First spritz….plummy/fruity….then…woods…ambergris..dry woods…then the florals rise up…I get touches of iris/lily/violet combo…with sweetness returning too. I get a little booziness too.(?).For me,this scent does not “match” the bottle…lol…the bottle is rather stunning and “dark”.
Not an amazing scent…run of the mill fruity floral musk. Not bad. Projection and sillage….average.

One smell and pure headache!! Smells very matronly to me. Worst ever!!

Beautiful fragrance and SO easy to wear, safe for work or certain professions, even safe for blind buy. It is fresh, young but mature enough. It starts off fresh and sweet and gently gets warmer with time, no sharp or loud notes whatsoever that irritate my nose and my hubby’s sensitivity. But the scents are definitely noticeable in a very pleasant way. This one and Bombshell Paris, and the new one Love are the three that I like the most about Victoria’s Secret fragrances (when Love is “warmly sweet”, this one is a little bit “freshly green”, and Bombshell Paris is the “freshest green”). They are so different than all of them in the brand.
And yes I think that this fragrance is somehow underrated. I just stocked up some big size bottles during the Semi Annual sale this year at VS’s.
Also, the body mist and the lotion are even more lovely.

It’s mature, deep but powdery and has this “midnight freshness” to it. It may smell a little unisex or even masculine at first because of the top notes being quite citrussy but after a while it settles in to be a woody, sexy and fresh fragrance. I even smell berries sometimes. This fragrance is like a chameleon. It smells so different on everyone I’ve smelled it on, it’s crazy! I wear it when I go out and I always get complimented on it.

After testing this years ago I have been hooked ever since on this one! (and IMO a very underrated VS perfume!)
On me this is a sexy jasmine, musky, woody, plummy, sandalwood mixed with hints of amber and black raspberry!!
Sillage and longevity are moderate on me and IMO this one could be worn year round..just mist lightly in the summer and more heavily in the colder months.
This one is always a repeat purchase as long as they keep making it!!

I love this scent…my friend gave me a decant of this, and I had to purchase the large bottle. I LOVE it so much! It is sexy, and warm/deep, and makes me feel confident. I may get tired of it eventually, but I will be enjoying it on date nights for a while 😉 It has good sillage, but longevity is weak on me. It’s a boudoir-sexual scent to me and it reminds me of sexy love making in the sheets… haha.

Victoria Secret Night Fragrance Mist is for me so beautiful. The Eau de Parfum in the heavier black bottle is ugly smell very masculine not like parfum for woman at all and I did not like it after I tested it with a lady at the Victoria Secret store where I buy my lingerie. She said maybe you will like the mist is softer so I tried it and yes I like it. The fragrance mist is smaller size and come in different color like a cherry red color. You can put it in your handbag. The scent is different than the EDP. The scent is fruitier and sweeter a little sour and also floral and woodsy musky, soapy. Smell at first of fresh lemon and orange green apple raspberry and plum. Then I smell the flowers of orchid jasmine violet and lily. Smell like soapy white flowers clean and very nice. Finally is a dry down of sandalwood some patchouli and musk lots of dark woods. Very soft and does not last long but smell good when you wear her and when you are fresh from shower. Smell elegant and very sophisticated with a lot of notes the most notes in one perfume for Victoria Secret. Smell very different and always get compliment. Buy the mist!

This perfume is everything. That sophisticated smell. i love it. i could fall a sleep wearing this. i feel like this can be a signature scent.

Smells like men’s after shave at first (which is ok if you like that) then after about two hours dries down to a knock off of flora by Gucci but not in a good way.

I’m was surprised to see Night didn’t review well here I just love this complicated fruity floral it’s magic. Smelled it on someone and it went right on a to-buy list. I have it now and reach for this above my others at the moment

  13. :

I love the bottles of Victoria’s Secret perfumes, and I love the bottle for this one. I like the Art-Deco-esque design. I bought it because of that and because it was the only VS perfume that smelled different than the others. ( I think VS perfumes smell the same and smell pretty cheap).
But I was disappointed that the scent doesn’t last at all, and it is not a dark perfume at all. It should not be called Night.

  14. :

    3 out of 5

It smells like a shower gel or even men’s shave gel. I wouldn’t spray it on myself. It smells cheap.

  15. :

This review is for the mist!!!
This fragrance exceeded my expectations only because of the plum and patchouli combo that simply do not like but it blended very well in this fragrance. The only way I see people not liking this fragrance is because it smells a little masculine and a bit aquatic which is not common in the VS fragrance line. Everything is practically sweet, fruity and floral which is described above but this is very different in a good way.

