Description

Designer Narciso Rodriguez continued with his minimalistic sensual fragrant creations made famous by his debut Narciso Rodriguez For Her from 2003, with the new edition Narciso Eau de Parfum from 2014. In June 2015, its new version Narciso Eau de Toilette comes out packed in a simple square black bottle.

Narciso Eau de Toilette stays true to the character of the original and maintains the same woody – musky composition. The fragrance differs in intensity of flowers in the top notes that, instead of gardenia and rose, provide peony and Bulgarian rose. The heart retains the original accords of musk, as well as the base, which features two types of cedar and vetiver.

It is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.

I get each and every note from it and all of them play so nicely into one end result. It is more to the sweet side, very musky, rose and peony have their own chat, just like ladies at cafe. Vetiver is the silent lady-friend 😀 until i have not checked the notes, i was sure it has patchouli, but i guess my nose mixed it with vetiver. Long lasting beauty (6-8 hours on a wrist). It is worth at least trying in the nowadays popularity regaining musk area.

Not a different concentration of Narciso eau de parfum but a lovely reinterpretation worth having both perfumes.
This one is a magic and feminine peony wrapped in musk and cedar. Here we are missing the nocturnal gardenia but that makes it perfect for daytime.
It is not a soft fragrance, it will make you being noticed but is so beautifully mixed that I can’t see anyone disliking it.
Narciso Rodriguez really caught all my attention with these perfumes.
In a world saturated by gourmands, Narciso is a pleasant option.

I gave up on it in a swap. Unfortunately, I loved it in the middle of winter, when all I could smell was a wonderful mix of peaches and roses, but I could not wear it for the rest of the year. So sad, because there are very few perfumes from Narciso that I would not buy again …
Is less creamy than the perfume (White cube). Excellent longevity and persistence.

I’m 21, a laid-back gal, and I love this perfume so much. It’s a bed of chic, quality musk with some distinctly ghost-like floral notes hovering in it. It’s more sheer than the parfum, as you might expect. The rose is modern and super sensual (and I’m someone who really dislikes rose), the vetiver gives it a mysterious dry freshness. It’s like white sheets in a cabin in the woods, coolly haunted, extra fashionable. I like the parfum as well– it’s more vibrant, intense, and wetly musky, like the more rebellious and sexually available best friend. However, I think the genius concept behind this fragrance is executed just as well if not better with the toilette. It is most certainly more accessible as a daily wear fragrance for those that like freshness and mystery. Wear this on your white t-shirt and Levi’s + heels days, and the parfum for pure seduction.

Love this wayyyy better than poudree pink version! This is bomb.com and much much sexier and projects! Mm! Love!

Oh this is superb. Soft musk and peony mingled with the rose, white cedar, vetiver…all the notes working sublimely together. Unisex vibes. I find this scent deeply soothing and comforting, ahhh.
Perfumes like this remind me why I test and test. Because when I find a scent that has an emotional kind of effect on me, then it’s worth having sniffed 50 other stinkers to get there. Love, like, dislike? This goes in my “died and gone to heaven” section, and is on my Xmas list.

Oh, this one is darn delicious. It’s a bit plasticky but also a very rosy & floral. Soft white musk in a very NR way. Tangy, sensual and beautiful.

I have been converted & convinced that Narciso Rodriguez is the GOAT (greatest of all time) of musk fragrances. He just gets it right & dammit I work hard, so that I can treat myself with the things that I love. And I LOVE his masterpieces!
At first spray, Narciso edt is slightly sweet dry woodiness… Mmmm must be the florals & cedar combo elegantly dancing on my skin. This fragrance surrounds me with a soft sweet creamy cloud of roses. Feels like a deep red dried rose. Mmmm must be the vetiver blessing me with that dry effect. The drydown is unbelievably beautiful. Musk is here, but way less prominent. This is yet another winner from Narciso.
Longevity: 7+hrs. Just erase edt from your mind because she behaves better than most edps
Sillage: Moderate. This is not an intimate scent until hrs later.
    Regrets: ZERO

All fragrances from the Narciso line (in cubical bottles) turn very powdery on my skin, and the black EDT is no exception. Fortunately it does not have the suffocating sweetness of the Poudree version. I can smell peony and rose, and some musk, and basically that’s it.

