Bargain priced scent with surprising quality. I have several of the Varens ‘mini’ line which I really like as everyday ‘pleasant’ fragrances, so blind-bought this from an online auction site, hoping for something interesting; but also fearing that I might end up with just a rather characterless nondescript musk. Far from the latter as it turns out. It might be listed here as an Oriental Vanilla but it is also very gourmand.
After the initial spray there is a quite brief burst of sweetness, which I guess is the mimosa but my brain said ‘cotton candy’! Then, a couple of minutes of a decidedly plasticy spice (star anise?) which I didn’t like and was starting to fear the worst, that I was going to have to scrub. Then, foof!, licorice allsorts ( by which I mean a sweet confectionery licorice, not a dark molasses-type licorice) which lasted a couple of hours on my skin with slowly increasing vanilla peeping through from the background. Several hours later and I still have a warm, musky vanilla with caramel overtones evident, although it does not have a great deal of sillage.
Think this will be light enough to wear for work, and not be too intrusive, but still noticed by anyone who gets close enough. I like it.

There is nothing “crazy” about it but it’s a nice and smooth scent, powdery and slightly sweet. Anise and licorice can be annoying as hell but here both are very well blended in creamy vanilla musk. The caramel adds a hint of aromatic sweetness. Everything is soft and gentle like an inoffensive bodylotion. The sort of scent thats’s comforting, something you put on in the evening after a shower before you go to bed.
If you like the Lolita Lempicka perfumes you will probably enjoy this one too.
“Crazy” is rather innocent but not childish. Staying power is actually pretty good. It’s still there after a long day in the office. I like it, it’s so comfy. Feels like bottled hugs and smiles.

Oh, I’m a man and if I smelled this on a woman I’d go crazy. No pun intended.

Wow! First to review? This stuff is great. Bought a sample and i couldn’t believe it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Vanilla lovers rejoice! Some musk. Good vanilla.
