Rosy perfume that reminds me of new doll scent; kind of synthetic but in a good way. I don’t know what note gives that vibe, but used to enjoy that very same scent on my dollies. A feminine powdery long lasting scent. A really affordable classy scent perfect for everyday and work.

This smells like a powder puff to me. The kind my elderly aunt always had on top of her vanity and would make me feel like I was gagging if I sniffed it as a child. And then a slight odd/weird fruitiness mixed in. Not really my thing, sorry. But regardless of my personal experience and being subjective, I could see this being nice for Springtime, in particular when the cold weather finally leaves and the first hints of Spring appear.
Sillage soft to moderate and soft, not great on longevity, maybe a couple of hours. The bottle to me looks more like a bath type of a product and not a perfume. Meh! I don’t dislike this, it’s just not my taste. Smells nothing like J’adore nor L’Acquarossa to my nose. I am not familiar with the other scents currently listed in the “reminds me of” category. *shrug*

I love this perfume, I just have to say it right off the bat. It’s so nicely done with the soft florals and beautiful frity aspects. I’m very pleased with the sillage and staying power. I do see the similarities to J’dore and I don’t really mind that because they are both beautiful fragrances. The bottle is absolutey something else, it’s so cute with it’s powder pink color and the black with white polka dot bow on it. I would repurchase this again, it’s just so easy to love.

Bottle is very pretty, but the fragrance has a rotten red fruit note that is bad! Almost rancid smelling. So disappointed.

Creamy, innocent and pretty. Unique, truly unlike any other perfume I’ve had. Charming bottle.

This was my signature scent as a teenager and I have so many wonderful memories attributed to this delightful little perfume. This always reminds me of my first girlfriend and I bunking school by climbing over the fence, running off and window shopping in the neighbouring town and buying hot chocolate. It has the dizzying scent of young first love and I find it such a gentle and comforting scent, like walking past someone cutting fresh roses from a bush. I rarely associate perfumes with seasons but for me this is spring in a bottle when there’s still a nip in the air but the sweetness of flowers is blossoming.

By the looks of Nanette Lepore dresses I was excited to try out their perfume. Unfortunately, it smells very generic, I can’t distinct separate notes from the whole mixture. Too bad…

Nanette Lepore is such a lovely lovely perfume. White cranberries! Yum! And delicious peach, and the most gorgeous flowers – it’s a totally gorgeous perfume for me. I love the bottles of this lovely house, and feel special when I wear this. It’s such a cute and adorable bottle. And the box!!! So cute and pretty!
And the perfume is adorable too. Lovely fruit and flowers, especially the violet, and the rose also, and the beautiful dry-down with the violet and sandalwood – very sweet, delicate and smooth. It’s a lovely delicate perfume, very feminine and ladylike. It suits me to a tee. I feel more feminine than usual when I wear Nanette, it seems to enhance me somehow. It’s such a favourite of mine, that I forget I have any other perfumes sometimes! I wear it and wear it and never get sick of it. It’s beautiful.

My first review on fragrantica.com i’m giving it to nanette lepore’s signature fragrance! <3 I got this bottle back in 2004 when it first launched. This is the first bottle of perfume I ever purchased in my life before many other ones. I was hanging out with a friend at Macy’s who is trying to get a bottle of perfume that day. The sales lady let both of us tried this and I happen to fall right in love with this scent. It was so lovely, it was love at first sight (no kidding). I got the smaller sized bottle right away.
This scent is amazing. It is sweet, calm and dreamy. It’s the kind of scent that locks down certain emotions…the kind of scent that brings back memory from the happiest moments of life.
I love it so much that I stop wearing it afraid i’d run out. It’s kinda funny that now I only open it once in a while to sniff the scent when I miss it. I really wish I have gotten the largest bottle instead of the smaller one. Now I’m still in search for a legitimate source to get the largest size.

Nanette is a lovely rose perfume with a soft powdery sweetness and girliness that I still love. I remember when I first got this fragrance. I love the bottle. The peachy scent is there from the start in fact it opens with peach and it’s juicy and not too strong. The rose makes an appearance early on but its also got some violets. If you like floral fragrances this is a good one. Unfortunately it’s hard to find and you have to go hunting for it. I used it up years ago and had a hard time looking for it I found it on ebay 2 years ago. I dont’ know if it’s been discontinued. It’s a really nice fragrance and it also has a great amber. Everything I love about a perfume is in this bottle. I hope they continue to sell it.

