Description

Fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez became celebrated in the world of perfumes with his debut Narciso Rodriguez For Her from 2003. That minimalist name and design, as well as musky sensuality adorn his latest olfactory creation that comes out in September of 2014—feminine fragrance Narciso Eau de Parfum.

“I wanted to create an extremely sexy fragrance that would turn a man’s head,” announces the designer, with the description, “The sensuality becomes a little bit more sexy, a little bit more intoxicating.”

The composition is composed of white gardenia and rose above the warm heart of musk. The base includes woody accords of vetiver and two types of cedar: black and white.

The bottle is simple: square, milky white with the name printed in black letters. The face of the perfume is a model Raquel Zimmermann. The nose behind this fragrance is Aurelien Guichard.

If I could take on of The Narcisos with me on a desert Island, This would be the one. Creamy, smooth, musky and sooooo sexy. Soft, comforting and clean. I totally adore The woodsy notes. On me both silage ans longevity is above average. I can smell it on myself all day long. What a wonderful scent this is. I really love all of Narcisos scents but this one takes the lead. Feminine, beautiful, sexy, classy and fluffy as a cloud. I get lots of comliments on it, and I guess we` ll never grow apart. A truly masterpiece.

What a delightful perfume is Narciso! White roses and gorgeous gardenias right at your face, then a sexy musk wraps the flowers to end with a masculine cedar that balances everything together in a perfectly beautiful melody.
This perfume is elegant and modern but with a wonderful classic touch really hard to find nowadays.
You feel like walking in a middle of a garden full of fragrant gardenias and roses right after a spring rain.
    So beautiful so charming!

I agree with CupK, the white cube is more creamy and feminine than the black cube. Both are beautiful, different enough to be part of a collection of lovers of musk, cedar and flowers.
Plus, I truly love a sumptuous, velvety, fluffy and extravagant gardenia!

I am testing this beauty for the second time now and I have to say I love it, I used to have the NRFH edt I liked it but this one was too strong for me even though it was a edt.
This one is in my opinion a bit more mature and complex, dries down creamy and soft musky flowers.

Based on all the love that this fragrance gets, I decided to sample it. The top notes remind me of 80s perfumes, high quality florals. But then the musk kicks in, and I was reminded again that I am far from anosmic to musks: it is like the fragrance explodes in my nose. Even a tiny spray is way, way too much, very heavy and sticky and overwhelming. Lesson learned, if you’re sensitive to musks, thread carefully. Other than that, I understand this is a high quality perfume, it is just not made for me.

This is my “go to” when I either can’t or don’t have time to choose. It suits all occasions for me without being anonymous and it’s musky, woody and floral without being too much of any. Rich and creamy but still very suitable for daytime. I buy mostly niche but I absolutely love this.

This is definitely Unisex perfume, somehow milky and recognizable as Narciso Rodriguez brand.

What a wonderful scent… the smell of innocence !!

Narciso is a bit too much for me. Too woody, too sharp, too masculine on my skin. I tried it at the store on the back of my hand, got home and right away hubby said that I smelled really strong, from 6 feet away. Even after washing it off it was still intense, so I wouldn’t say it’s office friendly. The dry down of what was left was lovely tough. Although I will stick to my beloved Poudrée and Rouge, I understand the love for this one, it’s definitely a quality juice, very sophisticated, for a strong woman. Or a man. This is unisex in my opinion.

Gardenia explodes across the top. It’s quite strong for a moment. If that scares you, just hold on for the dry down: musk, cedar, and a bit of vetiver in the undercurrent (not much rose here, and is quite elusive, IMO). Sillage is moderate; longevity is all day. I enjoy it in all types of weather. This is my favorite Narciso, by far!
Due to the dry down (cedar + vetiver + last remains of musk), on the right man, this would be sexy…as long as it didn’t announce itself before a close encounter.

