This is great for the price. It reminds me a lot of Meow. Same strong pear note. I would not expect something complicated or rare. It’s not a chanel or a dior but it does smell good. It’s something I could see a younger person wearing because it is quite candy-ish but i like it. The bottle freaks me out a bit because I feel like she is staring at me. This is my first Nicki Minaj perfume and it was a blindbuy.I was hesitant to order it just because of the word aquatic among accords describing it and also I was afraid of a dominant waterlily but on the other hand I love pear.
It was a like at first sniff and a “I like it more and more” in time.
it’s not aquatic in the way I dislike.opens bright,juicy and fruity with strong pear and starfruit note and a less strong mandarin orange.mandarin fades away in minutes while pear lasts and gets more sweet and rounded.florals stay soft and pleasant.osmanthus is the only one I can recognize among them.and there’s just a hint of clean musk.There’s slight changes in notes and it’s pleasant all through it’s life but I like it’s dry down more.
Onika smells beautiful and calm.it’s sweet but not sickly,it’s fruity but in a beautiful way.I don’t find it a perfume that only suits teenagers.it’s fresh in a very feminine way.I’m 27 and never feel it’s out of place for me.it’s soft and sweet and pleasant.very feminine and easy to wear.it’s definitely well suited for summer days but I believe it’s wearable year round
About it’s bottle,I have a 3.4 oz one and it looks huge,heavy,weird and even creepy sometimes but I can’t say I hate it.I like to have perfume bottles that look different with others and this is among the very different ones.
About longevity,I guess that I have a strange skin.perfumes that other people find weak lasts on my skin for ages and vice versa.onkia has a very good longevity on my skin.I can smell this warm,sweet and inviting skin scent of candied pear,osmanthus and sweet,clean musk for hours on my hand.sillage is moderate at first which reduces to soft in half an hour

I think it starts out with a little coconut though it isn´t listed and that´s why it feels tropical to me. Pretty soon it feels sweet, fruity and aquatic. I got a sample of this after reading reviews…and unfortunately, I was let down! I don’t really see the hype in this fragrance. It smells like so many other perfumes on the market right now…to me, when I first spray it I am reminded of a perfume I used to have called Ed Hardy Love and Luck. After it dries down, I feel like I am wearing BBW Pink Chiffon, or one of any of the other many scents that smell JUST LIKE Pink Chiffon! Overall, it’s just not unique enough for me. This is my third Nicki perfume I also have Pink Friday and The Pinkprint. I really enjoy all of them but my complaint is they are all sooo light on me. Almost nonexistent really. I do sense a resemblance between this and Pink Friday but this is fresher, less sugary. In order for me to really get a feel for it I doused myself with about 20 sprays and its very nice!! (To me) its a combo of the pear, orange and what I assume is the star fruit sprinkled with sugar, light nondescript floral and no musk or woods even in the drydown. Luckily I have the big bottle because when I do wear this I will have to be very generous with my spraying!

I love, love, looooove this perfume!!!!! It is delicious, but not the kinda delicious you want to eat. It is sweet, but not oversweet. It is mostly fruity, but I smell a bit of flowers and a very very light spicy something that makes it just wonderful. If you like Bath & body work’s Pink chiffon, you’ll adore this for sure, they are very very similar in my opinion. It is a great perfume cause people around can smell you, but they won’t have a heartache! You know, when something in the air smell so good and your nose is searching for it badly cause oh my God, it’s awesome? Well, that’s the feeling you get when you smell someone wearing this. It is fresh and cozy at the same time, perfect for every season I think. It smells more like summer than winter though, but it definitely uplifts your mood on cold winter days in Québec!! 🙂

I deff have to back up the review a couple below mine with the “warm sugared pear” reference. This is a very simple scent, although very likeable and inoffensive.
I mostly smell the notes of pear, star fruit, and the sugar cane note.
This is my very first Nicki Minaj fragrance that I’ve owned, although I’ve smelled Pink Friday in stores before. I voted for this one with a “like” but I must say, it is a strong like and I’ve already gotten 2 compliments from people in the two times I’ve worn this.
Longevity is average, but on the low end of moderate lasting about 4 hours on my skin.
Sillage is the same. About average on me but on the lower end of average projecting about 2-3 feet and not very strongly. It’s a very “moderate strength” scent. Not loud, while not being undetectable either. For this reason, Onika is a VERY good choice for the office. It’s versatile, easily wearable no matter what month of the year it is, and will not offend anyone’s senses.
Overall, I’m impressed. It certainly isn’t in my top 10 fragrances, but I definitely like it. Even enough to recommend it.