Zenais86, you can wear it if you like it. Don’t be put off by the marketing, all fragrances are unisex.
I’m actually surprised by the amount of cedar in this. I don’t have anything else like this so I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first, but when the cedar hit me I really fell for the whole composition. This is so nice to wear and continues to grow on me every time I do. It’s also quite long lasting, takes me all the way through a work day at the office.

This is the “floraliest” Narciso to me; the peony actually slightly edges out the musk in my experience. This was surprising, but the peony note can trigger a migraine for me, so perhaps I’m extra sensitive to it. It doesn’t in this scent, but it still isn’t quite a like (My favorite Narcisos are in the “for her” family, tall bottles). It’s a strong and nice scent; melding with the skin for a soft cloud and lingering in that cozy way that musk does.

One of my most favorite designers..His perfumes are never a disappointment. They are unique, never done before kind, and have incredible longevity on skin. This was no exception..Adore!!

I really like this perfume.. it is for woman? the promoter sprayed it on my harms but i felt it is more for woman ( ineed fragrantica said it is for woman) but the promoter told me that it is unisex. Wow, longevity and performance are so good! i really like it. I can as a youngman wear it? i totally love it! =(

I am shocked at the hate this perfume has received!
I wear this regularly (particularly in evenings and in the winter) and I bought it because it was a more accessible version of the original EDP which I found too overpowering.
Make no mistake, this fragrance is sharp, intense and has a masculine touch.
Having said that, it has a beautiful dry down and you are left bathing in the creamy scents of wood, musk and rose.
One of the most long lasting perfumes I own and evolves a lot from the first spray until bed time. A quiet unfolding and unique smell make this a keeper and a perfume I will buy again and again.

  16. :

I read the reviews and decided to blind buy this. That was a mistake. I am really new to Narciso and his line but I recently bought For Her EDP and OMG! It was love at first sniff! I wear it every day and my students always compliments me.
I think its fall/winter scent but I was still looking for something a little stronger so I bought this and it was sooooo manly on me.
I was so sad, but I will just give it to my dad.
I was really hoping to like this one but on me it just didn’t work 🙁

Call me crazy, but i could swear there was peach on it. The opening was very fruity on me. I am surprised to see there are no fruit notes in the composition.
Anyway, it is a nice perfume, but it didn’t impressed me.
I prefer the one in the white bottle.
This one is sweet, powdery and rosy. A bit boring.
I agree with a reviwer who said this smells a bit like candy floss.
What more can i say? i will pass.

Nausea and headache inducing. Thick and sickly. Think fresh tarmac with candy floss. Just sprayed a sample and want to scrub myself to get rid of the stench.

On me this is a masculine, linear, musky, green woods. I did not get any floral or hints of femininity. I sneeze throughout the duration of wear. Another one for my husband’s medicine cabinet

  20. :

Classier version of SJP Lovely, which I love on others, but a little too sharp/musky on myself.

  21. :

    5 out of 5

I quite enjoy this version of Narciso. It is more unisex with peony and rose, and has a nice musky heart, with vetiver and cedar in the base. A really unique scent, that has a powdery feel to it. I really enjoy it more than the EDP, which has gardenia instead. The bottle is lovely as well.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

THis edition is almost the same of the white edp one, but instead of gardenia they put peony, perfect for the summer, men can wear it, the sillage and longevity is awesome!
For Narciso Rodriguez I don’t care about edp or edt they know how to manage the power of their scents!