This is for the bottle above-opaque pink glass. I read the reviews incorrectly here and bought it at an extremely good price (10USD as of dec 2015). I think I am going to search for the clear glass, which appears to be more my match
Opens with a rose designed to be for a young audience. It turns fruity after and then a dry down that appears muskily sticky. Lasting is about 3-4 hours which appears good for this type of fragrance
A cute bottle that looks adorable, again on a young girl’s dresser or night table.
    Not for me
However, since this is so well priced at holiday time, I decided to post because it would make a great gift

Sigh. I am disappointed–I love all of Nanette Lapore’s other scents and I do think this bottle is adorable–but, while this opens with a fresh burst of rose and fruits, it simply does NOT last on me–usually rose based scents will wear well on me, but not this one! For the brief time I can smell it on myself, it reminds me a bit of Yves Rocher’s “Flowerparty”–a bright mix of rose and citrus that a friend gave me–and I like them both, but the Flowerparty stays with me better!

Another blind purchase, found for a steal at TJ Maxx. I bought it knowing I’d at least like the attractive bottle… But the juice inside is pretty, as well. There’s something about it that consistently reminds me of Bath & Body Works’ long-discontinued Pear Blossom; it’s a fresh fruity-floral with a powdery softness. Very in line with some of Victoria’s Secret fragrances from the earlier 2000s as well, if you like that style; something about it is making me think of the Sexy Little Things line of skin care/ bubble bath, though I don’t currently own any of those to compare.
The peach is pretty dominant, as is the rose (it’s a fruity, powdery rose, though; not too overbearing). I get some of the jasmine as well, especially in the dry down after the fruity-fresh notes become a bit less dominant. This doesn’t come across as too sweet, at least not when compared to some of the sugary fruity-florals that are on the market today. I’d describe this as a relatively safe scent that still has some quirk and charm.

I love the bottle (as with all Nanette bottles) and the opening of this one is fresh and sweet and gorgeous—rose and peach and cranberry with a spritz of lime. It becomes a skin scent within about 2 hours and all I’m really getting is soapy sandalwood and a hint of jasmine. This one is probably going to last 3 hours, tops.
I wish the opening lasted the entire time, that part was pleasant and really lovely. The rest is just…meh. This fragrance is inexpensive and easily found, and I can see it being really pleasing for some. Probably not a keeper for me.

Sparkling, tangy cranberries; sweet, plump peaches; succulent roses. All its goodness combined with a weird, bitter, mediciney powder…
I’m confused about this one. I feel like I could’ve loved it a lot. But then they added something and ruined it.
But if pretty and quirky is what they were going for, they did it.

Oh how I wanted the juice to smell like the bottle looks. This was a blind buy and at seeing the packaging, I imagined the girliest, sweetest, fluffy, frothy, angelic confection imaginable.
Sadly, this is nothing but a scrubber for me. It just smells rotten. Rancid even. So disappointed. At least the bottle will be pretty on my dresser.

I just love this perfume. It is so gentle and soothing, Innocent and sweet….with my nose I’m getting jammy blueberries and roses with the perfect amount of powder from the violets. No citrus…amber comes and goes brief like the breeze. I wear this before bed or while snuggling with a book. A good everyday fragrance but I wouldnt wear her for a hot date or for drinks with the gals…
lasted 6 hrs on skin…I can smell her on me , softly wafting around throughout the day, but have yet to receive comment from others..

I love this fragrance!! so innocent and whimsical. I bought Guerlain Shalimar L’eau Inital for the fact that its powdery and fem, but was not satisfied until I can across Nanette. This is a sweet fruity roses, completely capture the childhood memories. I”ve been looking for this powdery rosy perfume forever. Now Im never letting go………..

    Vintage & adoreble bottle.
Abit too sour to my taste but I think it’s quite nice.
Last quite okay cause it’s a light-weight parfume.

