I started out with a small sample bottle of this fabulous fragrance. I loved the hint of pineapple and the lavender and roses all wrapped up in the warmest of woods and amber. I knew I needed more so I sought out a 100ml spray on ebay. Only a few out there so I chose the cheapest and said a prayer that it would be “worth it” to have the whole bottle.
It was worth it, and how! The little splash bottle I bought must have been a bit old or poorly stored as the Olivier Strelli spray version is even better! This time the pineapple is very present and the lavender is sort of “polleny”, if that’s a word. It is a better floral as a spray a nose tickling delightful thing of beauty.
The scent still dries down to that cuddly warm place and that’s just fine with me. The dry down makes this scent distinctly unisex in feel and the fact that the lavender and pineapple dwarfs the rose I would say there is no reason for a guy to shy away from it at all.

I have an opportunity to try the fragrance thanks to Action’s generosity – thank you, Action!
The fragrance to me – is on the borderline between oriental floral and vanilla, although I am aware there is no vanilla listed in notes! It must be tonka giving this warm and cosy powdery sweet feel!
I must say I am impressed that such an unknown fragrance is so sophisticated and well done.
I get hardly any pineapple on its own and the most striking note isn’t rose at all but a mixture of lavender, jasmin and patchouli dipped in tonka warm-sweet sauce 🙂
Aside Cristobal by Balenciaga and Sun Moon Stars by Lagerfeld – it is one of these oriental beauties I will certainly wear quite often!
Well worth trying!
P.S. The bottle is very elegant and makes an impression on people watching me pulling it out of my handbag 🙂
Unusual sliding cap, uniquely shaped atomiser, fantastic bottle decoration with a little dangly bit, Oh it is to fall in love! But wait till you have a first spray! You will want it to be yours!
The drydown is very unusual – sweet salty!

Wauw, unbelievable this has so few reviews!! It is a typical figgy and plummy perfume, with notes of pineapple. It is a more ‘dense’ version of Cristobal, less sweet, thicker in some way. I find it quite alluring!

This fragrance is not produced anymore, and that is really a shame! It refelects the creations of Strelli, a Belgian Fashion House, that is ethnic, colourful and inspired by Morocco, Algeria, … .
I could by this scent in “Ici Paris XL” for 20 euro’s in the sales. That’s the only reason why you would go to that chain. Their service is terrible.
It’s a fantastic creation that lasts long, with a very good silage. You have to love it, but that counts for all fragrances ;o)

I just got a sample of this in the mail from Scented Monkey. I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but it turns out this is really, really good! I didn’t smell any pineapple, maybe a faint Rose and Jasmine. I also can’t pick out the lavender. This one has pink pepper listed in the top notes and sage in the middle, even though it isn’t listed here. The notes blend together well even though I would have guessed they wouldn’t. I really get the base notes loud and clear here, they are warm and they are something special. This perfume really smells expensive, and it makes a statement. I would recommend it to anyone that’s a fan of oriental florals. It says on the back of the packaging it’s made with strong concentration of natural oils. So I expect this won’t fade away after a few hours of wear.