This is yet another outstanding perfume NR proposes to the market and I’m now fully convinced that he never misses to offer new, special, never-done-before fragrances. All of his offerings are hits and quite impressive overall.
This perfume is the perfect balance beteween sweet, musky, woody. It always has the characteristic musc base of all the NR but is sweetened with peony and rose notes that make this perfume more juvenile, playful and shiny. It’s very well balanced which makes it perfectly wearable for women of every age and of course the perfect gift. I tested it only yesterday and remained pleasently surprised by it. Even people who are not very fond of musc perfumes should definitely give it a try as I believe this is one of the few NR perfumes where musk isn’t all that prominent but well tempered with sweet notes.

  25. :

Not much different from Poudree and Narciso EDP. It’s still musky but cooler and cleaner than the other two. I’d say it’s closer to the EDP than to Poudree. I do like it, but at the same time I don’t feel like paying for the watered down version of the EDP. Narciso EDT is the way to go if you find the EDP and Poudree too much for hot weather.

I don´t know what´s going on. I never fell for the original black and pink bottles, even though they´re pretty… Then I tried Narciso Narciso edp and liked it a lot. Then I read about this and it sounded wonderful. Got it and I also got Fleur Musc and I am ABSOLUTELY bonkers about both of them! I have written a review on the Fleur Musc as well, but this one… it´s so sensual and comforting and still sparkly and slightly fruity and super sexy and melds SO well with my skin. It´s a soft, but also sharp musky peony-rose- how can this be? It feels like it´s alive on my skin, almost. cedar is still my favourite wood in perfumes even though not always so subtle, but I love that slightly sour and tough woodiness of cedar. The vetiver here is both green and smooth- again, this perfume shows paradoxes and that is what some of my favourite perfumes always do! This one is neither cold not warm, but it´s both smooth and sharp and I love it. So this is what I do: I spray quite a lot of this after showering in the evening (I always shower in the evenings when I work) and then I go to sleep. In the morning I spray the Fleur Musc on top of this one. The result is just more than divine!

Narciso EDT shares many similarities with the original Narciso EDP. They are both sensual musks, however if I were to nit-pick, Narciso EDT is slightly crisper and more clean smelling than the original.
Narciso EDT has quite a seamless composition where every single note blends into one singular aroma. The peony and rose add a delightful, feminine floralcy, whereas the cedar and white musk provide some much needed depth.
I prefer the Narciso range to the Narciso Rodriguez EDT and EDP varieties. I find them to be much more wearable and less polarising. Both Narciso EDT and EDP wear like a subtle skin scent, enticing to those within a close proximity. You could own either of these concentrations and be impressed by both their sillage and longevity as neither of them appear to be better than the other.
I personally prefer Narciso EDP, but my choice has more to do with my preference for the white bottle design than for the scent itself. Essentially what I’m trying to say is that you don’t need to own both as their differences are very minute.
A laundry-fresh musk this fragrance certainly is not, but if slightly animalic, sensual musks are more to your tastes, definitely give this range a try.

First off, I do not find this to be much lighter then the EDP at all. It has the same power/silage. Don’t even think of this as an EDT it’s just a slightly different version of the same scent. The only difference being the floral notes. It is so similar, but the creamy quality that gardenia adds to the EDP isn’t present here. I may actually wear this version more as the gardenia in the EDP can go sharp and soapy on me at times. All the gorgeous musk, ceder and vetiver is still here in the same amounts. The florals take a back seat to the woods in this scent, I find it quite unisex. If you aren’t a fan of musk or woods don’t even touch these lol

