Description
The Organic Pharmacy launches its first perfume collection as a part of their natural make – up line Organic Glam. The collection consists of four 100% natural and 85% organic fragrances, each belonging to a completely different olfactory group, so you’ll certainly be able to choose something for yourself. The fragrances are: Citron, Oriental Blossom, Jasmine and Oud.
Pharmacist Margo Marrone, the founder of the house, worked on the perfumes development for over three years with her husband Franco, who is responsible for the bottles design. Perfumes contain no artificial fragrances, no artificial colors, no animal ingredients or toxins. They include exotic ingredients gathered around the world.
Organic Glam Arabian Oud represents a visit to the Arab markets of incense, its air filled with interwoven intoxicating aromas of sandalwood, cedar and oud. The composition opens boldly with cedar, Indian oud, black pepper and cardamom. Rose and clary sage are placed on the base of sandalwood, vetiver, tonka bean, lavender and mandarin.
The bottles are made of heavy glass and custom stoppers in the vintage 1920s style. The touch of modern glam is provided by the golden logos on the bottles. Perfumes are available in bottles of 100 ml.
Organic Glam Oud was launched in 2010.

I love this! Its a beautiful fragrance. The initial scent is overpoweringly masculine. But it tones down almost immediately into something warm, soft and deep. It becomes v wearble evem for females. In fact, i think its more feminine than masculine after the initial blast. Woody, incensey, slightly sweet. MmmmmmmmMm~ its amazing. The huge price tag is justified. Plus its organic!
Great for cold weather/ airconditioned environments.

Organic Glam Oud is a cool chypre with woody overtones. (Imagine a more natural, woodier interpretation of Rive Gauche.) It starts with a burst of herbal/aromatic notes and oak moss “dust”. It eventually turns into an expensive soap smell with mossy/woody drydown. Something about it reminds me of clean sheets drying in the sun, mixing with the smell of earth and grass. Overall this fragrance has a classic feel, but with a modern minimalist approach.
Staying power is impressive, I can detect the scent on my clothes the next day. One of the best natural creations. Unfortunately it is only available in 100 ml bottle and way too expensive for me.

Very interesting scent, but not at all what I expected. Starts out with a detectable oud note but evolves rather quickly and interstingly into a cool chypre fragrance. The dominant notes are the cedar, lavender, cardamom and vetiver, and maybe the clary sage. The oud is undetectable after about a half hour. The overall impression for me is minty and aromatic. Not unpleasant but not feminine at all. It reminds me a little of Annick Goutal Mandragore Poupre.

Organic Glam OUD is a scrumptious oriental perfume. I’m not an expert on oud and am only beginning to explore this note, but here it smells wonderful: deeper than some incense and less tarry than myrrh.
This very natural-smelling composition includes several oriental and woody elements in addition to the aromatic lavender and clary sage, but the latter are complementary not focal notes. The pepper, too, is happily low key, but the cardamom is definitely detectable and blends perfectly with the woods and the oud to produce a very warm and inviting creation with a chypre-like texture.
OUD has medium sillage and would be just as easily wearable by men as by women. On my wish list for winter!