If you want a cheaper version of this get linn young mixed emotions. Honestly it is the absolute copy of this perfume, I have both. They smell exactly alike, except this one has stronger sillage. They share loads of the same notes such as rose, peach, violet, sandalwood and jasmine.
Anyway i wanted this beauty for ages due to loving and adoring the vintage shabby chic looking bottle and i finally bought it. It is cute, adorable and looks perfect among my others. I am not disappointed it is exactly what it says it is a strong thick heavy powdery rose scent. It’s rose, rose, rose. Not slight rose, not a gentle rose blended in with other notes. This is a top thick, heavy dominant rose scent. I love rose scents so im thrilled. Yes the top 3 notes for me would be roses, peaches and violets. It’s thick but also powdery which is difficult to achieve with a fragrance.
This is simply put, a powdery, ultra feminine fragrance with predominant rose. I love to spray it on me when i get out of the bath before bed. It’s powdery, comforting & charming. As it settles and the powder comes through i do detect the smell of makeup powders and cosmetics and the like along with the rose for some reason. Anyway its very womanly and feminine and charming and the bottle is adorable. I love it and shall treasure the bottle always.

I have to admit, I’m someone who’s drawn to quirky, whimsical packaging, that seems perennially stylish but defiantly non-trendy — I love the “Lolita Lempicka” brand, for the same reason.
“Nanette Lepore” is one of those memorable scents that maintains a patina of timelessness, simply because it appears to be a scent that launched a thousand others. “Nanette…” is a creamy-opaque, tart, fruity-floral and almost custard-like in its creamy, sugared powderiness.
I do smell the “J’adore” reference, with the hints of waxy, squeaky, white florals blended in but “Nanette” never reaches the high-pitched, metallic heights of “J’adore” and instead, forgoes the sophisticated, aldehyde shawl, altogether, lounging firmly in the realm of buttercream, white florals, mixed with a fruity rose.
Where “J’adore” commands the ball, in all the restrained elegance of good taste, “Nanette…” is going to be fashionably late, again because she’s still at home, in her maribou slippers and robe, eating bon-bons and powdering her nose. She’ll be the best lady she can be but the coquette in her, always slips out, despite her best intentions and to the horrified whispers of the “J’adore” clique.
Overall, something smells so distinctive and unique about “Nanette Lepore”, even though it could be simply described as a fruity floral and Lord knows we’ve had our fill of those, on the market. But from the quirky, retro and flirtatious packaging, to the always fresh, even a little cool but never transparent, blend, it’s clear the designer marches to the beat of her own drummer and this fragrance was made with that spirit, in mind. Go ahead, Nanette — start a scandal!

I bought the roller ball of this at tjmaxx a few years back for all of $4 and I have to say this is a delight. So strong and rose/musky almost a stomach full of starch it’s so pasty of a smell. Like. Thick. And very heavy on rose and musk. I like it tho. Clean smelling almost expensive. But very heavy I could imagine it enducing a headache for some

So I bought several different perfumes off of ebay and I got them in the mail today. As a blind buy I was really looking forward to smelling this one the most. The combination of notes are all that I am normally happily attracted to. So I opened up the package containing the rollerall, rolled some on each wrist and OMG!YUCK! This is nasty and disgusting! WTF?!?! I have never reacted to any perfume this way. Is it possible that this perfume has gone bad? I scrubbed with soap and water and I cant get it all the way off. I do have a little bit of a cold so maybe that’s why it smells so bad to me? Or is it just how this perfume reacts to my skin? I dunno what happened here. So I’m going to wash again, give it a few days for my cold to pass and try it again. Hopefully then it will be better but if not, I will be happy to pass it on to anyone who can enjoy it. I’ll give an update once my cold is gone to make sure I’m giving a fair review.
UPDATE: Ok so my cold is now long gone and I’ve given this perfume another try. It’s not as bad as it was when I wasn’t feeling well but it is still not my thing. I just think it doesn’t do well with my body chemistry. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is that I don’t like about this perfume.I did smell a fresh bottle while I was a perfume shop last week trying to see if maybe mine had gone bad, but the fresh bottle smelled exactly the same to me.
So. . I have two brand new rollerball’s that I’d like to place in the hands of someone who’d like to try this and could enjoy it, rather than let them sit in their boxes and collect dust in my drawer. Anyone up for a trade? Let me know. =0)

I wore this fragrance on my wedding day. This is such a whimsicle and romantic fragrance. The longevity is fantastic. I could always smell it on my clothing after it had been washed. Sad to say I had a full bottle and it seemed to get stale after a period of time. Has anyone ever experienced this with this particular fragrance?

Lovely and nostalgic perfume. This makes me feel cozy and feminine in a safe, girly, but not sexy, way. I’m not a fan of very powdery perfumes, but this is an exception.

