Oh, how I love this!! Sparkly, clean, and uplifting. I get a lot of ginger, orange, peony, and cedar at first. Lovely! Then I detect nuances of lily, freesia and soothing musk which bind the energetic notes for an overall comforting experience. A hint of amber makes an appearance, injecting just enough warmth to knock this formula into the realm of awe and beauty. I discovered this works as a great stress reliever and has good longevity to sustain this effect. Wonderful in summer. Can’t wait to see how this works in colder weather. I not only have come to love this but NEED this in my collection. Very unique. Pure love!

This opens citrus-tangerine and floral peony then goes very rosy on me. It’s very clean and sparkling especially up top, and maintains this uplifting quality. It leaves a prominent scent trail of girly rose and peony, without being cloying. However, there’s something in this that is so strong, maybe musks, that makes me a little bit nauseous if I wear it too close to my neck. The drydown is powerful, expensive hair product. Madison Soiree is a more sophisticated version of this uplifting floral idea with (IMHO) a better drydown.

This is more of a masculine scent than I usually go for, but I like this. It is a little soapy but not in an unpleasant way. It’s kind of clean and spicy at the same time. I think this would be a great summer scent.

I love this perfume. It’s like Spring in a bottle. Feminine and floral, it’s fine for all ages, young and older. Peony is prominent to me. It’s very fresh, sparkling and happy. Pink! Very pink. Every time I wear it, I get compliments. Long lasting, great sillage, very pure ingredients. One of my favorite Bond No. 9 scents, it’s my go to fragrance for every day wear.

Well, I gave it a chance and I still don’t like it. I wanted to wash it off 5 minutes after I applied it. I think you’d have to be in love with ginger and cardamom to get anything out of this.
The opening has a sour, almost astringent sort of “zing” that doesn’t complement the florals at all. When the basil shows up, it doesn’t help either – it feels intrusive, like it was just randomly thrown in there.
After a few days, when my nose got accustomed to it, I smelled the light, grassy “Picnic in the Park” floral described below, but I wouldn’t ever wear it again – it’s boring both ways.

I just started wearing this one, and I really don’t like it. It’s just a boring, annoying little scent, totally un-sexy. I’ll try to stick it out for my usual 5-day trial to see if it grows on me.

Opened with almost masculine burst of ginger, bergamot and the huge chaos called “fruity notes”. When it settles a little bit it starts to get soapy, but the cardamon keeps everything under control and the perfume starts to smell better, starts to develope some class and so.
What do I dislike about the opening? It reminds me a bit of shaving foam, because of the ginger, citruses and whatever makes everything so masculine here.
At the heart cardamon goes on and it starts to get smoky. The first flower which welcomes me is peony. There is still the aftershave foam feel to it, but it get’s better.
Its actually enjoyable. Very cold, refreshing. It’s veru citrusy, so would be suited well for the summer.

Bond no 9 NEW YORK FLING opens with a pleasing melange of ginger and citrus, along with a light touch of cardamom. This is a refreshing yet not bracing combination which should appeal to men and women alike.
To my nose, the development trajectory moves next straight to the drydown, a slightly woody, lightly floral, brownish-green grassiness. The flowers are more garnishes than a focus, in NEW YORK FLING, which reminds me a bit of some high quality vetiver frags.
I think that from the name I was expecting something loud and flamboyant, but given its understated demeanor, perhaps a better name would be NEW YORK SPRING PICNIC IN THE PARK. Recommended for (and tested in) hot weather!

This is a citrus, ginger delight from the beginning that drys down and develops beautifully with floral, basil and a nice cedar note. The name, New York Fling, is perfect for this perfume. I’m testing 39 bon bon samples and this is a really good one.

It is a wonderful spring or summer scent. It make me feel so clean. The white flowers in the fragrance are just so natural. It begins like a unisex fragrance (maybe because of the ginger and cardamon), but in a short it becomes so feminine, I like the soapiness: it is a different one! The fragrance make me feel really feminine, innocent and in a mood for sunbath! I love it and I`m sad that I have a 50 ml bottle, the fragrance is so expensive in Europe!

Finally New York Fling is here in the database so I can review!
When I first tried this I tried to conjure the New York night-life image as the name suggests, but no. This fragrance feels like spring!
At first the top notes are very strongly of citrus and ginger. Sparkly and bright. But after a short while it’s personality changes completely. Imagine an early spring day when the leaves and grass are the beautiful light, bright green of new growth, cherry blossoms cover the trees, there’s a soft warm breeze, and you are eager to shed the dark colors and scents of the past winter. You choose a light floral dress and this fragrance!
It is a beautiful feminine floral that dances so lightly. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or a casual afternoon with family. Never heady or cloying, just perfect!