Pretty, creamy, embracing and simultaneously airy white flowers and musk. Classic and contemporary and very beautiful. Yet another perfectly balanced fragrance from this house. A cozy gardenia blended to perfection with woods and a warm musk.
Compared to the other two Narciso I tried (the Poudree and the Red ones): airier and more transparent. Still creamy and embracing, but with a hint of sparkle. More understated and less sweet, and possibly lasting a bit less (lasted around 6h, though I can still smell hints of it later if I sniff harder). Like all the others: a classic theme, which has been done a million times before, but beautifully done. Like a simple piece of clothing with a normal colour and design, but which has been made by an experienced tailor, it melds just right to my body.
I am in love with this perfume line.

Cozy, creamy and close. Its like what you want to wear with a white sweater while reading a book. Then your man starts nuzzling you and ….
4 hour longevity on my skin with a close projection.
Non-offensive can work an office setting too.

In a time when there’s so much mismatch between designer houses’ aesthetic credos and their representation in fragrances, got to give kudos to Narciso Rodriguez who, thus far, has demonstrated unfaltering coherence in the translation of his artistic outlook into his perfumes. Narciso, the fragrance, is archetypically Narciso Rodriguez: clean but not vacant, streamlined yet femenine, pearl and/or matte perfectly cutted without any bells or whistles, a glamour that is not undone by minimalism.
When first sprayed, my nose is swayed by a lifting, bituminous, concrete gardenia. I perfectly get what people very accurately described here as a marshmallow white flower. It smells like a gardenia-infused fluffernutter that fell on wet asphalt. Also, to complete the imagery: washed greys, bone-lace beiges halter tops with pencil skirts in instagram filters, woody and glass paned scandinavian interior designs, the smell of Jergen’s body lotion mixed with the smell of Hershey milk chocolate bar wraps, liquid matte lipsticks and milky suntan lotion on a not so recently washed skin. It grows woodier and drier with time, and more synthetic to my nose, but none the worse. It really does smell g o o d.
In my love for vintages , after consequently smelling them week-round, I get vintage fatigue and my epochs get blurred. One of the ways I have to anchor myself again to modern sensitivities is smelling Narciso, and voila, I remember a little thing called internet, social media, avocado toast, reboots, and the year I’m in. And Narciso makes that smell all the better.

I have read some quite amusing descriptions of this scent’s many faces, here and elsewhere. Some favorites, all of which strike from time to time: plastic doll, marshmallow fluff smeared on a wooden plank, humid hair with baby powder in it. As inelegant as those descriptors may sound, I find this perfume to be exquisite.
This is my first NR scent, discovered in a rollerball at Ulta. At first, I thought I was smelling NR For Her, which has been recommended to me, but upon more careful inspection, I realized it was plain, glorious Narciso. For a week, I couldn’t get it out of my mind, so I placed an order and got my stunning white cube in the mail today.
Top notes are a bit sharp and overwhelming, I admit. They have that curious warm/cool mentholated effect that smells comfortingly medicinal.
This dissipates quite quickly, though, as the woody, creamy, powdery notes come to the fore. I get mostly gardenia, rose, cedar, and a sort of yummy vanilla/creme brulee note in the dry-down. Interesting synthetic over-tones that smell like plastic doll heads.
One thing I have been struggling to describe is the musky smell of heat which smells both like my hair-dryer right after I turn it off, and also like pressing my face into my cat’s fur — a clean, warm fur scent/hair scent that is so demure and intoxicating. So very interesting — I love it!

Having always been a lover of all things musk, I was very late to this party having discovered this gem only recently. To me this scent is cool and sharp, elegantly understated and somewhat serious, I love wearing it around the house as my comfort scent, though.

❀ Narciso is a heavenly creamy, almost lactonic perfume.
The minimal milky white bottle does justice to the scent.
Its velvet musk melts on the skin. The touch of flowers balances the masculine woody base. Very enticing, warm & comforting.
    It layers beautifully…
A snuggly cashmere blanket indeed ❤

Should be called “Narciso Rodriguez The One”. This may be the only one you will need. All NR fragrance have the same DNA , only some “jump out” more than others and some “stick around” longer than others.
Yes, this square white bottle NR may smell “familiar” but the quality and longevity make this a “go-to” ( day/night, happy/sad, summer/winter, etc.)
Very pretty and I am delirious that I just scored a cap-less FULL 3.4 oz tester for about $40.00 !
SAFE BLIND BUY but you have to like rose, gardenia & musk.
    Office safe, but never boring!

