I’m a tropical flower fan and enjoy collecting tropical fruity floral perfumes. I go on Caribbean cruises for work as I’m a paid entertainer/showgirl. I live in Florida where it’s warm (and humid) all year round. The tropical theme is always welcome. I enjoy frangipani which is similar to tiare or plumeria-gardenia. This is a white floral perfume with a good balance between fruits and flowers. At the first spritz of Oscar Tropical flower, your nose is caressed by delicious summer fruited fragrance of passion fruit and melon. The melon is aquatic kind of like the melon in Cacharel’s Eden but not as strong. It’s more like a melon juice or melon cocktail. The passion fruit is concentrated and yummy. Fruit cocktails at the top, flowers in the heart and light white musk at the bottom. There’s also a raspberry. This is a beach perfume, a party perfume, or to wear on vacation in the summer time. Summer in a bottle. It’s very flirty, feminine, girly, sweet. It’s actually appropriate for little girls who are getting into perfume. There is no fear of this smelling too adult for like a 10 year old. It’s sweet sweet sweet. I am wearing this to my next cruise job.

This is a pretty fragrance for lying on the beach on Cuba like all inclusive tourist and drinking an alcoholic fruity cocktail. This fragrance smells exactly like a cocktail for drink. I smell passionfruit and melon, roses and raspberry. And of course lot of lemon and sugar The opening is beautiful fresh, floral fruity and sophisticated, but the dry down seems to be overladen with sugar. I have the feeling, this fragrance pretend to be something, what it never could be – the beautiful opening and then the screw down into pure fruity sugar – this kind of disappointing I can not accept.
Nice bottle and well fitting name for this kind of scent.
Thank you dear Kosmoskukka for your sample! I was really curious about Oscar Tropical Flower!

Very pretty, if you’re looking for a more grown-up, better done version of a tropical (ie Escada LEs), this is it. Would make a good summer fragrance

I just received Oscar Tropical Flower and I have to say that I love it. I was expecting one of those sweet coconut-y type tropical fragrances, but I was beyond pleasantly surprised. This is a heady and sophisticated floral fruity fragrance. It’s classy, sexy, and the RIGHT way to do a tropical fragrance. I even detect a slight hint of the original Oscar in it. I have to disagree that it is commonplace. I think that the decision not to utilize the typical coconut-pineapple-pina colada concoction alone was a stroke of genius. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled so delicious and yet still so grown up with any other floral fruity scent. It’s sweet without being sugary. This perfume is an experience. You must wear to appreciate!

If you lke Tiare flowers or frangipanis, yup this is what it smells like. A bit too commonplace and tropical for me, though.