What I like about Narciso Rodriguez perfumes is that you know you’re trying something from this brand
When first sprayed I can get a narciso gene but not that it was really similar to it’s white sister.initial stage is all about peony and rose blended with special narciso musk.flowers are fresh and I feel musk is a little less pronounced comparing to EDP version(still a totally musky scent).to my nose rose notes have sometimes a hint of berry-like fruity undertone and it’s the case here in the initial stage.as woody notes kick in florals walk to shadow.I can see the nutty vibe other reviews talking about and I like it when woods appear in such a nice dry, nutty way.as it dries down I can see much more similarities to EDP version.they are very close in the drydown just that there’s no gardenia milkyness in edt.florals are fresh,a little powdery instead of being milky and this makes the overall scent seem crisp, drier, less creamy and less musky.on my skin edt feels more woody and darker
Unlike everyone,I don’t see edt as a softer version or the one for day wear.edp’s creamy brightness makes me consider it day sister comparing to edt but all in all both of them are suitable for both day and night wear IMHO.both of them appear very well-mannered,well balanced, not in your face or heavy on my skin so I see both of them wearable year round.
I don’t have edt yet but I’m definitely going to buy it as soon as I find a good deal.I can’t decide which one I like more,I think it depends on my mood and now I feel I like EDP a little more.EDP is more comforting and calm for me,while edt has an interesting naughty side(maybe because of it’s nutty notes or darker woodyness?!)so my moods will choose right day for each one
By the way it has very good longevity.I’ve not compared this sister’s longevity and sillage, I know that far that both are satisfying

Bold, Bright and Beautiful Musk, in which the balance is struck just right between femininity and masculinity, between airiness and earthiness of floral and woody notes. Strangely, the interplay of Rose and Peony accords in the opening reminds me of L’absolu NR, EDP with its unashamedly sensual Tuberous and Jasmine duet. Only here the flowers are more fresh and abstract, and subdued by the powerful will of the woods.
Cedar is prominent that gives to the whole composition slightly androgynous feel.
I, too, smell the pencil sharpenings along with the smokiness of the vetiver here – very much to my liking indeed. With this scent on, I feel like I am wearing a new suede jacket; sophisticated, sexy and totally cool.
This is a chic perfume. Lustrous, luxuriant and long lasting; less dense and authoritarian than Narciso EDP and so more wearable, even more fun IMHO.
Anyway, love them both. They’re very alike ¡!

From the reviews below either you love this or hate it. There’s no in between. To those who think this perfume is a travesty, horrendous and just plain wrong, or any Narciso Rodriguez perfume in general. It just means this is not for you. No it isn’t skunky. The positive reviews beg to differ. Nobody can call this simple or uncomplicated. Those saying people only liked this because of the bottle, why be condescending? Give people enough credit.
If you’re wondering why this smells so ‘off’ to you. Think about it this way; musk is a very complicated note in perfumery. Some people are anosmic to it, some people are very sensitive and some are just offended by any musk. There’s no concrete way to find out how one person exactly perceive smell compared to your perception. Focus on the word PERCEPTION. Your brain interprets how you ‘think’ it smells. Am I saying people not liking this are dense? No. What I’m saying is your odor profile vocabulary may be different to mine or theirs.
I hated Poudree the first time I tested it but found myself going back and had to realize I need to have that and other Narciso frags. If after several testing and this is still not for you. It’s just that. It’s not for you. Just move along.

Review based on an in-store generous spritz on the top of my hand.
For an EDT, this one is not the weak and barely there fragrance one often finds these days for a premium price. This one has teeth and attaches firmly to the skin, even on a fragrance eater surface like me.
Narciso opens with a a peppery and very slightly melon hinted rising stream, with the rose playing out with notes that suggest a light chypre with a touch of powder. The peppery notes remind quite a bit of the opening of Versace Crystal Noir but packing far more punch.
This is a quality fragrance that does not smell cheap by any means whatsoever. The nose behind it is gifted with the ability to create a 3 D perfume that seems so layered that you can almost dip your finger into a little pool of fragrance and somehow touch each layer.
Within an hour, this turned into an earthy sharp peppery urine smell, losing almost all of the powdery or floral to give it some balance after being dried out with woods and vetiver. The cedar is part of the problem but it also tries to freshen it up at the same time, confusing my nose further.
The longevity and silage is good but I don’t want to smell like this thoughts make it an unwanted bonus for me. On me, this doesn’t smell feminine and I wouldn’t be attracted to a man that smelled of this.
This is a giant no for me and I would not give it as a gift. I would not recommend blind buying this one, it seems to work well for some people but it is not a one size fits most type of fragrance, so at least make sure to use a sample first if a tester is not available.