Tried this on while at Bloomingdales today. It smelled familiar once it dries down and I tried to place where I might have smelled it before. Then I remembered, it reminds me of Eden by Cacharel.
They both have a plasticky, synthetic vibe going on especially in regards to the white florals. There’s also a note that feels doughy to me, which I think is the cedar. Then the musk, a humid musk. The big difference is that there is no greenery here. Both fragrances share a feeling of humidity.
I’m enjoying the dry down, which is musky and woody. It lies close to my skin. Would make a good day fragrance, good for the office, or wherever you work.

Forgot I had sprayed Narciso on my folded sweater, zipped up the luggage and the next day my co-worker said, “What smells so good? It’s lovely.”
She said there was an aroma of fresh flowers and she loved it. A few minutes later I remembered spraying the Narciso on the sweater I was wearing.
I love Narciso, can not describe it at all other than saying outdoors, fresh flowers, a cool breeze and some sunshine. Always pleasant.

I first encountered Narciso when an acquaintance entered the room I was sitting in, preceded by a massive cloud of cedar wood. It smelled delightful, even if it was slightly overwhelming, so I gave her a compliment. “It is Narciso,” she declared, “the one in the white cube.”
It is only now that I have had the chance to really test Narciso on my own skin. Unfortunately, Narciso is not at all my cup of tea. The initial gardenia and musk turned absolutely suffocating on my skin. The following shot of musky cedar was too much for me, and I actually had to go scrub it off. Well, TRY to scrub it off. Narciso has immense sillage and longevity, which is great for those of you lucky enough to have the right chemistry. I can enjoy this scent on others, but on my own skin it leaves me breathless for all the wrong reasons.

I love(d) this and got it at the moment of its release, however, and please do give me some credence, this has a tendency to smell of chips in newspaper.
It’s beautiful. It’s not “masculine” to my nose, though others seem able to sense a strong masculinity in it – according to the reviews posted here, but I think you’re all mad.
Well, it’s your turn to think that I’m the mad one.
Smells of chips in newspaper wrap in the eighties.
Let it develop and smell the air. Picture yourself at Brighton pier with a paper bag full of chips. Fish optional. This is what it smells like. This realization has killed this scent for me many times. I still love it, but the moment I smell those chips I just think to myself that I don’t want to potentially be seen as the one who just ate chips.
Today I am lucky and I don’t smell the chips. Yet.
But I know they’re there. Lurking.

Narciso Eau de Parfum continues the tradition of Narciso Rodriguez’s beloved white musk, but this time, contrary to the For Her and Essence lines, the musk in Narciso takes the back seat.
The notes in Narciso seem to be consciously kept undefined and non-realistic. The opening is a dewy, refreshing, even sharp floral that reads more like watery magnolia than gardenia to me, but as a milky, even nutty undertone develops over time, the abstract floral accord gradually shifts towards the direction of gardenia.
Because of its overall nebulous nature, Narciso evolves in an incremental way: the floral sweetness is little by little taken over by an opaque woody amber, further underlined by the prune-like tart-sweetness of rose. While I can understand the aesthetic of deliberately maintaining an artificial, non-natural feeling in a composition and appreciate it in a few innovative fragrances, unfortunately in Narciso, the sharp synthetic cedar, the densely opaque amber, the creamy white musk, and the nebulous sweet floral, all together create an combined effect of plastic doll out of laundry, a smell and an image that I don’t particularly enjoy.
The late dry down sees the woody amber fading away, allowing the signature clean patchouli and white musk combination of the For Her series to surface and to stay until it completely disappears after about 10 hours. The sillage is mostly moderate throughout.
Being a fan of the previous For Her and Essence lines, I had high hope for Narciso. But in the end, the Egyptian musk that I find utterly memorable in For Her plays only a minimal role, and the amorphous and intentional artificial interpretation of floral and woody amber, while interesting on paper, eventually rub me the wrong way in execution. Suffice to say that Narciso is not my cup of tea. But I can understand how its opaque, nebulous nature can be seen as a mysterious, enveloping aura. If you enjoy modern clean abstract fragrances in general and are looking for a warm floral ambery musk, you may want to give Narciso a try.