Projection – Average. 2-3 feet.

Instead of Chanel, Dior or some other higher end fume? On Thanksgiving I decided to wear Onika. Why? Because it was described as a “butter bomb”. Warm baked pear. Perfect combo for food I thought, where it won’t be an unwelcome contrast. It will also keep me from giving an impression of being too snooty and be friendly instead. This reasoning and choice worked like a charm ,, and I was meeting my partner’s family for the first time on a large scale in Summit, Utah. I didn’t feel like I was wearing anything unadult or ridiculous. There is no group listing but Onika feels more gourmand than sweet floral fruity to me. I wore this successfully for a special moment meeting new people and enjoying good food. I smiled when I saw pears on the table cloth!

Quite similar to Pink Friday and Minajesty (like combination of both without the smell of plastic caramel and tonka bean), and I find it more pleasant than both – although I wish this includes red berries at top note as well (I love the fruity top note of Minajesty but hate the tonka bean smell shortly after). It’s a soft and calm fragrance.
Lasting power is great! I sprayed on my arm at 9am before going to work and still could smell it faintly at 8pm!
The only downside of this fragrance is that it caused redness on my skin, probably allergic to certain ingredient used in this fragrance.
Edit: I sprayed on my pillow and surprisingly the mandarin smell comes out stronger than on skin!

Marked down to ten bucks at Marshall’s? I’ll take it! I was so happy to spot this tucked way behind a bunch of other boxes. When this first came out, I smelled it and liked it quite a bit. At the time, I was purchasing something else, so I left this on the shelf and never bought it. A few days ago I saw it and I wasn’t going to leave the store without it!
This smells so wonderful! It’s a light and “happy” scent, but there’s also a maturity to it. It’s not a teeny-bopper scent to me. There is some juicy fruitiness as well as lovely florals; orchid and lily. I notice the Mandarin orange more than the pear, but it’s not overwhelming. I think the white musk is what pulls it all together. After a while, it smells like clean skin laced with fruits and florals. So nice!
This projected about arm’s length, maybe a little less, but the longevity is really nice! On me, I got about 7 hours or so. I’m really enjoying this and will mostly likely buy more when I’m out.

Still, I’m glad I got this, and my end up getting Minajesty.

To be completely honest here, I do like it but I don’t think it’s anything special. I get the pear and sweetness from the sugar but overall it’s just another fruity and sweet celebrity scent, which seems to be a standard for celebrities to flock to when they want to release something.
The bottle design looks like the rest but I do love the black angled Bob cut it has even more than the long pink hair that Pink Friday has.
I was just thinking that considering this fragrance is named after her real name, she would make it something a bit more personal; something different that would standout from the others. All in all a nice fragrance but typical and just meh.

Nicki’s fragrances are similar to one another but this one smells very “buttery” to me, i don’t know how to explain it’s very fruity but yet at the same time that sugar really stand outs making the fragrance smell sort of like caramelized pears with a hit of flowers. The body cream is very thick and dosen’t smell quite like the fragrance layering would be a good idea too since the lasting power isn’t that great. Overall this is my favourite bottle from her but not my favourite scent from her.