I’ve never been sprayed by a skunk or indeed lived anywhere where there’d be a danger of that, but my imagination will henceforth insist it’s just like being sprayed by Narciso Rodriguez.
In fairness, I’ve only tried this and two other Narciso fragrances on paper, but that’s because I found them so vile I couldn’t bear to try them on skin. ‘Vile’ is a word I may have used lightly in the past, but now I realize that on all previous occasions I merely meant something like ‘too sharp,’ ‘too strong,’ ‘too cloying,’ ‘too much of this or that note that I don’t like.’ Narciso is the first perfume ever that I’d call, in all seriousness, a stench.
A single spritz on a paper strip, and I recoiled in disgust. Return to it periodically every half hour—same thing. Repeat with Poudre—more of the same thing, only of a slightly lesser intensity. Repeat with the one in the white bottle—a lesser intensity yet, almost bearable by comparison, but still not. All of them are all about musk, but in a way I’d never experienced it before—animalic in a bad way and, at the same time, as harshly synthetic as burning plastic.
I mean no offense to anyone who likes Narciso scents (I guess they must transform on skin), but I can’t emphasize enough how much they’re NOT safe blind buys. The bottle is so appealing that it might seduce you into buying blind (as I almost did), and you might even be willing to put up with a so-so scent (as I was). The notes and the fact that I’d never disliked musk before had made me think that Narciso couldn’t be worse than pedestrian, but in truth it has the potential to strike you as infinitely worse than that.
The upside of the experience is that it was educational. For me, musk had always been a pleasant yet vaguely defined note. Post-Narciso, it’s so clearly etched in my mind that even something like a Felce Azzurra shower gel, innocuous and familiar since childhood, gives me a twitch of wary recognition.

less sharp than Narciso For Her EDT, which used to be my signature scent. It is a classic combination of musk, peony, rose and cedar. It has great depth.I like it but the rose is a little much for me and it would benefit from some other ingredients to give it complexity.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

This one is very similar to the white bottle Narciso, but a bit juicier. There aren’t any fruit notes listed, so I’ll credit that to the peony. I still get the musk and cedar, but they’re quieter, more understated. The white bottle is more of a fall/winter scent, but this one I could see myself wearing in warmer months. It’s understated and classy, and just different enough from the other mainstream fragrances to stand out. Definitely test both the EDP and the EDT!

I had a Sephora gift card for my birthday and was wandering around the perfume section sniffing this and that in what feels like a neverending quest for a sexy, snuggly, not-too-sweet, not-too-dry cooler weather fragrance (I live in AZ so bear in mind my winter is your summer). Right before I gave up and got makeup instead, I saw the sign for this one listed as “warm & spicy” and gave it a whiff.
Well, I’m not sure why they call it warm & spicy. It’s not. But it is gorgeous. I bought a full bottle rather impulsively — very unlike me — and have only loved it more every time I’ve worn it since then.
On my skin, I get a lot of musk, but filtered through my clothes I am enveloped in this heavenly, thick and velvety rose. This is the fourth time I’ve been knocked head over heels for a rose-based scent over the course of my life, so I guess it’s time I admit that I am apparently a sucker for rose perfume.
There are a lot of different ways to make something smell like roses, though. This isn’t the watery, dewy, almost chemically fresh rose of Chloe. It’s not the dusty, powdery, preserved rose of your grandmother’s potpourri. And it’s not the verdant rose clippings of my summer favorite, Rosabotanica, either, although I do think it is a perfect complement to it. It’s creamy, smooth, dark, enveloping. Clean but not remotely synthetic. In fact, the natural feel of all the notes is probably my favorite thing about this fragrance.
Longevity is fantastic, 10+ hours later I still smell musk on my skin. Sillage is soft, not quite arm’s length, but better than a skin scent.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

Rosey-musky with a warm, earthy, dry-grassy influence from the vetiver. The vetiver is so pronounced on my skin that it feels a bit masculine and also vintage-y! I didn’t get much cedar, which is a note I love. Still, it seemed to work really well with my chemistry, but maybe I was in the wrong mood (or the wrong weather) when I tested it, because I kept asking myself whether I wanted to smell like this. I am undecided and want to test it again for another impression!