My favorite one out of this line, believe it or not, is actually the EDT For Her (in the TALL Black bottle), and then the EDP For Her Fleur Musc, the EDP Poudree, and this one the last. They are all GREAT but have slightly different “peaks” and “potential suits” for my interests, depends on different occasions or moods.
They all share the similar DNA genes. But the EDT has a fresh orange blossom and warmer amber in it. The Fleur Musc has beautiful floral rose scent. The Poudree shows more of “powdery” effect. And this one offers a “milky”/”creamy” vibe from gardenia (just like the color of the bottle).
I layered the EDT For Her (I call it the Black) with this one (White) to “intensify” the warmth and depth of the combination and I found it was quite exciting and intriguing. I combined Poudree with Fleur Musc for more romantic and sensual effect. I just LOVE and enjoy Narciso Rodriguez fragrances so much! The whole line offers powerful longevity and great sillage to my satisfaction.

I am a guy and I love this!
I am a gardenia lover as well. Not much more to say but I do wish there was a more “intense” version of this as I have fragrance “eating” skin.
If you like ; white florals, very assertive “lady boss” fragrances and very strong “cosmetic counter” scents…… this is a dream Blind Buy” !!
Please never reformulate OR discontinue this !

One humid night, me and the guys were hangout together (boys night out), when a friend (straight guy) asked me…
He: what perfume are you wearing?
    Me: why?
He: it’s so arousing, makes me wanna eat you!
    …and I’m done!

Fresh paint, salty gardenia with a hint of rose’s green sourness, followed by a powdery clean baby-sweet musk. I really enjoy this modern understated scent. It’s difficult to pin down but I do detect a noticeable gardenia and a rosiness which never commits to being a full-on Rose. There is a saltiness indicative of gardenia in perfumes, but Narciso becomes so much more than a pretty white floral. It gives me a somber sensation. Not a perfume of joy, but of stillness and reserved strength.
The shimmering kaleidoscopic woody musk takes this perfume to another dimension. It’s one of those that likely smells substantially different on everyone. Probably best for transitional seasons but I’ll re-test in the heat to confirm. I was lamenting the absence of a truly modern abstract gardenia fragrance in my collection and now I’m all set.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

This opens with a surprisingly sweet rosy, floral burst that lingers. I really cannot detect gardenia as I am used to smelling it. It’s just another floral present vaguely, like the meek attendant to a grand lady who avoids eye contact and doesn’t speak unless spoken to. Shortly after being introduced to the Grand Lady Rose with attendant in tow, a clean musk comes in and turns down the pomp/lowers the volume. If cedar is present, it must come in at this point and — again — just vaguely. Narciso is sweet, but not sugary, close to the skin and personal, like you smell good effortlessly. I believe this is the kind of fragrance where its mastery is exhibited in its subtlety.

  32. :

I have just opened 6th bottle of this delicious and intoxicating scent. It is my signature. After all those years of wearing it, I can honestly say, it smells like me. This perfume is like oxymoron. On one side it is creamy, dreamy and angelic, on the other sensual and slightly erotic. It smells so sweet and feminine, but it’s base is strictly created of men’s ingrediences like cedar and vetiver. It is never boring and linear. It is a shape-shifter. The white colour is precise, because the white colour consists of all other colours. Just like Narciso smells of all the beautiful smells.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