  27. :

This is Perfume, with a capital P. That is, it’s the kind of scent I think of when I think about modern women’s perfume in general. That’s not to say it’s generic; behind the flowers and powder there’s a strong overtone of nostalgia. It smells like an elusive but comforting memory, yet youthful. The perfect scent to wear to a (21st century) tea party.

OBSESSED!! Can’t stop sniffing myself. It smells so fresh and fruity. Reminds me of shampoo and the fragrance lasts for hours. After a while, it becomes very powdery but I can still detect the fruit. One of my new favorites.

So I just received this in the mail… what a pleasant and pretty blind buy!!!! Im so happy I got this! It’s a unique scent for sure.. On my skin its quite sweet, no resemblance to J’Adore at all.. Reminds me of something, but can’t put my finger on it! None the less, I feel really girly wearing this 🙂
EDIT: This is a very strong perfume! Wow!! Just a little goes a long way!

I had a sample of this years ago and upon first sniff I thought “Oh my goodness this smells like one of my old toys!” so in a way it kicked off my search for more dolly frags. Another fruit punch surrounded in roses, this one is a peach-lime-cranberry combination. Wearing this makes me want to don a pink cashmere sweater and use phrases like “Golly gee”. It’s so happy and young, almost retro. Fresh, girl next door impression with great lasting power. Ruffled skirts and heart shaped sunglasses, that’s what Nanette Lepore feels like to me.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Playful, light and adorable. A creamy rose with some sparkling juicy fruits and warm amber at base. Very resemblant of Dior Jadore but better IMHO. I agree with their description of this scent being bright and sparkling but at the same time warm and sensual. I feel this would work for every season, hot or cold. Delectable 🙂

I blind bought this scent off the recommendation of a beauty blogger I follow. She said it was a staple in her collection and that it was very feminine and lovely. So I thought I needed in my collection. Wrong. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is about this scent that I don’t like, but it comes off as old dried flowers on and old woman. I asked my mom if she liked it and she said it was okay so I gave it to her. My recommendation: don’t blind buy this scent.

This was a very amazing blind buy. I fell in love with the first sniff. I can actually smell cranberries and roses. It has a very refreshing, yet fruity and floral fragrance. I was lucky enough to get this gem on Ebay for $13 for a 3.4 oz. EDP. Excellent sillage and longevity.

I love this. It was the first real perfume (as in, not from Bath & Body Works) I was ever given. It always takes me back to my mid-teens, but I find that I’ve grown into it wonderfully. It’s a lovely scent to wear as an adult. I’ve used it for special occasions in the past, and especially love it in the late Fall and Winter. It’s a beautiful scent that has always earned compliments. Youthful, but powdery and rose-like! I always feel carefree and graceful when I wear it.

One of my selfish little main stays. Drys down to a super sweet SHARP incense floral with only a hint of fruit. It only takes a drop of this powerful little juice, anymore and you’d be knocking people out !!!
The sandalwood, cranberry and violets stays with my skin on this one leaving the jasmine peeking out every so often.
Extremely feminine fragrance. Never drew a compliment on this one, but it’s for my satisfaction only :))

I blind buy this scent that was all from their cute bottle (and the positive review is much more than negative). When I unwrapped the plastic seal & open the box, the bottle is so amazing lovely. It made from glass not the plastic as I ever imagine. But after 1 spray to test on my wrist, the rose & rose & rose continually coming to attack me. For me, this fragrance is very sweet & rosyyyy.
The sillage is good >> that make anyone who don’t like this perfume gonna sick. @Turtledove >> Yes, it’s remind me to “babydoll” as well. as sick as babydoll made to me.
BTW, if you are the big fan of ROSE and love the sweet, you may like this.

  41. :

On me, sadly, this perfume smells like Ivory soap! It’s not that I dislike the smell of that particular soap, but it’s not exactly what I’d hoped for! I don’t detect any sweet at all, just soap.

I did a blind buy with this one :0.
When I first got this I thought it was nothing too special, but it is definitely unlike the fruity florals that celebs always inundate the isles of department stores with. At first spray, I smell the jasmine and rose. After 5-10 minutes, the fruitiness and violet come out. In about 20-35 minutes, the vanilla and soft florals are left. This doesn’t have the best projection or lasting power (about 1-2 hours, after that it’s all close-to-your-wrist sniffing for the last traces of vanilla and amber). Girly and not cloying. For now it is my signature.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

I used to own this one, I purchased it just because, I found the bottle cute to sit on my dressing table.
However, the perfume itself I didn’t care for. On my skin I just got a mix of all the fruit notes.
On my skin it smells identical to Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue. Usually, straight fruity perfumes don’t smell great on me and this one doesn’t either.
Lost this one in a divorce, and I wouldn’t repurchase, even if the bottle is cute.