  42. :

I tested Narciso edt and edp today. Edt is horrendous, the opening is unbearably screechy and harsh (reminded me of the dry down of Juozas Statkevicius, just as unpleasant) – I didn’t even wait for the middle or dry down. The edp is more sufferable because the smooth creaminess softens the blow a bit. When I checked the notes I found the culprit – cedar. I only tolerate cedar when it is well-blended and plays more of a supporting role than a leading role. Both scents are only for cedar lovers, I suppose. Both variations are not for me, but I think I could appreciate the edp on someone else more than the edt.

Flowery musk. I’m a sucker for NR. I didn’t care for the EDP (white bottle) I found it too creamy and had a weird spicy smell I didn’t get with this one. I bought this blind, which I wouldn’t recommend because I bought the EDP too and I can only pull off this one. So sexy and sophisticated!!!

again, i don’t really care if Narciso is coming out with almost similar scent in every bottles. what words i can say……, this one is gorgeous flowery, musky and woody vibe. really warm, seductive, alluring, sexy and charming mature scent. every time i wear it and i get compliments.

I admit I am not a fan of NR usually…I find most of his fragrances dusty and dry…but I tried this one., then left the store…I kept smelling my wrist, oh my, I liked it, it isn’t screechy, or dry, it just smells great, the top notes are strong, and true it has a soapy rosy vibe, but shortly only…..the woods aren’t dominant on me, the musk is rather well blended in with the flowers..overall, such a lovely perfume..feminine, stylish. Sexy too…I went back and bought it, although I am on a no buy for a while.i just find it smells attractive, it is creamy , well done..and mature in a modern way!!!

Ugh i actually wanted the frag until i tried it on my skin,
sorry to say but it smells like old musky soap
and i tried scrubbing it off twice and my arm still reeks.
The white one smells a little better but both are still a dislike for me.
Make sure to try this on your skin before buying.

Love this perfume and it reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parka Lovely which is being discontinued. It is one of the few perfumes which has staying power, I can smell it, others can but are not over powered by the fragrance unlike Alien which is VILE and triggers a migraine when I smell it. It is sexy and subtle without being obvious…warm and beautiful!

  48. :

I am wearing both as a side by side comparison and I much prefer the white EDP over the black EDT. I think it’s the peony that turns me off with this one. Love the musky woods of both, but this one doesn’t have the same sweet milky floral note that I love in the EDP.

  49. :

Is it possible for me to:
    – love gardenia (seriously, obsessed with this flower),
    – not be crazy about roses,
    – dislike the white bottle, edp,
    – fall in love with the black bottle, edt?
    Turns out – it is!
This is glorious! Modern, woody musk, full of surprises and mistery. Can be worn in a professional environment, can be dolled up to be sexy. So versatile, yet nothing ‘boring’ and predictible about this unique fragrance.
EDP was too strong for me – something powdery/sharp pierced my nose, that was just too heavy. EDT is creamy, nutty, long lasting and completely original, no other scent like it.

Love at first sniff! Usually, I don’t get along well with Narciso Rodriguez fragrances but after all the positive reviews I just had to give this one a try. The rose and musk are very prominent. It reminds me of Armani Diamonds Rose, except it’s not as sweet or synthetic. I could easily wear it every day without getting bored and right now it’s at the top of my wishlist. 😉

Well this is a beautiful little treasure. Even though I love the other Narciso Rodriguez fragrances I find them a little over powering. When Narciso eau de parfum came out I had high hopes but it was too powdery and creamy for me. But this one is truly special. It has the signature musk of Narciso Rodriguez but it is delicate in its approach. It will seduce a man without him realising he is being seduced. The lightness gives you that just got out of the shower feeling I love with the musky sexiness that all women want. It also has a ever so slight sweet quality that keeps it from being harsh. Perfect!

