Yes, soapy and scrubbed clean. Slightly green. Fresh.
I detect a mimosa-like component which balances it although mimosa apparently isn’t in it.
More feminine in some ways than masculine and certainly mature but men can pull this one off too. I couldn’t imagine a young person wearing this but it’d be different and great if they did.
Rasasi Afshan does it better in my opinion although this has it’s place and is worth the money. This one takes a good hour to settle and blossom into what I consider to be its best and longest lasting phase on me.
Longevity is not in question and it projects extremely well. They’ll all smell it alright. Don’t worry about that.
I like it but I’ll be wearing it after a working day shower just for myself and not when I’m out. That’s just me.
Overall its a good one. Glad I bought it.

I think you all might be confusing this attar with Noora by Swiss Arabian.
This IMO smells like the soap, clean smell you are smelling.
This attar however, is completely different!
Thank you funnboy for your review and noting this:-)

I have no idea what everyone is smelling, my Noora oil is 0% flowers, 0% detergent, 0% soap. 100% woody notes. 100% masculine.

When I tried this perfume it reminds me of something…something familiar..and in the end I figure it out…camay soap.Nice, clean, creamy, floral, perfect for every ocasion when you want to smell clean, but feminine.I had a sample but I think I will buy the edp, it’s good to have in my collection such a fragrance, perfect foe every day use.

Winter is coming here in the U.k and, like some people I change the style of my fragrance.
I have had Noora in my collection for a while and only worn it once.
This is the perfume oil and today I smell better than wearing some of the expensive offerings that are gone in a flash!
After an hour I get chocolate and strawberry..sweet but not sickly and very few floral notes at all.
Where the other reviewers get clean laundry and citrus baffles me as can’t smell a trace of these either.
An unusual offering.Unique and long lasting.
More of a self pleasing scent for wearing indoors on a cool Autumn night.
I think it is delicious and, in my opinion these Arabian oils are fabulous, concentrated and great value for money.
Another great thing.is that you don’t smell like everyone else.
I will definitely buy some more from this house!
My personal rating is a good 4.5 out of 5.

I also get a fruity laundry detergent…but its a classy interpretation, if thats even possible? Its addictively delicious, anyhow.
I would absolutely wear this as an office fragrance.
Not what I expected from this house, but nice all the same.
Not sure this fits in to the Oriental genre, though.
EDIT: This is my new favourite clean daytime fragrance. Perfect for when you want to exude a clean, graceful air and arent up for anything too complex, dark, chypre etc. I feel supremely feminine in this…I’d find this an odd smell on a dude.
EDIT 2: Something struck me while perfume browsing online last night. I’m wondering if people are reviewing two different fragrances here? Swiss Arabian also do a fragrance called Noora, with a similar note pyramid. I haven’t tried it, but perhaps this is the darker, more opulent Oriental some people have reviewed here?

@raquel I agree! It’s a floral clean laundry detergent scent with a little warmth to it. I wonder if it was reformulated or people are confusing it with a different one. It couldn’t be farther away from Addict or Manifesto. The last few reviews have noted this is a floral detergent scent so it makes me wonder what the older reviews were smelling?

    ADDICT, Cinema, YSL? really ?
I can not take any vanilla, no chocolate, sandal, oud …. Nothing!
This is the same as the detergent for clothes, flowers and more mixed flowers. My great-grandmother could carry this without problem. In my skin it is really horrible!
Lunele says that it worked for her in the summer … I will have to wait, now in winter and very cold, I don´t like 🙁

I got my Noora delivered yesterday. The box is really nice with a golden bottle and a gem stone on the cap. This is my first oriental cpo purchase ever and I bought it because of all the good reviews it got right here on Fragrantica.
The opening was (in my opinion) marzipan and strawberry. Maybe it is my skin that boosted the sweet scent. After a while it become soft and soapy ( in a nice way). The dry down is like a total dramatic change to oudh and vanilla. It smells really subtle, warm and absolutely not to sweet. A great perfume:))