I never cared enough about Nicki’s perfumes to own any. Pink Friday, altho good, it goes bad in the bottle too soon and Minajesty has a masculine vibe which I don’t like and the drydown smells like fried food on me lol. But Onika is beyond amazing. First time I tried it on and walked outside, the warm breeze transferred the aroma to my nose and I couldn’t get my wrists off my face(I always KNOW if I like a perfume or not when I smell them outside). I love the smell of pears, I choose musk over vanilla and im a sucker for white flowers(osmanthus, water lily). This perfume is so nicely formulated it doesn’t turn plastic on my skin and I can smell every bit of the flowers and fruits in it. I agree with the review below me, its a hot date perfume or special occasion. Im in love

Update: Now it’s 2017 and my bottle has officially gone bad and smells old. I will stay away from Nicki’s perfumes as they all go bad very quickly. I have Katy Perry’s Purr bought in 2010 and it still smells amazing, same with Rihanna’s and Beyonce’s. Theyre good quality.
Update: Im SO glad I was able to revive it, not on purpose it just happened. It had started smelling old ,stinky and pure alcohol, on my skin and on paper, terrible. I was so sad and was tempted to throw it away but couldnt find the courage cuz its like 97% full and i still absolutely love what it was when it was fresh. So I sprayed it a few times then placed it in a darker shelf for many days, just to keep it but not throw it away – I was heartbroken lol. Today I wanted to remember its scent and so I took it out and sprayed on paper, smelled fresh! then sprayed on me and smells like new!! Really happy i didnt toss it. 😀
Never had an old stinky perfume go fresh again. Its prolly more delicate and needs absolute darkness.

This is the grown up version of ONIKA where we see all of those debuffs of wigs and alter egos come into one intelligent and extrememly flavorfull personality. This perfume will make anyone come closer to you and want to get to know you better.. The question is can you handle the attention.. I wear this when I get my favorite outfit on and know I will go all the way and be daring/ Yeah it can also be worn on any day of the week but I would advise against it because it belongs in that special category. 🙂 XX

This is an incredibly versatile perfume. I’ve smelled the bottle at least 4 different times at Kohls and it’s smelled different each time. First I thought it smelled gross, but the next time I smelled it I found it to be very decent and good for nighttime wear. It smelled juicier the next time I smelled it, but I still hadn’t tested it on my skin. Fast forward to today. I received Minajesty Exotic in the mail and a rollerball of Onika came with it as a free gift. I tried it on my skin and it was initially very tropical, but as it dried it lost most of the delicious fruit I had smelled in the opening. What followed wasn’t bad, though. After wearing it for about 10 minutes it smelled really unique and is appropriate to wear all year. Although, I think it’s best for a summer night, personally. If it had stayed tropical I think it would have been too close to the Minajesty line. On my skin this perfume is the most unique one that she’s made. Very different from the Pink Friday line. I kind of view this as a “wild card” perfume, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a blind buy. Testing is important for a fragrance like this one.
Edit: I put some on my wrist 12 hours ago and washed my hands several times and I can still smell it. I’m definitely buying a bottle soon. It definitely agrees with my skin chemistry!

The Onika fragrance is my favourite, as it’s definitely the most mature. I don’t know why people are saying it’s for teenagers and kids, because this one smells quite more mature to be honest! When I first smelled this, I could’ve sworn it was Pink Friday. But that’s only for about 30 seconds as it vastly drys into a nice sweet caramel! The pear is very bold, but not overpowering. I also get sugarcane and mandarin orange, with the slightest taste of starfruit. The bottle and packaging? Well the box is more mature as well, with gold whiter and black making it look really nice and neat. The “O” symbol on the box is great too. And I absolutely LOVVE the bottle, this one especially. Even the bottle contains more maturity, as it’s a natural looking one. It’s also clear. Very clear. I can’t emphasize that enough because it’s so different. You can see the pump in this one and the dress, or corset or whatever you want to call it is something right out of Nicki Minaj’s mature closet. The late 2014 – early 2015 Nicki Is so present here. It’s a nice keepsake for any occasion. That’s another thing. This fragrance isn’t just for summer or fall, I feel like it’s an all year round fragrance, for women mostly. I love minajesty and pink friday, and onika is possibly the best one in addition to being my favorite of nicki minaj’s three main fragrances in her fragrance line. Onika has the best longevity of the three scents and the pear and mandarin orange really stand out on my skin. I thought I could also make out some sort of berry smell, raspberry in particular, but was mistaken when I learned of Onika’s actual notes.

