Pecksniff’s is sort of dark horse, mystery Fragrance House even in UK, not many of us have it and wear it, which is a shame really. They all (I have got six perfumes, all discontinued and five of which are not included in database yet) are great by all means – the lasting power, uniqueness, quality, the way notes are chosen and blended – I would give them 4.7 from 5 at the very least, I much prefer Pecksniff’s to Jo Malone or Penhaligons, it’s all about the marketing nowadays, but whatever…
Oriental Amber. I love raw amber, not sweet jammy-mummy one, I love amber as a resin, in its almost medicinal harsh aspect, it calms me down and gives me a comfort. This Amber is a treasure, as another element I adore is a nutmeg. You smell it all – saffron, rose, pepper, its pretty much in tune with Ambre Fetiche of Goutal, with Voile d’Ambre of Yves Rocher, yet its sweeter than Fetiche and spicier than d’Ambre. It’s woody-spicy-resinous unique smell that I adore to wear. Natural healer.
I probably will review other scents that I have got under this review in future, since God knows when they will be added…*sigh*