Fascinating scent! I almost didn’t like it initially – very sharp and cedar opening. As Narciso dries on the skin, I get the herbaceous vetiver, and a little rose. As the dry down starts in – after about 45-60 minutes – a dry gardenia shows up. It’s not sweet and mushroomy – it’s dry and creamy. The musk is also dry – sort of a non-sweet vanilla when combined with the gardenia.
Narciso’s whole effect is warm, sexy, and well-blended so that none of the notes really stand out. It is a bit dirty, but clean in its dryness. It could probably be worn in any season, though as it is cold here now, I can only attest to it being perfect for cold. I have a feeling that it will open up more in warmer weather – it seems like with warmth, the gardenia might assert itself a bit more. We shall see!
I bought a rollerball of it after wearing for just 15 minutes, so I was really struck by Narciso’s beauty. This is rare for me – I usually have to drain a few samples in order to purchase.
Also of note: there are some similarities to Bottega Veneta EDP.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I finally obtained a sample of this.
This is actually really nice to wear!
    It has no sweetness whatsoever.
The cedar is very apperent the first few minutes and then it turns into a very wearable somewhat sharpish musk.
This reminds me of being at a beach where the toilets are sanitized with chloride, and the chloride ever so slightly mingles with the sea air.
These are GOOD memories for me!
I find this to be quite enjoyable and I think this would be quite good to wear even in 40+ degrees!
Very good longevity and sillage /10+ hours.

To call this fragrance ‘interesting’ is an understatent. It’s definitely unlike anything you’ve ever smelled..but not in a good way. I purchased this perfume 4 months ago and regret it. I’d heard so much about it. I wanted to like it so bad but it didn’t work out for me. I don’t like it. It gives me headaches. The silage is overpowering and makes me nauseous because it’s so strong. The fragrance lasts days on your clothes, I couldn’t take it. Now I’m stuck with a brand new large bottle of Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez that I paid over $100 for and will never use it again. Very disappointed to say the least.

One of my most beloved scent this winter 2017-18, I really adore it, but I am afraid I am turning allergic against it. I am only using two small sparys now, for being able to wear it.
Perfect for cold weather, has an obvious Narciso Rodriguez-identity and is very elegant!

  37. :

    5 out of 5

Narciso is an interesting fragrance: sweet, creamy, musky/floral. I don’t like it when it’s just sprayed on my skin, at the beginning it’s woody and I like it after a few mins when all it’s sweetness shows up and it become very feminine and and sweet.
It is a kind of particular fragrance very elegant and chic, I like it a lot and I suggest to sniff it if you like particular and strong perfumes.

  38. :

I tried to like this, but found it impossible. For two reasons: black and white cedar! Also, I would have liked to smell the gardenia a little bit more. Projection is great, but the opening is a little bit too harsh for my liking, and a touch too masculine.

To me this is the smell of Andersen Snow Queen, the smell of a snow flake. It makes me dream…

  40. :

    3 out of 5

    Snow White´s signature perfume.
Narciso is like an ice cube hiding imprisoned heart. That heart is still beating & alive, but everything else around is white and pale – white gardenia petals, white roses, white musk, white cedar.
That fragrance is like a feather in the wind, like a soap bubble sailing in the air /and denying gravitation/. Everything is pure & calm. Put simply, Narciso is an inconspicuous gem.

  41. :

I do find this perfume very pretty. Clean, creamy, interesting……
But darn it, after reading the review someone wrote about it smelling exactly like a gardenia on wet asphalt, I can’t help but smell that whenever I wear it.
That said, I really do enjoy this.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

This is a fragrance that I have grown to appreciate. When I first bought it (blind) a few years ago I was very disappointed in how it smelled. So it sat in my fragrance trunk practically unused.I don’t know what my expectations were (or rather, I don’t remember), but I didn’t expect this. At the time, I wasn’t really into musk fragrances. But oh how I have grown…
Now that I’ve been testing fragrance after fragrance I can truly appreciate these notes. I’ve grown to really, REALLY love cedar-based perfumes (the coveted and discontinued Dolce&Gabbana By is one). This note is probably why some people think they smell mothballs…but that’s just an association! Cedar is an unexpected twist in a floral perfume. Here, it is a wonderment.
These notes: white rose, gardenia, musk, cedar, white cedar, and vetiver are just a stand-out goodness combination. What you get is a sexy, slightly earthy spicy, soft floral musk. It’s almost powdery. Really, this is beautiful, but you have to be into musk, or at least ready to give it a try. And you have to be open to some new basenotes to expand your scent palate. Total winner!

