Description

Sweet osmantus blossom served as irresistible inspiration for the new fresh and luminous fragrance by the house of Yves Rocher announced as limited edition for 2015. The fragrance will be launched in March 2015 and it will announce the spring of 2015 the right way thanks to its floral composition. The creation Naturelle Osmanthus is signed by perfumer of the house of Givaudan, Michel Girard.

Top notes of Naturelle Osmanthus provide the memorable, luminous freshness of lemon which ensures a sunny and exciting lightness to the fragrance. Arabic jasmine extract in the heart accentuates the floral character of the fragrance and with its green and fruity shades it accentuates the femininity of the edition. The key note of the edition is osmanthus blossom which tempts and seduces with irresistible scent reminding us of aromas of sweet apricots, leaving a full, rich, sensual impression. Base notes incorporate essence of cedar, in charge of gentle balmy aromas, which is dry, woody and deep.

Fragrance YVES ROCHER NATURELLE OSMANTHUS is available in a bottle of the same form as Naturelle from 2008, Green Summer from 2009, Aquarelle Vegetales Eau Fruitee from 2010, Jardin de Nymphes from 2011, Retropical from 2013 and Collection d’Ete from 2014 as 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

I really only wanted this because the mini bottle was so cute. I have worn it a couple of times and the consensus seems to be the same from anyone who has smelled it on me and commented.
On my skin it is sort of a combination of OFF bug spray and Citronella. Not in a bad way but it definitely smells like a summer day while camping to me. I probably will only wear it to outdoor events and hey, who knows, it may even keep the bugs away.

Not osmanthus. Not a bit! Very disappointed 🙁

Sharp lemon at first. Later it softens and becomes quite nice. Naturelle is a good name for it.

I obtained a small bottle of this as my Sweet Olive (Osmanthus fragrans) tree is blooming now, and I would so love to find a fragrance like the intoxicating blooms of that tree. This fragrance was too sickly sweet for my tastes and smells absolutely nothing like the Osmanthus flowers, and so my quest continues.
Edited to add: had to wash this fragrance off; headache inducing for me.

Bright-bright-bright. A zesty, effervescent citrus punch adorned by flowers. Feels very youthful and of the moment, and nice for when you want to feel very fresh and clean (in a lemony way, not a laundry way) but with a feminine edge. This perfume is 85% zingy top notes that take a while to fade away.
The middle: very pretty, but rather nondescript clean body wash-like floral.
This is perfectly pleasant but there’s not enough osmanthus for me. I bought the mini but don’t think I’ll spring for the full bottle. If you’re a citrus lover, though, try this.

Incredibly long lasting and in a lovely way. Stlyish kinda freshness. Just what I was looking for. And this for a reasonable price. A gem to me.

I love this perfume for the days when I volunteer at a sweaty, dirty place that makes me feel very un-fresh very fast. This perfume projects a sweet, clean, fruity scent that reminds me exactly of Fa Exotic Garden Spray Deodorant, the one in the orange can for those of familiar with this European brand. It’s a sweet, juvenile citrus-fruity scent that just makes me happy.

Although I’d be happier with more citrusses in this perfume, I still love it – it’s a deep, rich and long-lasting scent in this “plant” category, the woody notes are baeautiful – I sometimes use my mom’s bottle;P

Oh, wow, what an enticing scent. Lemon and osmanthus upfront, it’s bright, juicy, happy and feminine.
Unlike Guerlain Allegories, Yves Rocher Naturelle Osmanthus delivers more than it promises. It’s a beautiful perfume, fruity yet delicate.
It’s spring and summer in a bottle.
    Fantastic.

Pretty, fresh and cheerful, so I gave it to someone who needed cheering up. It is exactly what it says notewise but it fades quite quickly on me. I used it a little for work. I almost kept it for the bottle alone, which really appeals for some reason, I love the colour fade from mint to peach and the copper top was nice. The green foliage on the box was the wrong shade and clashed with the background though.

Bought it for the bottle when YR finally gave a generous discount for it. Gorgeous. The negative comments on the too citrusy opening didn’t apply for me. I found it refreshing and feminine, the middle notes were mainly jasmine, I didn’t get cedar or masculine notes. Nothing outstanding but pleasant for hot weather.

    Zesty version of Eclat d’Arpege.
Lanvin one is more floral. This is more fruity. Both have Osmanthus note and it is very light and fresh everyday scent.

I am so happy I discovered this beauty in the middle of August. It’s the perfect spring and summer perfume. I love these simple compositions, which only consist of few notes. It’s a very natural smelling perfume and I like the fact that the lemon note is subtle, since I dislike strong citrusy fragrances. I can smell osmanthus, lemon and cedar, the jasmine is not prominent on my skin. Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 3-4 hours. The scent is very fresh, sunny and happy, it smells like you’ve just walked out of the shower. I can see myself wearing this on a daily basis – it’s perfect for the office, long strolls in the park, lazy day by the beach, romantic date or a night out with friends. And last, but not least, the bottle is gorgeous.