  16. :

    4 out of 5

Ugh. Just because a scent has ten plus notes to it, doesn’t make it interesting. Like the poster below, I too, get mainly green apple from this. Nothing dark about it at all. I was also somewhat horrified that the bottle is so cheap looking! I ended up re-gifting this to a friend of mine this past holiday. I have no clue if she liked it, she never even mentioned it. On my skin, it smelled like dish soap.

  17. :

    4 out of 5

My review is about the body mist, not the EDP.
Well… it’s not a dark fragrance, the smell doesn’t match the bottle. It’s soft woody and slightly aquatic. I liked it because it’s fresh and clean but it’s something different from my citrus daytime collection.
I am not fan of VS perfumes at all, but this one is a nice daytime body mist.

  18. :

    3 out of 5

This is in no way anything you would want to wear at “Night” or for an evening out. It is a lackluster daytime floral. It’s nice but there is nothing special or anything that separates it from the other dime a dozen florals. Its longevity isn’t very good. It only last a couple of hours on me and I have to reapply several times a day. If I hadn’t gotten it on sale for $25 I would be pretty upset and I will not be rebuying.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

Worst blind buy ever. I so wanted to get jammy plum from this. Instead, all I got was a green apple scent, followed by a powdery mess. After ten minutes, there was no depth, just a light clean and fresh scent. I don’t think there is anything “night” about this scent. It’s fresh and clean for daytime and has little to no lasting power.

  20. :

    3 out of 5

To me, this is one of the sexiest and most underrated perfumes out there. Based on some of the notes I thought that it was going to be powdery on me so I was somewhat apprehensive about purchasing it.Normally tonka bean and violet stand out on me as super powdery but in this perfume they’re perfectly balanced with the other notes.Thumbs up to this one.

  21. :

This is one of the best bottle around. The perfume do not match and with the bottle and with the name. The scent is very fresh and simple. On the mouillette I can only smell a sort of Green apple shampoo. not else.

MeanSuga – what is CC Noir?

  25. :

    3 out of 5

It’s simple although it has so many notes, it’s Victoria’s Secret. That’s it! To be honest I am not a huge fan of VS perfumes but for sure I have smelled way better perfumes/body mists, closer to my taste.
It needs reaplying as it lasts almost 2-3 hours but who cares? It is what it says it is. A night time perfume. It’s not dark at all. What I like is it’s sexy character but with VS style. Not dirty or provocative, ideally playful. For sure it doesn’t smell ‘generic’ and I appreciate this.
I would call it a soft woody, slightly fresh/aquatic and a touch of pleasent fruitiness. I like it. I am not dying for it but if I had to use it (that I will for sure) would be to refresh my self before I sleep, or to tease someone in case we’ll sleep together. ^_^

  26. :

    3 out of 5

I smell citrus mostly due to the green apple, I assume. Very fresh and light so can be worn during the day mostly. I persobally would wear this during the day, not night.

FRAGRANCE REVIE WFOR NIGHT BY VICTORIA’S SECRET
Top Notes: Apple Sea Water Jasmine Lemon Orchid Dark Woods
Middle Notes: Plum Lily Orange Iris Violet Peony Angel’s Trumpet
Base Notes: Dark Woods Musk Amber Sandalwood Vanilla Driftwood Tonka Patchouli Raspberry
Victoria’s Secret perfumes are usually very nice and hugely popular. I actually prefer their fragrances to their actual lingerie. I’m an Agent Provocateur lingerie girl. Night is a polarizing perfume. It’s very different than all the other VS fragrances and therefore it’s special. I love it. It does have a unisex quality because it does have astringent citrus and strong woods like those found in men’s colognes in addition to patchouli and musk. But I like it because of these notes. The scent is very strong, an evening cologne, formal, confident, bold and seductive. The opening is fresh with aquatic notes, a lemon that smells like aftershave and a touch of orchid. The other flowers are not key players other than that orchid but they’re clearly there: iris violet lily and angel’s trumpet also known as datura. The fragrance is mostly big on the dark woods which is why they called it Night. It tried to be something of a chypre. But it’s far too fruity in my opinion to be a traditional chypre. There’s a big plum juice in this bottle, like dark plum, and something almost like dark grapes. If you let your nose do all the work you can also detect sweet notes of vanilla and raspberry. I love the way the bottle looks as it’s an elegant vanity dresser table type of perfume. A gorgeous scent but not for everyone. If you like the notes in this perfume go for it. If you don’t care for woods patchouli and citrus, or unisex fragrances, then just stick to other VS perfumes.

