FriendDylan – :
I love this musky gem, I wore it all through the 1990s, and sold Avon perfumes myself too. It is akin to Avon Soft Musk, however this has more of a citrus boost provided by the ylang ylang which gives it an extra sexiness and puts the ‘night’ into the bottle.
Sadly it has been discontinued for years and one must search ebay to find leftover bottles at a price much higher than it was originally sold for.
The signature bottle was tall with dark blue glass, and golden lettering on a slant. The packaging had shades of blue reflecting the night time with stars scattered across it.
It used to be available in a range of bottle sizes, as talcum powder, a deodorant body spray, and as a roll on deodorant. If you can’t get hold of it the closest you can find is the still produced sister Soft Musk.

What a lovely fragrance for back then. This was around in early 1994 and I was 15 and it smelled like heaven. Sweet and sensual perfume. Musk amber and White flowers probably.

This was originally called nightfall in the UK *see my other review of nightfall)
I wore this for many years…even on my wedding day
It’s gorgeous
Im baffled that avon have so many soft musk flankers now but haven’t brought this one back!?
It’s beautiful
I’ve managed to get a couple of bottles on eBay but will be bereft when they’re gone 🙁
Please bring this back avon!!!!

It’s strange we don’t have any reviews for this gem. Basically I’m reviewing a bottle which dates back to 2006, and not the bottle shown above, briefly released in a tall, slim bottle along with other classics such as Odyssey.
As suggested by the name, Night Musk is a night version of the well-known Soft Musk. The two scents are alike in tone, Night Musk is only heavier and richer with a sandalwood and amber base.
Night Musk smells like whiskey to my nose, and it’s rather a womanly scent unlike the innocent Soft Musk.
In short, a very Avonesque musk, but in a good way since they don’t do it like this nowadays.