Noora is a lovely scent that I really enjoy wearing. It’s one of the few fragrances that I can pick out the notes in it. I have this in the oil and adore it. On me I smell the orange and strawberry and I love it especially the orange it smells so divine. Then I get a clean floral or a fresh clean scent that lasts for quite a bit. Finally I get down to chocolate, honey, and oud and as was said its not an oud that grabs you. It’s very gentle and nice if you are just getting into frags that have it this is a good start. I still find this on me as a more warm weather perfume and more feminine leaning in my opinion.
Al haramain has been making some really good scents. I love oils over edp and I find this has a moderate sillage and lasts for hours. All in all Noora is a really lovely scent to wear. It can be deep and exotic or fresh and clean the trip to the dry down is so worth it! I would repurchase this and will be trying more scents from al haramain. 🙂

This is the most beautiful, soft, sweet, clean laundry scent. I don’t find it as dark and sultry as others seem to. I find it more fresh and soapy. To me it’s more like burying your face in still hot, freshly laundered fluffy towels scented with a floral vanilla fabric softener. I think it can work on a man or a woman, but I feel it leans slightly more feminine. I have the oil and have not tried the spray.

Good morning perfume lover… I adore this perfume very much… I love it… It smells really soft… I like soft perfume… Although it states that it is unisex… A bit more to woman… It was like 60:40… But hey… I’m a man… Abd yet i love it very much… Congratulations to al haramain…

Just Devine. Starts out with Jasmine and latter settles down to a deeper blend of Amber, oud and sandle on my skin.Lasts for ages. Heady and intoxicating.

I’m curious to explore fragrances named after light. How fascinating to capture the idea of light in a scent, as in a painting. Seeing ‘light’ depicted in art is one of my favourite things. And this perfume is a lovely little work of art.
(Just by the by, the bottle of the perfume spray is also an extraordinary thing, a combination of magic lamp with jewelled spaceship or fantastic golden submarine, pretty in a very weird way.)
The ‘light’ in this scent is a luxurious bright glow, as from a beautiful exotic lamp in a room that’s richly decorated – but still homely and welcoming. This noor is not a solar scent, or an intense ray.
It’s perfectly smooth, and some magic has been done with fruits, and honey, and with enigmatic oud. The fruits are fresh but refined, the honey is deep and the oud is quietly mesmerising, in harmony with vanilla and the host of other elements so melded together that I can’t pick out the separate notes – and yet there’s no sense that any of the lovely notes have lost their identity. The oud in this noor is beautifully different to some of my other oud-containing fragrances, in which oud grabs me by the neck, from the inside of my neck (ouch).
No ouch here. Far from it. This noor al haramain is radiant and warm, distinctive and present, exceptionally pleasant, quite long lasting, worth a very large number of sniffs.
Edit: the perfume oil seems to me brighter, richer, warmer than the spray, even more smoothly blended and with even more mesmerising but still delicate oud.

A delicious sensual fragrance which lasts for ages. Top notes are citrusy, middle notes of Jasmine and rose then later a heavier blend of sandalwood, Amber, oud and patchouli. Very heady and warm.Addictive.

Noora is one of the best oriental perfume on my list. Noora and Marwah, both mesmerizing and to the right skin, magical and enticing.
Noora begins with a beautiful blast of balmy oranges, herbal ginger, well tamed aromatic spices and sweet soft strawberries. I wouldn’t describe this scent as complex because the transformation is very slow that at first, I sense it as linear.
Every cold season, I always look forward to wearing Noora because the scent (oil) is not too overwhelming and offensive. Upon application, the blend has taken me back to memories of childhood and youth, those happy moments when life is easy.
Noora to my skin is short lived on it’s middle stage. The floral notes were kind of hiding more often. That is perfect for me since I am not much a fan of white florals unless it is blended with gourmand notes like those oriental gourmand flankers from Thierry Mugler’s Alien lines.
The dry down is a treat, the base composition, nicely harmonized that every hour wearing it is enchanting, pleasing and assuring. Exquisite dark chocolate mixed with well-tamed lavished oud, sensual patchouli, aromatic sandalwood and traces of sweetness from honey, what a tempting yet meditating scent journey.