  28. :

This is so amazing for a Victoria Secret perfume. I was blown away. This fragrance wasn’t kidding around. It’s a powerful evening cologne for a woman who already has her target in mind to seduce. And she’s gonna get him too. This fragrance opens with aquatic notes. It smells like a fresh sea air, like a cool breeze. It then becomes as fruity but not too fruity scent of apples, lemons, plums, and citrus. I smelled mostly the plum and apple. The flowers in this fragrance include orchid, lily, iris, violet and one unusual flower: angel’s trumpet also known as datura. This is a poisonous flower but as a fragrance it’s very sweet and nice. The flowers are gorgeous and seductive especially that orchid and violet combo. The dry down is very woodsy, aromatic with patchouli and sandalwood but just enough sweetness with vanilla and raspberry. This fragrance would have been ruined without the woods. I think the woods is what makes this scent so mysterious seductive and “noir”. This has a lot of the other sweet notes like raspberries and fruit that make up most of my perfumes but this has that extra oomph and sex appeal with the dark woods and the flowers. This is the most floral and woodsy of the VS perfumes. It smells complex, amazing, vintage and gorgeous. I recommend this to all women and girls who really want to stop wearing candy and wear a real perfume.

I got the Night Lotion in a Victorias Secret lot off of Ebay. Its very strong. It smells more mature and grown up then other VS products. Very woody and deep. I smell the Apple, Plum and Sandlewood most prominently. For a lotion its very strong. I think i might buy the perfumes next cause i like the lotion.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I bought this is a blind buy based on the scent description on VS’s website. I was at work and smelled this amazing scent on someone, asked them what it was, and discovered it was the same scent I had ordered but not received in the mail yet! I love this scent. While I agree that it DOES have some masculine notes to it, I can also see it being described as a perfume for powerful women. In that regard, it reminds me of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid or Narciso Rodriguez For Her. It’s evocative of a strong, sexy, mysterious woman. I would describe it as being very warm. It develops well on the skin (for me at least), and while the silage is mild, I don’t need everyone to smell my perfume, I wear it for myself. I would say this scent is a great night scent, and would be best suited for cooler weather.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

I call it as a “dark-fruity and sweet” fragrance. It’s not only fruity and sweet, it has a strong but not overpowering woody scent. If you’re looking for sweet-fruity but not childish scent, go for it. It’s very sophisticated, different from any other fragrance.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

It is such a beautiful and feminine scent but longevity is so weak for an edp.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Found this quite different from Victoria’s Secret line, perhaps the only VS that I like so far…
I was quite intimidated at first since the bottle is black, gives and impression it belongs to more mature older women, but it’s pretty nice and last for a while…
I might have different experience with the others, yes it’s floral and woody, ends up powder but I didn’t find it masculine at all

  34. :

    5 out of 5

well this i buy miniature with the other VS perfume.
To me its smell like masculine powdery perfume. Like a soap.
not for me i guess. but if you like smell masculine, soapy try this one.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

From the number of notes listed, I expected something a bit more complex. The opening of this scent is slightly salty, but the dominant note throughout is a masculine, woodsy scent with a hint of fruit. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s also not particularly unique. Longevity is poor.

  36. :

Hmm when I see woody I know ill smell like a dude. There’s an intense masculine vibe in this perfume. I like the overall composition but Im not sure its suitable for me. I might give it to my mom who loves deep scents like this and drives an 18 wheeler for a living; This perfume is so masculine she might as well start repelling the male truckers that are constantly hitting on her LOL
Update: YES! on my mom it smells AMAZING. Projection is really good. She’s really into woody and dark scents and this one is the most feminine she owns. I grabbed her arm and asked what is this?! The dry down is fabulous. I bought another one for myself to give it another shot.

  37. :

I am Soooo IN LOVE with this perfume! It’s not the typical overly sweet perfume you usually find at VS. This smell is pretty unique. The only problem I have is I feel like I have to drench myself in it othewrwise there is no sillage and with a perfume like this, you really want to show it off, This one says SEXY, this one should be caled “Very Sexy NIGHT”. You can wear this durring the day because it is such soft sillage.
This would be my signature if it lasted even a little bit longer

  38. :

I fell in love with this when I tried it at VS and when I bought a bottle of it later, I fell in love all over again! I also bought some of the body spray. It is very sexy. It is very feminine. I would def. wear it on a date night. Soooo beautiful! I feel sooo sexy when I wear it, Ooooh La La!