I bought this hoping I’d love it, but it’s too citrusy aon me, and on top of that reminds me of a hard time I had recently, so it went to my mother.

i really love osmanthus so i bought a mini bottle in hopes that this’d be a good one. right off it’s a very strong lemon scent with hints of florals and the underlying cedar adding a fresh masculine tone to the scent. i smell osmanthus off and on after it’s been on my skin for a few minutes but the citrus and cedar definitely take center stage on me. i really was hoping for more osmanthus, but this scent gives me a headache. i find it leaning more towards a traditionally masculine fresh scent with a hint of florals to keep it more unisex. oh well, the osmanthus search continues!

On the box it says “jasmine sambac” not ” Arabic Jasmine” .
I purchased it for the lifting effect it gave me when I tested it in the shop. On skin, it revealed the Cedar note after 10 mnts, that note gave it a masculine/barber shop effect, which is calming to me, remind me of my grandpa.

Well, as a floral & aquatic scents lover, I bought this right away after a quick smell at the store. Honestly I just wanted to give it a shot. When I sprayed it on me this morning, it smelled really fresh and noticeable. Unlike my L’Eau par Kenzo, which has a very spicy note at first then comes all the gentle floral things, I felt this much more of a girlish thing for teenagers. I still think it’s suitable for everyone, but the feeling it gave me was not as gorgeous as something that a lady would like to wear. This will be a perfect choice as a sport perfume (though you have to re-apply after 2-3 hours).
A good perfume for a regular sunny day, but nothing special about it 🙁

Where did you guys got to test this one ? Though I am in France, I have searched it in several YR shops, and even on the French site…
    It is nowhere… O_o

If I were not looking for the perfect osmanthus scent, I could review this YR for what it is: a simple fresh floral with a screachy opening just like every YR.
Osmanthus must be a fantasy note these days…
The opening is screachy citrus in all its synthetical glory. Which citrus? Just any. A virtual perfume citrus.
Then comes the floral part but it’s mingled with citrus. They stay together for the rest of the time, which is good in a sense, not a perfume with separate note stages, it’s all blended in, yet individually noticeable.
It’s ok and smells clean floral, but nothing more.
I don’t think this is a good osmanthus scent for people looking for a real flower smell. It’s like taking vanillin for real vanilla bean, but as a generic citrus-floral it smells nice and very wearable, bright and feminine, once the opening screachiness calms down.

Thanks to my swap-friend Marquisa, I have it and I just wear it. We have a warm, sunny day here today,a really middle-June scenery. Well,I feel so nice wearing it,I feel the breeze of flowers-to me smells so apricot-ey-,just a lovely touch of a magic finger of lemon,a light aura of cedar and a great longevity of 6h+ makes it an amazing choice for those days…Is a playfull and vivid perfume, you gonna love it for sure.Bonus the lovely bottle and a nice low price! Can you ask for more? Highly recommented.

I only have a slightly bizarre sample in the form of a “wet napkin” kind of thingy, so I don’t see my review as entirely objective, but from the wafts I am getting as I smudged whatever I could on my wrists, I can only repeat what others say: It’s quite lovely! And Happy! Springy, sunshine-y floral with a citrus aura and a light cedar base. I would say Naturelle Osmanthus seems to be fresh and jolly and wearable indeed!

Fresh and stylish, good for spring. This is a dance of citrus and osmathus, nice combo! Michel Girard knows how to make elegant feminine fragrances!Cedar is fortunately quite weak but plays an important role in cementing the base properly.Only minus comes from a poor staying power.
    Very much wearable.

Knowing the Osmanthus oil very well, it was no surprise that this scent would smell great.
What surprised was HOW lovely it is.
Divine, heavenly, full of sunshine in a spirit lifting way! This is the happiest scent I think I ever smelled. .
I have smelled all the Eau de toilettes in this Naturelle range, and this is by far the best.
It does not affect only my nose, but all of me.
My bottle 75 ml. came as a present from Y.Rocher already before it’s on the market.
    Look forward to that, ladies!

This is a light, fresh floral with a citrus (lime) opening. It’s inoffensive and pleasant. I can kind of see it as a scent for a fabric softener. This is not a bad thing, it just means it’s a scent that will appeal to many people, and won’t offend anyone. Although I would recommend it to floral lovers first and foremost, and to those who like “transparent” modern floral fragrances such as NR for her or Stella McC’s L.i.l.y. The bottle is gorgeous.

I got a mini of it this week. This opens just like the original Naturelle, so much so that I felt a twinge of disappointment. But after about ten minutes the subtle floral scent emerges. To my nose it resembles mock orange blossoms with just the tiniest fruity tinge — and sweet, like a faint residue of canned-peach syrup in the mouth. Then it becomes an elegant and faintly powdery scent. But nonetheless the scent of the original Naturelle never quite goes away, overlaying the sweetness of the flowers (or perhaps the other way around.) It’s the honest, wholesome girl-next-door Naturelle we all know, sitting in the shade of a mock-orange tree in bloom, spring given way to summer, her dress the color of a sorbet. I’m tempted to buy the full bottle, actually, because the packaging is so pretty, but you don’t wear the packaging.
EDIT: I did buy the full bottle after all. Loved the delicate sweet florals and yes, there is enough of a difference from the original Naturelle to make the purchase worthwhile (and replace Naturelle in my wardrobe).

This sounds promising. I dislike the original Naturelle, because is way too citrusy and aquatic for me, but this hopefully will be more interesting and more floral!