I really liked Noora on my friend so I decided to buy a bottle for myself, althought the scent overall is nice, it really doesn’t work well with my skin chemistry. So, because of that I’ve given my bottle to the same friend that inspired me to buy Noora in the first place. I get mostly oud from this fragrance and I think it’s kind of a unisex perfume as it also smells masculine. Longevity is the best, 10 hours plus!

Strange as it seems, many people say Sheikha is much like Noora, but they smell totally different on my skin. Sheikha seemed to me a bit business-like, while Noora is a;ways sure to raise your spirits

I’m a big fan of perfume oils, I love Al Haramain as well, although a lot of fragrances are a bit oldfashioned or outdated…. Noora is an absolute favourite. From the box where it’s in till the gold color bottle with beautiful crystal stone in the stopper…. But the most important is the perfume of course. It opens sweet, but it makes me think of soap, it feels clean and fresh. There’s a creamy touch to it that makes it delicate. I accidentally got it on my lips and it tastes like soap as well. As it dries down it stays soapy but it gets warmer, a tad woody even, I get the chocolate hint as well and the soapyness must come from the flower bouquet, jasmin, rose and probably ylang ylang…. Not an expert but the flowers are really noticable.
It’s a beautiful composition that plays between sweet and floral and it lasts quite a while with a decent sillage that is not overpowering.
Nice for summer weather and if you like clean smells, you will absolutely love this

This does have a similar smell to superhit incense sticks, which was why I bought it and honestly love it! I will be rebuying this when I’m running low. Smells very alluring and grown up

You’ve no idea how much I wanted to love this scent, especially after seeing the notes and reading the other reviews. I wanted the sensual and delectable but I tried it today and on me it smells like laundry detergent. I think it’s the oud and I should’ve known but just assumed it would blend in. Nope.
One thing is certain: if you know someone who loves Noora and want to make a gift of it, it is reasonably priced and the presentation is truly awesome – a sealed outer box with a starlit disco sky, a flip-top box lined with a satiny material in which to store the golden bottle with gem-like ornamentation on the lid. It made me feel like I was getting something truly special and so I am especially sad that it doesn’t work with my chemistry.
I’ll try any scent, twice, however, and will update if this changes with the weather, etc.
UPDATE: So, it’s now July and the detergent aspect is nowhere to be found. How cool is that? Now, I’m smelling chocolate-y sweet deliciousness. I could do without the powdery aspect (I’ll just keep blaming the oud) but even that is not very pronounced at this point. Noora is warm and lovely and I would like for it to work out in winter, too, as it was the time of year for which I was originally buying it. We’ll see what happens as the year progresses.

Mesmerizing- I have never been a fan of orange, I never bought orange shower gel etc, but in this perfume i truly enjoy orange and honey. It’s so different from the other perfumes i had, I just can’t get enough of this. I have it in the oil and spray version too. I had to buy the spray because of the beautiful bottle <3 I’m also very happy that in my country only one company sells these arab perfumes, so I can’t smell it on others with the exception of my mom and friend for whom i bought this treasure :))

This has now become one of my prized possessions. It’s multi layered, complexity is so inviting and addictive. Along the lines of Diors Addict, and YSL Cinema, ChanelAlure. Its simply beautiful and extremely alluring.
I am not so sure this really is a winter fragrance, as I am enjoying it all through the summer months.
Its justs gets better and and better with time.
It feels creamy, exotic, and very velvety. I am sure that is the chocolate note.
Projection is very good, as is longevity.
I have worn this both, day and night.
A true keeper, if you like rich scents.
