans play an important role in creating a sensual atmosphere. Floral notes of jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang give vitality and bloom in the heart. In the dry down, oakmoss absolute, labdanum, sandalwood, smoky vetiver and animalic musks bring a spiritual feeling and allow the perfume to linger on the skin.
The inspiration for this perfume came from a XVII century painting Samson and Delilah by P.P.Rubens. This painting is saturated with soft leather textures, smooth silks rustling between clenched fingers and luxurious dark velvets draped around the room. These lustrous elements compliment the dramatic historical scene of love and betrayal. This perfume embodies the mood and intensive body language of the painting with osmanthus absolute, spicy tobacco, warm amber and creamy sandalwood notes. The spiciness of saffron reveals the depth of the drama and contrasting shadows in this painting. The composition opens with aldehydes with cardamon and mandarin, spicy osmanthus and suede accords with a soft smoky ambery base. To reflect on this perfume from a modern point of view, imagine a woman or man heading towards an aircraft and carrying a soft suede bag as a strong gust of wind from the turbine tussles the hair as she/he goes up the stairs to board the jet. The traveler awaits the unknown, mysterious and promising journey ahead.” – a note from the brand.
Osmanthus Noble was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Eglija Vaitkevice.

I bought a sample and fell in love immediately.
The masculine woody, yet fresh green spicy combination is convincing.
I think that the combination of osmanthus and wood gives me an olfactory illusion of smoke.
Absolutely wonderfull, very well crafted.
Very happy with my full bottle.
If you are a guy and intimidated by unisex fragrances you ought to give this one a try. I think that you will be satisfied wearing a real mans fragrance.

My first ever review! I am in a privileged position to have smelled a draft of this beautiful perfume (so fun to have been able to compare the two, and follow the evolution of the finished product). The earlier version was more feminine and round, similar to an apricot-y vintage Mitsouko.
The finished Osmanthus Noble is a splendidly blended scent which stands exactly between the genders, but without being sexless or androgynous in any way. I detect (in no particular order): violets, suede, osmanthus (quite toned down really), oakmoss, tobacco clear as a bell, something cool and soft like orris or iris… maybe vetiver too?
It’s so elegant, and old fashioned in the best way. Smells like a silent private library, and simultaneously reminds me of the thrilling 60s spy films where everyone was having adventures in dinner suits and cocktail dresses.