This is a very similar fragrance to her original ‘Pink Friday’. I love both and have had this since its release. I like the fact that it is a bit more fruity and light or as Nicki said on HSN ‘Like angels dancing in the garden of perfection’. This fragrance was made with the new version of Nicki. The stripped back all natural Nicki. The Perfume is supposed to be inspired by her roots in Trinidad and Tobago. Her new album is the same. Her life stripped back and laid bare. This is the Nicki I love and will always love. Can’t wait for any new perfumes to come and I can’t wait to see her live in 2015. This gets a 9/10 from me and I love you Queen Nicki x

I smelled this at the store on Black Friday. When you first spray it, it kind of smells like Pink Friday, but that goes away real quick. Right away for me, it starts going into coconut and the dry down smells like fresh movie theater popcorn–IN A GOOD WAY. It’s not too strong and the lasting power is very good. I cannot wait to buy it.

I don’t think this smells anything like her other perfumes at all. This one, to me, is a lot warmer.
I think of Rihanna’s Rebelle actually, it’s very heavy on the coconut. I can’t believe it’s not listed on the notes because coconut is literally all I can smell. My initial reaction upon first spray was that it smells identical to a pina colada.
I like it, it’s not loud or in your face. Just fresh, breezy, yet warm and pretty too.
I don’t think it’s going to be anyone’s signature, but it’s great for every day use, I’d purchase a bottle!

When this fragrance was first announced along with its notes I was terrified it was going to smell to much like her 1st fragrance Pink Friday as they share quite a few key notes such as: Pear, Star fruit, Lily and Caramel (or in this instance sugar cane). And worried I should have been! I received this fragrance in the mail in a swap with another fragrance collector and it smells very, very similar the only difference I can detect as of yet is that I feel the star fruit is enhanced giving it a fresher lighter vibe. The biggest difference though (still extremely mild) is that I feel that the pear has also been enhanced by placing it into the top instead of the bottom making it a bit heavier then her debut fragrance. But other these are the only 2 differences I can depicted at this time. I would sum it up by saying that this fragrance is pretty much just a Pink Friday 2.0 in my eyes, quite disappointed.

I kind of like this – but it has taken me a while to realise what it smells of- those chewy banana flavoured sweets. Hmmm I don’t think I want to smell of a sweet banana.

I wish Nicki’s fragrances had more stay power. This really does smell great as with all her other perfumes but the scent fades so fast on them that I can’t justify buying any more then a roller ball in her scents!
I even returned my minajesty exotic though it smelled amazing, it lasted maybe 1 hour!
Beautiful scents but worth half the price in my opinion

This perfume is absolutely gorgeous! behind Pink Friday and Minajesty this is her best fragrance. This is like a fresher juicier version of Katy Perry’s Meow. i feel like i always talk about that one cause Beyoncé’s Wild Orchid smelt quite similar to Meow, but Onika is what i wanted Meow to be; fruity, juicy, fresh and tropical flowers. Meow was hooked up on too much sweetness and vanilla but Onika is stunning.
The lasting power is quite good about 5-6 hours and it radiates within arms length. i wore my little sample for 1 day and i got at least 6 compliments from people on the tube and in the street. i will deffo buy a large bottle very soon. Nicki must be doing something right i love all her perfumes!

This is by far her best fragrance. I thought Minajesty would be her best one because of the Tonka, but something in this is just beautiful. It does have VERY similar notes to Pink Friday but they do have very obvious differences! This one doesn’t have that cheap synthetic smell to it like PF, it’s a lot fresher and more clean smelling. The pear in this is beautiful when you first spray it! Like the pear is gorgeous! The other fruits are there but it’s still the pear! The dry down OMG the dry down, the dry down reminds me of Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson! It smells wonderfully creamy and sweet! Such a gorgeous fragrance! Can not wait to get it!
The bottle also is beautiful! This is by far her best bottle design! It looks nice, it feels and its just an all round great bottle design with a beautiful box to match!
Considering I dont like the rest of her fragrances with the exception of Minajesty, this one is really good! The lasting power on me was about 6 hours which is fantastic for the Nicki minaj range! Highly recommended for a sniff!