Update Edit. Has become my favourite perfume of the modern age. Like Elena of Perfume Shrine I can’t stop smelling my wrists and we’re way past the honeymoon stage. Put a ring on it.
It’s the Goldilocks syndrome, it has to be ‘just right’ So, if we’re preaching to the converted and you’re familiar with ‘For Her’ Black or Pink, or ‘In Colour’ or ‘Musc Intense’ or Narciso ‘White’ then you are programmed to be quite receptive anyway.
Goldilocks went to the Bears house and tried their porridge, came back the next day and tried their armchairs and finally, third time lucky, (or not so) when the little bear’s bed was ‘just right’ she fell asleep. My battle with NR is not with the perfumes, but the naming of them. As with Lolita Lempicka you can’t just throw a name at your friends who might enquire after your perfume….ah yes, it’s the pink bottle that has a black box, no, no, I’ve got it wrong, it’s the black bottle that has a pink box, oh dear, it’s the eau de parfum with the lovely sillage, but no, hang on, it’s the EDT that wafts around??? Isn’t that right? Confused? It’s soap, but not as we know it.
Narciso ‘Black’ EDT benefits from a generous application, more sprays than you would normally use, but suitably nuked it will last many hours. Another reviewer (Christianne) says she wants to hoard it and I have to confess I do too. It’s gong to be at your perfume counter, easily sampled, so I won’t go into the fragrance notes. My husband loves these summertime musks when I wear them and sometimes in my perfume memory a candle strength of Houbigant White Musk flickers through them and makes me feel young again, now that’s got to be worth the money.

This was my first try in NR line. Actually it’s not my type of interest despite its components (musk, rose). A big NO for me, unfortunately.

I tested Narciso EDT today on my (male) skin. I had very strange feeling that I’d smelt something like this before. I couldn’t remember, but suddenly… Voilà! – Art Homme by Masaki Matsushima (which I had (and liked)). It’s odd, because comparing official notes, they are not similar. But on my skin they are almost the same. Hmm.. Maybe because of woody-musky (and somehow fresh) drydown.. Funny discovery 🙂

Narciso EDT is a woody musky screamer of a date! I love her! She’s more subtle than her EDP sister but just as fun. She’s got strong legs of wood with a musk heart and a head full of rose. Really fun to wear and will get you noticed for the right reasons. Hold on tight!

Didn’t like this at all. Luckily, I only had a sample of this. It smelled so masculine, so harsh on me. Even though I did get the creamy musky vibe, the masculine side of it was too dominant for me. I imagined a guy who wore a cheap after shave while putting on some baby lotion.
I couldn’t use it up so I poured it into the toilet..

I actually didn’t want to purchase this, since I already have the edp (white cube) and love it. But I made “a mistake”, I tested this perfume and… fell in love immediately. I agree, this has the same feminine, elegant, a bit damp, musky “Narciso Rodriguez” vibe (I think all NR fans know what I mean), but this more transparent, more sparkling, less fluffy, less creamy than the edp version. This perfume is like your skin, it sits close to you and whispers softly. The opening is fresh, almost slightly peppery to my nose and flowery (like a fresh, warm spicy rose). And then comes the miracle which made me fall in love -I get a pronounced, quite realistic nut scent. Something woody, delicious, crisp. I understand it must me the vetiver creating this effect, and it’s gorgeous! I just wish, this nutty stage lasted longer (on me it’s only about 10 minutes). After that this perfume becomes very, very close to the edp -musky, spicy, creamy rose mixed with some mystery, darkness and elegance. By the way- the base keeps developing -it’s getting more and more dry, woody, musky. My beloved nut note comes back! The flowers almost disappear, the wood and musk notes stay and