Once more i understood that i shouldnt trust the reviews either positive or negative. I bought Nanette Lepore for the beutiful bottle and all positive reviews. I am completely disappointed!! I just dont like it at all!! It smells so cheap and boring!! I washed my arm and still there. For sure its really long lasting but i just hate it!! I will immediately remove it from my collection and will give some one who can enjoy..Just a yuckkkkkkkkkkk fragrance!

A young woman wakes up on a clear, spring, country morning, applies a few spritzes of J’adore, attends a picnic in the park, and proceeds to be ambushed by an unruly child who accidentally spills a juice box all over the woman’s sundress. I imagine the result would smell something like Nanette Lepore. I’m not a fan of J’adore, and I’m not a fan of this fragrance. I’m not sure why, but I find this very cloying. I am endlessly fascinated by all aspects of perfume, including a fragrance’s “texture”. This fragrance feels both powdery and oily, which is odd. Perhaps the jasmine note is evoking sunscreen? It’s not as much the scent that I dislike, as it is the way the formulation hits my nose. It does have excellent longevity and projects well, but I just can’t make myself like it. It’s too bad, as the bottle is very unique.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Nanette Lepore’s eponymous fragrance reminds me of Daisy’s backwoods cousin. Certainly, Marc Jacob’s Daisy is not a scent I would associate exclusively with the 1% but while there is some level of class and refinement with Daisy, NL is a Pabst Blue Ribbon-swilling downhome gal in cute pink velour sweats. NL is actually very similar to Daisy: both have candied fruits, strong violets, and fluffy roses. Both are strong and long-lasting but the similarities end there; NL dries down to a sweet sandalwood with hints of vague fruit cocktail and generic flowers.
Analogous to my assessment of NL’s Shanghai Butterfly to D&G’s Light Blue, this is a cost-conscientious rendition of Daisy but definitely not a replacement for it. Sticklers for bottles will fall in love with its tchotchke design or hate it immensely. Since I have both NL and Daisy—and prefer Daisy—I keep NL more for its bottle than for its juice.

This one is really growing on me! It really is a “babydoll” kind of scent, it’s adorable and sweet, but in a gentle, understated way, without actually being childish. It reminds me of the soft pink roses and ballerina dolls that I loved when I was very little. The bottle suits it PERFECTLY.
It starts with delicate rosy berries, with violets soft and sweet in the background all the way through, and a hint of that sweet plastic doll smell. (which I don’t find offensive at all.) It dries down to a pleasantly powdery, sweet sandalwood-violet. It sticks around for a while too, it lasted through the day for me, I only reapplied because I felt like it 🙂

i just ordered a large bottle on ebay—a whiff from the bottle smelled mildewed and “off” it seemed strange at the initial moment i sprayed it on but mellowed within 20 seconds into what i remembered. very 90s nostalgic scent. i wouldn’t wear it often but something about it makes me feel warm and cozy.

I just bought a rollie of this at Marsh cuz I remember really liking it and it was SPOILED! SO bummed! I need to find a freah bottle. I don’t even know if they still make this but I’m hoping. It was delicious the last time I smelled it! Mmmmmmmmmm! : )

Smells like a smooth and silky body lotion. This perfume is very soft floral. I like it a lot, very easy going and would be great for the office as well as for romantic date. Very likeable!

Green apples (not listed) proceeded by a lime spritz and musky amber. It changed on me throughout the day, predominately lime and amber. It’s a conservative fragrance, fabulous for spring/summer and in the office. If it had a little more zing, it would be gorgeous, however, it is lovely and clean smelling.

    Oh, how I adore this!
I’m usually not one for fruity/florals as I find they usually lack a depth that I like in my fragrances. This, however, is a creamy dream come true. It is soo smooth and has substance!
The peach actually lingers on my skin all through the dry down and is anchored with sandalwood and violets. So intoxicating!
And such a hidden gem, too. I got a set of EDP, lotion, and purse perfume for $9 at TJMaxx!

Another nice floral fruity fragrance but this one is on the heavier side. From a guy’s point of view, it’s rich and sweet with a bit creamy in feel. Sandalwood is great here as it anchors everything down while lime helps refreshen up the scent when it starts to feel too heavy. Again, it’s a nice floral fruity that is quite heavy and rich. If you are in the market for a lighter kind, perhaps keep looking.