What is it in these modern fragrances that hate my skin? All I get is mothballs, wah!

  44. :

This is so nice! I think i like it even more than i like Eau Poudrée. This one is a soft, light powdery musk combined with a creamy, sweet gardenia with a subtle woody background. It is intimate and pretty.
It is perfect for winter. It makes me think of a white fur stole.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

Another gem from Narciso Rodriguez!! I own this one and the black cube bottle and baby pink “poudree” this one and the black edt can be worn by both genders
This one is so creamy, and the gardenia note is so obvious, it’s a clean perfume and capable to change my mood!! The edt the black bottle is almost the same but sexier and makes a perfect choice for the Summer, this one is heavier and suits the fall and winter!!

  46. :

I dont know what I was expecting but this is very soapy clean scent, almost like Ivory soap. If you like soapy, you will most likely swoon. I HATE soapy fragrances so I will stay far, far away

Mum accidentally bought this for my Dad. I went around there yesterday and sprayed some on because I ‘love’ it. It’s a weird pleasure – the florals and musk are really delicious, but something in it half smells like urine. So disappointing. I can’t handle it for very long, so a few hours after spraying I’m usually regretting the choice.
That being said, clearly this is long-lasting which is something we love in the fragrance world. It’s just never the ones we want to last that do!

    Two words: Creamy Gardenia!!!!!!!!!!
And I Love it! Bond No. 9: B9 was the door that opened me to Gardenia and I haven’t looked back since. This has gotta be purchased soon!
Not overly feminine, and just smooth, and creamy, sufficiently musky, and soothing. I bought some for my sister for Christmas two years ago. I didn’t know I’d come for it, and want it like I do.

I’m a man, and I like this perfume. It smells like a creamy aftershave. This should have been labelled as a unisex fragrance, since it’s a bit too strong to be a women’s fragrance. And I also think that this perfume has a similar vibe with Cartier declaration d’un soir (and it’s a men’s fragrance). So it’s a YES from me!

  51. :

This is so delicious I ordered the Musc oil to go with this. Out of all the Narciso scents this one is my favorite. The Gardenia in this is so creamy and the musk which is the main reason I buy his scents is perfect! It’s sweet but not too sweet it’s just beautiful if you ask me. I think the Rose, cedars, and vetiver help tie this fragrance together. This lasts on me for hours and heat intensifys it so for me I prefer to wear this in cool weather. This on a cold day is so divine. I feel so girly and feminine when I wear his scents on top of that I think this perfume is just awesome. It smells great, isn’t offensive, and has the best floral combo I’ve ever had the joy of smelling. Love this!

This reminds me so much of the tuberose of Cacharel Lou Lou. The cedar and musk in Narciso have a similar effect to the incense in Lou Lou. It has the same dreamy, powdery gardenia feel as Lou Lou. Anyone else think so?

  53. :

Creamy is the first word that come to mind upon smelling this. Smells really heavy and thick upon application but it mellows out to a soft powdery scent later. A really sexy and intimate scent…brings to mind clean warm skin dusted with talc powder. Mr. Narciso really knows how to make a woman smell sexy.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

Starts off sharp but then quickly smooths out. It has a soft, powdery, creamy smell, very warm and makes you want to nuzzle. To my nose, it smells like clean warm skin and a bit of powder. Imagine a woman has come fresh out of the shower, applied her body lotion (nothing strong or obvious, just softly scented) she then puts on her makeup, and powders her face. The combined scent of clean skin(white musk) with a creamy almost milky scent(Gardenia?) and powder. Very sensual, very beautiful. I must have a bottle of this!

Musky, spicy, a bit powdery and just heavenly. I love this fragrance. Its so perfect for fall and winter. For me it reminds me of a snuggly warm blanket. We all know that perfect feeling when its cold out and we are inside relaxing on the sofa with the softest blanket wrapped around you. You feel warm and snug and happy. THIS perfume is that blanket.

