Myth by Ellis Brooklyn is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance. Myth was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Jerome Epinette. Top notes are bergamot, ambrette (musk mallow) and cassis; middle notes are orchid, pink lotus and jasmine; base notes are patchouli, musk and white cedar extract.

    I bought a roller ball of this today at Sephora. I like Jasmine, so the sales girl showed it to me and then a few minutes later while I was having my makeup done, I smelled it on the makeup artist. It reminds me a lot of the Lucky perfume in the pink bottle. Lucky you, I think. Does anyone else pick up on that when they smell this? It reminds me a lot of laundry. I don’t know that I’ll wear it all the time, but I figured it was worth a try.

    This was too much on my skin. There is a roundness that feels impenetrable to me where I can’t get the levels or layers to come through. It is overwhelming in a soft sense – if I keep my distance to it, it’s inviting, but when I get closer it quickly envelops me. I can see it working on others, it simply isn’t a fit for me.

    Got this as a sample with an online order. Never would have looked at this, so it is an unexpected pleasant surprise.
    Unisex, but not too unisex, if that makes sense. I think that some who typically do not like unisex may actually like this. I got this as a sample with an online order and while I feel I have so many unisex fragrances as it is, I actually like this and am seriously considering a full bottle.
    The notes are blended nicely to my nose/on my skin, that nothing stands out too heavily nor dominating. The floral notes keep the musk and pepper notes from dominating and being “too” unisex. The bergamot adds a burst of freshness and cleanliness. Nice. Definitely considering a full bottle. Soft to moderate sillage and longevity.
    Update: As the day goes on, some 8 hours after applying this, this ultimately dried down to a soapy white floral. But the main part of the day this is pretty unisex smelling to my nose.

    Although I don’t think this fragrance is one that stands out and wow’s me, I do think it’s simplicity is what makes it so beautiful.
    This is a very pretty floral musky perfume. This is great for summertime since it’s so refreshing, but I also think this can be pulled off during the colder months.
    Overall, I feel this is fairly linear. I smelled a little bergamot in the opening, and the lotus really stands out to me. I don’t get much patch in the drydown. The florals are the main players here, everything else is pretty far in the background.
    The longevity of this was average. I can get 6 hours from this. Sillage was very soft though. I thought Calvin Klein’s Reveal was a skin scent, but this is much more so. After around 3 hours, it doesn’t even smell like it’s a perfume anymore, but rather, part of your skin. It’s very soft.
    Perfect for those with perfume sensitivities in my opinion.