  39. :

I fell in love with this one after testing. The initial notes are beautiful & feminine, bright and pretty florals, with a soft powdery note to balance it out, but it was the creamy, musky, sexy dry down that sold me on it. Love it!

  40. :

    5 out of 5

I think this was the scent I liked when I’d tried too many on at once last visit to Victoria’s Secret! I purchased one that disappointed last time, but this is the delicious one I wanted. Night is misnamed, I agree with others who point this out. It is a soft, feminine deeper-toned fruity/powdery Oriental mix. Just lovely! Well balanced vanilla and sweetness do not overtake the other notes. I purchased the very last bottle, so it must be a winner!

  41. :

Not really a night perfume for me. It is to light so it works best in daytime and especially in office.
I like the scent though. I bought Night and Dream Angels Forever for a very low and good price 🙂

I really do love this one from VS. I agree that this has a slight Moroccan feel, which is why I disagree that it’s been voted mainly for fall/winter. It feels equally appropriate for warm and cool weather to me. It could just be my body chemistry though.
It’s fruity and woody without being too sweet or cloying. And do I hint a little Oud? Hmmmm…very nice. It’s interesting and also pretty sexy.
Longevity 4 hrs and projection moderate.
    I love this!

This is like a deep sultry Apple scent mixed with some various flowers over the typical Victoria’s secret veneer.
I do not smell anything like bombshell except that both can be interpreted as masculine due to the “aftershave” like feel. I like this better than bombshell. I don’t know why but I see bombshell as a blonde during the day and I see this scent as a brunette at night. Just dark, deep, rich, intense…….(of course hair color doesn’t have anything to do with a scent but it’s just the visual.) I could totally see eating a late candlelight dinner wearing this with a man.also, this scent is more mature to me but not too mature. This isn’t going to be all over high schools or retirement centers. This is a good sophisticated woman’s scent and does suit a woman who’s middle aged but still wants to smell sultry. Victoria’s secret scents really are amazing. I love them. The only thing that I’m concerned about is the lasting power of the mist. I think this would last longer on clothing or hair. Quite seductive and passing the smell test on all my male friends.

I went to Victoria’s secret today again and I retried the perfume, Night, I have the body mist. The first time I tried it I was not really sure if I liked it. This time around I really loved it. This perfume is very deep and exotic. I think of Arabia or Morocco when I smell it, even thou I have never been there. I really like it and I will definitely be purchasing the perfume and also the bottle is just stunning.

I just ordered this perfume. I have a sample and my guy friend loves it. He said it smells really good. He gave it an 8.5/10 and that is rare for him to rate a perfume that high. It smells really fresh and clean yet musky and sweet. I LOVE the bottle too. That is a bonus.

I got the huge gift set of this at the semi annual sale. It’s such a pretty bottle. The perfume is okay, but definitely not a favorite. I much prefer Seductive Dark Orchid, Heavenly or some of the Bombshell flankers. Just tested out the third in this line(the first being Very Sexy which I don’t like) named Forbidden and it didn’t wow me either. Both Night and Forbidden are okay, but I’d only buy if they are on sale. Silage and longevity does seem slightly better than some Victoria’s Secret perfumes, so that is a plus. I also feel this is a more mature scent than a lot of their normal fruity florals. Maybe that is why I’m not in love with it. I am sort of a gourmand and fruity fragrance lover and even musk and amber. To me this just seems somehow heavy and dark, which could equate to sultry, but for me somehow it misses the mark. Not buyer’s regret, because I got it cheap, but I won’t repurchase.

I fell in Love with this!! It was Love at first whiff!! 😀
I tried it at V/S on my wrist and was instantly smitten!! It whacked me over the head, drug me to it’s cave and made mad passionate love to me!! lol
It is very sexy/seductive and totally a night/evening scent.
It gives me a “Nosegasm!” 😛
    Update:
I Just spent New Year’s Eve with my niece and when we met up at the Venue, she gave me a great big hug and I was wearing this and she was like “OMG I Love that scent, what is it?!” First thing she said after she said “Love You” of course!! 🙂 I told her what it was and she was like “Wow, it smells soooo good!!!” 🙂

Very feminine, boudoir fragrance, suitable for night, but not overpowering or heavy. Powdery heart notes are blended very well with the woodsy ones. The result is fragrance with harmony, tempting, sexy but quite subtle.
    Musky base note – great!