  56. :

When I smell it in the bottle I love it, it’s a very pretty floral, but as soon as it’s on my skin it’s a different story. I am constantly noticing it, and not in a good way, it almost makes me feel a little ill. I have come to the sad realization that this is one scent I cannot wear.

this is a very feminine floral and you can defintely smell the fruits. its also long lasting which surprised me. its very warm and humid today and this is working very well with the weather. i like it a lot and i’m enjoying wearing it. the bottle is another plus, very cute and girly.

I am smelling soap. Something like the Irish springs or zest. Anyone else?

Smelled this for the 1st time yesterday- very nice, a creamy floral without being pretentious. No hits you in the face like a frying pan at 1st, it sort of lingers like other Nanette Lapore fragrances- good for the office or family gatherings, I may very well go back & get this one. The only problem with NP scents is that they dont last very long on my skin

A pretty delicate scent. Imagine ruffles and pastels and pretty little things, it will make you feel pretty and sweet, like a Disney Princess or a porcelain doll with long curly lashes. Pretty, fun, careless, laughter, all things bright, positive, happy, naive, innocent, but it suits a woman of any age for sure. It is as beautiful on my mother who is in her 50’s as it is beautiful on me. I like it a lot..in moderation and with a light hand. This lasts a long time on skin and clothes, and the silage is just amazing! Perfect for a first time perfume for a young girl, or when you just want to feel like young again.
Rosy, sweet, floral, on a smooth sandalwood base

I have low tolerance for sweet floral-fruity perfumes but this Nanette Lepore perfume is just amazingly well made that I fell in love with it the instant i smelled it! Unquestionably the ONLY sweet, floral fruity perfume that I truly love. Its so soft and innocent and it has a creamy feeling to it. It is sweet but not cloying at all, it is very soft. Plus its one of a kind, I’ve never smelt anything quite like it. Whenever I smell it, I feel like I’m a little girl again =) yes the scent is that innocent! And I think the bottle represents this perfume perfectly! Its a great first perfume for young girls.

This is similar to Lulu Guiness, but smoother. J’adore is superior, but its in the same family. Very feminine, floral, cheerful. Unless it just doesn’t gel with your personal chemistry, I don’t see how anyone wouldn’t like this. I recomend!

I think Nanette Lepore is one of the best perfumes i have ever owned, it is so beautiful such a fresh fruity floral scent i dont get what someone said about it drying down to an oriental i dont get that on my skin and i dont get all the rose and violet everyone speaks about for me it is all about the cranberry this is my favorite scent of all time its fresh and makes me feel really pretty when i wear it, this is my go to spring and summer perfume i love it so much i even wear it in the winter.. It is a must have in my collection at all times !!!!!

Makes me think of Lola, just not as “life of the party.” Only cranberry opposed to raspberry. Peach opposed to pear. Lime opposed to grapefruit with the addition of another citrus. More strict florals as well. No complaints.

Just bought this perfume for Xmas – unsniffed have to admit – but didn’t disappoint me at all. Yes it reminds me of Jadore, too – which is also great!!! Romantic and sweet in a unique way, but easy to wear and lasts for ever!!! Nice packaging too!!!

Lovely bottle and lovely fragrance. It’s a great light fragrance for an adult and also a great “first” fragrance for a teen. It’s a soft floral with a hint of fruit. I get lots of pink baby roses on a layer of powdery sandalwood. Beautiful!

Well, color me surprised and tickled pink! I broke my rule and bought this unsniffed. I found it at a deep discount that was too cheap to miss after noticing some Fragrantica friends with impeccable taste gave it a thumbs up.
Nanette Lepore is a remarkably grown-up floral fruity, with emphasis on the floral notes. It appears to contain a veritable fruit basket if you look at the notes listed here, but this fragrance is not really sweet. Notice the absence of vanilla, honey, cream, frosting, etc. The fruits are unadorned by sweetener and quickly yield to beautiful rose and jasmine notes.
But wait a bit! Sniff your wrist about 4 hours later and whoa! It’s now a deep oriental amber/sandalwood blend. What a complete turn-around from the top and heart notes in the early stages of the scent!
The EDP concentration lasts a good six hours or so, with strong sillage throughout. Nicely done and much more complex than I was expecti
