“Nostos” by L’Erbolario-Lodi was a good scent and it is a pity it’s been discontinued. (L’Erbolario produces so many fragrances that some must be discontinued in order to introduce new ones without ending offering 50 different perfumes on the shelves, so I understand the necessity but I just regret Nostos was one of the dropped ones).
Though it was marketed as an unisex fragrance (as many L’Erbolario perfumes) it is actually a definetely manly one, much more manly than many fragrances marketed as “for men” nowadays indeed.
Nostos is the greek word for the returns of the heroes from the War of Troy and actually this fragrance is so strong and manly it could have been an ancient hero’s scent (lol). I don’t find it fresh! I find it strong and very aromatic!
It’s very heavy in projection and longevity, 3 or 4 sprays and you wiill still smell it on your skin the day after.
A winter time perfume, not “old” but surely “classic”, mature and elegant too.
The packaging, as for all older L’Erbolario perfumed lines, is outstandingly lovely.