I love perfumes with musk and floral with woody notes and this one is just that. Long lasting with good projection. The dry down is more beautiful than the first spray. It’s different than the usual floral perfumes.

This is a lovely musk fragrance that sits close to the skin, albeit not the largest longevity. A nice day fragrance on sensitive noses.

    Musk heaven!
I absolutely love NRFR EDT and knew I had to try another fragrance from this designer. This stuff is fantastic! Creamy gardenia, clean musk, and toasted woods equal perfection. Narciso Rodriguez creates some of the most sophisticated and feminine fragrances today. This is sure to be a classic.

Rubber and marshmallows for the first 45 minutes or so. Strange and somewhat industrial to my nose. Musk is one of those notes that really has to blend with my skin before it comes into being and after I wait out the weirdness it coalesces into the intoxicatingly magical “Narciso Musk Experience.” This one isn’t my favorite, but I have yet to try one that I don’t like; and they all have at least a bit of “wrist crack” for me. I don’t particularly sense any aromas beyond the musk. It’s blended and shaded by the other notes, but they are all absolutely in service to the dominance of the musk. This is the most purely dominant musk so far, of the Narciso I have tried. It is lovely in a small cloud around me for hours, can even still catch whiffs after waking up if I apply it in the afternoon or evening. But ultimately this is not “my” Narciso.

I’m not a huge fan of musk and I can’t wear the NR for her line in the tall bottles. This is mainly a musk perfume, but I love this. I have it since Christmas 2015 and sometimes forget how beautiful it really is. Now I tested the Poudree version in store a few times in the last weeks and found it so nice that I remembered why I needed to have the white cube two years ago, and now I’m in love with that one again and wear it for the third day in a row.
Narciso EDP starts with toasty woody notes on top of the musk and gardenia. The opening is rather unisex and non-sweet, but as it dries down, the scent becomes sweeter and more feminine, though not extremely so. It’s just very very creamy, clean and also warm at the same time with just a hint of powder. This musk never smells soapy, sharp, sweaty or cheap. The rose gives a hint of feminine floral freshness, but this is not a rosy fragrance. The white opaque bottle matches the scent, if that makes sense to you.
This lasts many hours. In the last hours it becomes very warm and the musk has a sweet, almost vanillic touch on my skin.
Really, this is a must try for anyone looking for the perfect musk fragrance. So beautiful and comforting.

    The first notes are ouch!
But I knew I need to wait. I knew I must be patient with musk.
Then I was rewarded. This could be amazing perfume for summer. Because of cedar it brings me Light Blue to mind. I think I should try them both together.

Lovely, lively, sweet but still fresh and dry, airy. There is some mentholpowder in the top notes, similar to Biagiotti Roma, and I love that! I wish it would linger all the way to the base, but it is replaced by vanilla and something else, something Dior-like and some spice like coumarin.
The heart and base are feminine and soft, yet in a confident, clear and respectful manner (if that makes sense) It reminds me a bit of sweet dune grass in summer breeze. I love it. It can easily be worn to work. I love the Poudré just as much – in a different way. Poudrėe is a more intimate layer, for between the sheets I would say. They make a great pair.

I have difficult realtionship with this one. I like it very much but it is so dominant that sometimes I have the feeling that it’s not me wearing it but Narciso is wearing me. Very strong, very musky. There is sweetness in it – maybe the rose or gardenia – but musk is the main player here, together with cedar and vetiver.
Still, I reach for it often when the temperature goes down, I need it. So I guess it’s love after all.
Extremely long lasting and powerful on my skin.

I like, but don’t love Narcisco. The gardenia at the top makes it a bit sweet for me. I prefer Narcisco for Her except it is weak on me. This one is a bit stronger and if I mix it with a greener smelling perfume like Bvlgari’s Jasmine Noir, the gardenia gets cut down a notch.
I like the Narcisco skin lotion which is silky on the skin and it helps with the sillage and longevity of
