Light and weird with sweet metallic dry down. Performance is so so, too.
Dissapointment.

smells like sitting in a cafe near the ocean while sipping lemonade.. breezy, fresh and peaceful and the illusion of unlimited space and potential.
despite all the ‘funny’ notes (metallic, mineral, hedione, ozonic and aldehydes) I found it a surprisingly wearable scent despite how unusual it is.
After an hour it warms slightly and becomes slightly sweeter and less abstract.
Totally unisex and deliciously complex.

I have a sample of this, and you know what this fragrance reminds me of? An AVON catalog. Yes, when you smell this fragrance on you is like flipping the pages of a new AVON catalog. I am not saying it’s particularly awesome smell; it smells… like that. Kinda odd.

I got a sample of Veil from an inventory sale order. I was already intrigued by the notes but then I sprayed it on I was like OH WOW WHAT’s THIS maybe in the best possible way. Semi-fresh in a very weird way, and it is a compliment. For me it smells like an even better version of Nebula 2, which I like but not love. This one is equally otherworldly but IMO better with the mixture of floral/lavender notes.

I am in love with this house, so when the opportunity to pre-order Nebula 3 Veil arose, I jumped on it. Well, it arrived half an hour ago and, after taking the usual “reveal” pics, I finally braved one spritz.
I have never experienced **anything** like this from Oliver & Co, and I’ve sampled them all, plus I have four full sizes in my wardrobe (now five), and two Nebula travelers. The fresh hit was both stunning, uplifting, and expansive. I attribute this to the ozonic, metallic, and mineral notes boosted by a rocket fueled ginger root, all of it amid the dominate but transitory Hedione. If this is what goes on in a vacuum, I want to move in please.
The next stages are even more astounding, as botanicals emerge through this vividly eccentric solar storm of atmospheric chaos to take root and settle the composition into hints of L I F E… lavender and lemon to maintain the zing, the cooling purple-blue spectrum embrace of iris and violets, and the breath of ancient amber and clearwood (a finer paler form of patchouli). And while it’s not listed as a prominent feature, little unassuming chamomile quietly persuades the exuberant Mach Five ascendants to a more sedate albeit still fast-paced Mach Three. After all, this little pineapply herb-flower sets in deep roots and toughs out the harshest elements on any given roadside… or **road**!
After an hour it all reaches a level of accord, but does not lose any of its complex identity. The sillage fluctuates from an opening barrage to quiet but deceptive explosions.
Is it for everyone? Iiiiiiiii donthinkso… but it’s a wild universe out there. Who knows?
I may return to add more impressions, but if not, suffice to say I can already tell that a back-up is going to be required.
And by the way, the artwork is completely representative of the fragrance.