  53. :

    3 out of 5

I’ll tell you exactly what happened here. Black orchid (with oud) was not selling well (if at all) so they remarketed the old by mixing this oud concoction with a bitg more florals and fruit and yet the cheap oud that was used in the old shines right through this new version. I’ve tried adding non oud perfumes to my oud perfumes and I can say that note is very difficult to tame. And on that matter I don’t even hate oud, but the oud v.s. uses has to be the cheapest on the market.
I find this ambergris a yucky mess of a mix with the overused fruit florals and recycled oud :/
This is a big thumbs down for me , I get a very musky, sour, cheap heavy perfumey smell that is not flattering or pleasant in the least

  54. :

I have this scent but in the body mist. It’s not as strong as the perfume (obviously), but it is strong enough. I have tried many VS fragrances and this is my new favourite. It’s sexy but somewhat playful. The longevity on this mist is great! Overall, I’m impressed; it’s a beautiful frangrance.

  55. :

Well I actually like this scent. It’s pretty fruity and bright and nothing to do with Night since it’s not as heavy as one may think. However, it smells quite nice and the bottle is just beautiful. Got this today on black Friday for only 25 dollars!

  56. :

    4 out of 5

This is a heady powdery floral, with a dense woodsy base. I could have liked it if it was not for a citrusy/aquatic sharp note that gave me an instant headache… In fact, I quite agree with the reviews who found this a bit masculine. The name and dark bottle are somewhat misleading, IMO this fragrance doesn’t particularly stands out as a sultry, sexy nighttime kind of scent….I much prefer Sexy Little Thing Noir Tease.

  57. :

    5 out of 5

This fragrance has definitely been misnamed. I don’t find anything “night” about it at all. It actually reminded me of Bombshell-what I mean is that they seem to use the same base for many of their scents with only slight top note variations. This is what is happening here. This doesn’t smell dark or seductive, more like deep fruity scent. …reminds me of Seduction Dark Orchid-another VS scent that is NOT dark and is more fruity than anything else…I hardly even buy anything from VS anymore…its like they put out scents that are so similar to one another and so generic that its amazing..that is just sad. All the creativity seem to go into packaging but you can’t wear packaging
And for the record, I am HUGE fan of VS so this is just a shame that they put out new scent every month, only to be discontinued a month later

  58. :

    4 out of 5

Quite impressed with the longevity of this, not to mention it smells wonderful. For whatever reason this feels to me like a dark version of Bombshell (which I also love). Very mature, yet sultry and sexy.

  59. :

    3 out of 5

A little bit of a brighter take on Seduction Dark Orchid. I do like the woodsy notes and light florals in the dry-down, but I’m not sure it’s distinct enough to purchase, as I’ve already got the other one. I really like the bottle though… going to have to think about it.

I love it. I got the lotion for free with my purchase of the perfume, and I won the candle in this scent as well. The candle smells great and looks beautiful in my bedroom and the perfume itself is very lovely. I would wear this in the day time as well as there is something fresh enough for day. I think it’s a feminine scent, not at all masculine and I also don’t think it’s overly fruity or sugary. There is definitely an aquatic aspect to this without being too salty seaside. Overall I like it very much, love that there is wood and vanilla on the dry down, as it’s different enough to add to my collection and still in line with the types of fresh fragrances I gravitate towards. I enjoy all the varying notes mixed in this. I put on the lotion last night and this morning it still smells nice and can detect the ocean/aquatic note mixed with something floral and seductive. Nothing about this gives me a headache and I just really enjoy it. This is a new favorite among my collection (I have Flowerbomb, Stella, Daisy, and VS Bombshell, if that gives you any idea of why I might like VS Night)

awful…masculine type perfume…too expensive to be promoted for a cute perfume for women…

I got a test vial of this today. I was so excited to smell it – I was hoping for deep, jammy, warm and sexy… Instead I got clean, fruity, daytime appropriate. This is nice, don’t get me wrong, but it is no standout. I don’t get a whole lot of woods, and I really don’t get much musk. I think this was a great concept and I adore the bottle, but it did fall a little bit short of my expectations.

It’s already the 976th fragrance of the year by Victoria’s Secret.
They have even more launches than Givenchy !

well, I have tried this and also got a sample from the store….its a dense heady powdery woody floral…very mature scent…I like it but ..wanna give it a chance to really adapt to my skin and nose..its not so much spicy..more floral and warm but has a cosmetic powder tone….its just a like for now…
